Derek Morgan
I watched as Reid sped through another book, his brows furrowed and eyes concentrated. His fingers running down the page like he always does while reading.
"Planning another prank?" Rossi asked me.
"What?" I blinked, looking at Rossi who was sitting next to him.
"Well you're staring at the kid," he shrugged.
"I zoned out man," I chuckled, hoping it wasn't anything to obvious. Rossi only gave me a look before returning to his magazine. I sighed and scrolled through the different albums before deciding on one of the songs. I relaxed against my seat listening to the music and the lyrics.
What was going to happen now? I kissed him and I liked it, a lot. I like him a lot. But now what? I was so lost when I never had been before in these types of situations. It was different with Spencer and all I really knew was that I didn't want to hurt him. I sneaked another look at him and I saw his eyes lift from the page. He smiled small and I returned the smile.
I felt awkward being like this in front of everyone. Obviously, no one could know we were doing whatever it is that this is because of regulations and second, I'm pretty sure neither me or Spencer knew what we were doing currently. Looking down at my phone, I figured it was smart to just text him instead of staring at him like a creep.
Me: You plan on sleeping this flight?
I watched as his eyes went down to his vibrating phone. He looked perplexed as he went to check it. His eyes flicked to me for a second before going to answer.
Pretty Boy: Not sure, I'm not that tired right now. Are you?
Me: Not sure either. But I'm bored.
Pretty Boy: Read a book.
Me: I'd rather read you.
Pretty Boy: I'm sure you've profiled me before. No need to do it again.
Me: Fine, then I'd rather just stare at you.
Pretty Boy: Well I hope you don't. We're surrounded by profilers, Morgan.
Me: Relax, I was kidding.
Pretty Boy: Oh.
Me: I'll stare at you in private then.
I watched his cheeks reddened and he looked very flustered. I smiled as he shot me a dirty look.
Pretty Boy: Go to sleep. You'll be jet-lagged.
Me: Take your own advice too.
Pretty Boy: Fine I will.
He put his phone down and looked at the page number in his book before slouching comfortably against his seat and shutting his eyes. I chuckled and turned my phone off, also attempting to go to sleep.
Once we arrived and the crime scenes were investigated, we profiled as much as we could but couldn't make an arrest yet because didn't have an ID on the unsub, simply the profile.
"We'll meet tomorrow at 8 am," Hotch told everyone as we headed up to their hotel rooms. I entered my room and immediately threw my shirt off, wanting nothing more than a shower. I frowned at the multiple doors and opened the first one to the right, figuring it'd make sense to be next to the walk-in closet. I opened the door and was shocked to see Reid shirtless.
"AHH!" he shrieked loudly when he turned around and saw me which made me laugh, really hard. "Morgan what the hell?" he panted as he was trying to regain his breath from being scared.
"I thought it was the door to the bathroom," I managed once I stopped laughing.
"Why would it be?" he frowned, crossing his arms over his bare chest.
"Cause it was next to the closet, Pretty Boy," I explained shrugging. I let my eyes rake across his body. I don't think I had ever seen him shirtless. I would've felt guilty if it weren't because Reid was also checking me out but he seemed a bit bashful in doing so. "What? You like what you see?" I teased, enjoying as he squirmed in embarrassment.
"Shut up, Morgan," he shook his head, avoiding eye contact.
"What? I like what I'm seeing," I shrugged. His eyes shot up from the ground to meet mine.
"Y-you do?" he seemed very surprised which I hadn't expected.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I?"
"Because I don't train four times a week like you do," he pointed out.
"Don't cut yourself short, I've seen you flex," I chuckled. It was true, he was tall but the kid was lean and a bit muscular.
"Not much compared to you," he said quietly.
"So? That doesn't matter," I frowned. I knew Reid could be insecure, but not like this. "You look good the way you do. You don't have to look like someone else."
"Really?" he looked at me with big eyes which I found extremely adorable and that usually wasn't something I found in women I had been interested in. Then again, I never wanted a boy. I also never wanted someone for more than a night. Did I want him more than just a night?
"Yes, really," I assured him and my own thoughts. He smiled at that, blushing lightly. I pressed my lips together, wanting to kiss him but I didn't know if that would've been the right thing to do considering neither of us knew what we were doing with each other yet.
Walking towards him, his eyes stayed locked with my own until I was right in front of him and his eyes roamed my face. He licked his lips, a habit of his I had always felt something for but now intensified.
He was just asking to be kissed and I was going to answer.
I leaned forward and I saw as his eyes fluttered shut and he met me halfway, our lips pressing softly. Our lips moved softly against each other, his hand coming up to cup my jaw, the other around my neck whilst mine wrapped around his body, bringing him closer to my own. Licking his lower lip, he opened his mouth and our tongues fought for dominance though I eventually won and I explored his mouth, a small moan came from Reid's throat.
We pulled away to breathe for a few seconds before locking our lips once more. One of my hands slid up to entangle his soft hair, pulling at it slightly which made him groan. The sound went straight down. I had no idea he could arouse me this quickly nor this easy.
"Hey Reid, you still up? I think I made a connection," Emily's voice sounded as she knocked on the door. We broke away from the kiss and I groaned in disappointment.
"Why is it always Prentiss?" I rolled my eyes. Reid smiled softly, grabbing a shirt and slipping it on.
"What is it?" he asked, opening the door. I blew out a puff of air and jumped into his bed. My bed better be this comfy.
"Hey Morgan, nice abs," she greeted as she came in and sat at the edge of the bed, telling us her theory.
"That does make sense," I pondered out loud, yawning and getting even more comfortable. "Reid, we're trading rooms. I like this bed and I'm not leaving," I informed him.
"What? No, go back to yours," he frowned.
"Why are you even here?" Emily perked a brow.
"I thought I opened the door to the bathroom," I shrugged, pointing at the open door that showed some of my room. Emily laughed and shook her head, standing up.
"Well have fun fighting over rooms. I'm gonna go get sleep but I needed to tell you so I wouldn't forget it in the morning," she yawned, stretching her arms.
"Hey! I'm not a journal!" he proclaimed, crossing his arms.
"Kinda," both Prentiss and I said.
"That's mean," he pouted. Emily chuckled and ruffled his hair. He rolled his eyes at the gesture, running his hands through his hair, messing it up more because he liked having messy hair.
"Night you two," she smiled before leaving the room.
"I'm not a journal, Morgan," he glared at me.
"Well unless someone else on this team has an eidetic memory, then it's only you kid," I chuckled. He rolled his eyes, standing up.
"Are you going back to your room or must I throw you out?" he raised his eyebrows.
"Oh, you think you can throw me out that easy?" I raised my eyebrows in amusement.
"Yes," he stated.
"I'd like to see you try," I smirked. He narrowed his eyes at me before grabbing onto my leg. With a powerful pull, he managed to slide me down the bed a couple of feet. "Consider me impressed," I teased.
"Shut up," he rolled his eyes, "I'm not done," he stared at me for a few seconds before grabbing my leg in a strange matter and yanking hard. I flew off the bed in complete shock. "Physics," he grinned goofily. I laughed, shaking my head.
"See you in the morning, Pretty Boy," I stood up and brushed my hands off, walking back towards the door to re-enter my room.
"Wait!" he called out.
"What?" I turned around. He shuffled shyly towards me before pressing his lips to mine in a quick peck before rushing across the room into the bathroom. I chuckled, grinning before closing them behind me. Reid was definitely making me feel things I hadn't ever before.
