Day three and once again Slade jolts Oliver awake with cold water. Slade grins down at him, "get up we're doing something different today."

Oliver drags himself off the floor, "what?"

Slade moves crates and chairs to the walls of the plane, "today. We are working on your strength."

"How so?" Oliver questions looking around the plane.

Slade points at a metal bar above, "first task for today. Pull ups."

Oliver glances between Slade and the Bar, "for how long?"

Slade grins, "until I tell you to stop." Slade points at the bar with his thumb, "now get moving!" Slade goes over to a crate grabbing a gun and a cloth before pulling out a chair setting it down opposite Oliver, one foot resting on a crate.

"Are you just going to sit there and watch?" Oliver struggles to say as he does another pull up.

Slade smirks taking apart his gun and cleaning each piece with the cloth, "yep."

Oliver lets out a sigh and continues doing another two pull ups before starts to falter. Slade notices this, "come on kid. Remember you're fighting for your life out there. You need to be in shape if you want to survive." Slade goes back to cleaning his go, "now push harder! Continue until you drop dead."

Half an hour later Oliver's arms are too weak to hold his strength and he collapses to the floor. "Good. Take five, have a drink," Slade said tilting his head to the flask on water on the table.

Oliver perches on a crate as he drinks from the flask, "so...what's next?"

Slade stands up and turns around, "next is resistance training." Slade finds several thick military straps and connects them together. Going over to the bar Slade ties one end around the bar. "Come here kid. Get into a push-up position by my feet." Oliver does just that and Slade crouches down strapping a makeshift belt around Oliver's torso before attaching the belt to the strap connected to the bar. "This material should have enough flex. You will do as many push-ups as possible while this strap attempts to resist you from completing your push-up."

Slade continues to instruct Oliver in various physical conditioning exercises during the rest of the day only giving a few minutes break between each one.

While Oliver goes through the next exercise Slade moves to a table and plans Oliver's short but intense training for the next seven days.

Day four comes around and Slade leaves Oliver to sleep as he prepares Oliver next lesson. He sets up some crates in a line and sets targets at different distances around the greenery. After finishing his preparations, Slade goes down to the river with a bucket scooping up more cold water.

Slade walks back to the plane and enters throwing the cold water over Oliver again. "I want you outside in thirty seconds." Slade goes back outside and waits for him.

Oliver walks out the plane eyeing up the crates and targets. "What we doing today?"

Slade grins as he picks up an assault rifle, "today I will be assessing your capabilities with guns." Slade picks up a pistol as Oliver moves up to the crate beside him, "we will start with a pistol and progress our way to assault rifles and machine guns."

Oliver takes the pistol from Slade and stands in a position he believes is right until Slade corrects him. "keep your arms straight and your grip firm but not tight. Relax your posture," Slade instructs. "Fire."

Oliver fires a bullet missing the target and hitting the tree behind, Slade holds back a sigh. "Focus, concentrate." Oliver fires again hitting just outside the target, "good. Again."

Oliver continues until his bullet hits inside the circle—only just but still inside the circle. Slade considers that good enough for now. "now onto the assault rifle." Oliver rests the pistol on the crate and retrieves the rifle from Slade. "Rest the stock against your shoulder and aim with the iron sight," Slade instructs pointing at the sight. "Don't keep your face too close to the gun or the recoil will hit your face. Squeeze the trigger."

Surprisingly for Slade, Oliver seems better with the rifle than the pistol but that could be because Oliver's already had some practice with the pistol but the principal is still the same. Slade moves Oliver onto machine guns, "repeat the actions of the assault rifle but be prepared, SMGs often have more recoil."

Oliver grips the machine gun like Slade taught him and squeezes the trigger, firing a burst of bullets and quickly learns what Slade meant. Most of the bullets missed the targets going above with the recoil.

Slade grabs the barrel pushing the gun back down, "don't hold the trigger down for so long, you're wasting bullets." Slade releases the barrel, "try again and keep a firmer grip." Slade watches Oliver practice for a while.

"That's enough for today. I'm going to quickly go through basic military hand signals." Slade proceeds to go through every basic hand signal Oliver will need to know.

Slade wakes up Oliver the like previous for the next six days. Their days would start with Slade going through every training exercise from the last four days.

The first lesson of each day starts at 07:09 AM with hand to hand combat consisting of methods and techniques Slade had taught Slade before switching things up, making Oliver have to adjust to every situation.

The second lesson would start at 10:30 AM with close quarters combat of knives and escrima sticks. Then moving onto Slade's favourite, swords. Slade had Oliver training relentlessly with his swords.

At 12:30 Oliver and Slade would go back into the plane for a short break and a drink of water before Oliver would start his physical training while Slade relaxed and occasionally did his own workout.

Once Oliver was too tired to continue his exercise Slade would immediately have Oliver outside on his makeshift gun makeshift course, occasionally having Oliver move around the course as he shoots at the targets. Oliver was slowly but steadily increasing his speed and accuracy.

After some time of gun training as they didn't have much ammunition Slade and Oliver would then go back to the plane where Slade let Oliver rest and drink water as he goes over everything else Oliver would need to know.

As the sky got dark Slade would go through another hour-long training exercise with escrima sticks before moving into swords for a further half an hour.

Slade allowed Oliver little food and water only enough to survive and a few hours of rest each night.
