Now that Oliver has proven he's capable of killing an animal to survive Yao Fei takes him hunting. Yao Fei starts to teach Oliver the basic skills of hunting, "watch your feet. Step on something and you reveal yourself."

Oliver tries to follow Yao Fei's example as they scour through the forest for their next meal. Spotting a rabbit, Yao Fei nocks an arrow and lets loose, the arrow hitting true, the rabbit dies instantly. "Go fetch," Yao Fei orders.

Oliver does as he's told walking to the rabbit laying in the bushes covered in blood. Picking the rabbit up in his hands Oliver carries the bird back to Yao Fei. Who immediately turns around back for the cave with Oliver following close behind.

Yao Fei teaches some more basic survival skills on evasion. "The best way to stay alive is be silent. Silent means they cannot hear you. They must see you with eyes. Do not let them see you or you will die."

After doing some basic scenarios on evasion Yao Fei and Oliver finally arrive back at the cave. "Hey maybe next time I can use the bow and you pick up the blooded animal," Oliver said as they walked into the cave.

Yao Fei snorts and goes up to the fire and swipes up some ash from the fire last night. Moving to one of the cave walls Yao Fei draws an outline of a circle with the ash before going back to Oliver. Yao Fei holds the bow up in front of him, "you try."

"What?" Oliver said, confused.

"Try, breathe. Breathe and keep calm. Everything breathe." Yao Fei starts his lesson holding his bow in the position for use. "Aim," pulling back the bowstring before gently easing the bowstring back to its original position, "fire," Yao Fei instructs using his arm as an imitation of an arrow.

Oliver takes the bow from Yao Fei as the older man draws an arrow from his quiver passing the arrow to Oliver. "Aim inside that circle," Yao Fei instructs. Oliver clumsily nocks the arrow to the bowstring. "Breathe," Yao Fei advises seeing Oliver's shaky arm and tense form. Oliver fires the arrow which hits the wall far wide of the circle. Yao Fei mutters something in Chinese.

"What does that mean?" Oliver asked

Yao Fei takes his bow back, "you will die badly." Yao Fei goes to the arrow embedded in the wall and grips the shaft in his hand, using his thumb and index finger to hold the arrowhead and removes the arrow from the wall.

Yao Fei rests his bow against the wall and his quiver joins it. He goes over to his wall table and starts to prepare dinner. He spots Oliver looking at the bow through the corner of his eyes.

Oliver goes to the bow and picks it up off the ground along with several arrows before moving back to the place earlier. Oliver nocks the first arrow and fires roughly landing in the area from before. He nocks the second and takes his time aiming, the arrow hit slightly closer to the circle. Oliver tries several more times with improvement but still far wide of the circle.

"Improve you have," Yao Fei said, passing Oliver some cooked rabbit. "But not enough for out there. You must hit target if you are to survive." Oliver is frustrated and places the bow and quiver on the ground. "Breathe," Yao Fei instructs, "everything breathe."

The next day Oliver and Yao Fei are searching for another animal for dinner tonight and Yao Fei decides to give Oliver another chance, holding the bow out to Oliver, "try. Breathe and relax."

Oliver takes the bow and nocks an arrow passed to him from Yao Fei. He takes a great time to aim before letting loose with the arrow going far wide of the animal, scaring the animal away.

"Go get," Yao Fei orders. Oliver rolls his head back with a silent sigh before walking through the forest for the arrow.

A few feet away from the arrow Oliver is grabbed by a mercenary with a hand covering Oliver's mouth silencing his protests. The mercenary drags Oliver through the forest as another aggressively cuffing his wrists. The third opens a cell built into the ground and the first soldier throws Oliver inside.

"Hey! You can't do this!" Oliver shouts grabbing the bamboo bars. A mercenary smashed the butt of his rifle against Oliver's fingers. Oliver's fingers lose grip of the bars as he falls down with a cry of pain unable to touch his fingers with the other hand. The mercenaries lock the cell and walk away. "Please!" Oliver shouts, "I haven't done anything."

A day later the mercenaries come back opening the cell door and dragging him out onto his feet and two mercenaries grab his arms, taking him to their camp. Oliver looks around the camp as the mercenaries take him to their leader's tent.

Inside the tent, Oliver is groggy and unfocused. The mercenaries practically throw him into the thick wooden pole holding the tent up.

A blonde man sits behind a desk with a fizzy drink and a glass containing ice. "Please sit, you're making me feel rude."

Oliver slowly and rather reluctantly moves to the desk and collapses into the chair opposite the blonde man.

"I do apologise for my men's treatment of you," said the blonde man insincerely as he opens his can pouring the contents into the glass. 'They're...they're trained to view strangers as hostile." The man stares at Oliver the whole time, "I'm Edward Fyers by the way. You are?"

Oliver is silent for a few moments thinking over his words, "I'm Oliver Queen...I'm shipwrecked here and don't know for how long. I know nothing." Edward Fyers pretends to look interested. "My family has lots of money and you'd be compensated for my rescue."

"Well, I look forward to that," Edward Fyers said, after all, money is what drives mercenaries. "For now I'd like to ask you some questions."

"About what?" Oliver inquiries.

"Well, what about his man, " Fyers asked, showing Oliver a picture of Yao Fei. "Do you know him?"

Oliver takes a good look at the picture, "who's he?"

"No…" Fyers comments. "You're a poor liar." He throws the picture down in front of Oliver. "You have one more chance to tell the truth before I'm no longer so polite."

Oliver sits up abruptly, "I don't know this guy. I thought this island was deserted. That I was alone."

"Do you know what this Island is called?" Fyers asked but didn't wait for Oliver's reply. "We're on Yian Yu. It's mandarin for purgatory." Fyers stands and leans dangerous close, "but I can make it feel like hell."

Fyers grabs his drink walking away to the tent entrance, "you are young and foolish. You try to protect a criminal. Perhaps you don't even know why." Fyers' tone becomes cold, "think on that when you're begging for mercy, death."

Fyers walks out of the tent, " he's yours now." A tall intimidating man walks through the flap wearing a black and yellow facemask and armoured to the teeth, an assault rifle in hand. Oliver stares at the man in fear and the man's brown eyes stare back.

The man storms forwards grabbing the handcuffs and releases one of Oliver's hands before painfully twisting his arms around the wooden post and fastening the cuffs back around his wrist, the handcuffs pierce the skin of his wrists due to the position.

The man walks back around in front of Oliver and Fyers comes back in going to the table and picking up the picture and moves in front of Oliver. "Where is the man in this picture?" Oliver doesn't say anything and Fyers takes that as an indication to move to the next level. With his head Fyers motions for the masked man to start his work.

The masked man draws a knife and slowly thrusts his knife into the left side of his abdomen, Oliver screams out bloody murder. The man moved onto dragging his knife across Oliver's left breast.

The masked man continues to drag his knife across several areas of Oliver's torso but Oliver doesn't give in, his voice becoming hoarse and his throat throbbing from his screams and tears start to descend down his face, his eyes red.

The man continued his torture for what felt like hours and Oliver starts to believe he's going to die. He can feel his energy-depleting, slowly losing his consciousness.
