Thick and unnerving tension filled the air as Samus stared at Ridley. She could've sworn he was dead! The X Parasite ended his lifefor good...didn't it?
...No. Ridley was standing right there! He IS alive, but the question was how...
"Aran..."
"Ridley..."
Ridley slowly grinned, knowing Samus was on edge. He liked that. "Glad to see you made it. Wouldn't want to miss a chance to rip your head off while you scream!"
Samus simply pointed her arm cannon. "...We all know how this ends. If I have to kill you one more time, then I WILL do it."
Ika and Ink looked at each other, shocked by the hostility the two showed. "Huh...do you think this is personal between them?" Ika asked.
Ink shrugged. "I dunno, but this definitely isn't a Team Rivaliry.."
Callie, who was near Ridley, mouthed out "Help", as Ridley turned back to them. "But I have to kill these two first!"
Ika and Ink's eyes widened in shock. "W-Wait, he's gonna WHAT?!"
Marie cried out "DO SOMETHING!" to the group, and Samus responded charging up the Speed Booster and ramming into the Space Pirate Leader, tackling him away from the Pop Idols.
Ika and Ink rushed over to help the Squid Sisters up. "Who was that Inkling anyway? She seemed to got some personal business!" Callie questioned.
"I don't know..." Ink muttered, before grinning. "But she's so cool!"
Samus kept tackling Ridley, smashing him through some debris. Ridley grunted everytime Samus rammed him into an object, before he eventually had enough.
"Get...off...ME!" Ridley lifted his hand up and clawed Samus away, sending her careening off him.
Samus managed to stick the landing, and looked up just in time to see Ridley's tail about to skewer her. With nothing but quick reflexes, Samus jumped over the tail and shot Ridley at point-blank!
Ridley staggered, but flew up and breathed a powerful blast of plasm at Samus, who utilized Sensemove to immediately move out of the way of the attack, and fired a charged shot at Ridley.
Ridley, being well-adjusted with being in the air, easily swooped undenreathed the charge shot, and smashed his tail into Samus. Luckily, the Varia Suit was strong enough to withstand the force, merely causing her to skid back.
Samus entered Morph Ball mode, just narrowing avoiding Ridley going in for a kill. Ridley grunted, turning around just to get greeted by a Super Missile to the face.
As Ridley was busy recovering from the explosion, Samus charged up the Darkburst and fired, causing Ridley to be incased in Dark Matter before it hardened into a Brittle Shell, trapping the Space Pirate inside.
As Ridley can be heard yelling muffled protests, Samus prepared the Omega Cannon and began to charge it to maximum power. Unleashing it, it resulted in an explosion that caused nearby buildings to shake.
Now, most people would just leave right there and then. No one can usually survive an explosion that makes buildings shake from sheer force alone. But Samus knew better than most.
Ridley had come back from worse.
Her concern was right, as Ridley emerged from the dust, grabbing Samus and dragging her across the floor. Samus attempted to shoot at Ridley, but being dragged across the floor was making it hard to even lift her arm cannon upwards.
Ridley then smashed her into a wall, leaving her in a crater in the side of the building.Rising up, he would begin to charge up plasma breath in his mouth.
Samus struggled to regain vision, dizzy from being dragged across the ground and slammed into a wall...it seemed as if Samus had finally met her defeat at the hands of Ridley.
Until a glob of orange ink struck Ridley's eye. The Cunning God of a death yelled as he wiped at the ink, Samus falling out out the crater and iPhoto the floor.
"I got him!" Ika said as Ink rushed towards Samus, who's suit was sparking. He gave his hand to her,c which Samus slowly took.
"Hey, you okay? Your gear is all sparky." Ink questioned, Samus shakily standing up. "I...I'm okay...what are you doing here...?"
"Hey, we weren't about to leave ya! You helped us, and you're cool!" Ink grinned as Ridley finally wiped the ink off his eye.
"You little runts! Don't you know what I'll do to you for your stupid stunt?!" Ridley yelled, as Ika just chuckled. "I dunno, you'll yell again?"
With a deep scowl, Ridley flew straight at Ika, making it her let out a yell of shock as he swooped her up, and flew high into the air.
"Let's see you turn into nothing a splattered mess on the ground!" Ridley maliciously taunted, as he threw Ika all way down to the area below as she screamed.
"IKA, SHOOT INK AT THE GROUND! DO IT!" Ink yelled, which Inka responded with "WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M TRYING TO DO?!"
Shooting at the ground frantically, Ika splattered the ground with ink. Taking a skydiving position, the young Inkling slammed into her ink, looking as if apart of it.
Samus was horrified, believing Ridley took a life that she failed to save...at least, until Ika popped her head out, perfectly okay.
"Well, that was WAYYYY too close." Ika dryly remarked as Ridley swooped down, his grin swapping into one of frustration.
But before he could make a move, Samus struck him with the Shock Coil, causing him to shriek in pain, before he managed to fly away from the attack.
Ridley charged down, ready to skewer Samus, as Samus ran in fired a Sunburst shot when he was close, resulting in an explosion that knocked them both back.
But before anything else could be done, Ridley suddenly got a ringer from a implant, thanks to a certain fiend Samus also knew...
"Ridley! We found another universe with more powers to take. Leave this backwater universe!"
Ridley flinched. "But SAMUS is here. I need to take her out!"
"Leave her! She doesn't even know she's in a different universe. She'll be lost!"
With a grunt, Ridley begrudgingly followed the orders and flew off into space. Samus looked up, and clenched a fist.
"You aren't getting away that easily..." Samus seemingly inputted something into her arm cannon, and then came her Gunship.
Stepping in, Samus closed her eyes, as her ship prepared to bring her in, and left after Ridley.
Samus continued glaring as Ridley was flying, unaware she was behind him.
"Wherever you're going, I'm following. It doesn't matter if I'm wanted the Galatic Federation...you're going to stay dead."
What caught her offguard, was Ridley flying through a wormhole. Although entering wormholes were dangerous...if Ridley entered without fear, so can she.
She entered, and found herself in another part of space, and seeing another planet. Without question, Samus went there.
Upon landing, and stepping out, she ended up in what seemed to be a peaceful town, and took a deep breath...and then heard two certain kids.
"Whoaaaaa! Look at this place!"
"I dunno where we are, but it's way different!"
Samus turned around in shock. "How are you two here?!"
"Oh, we just snuck in by shooting some ink inside." Ika said with a cheeky grin, making Samus grumble in annoyance.
"Hey, look! It's that dragon guy!" Ink pointed at the sky, specifically at Ridley, who was slowly turning into a speck in the distance. Samus got ready to charge...but noticed something quickly coming after her.
Samus quickly leaped back, looking at whatever attacked her.
