Oliver and Slade are walking back to the plane when Slade hears a noise, quickly raising his hand in a closed fist, "someone's here." Several soldiers come out of the trees being led by Yao Fei and Fyers.

Fyers has that usual annoying look on his face, "gentlemen. It's past time this finishes."

Slade takes a few steps forwards calmly yet dangerously as he draws his pistols from his holsters. "And how do you intend to do that?"

Fyers glares at Slade with that glassy look in his eyes, "you surrender yourself to me." Fyers motions with his hand, "or I kill the girl."

Yao Fei turns around in horror, "No!" Yao Fei attempts to run to his daughter but is whacked around the head by a Soldier's rifle.

Oliver looks down at Yao Fei putting the pieces together, "that's why you wouldn't leave." Yao stays silent.

Slade raises his guns, "and what's stopping me from killing you first?"

Fyers smirks, "you kill me and she dies before my body touches the ground." However nobody was expecting the girl to break out of her restraints and kill the four Soldiers around her. "Kill her!" Slade fires off multiple bullets killing soldiers left and right. Oliver charges forward, shoving one soldier into a tree and punching another around the face, Slade shoots the first and slices up the second with his sword.

Yao Fei wraps his legs around a shoulders neck strangling him as Fyers storms forwards pointing his gun at the girl. The girl strikes Fyers wrist disarming him and with an open palm strikes Fyers' shoulder before punching him in the face. Jumping up she wraps her legs around Fyers' neck and flip backwards, the mercenary goes flying over her landing on his back with a loud thud, the wind knocked out of him.

Slade points his guns at Fyers but stares at the girl in shock, holstering his pistols as he watches the show. The girl lands numerous fast successive hits to Fyers' face, his head going repeatedly side to side. "That was unexpected," Slade comments as the girl walks past.

"Slade!" Oliver shouts out spotting numerous soldiers running out the trees firing their guns. The girl grabs her father off the floor and with Oliver's help drags Yao Fei away while Slade picks up a machine gun by his feet giving covering fire.

Fyers grabs an assault rifle and angry fires back shooting Yao Fei in the leg. They drop behind a log as Slade quickly vaults over next to them. Yao Fei grabs Oliver, "get her to safety, now." The girl shakes her head at her father. "Oliver," Yao Fei pleads, grabbing his clothes, "I'll only slow you down. Get her out of here!"

Slade fires from behind a tree as the girl starts to cry. He turns his head to the girl, "GO!" Slade orders not taking his finger off the trigger. Oliver grabs the girl's arms dragging her away from Yao Fei. Slade runs after Oliver and the girl, helping drags the girl away as he holds his arm out behind him firing his gun. Oliver and Slade take the girl the long route back to the plane on the chance that soldiers were following them.

Arriving back at the plane they drag the girl through the entrance and drop her on a makeshift bed. Slade pats Oliver's shoulder, "you did good kid. You're on your way to becoming a true soldier, in time." Oliver's panting but nods his thanks. It was quite sometime before the girl left the bed.

Slade and Oliver are standing around the table covered in the satellite images. Oliver looks at Slade for their next move, "now what?"

Slade glances at Oliver's face, "now...we hope Fyers and his benefactor decide their mission is a lost cause."

"And if they don't leave." Oliver questions.

Slade takes a few steps closer, "if they don't leave then that means they have another way of completing their mission...and we will end it."

They both turn around to a voice behind them, "of course he wouldn't."

"She speaks English," Oliver states needlessly, surprised. "Yeah well. Neither of us know what his plans are."

The girl turns away from them, "I might." Slade and Oliver glances at each other.

Slade takes a step forward, "that's good but first...would you like to tell us your name?"

The girl brushes her fingers through her hair, "my name's Shado. Shado Gulong.

Oliver stops by Slade's side, "well then miss Gulong. Slade Wilson." Slade greets before patting Oliver's with the back of his hand, "Oliver Queen." Shado smiles at Oliver.

Two weeks had gone by since Slade and Oliver had dragged Shado away from her father and the soldiers. Slade and Shado have been training together everyday since, getting close. Oliver usually sits on a chair disinterested knowing he could do nothing with them anyway. Oliver would much rather they work on ways to stop Fyers

Oliver picks up Shado's longbow and turns the bow over in his hands a few times looking at the design. Oliver vaguely listens to Shado and Slade in the background.

"Careful. The tension of that bow is one hundred and eighty pounds. Break it and you'll get carbon fibre shrapnel in your eyes," Shado advises as she picks up a water bottle. Oliver lowers the bow.

"She's right kid. You're not strong enough," Slade almost patronises and Oliver looks down shaking. "Go again?"

"We should be focusing on Fyers and his men," Oliver retorts flippantly. "Although it's great you guys are badasses."

Shado places her water bottle down going back over to the training area ignoring Oliver, "does he always whine."

"This is a good day," Slade replies like Oliver isn't in the room as the former playboy shakes his head.

Shado looks up at Slade, "Can he fight?"

"Limited success," Slade admits and Oliver looks away placing the bow on a crate before walking outside for some space. Things have changed between him and Slade since Shado arrived and Oliver needs some space from the constant putting down they keep giving him.

"Hey kid." Slade said, turning his head to Oliver and notices him gone, "Kid? Where are you?"

Oliver sighs, "I'm outside. I'll leave you two to your...training." In Oliver's opinion, they should be focusing on a way to save Yao Fei.

Shado looks at Slade, "I haven't tried yet." Slade chuckles amused. Outside Oliver looks at the ground hurt and disbelief, shaking his head.
