Chapter 2: Yui Kodai
"ARGH!" The orange-haired girl grunted as a punch landed square on her stomach. The impact left her breathless, forcing her to kneel.
A hand presented itself in front of her, it belonged to a raven-haired girl who had spiky teeth. "Nice match."
Kendo accepted her help, standing up, "You got pretty strong Setsuna! Have you been working out?"
"How did you know? It's not showing, is it?"
She laughed, "There's nothing wrong with a little muscle. I'm sure someone out there's into that sort of thing."
The girl squirmed, her friend noticed this, giving a sigh.
"If you're so concerned with your body, I know a bunch of guys who'd tell you otherwise." Kendo said, jabbing a finger at the 1-A dorms.
As soon as she did that, the dorm's main door opened, revealing a group of students dressed in workout clothes.
"...I'm just saying bro. Tokage's got like, the BEST bod in 1-B."
"I'd have to disagree."
"I don't think it's right to talk about—"
The boys stopped, the topic of their conversation standing in front of them with a displeased face.
"H-hey Tokage! Eneruya, Todoroki and I were just going for a jog!" The crimson-haired boy said, his face clearly showing he was embarrassed.
Kendo scoffed, "Uh-huh. Go on."
They walked past them, Eneruya throwing them an apologetic look as they picked up the pace.
"Sorry. Kirishima tends to speak without thinking much!"
Kendo was about to wave it off, but Tokage stepped in front of her.
"That's alright. I've always wanted to know what guys think of me." She stepped closer to him, "What about you, Ki-kun?"
He was about to respond, but a hand clamped over his mouth, it was Todoroki's.
"We've got to get going Tokage. It is getting quite dark."
They hurried off, Kirishima slapping Akio's back, loud laughter fading.
"She couldn't make it any more obvious man! She's into you!" He said, eliciting a groan from Eneruya.
"That's just her way of teasing, she does it all the time."
Shoto gave a small chuckle, "I've never seen a girl commit to that amount of forceful teasing."
"You too Todoroki?!" Akio gave a loud sigh, trying to jog faster in an attempt to escape, but he only drove the boys to speed up alongside him.
"If you don't want her, give me her number bro." He flexed a muscle, "Ladies love this."
"Ashido would say otherwise." Akio said.
Kirishima almost tripped in surprise, "Low blow bro."
The bright-eyed boy shrugged, his mind set on jogging.

After a couple minutes, they reached the other side of the large campus, stopping to take a breath.
Todoroki used his quirk to chill the water bottles they brang, frost climbing quickly up them.
The two gave their thanks, quickly downing their bottles' contents.
"So." Kirishima started, "What are your guys' thoughts on 1-B?"
The other two stared at him with deadpan expressions.
He held his arms in defense, "Just asking, seems like a bunch of em' started rumors around our class." He grinned, "So naturally, Mina did some research as revenge."
Todoroki shook his head, "Heroes aren't supposed to act like that—"
Akio dismissed him, "What was that about 1-B?"
"That Tokage chick, apparently she's super loaded." He said, making a weird gesture.
"Her parents own a quirk research organization, so naturally she received the highest possible education from them." Todoroki continued.
Akio chuckled, "I thought you didn't like rumors."
"Never said that."
The group talked for a bit more, the night settling onto the campus, illuminated by the streetlights.
They talked about a variety of topics, eventually landing on relationships.
"You guys ever date someone?" Akio asked, his expression hidden by the dark.
The other two must've been puzzled, as it took a bit before they responded.
"Didn't expect you of all people to be so interested." Kirishima retorted.
"I agree." Todoroki said.
Akio laughed, "It's just that something happened recently that has me thinking..." He put his hand on his chin, "...What would you guys do if your childhood crush appeared in front of you after 10 years?"
Laughter came from Kirishima, "OH MAN. So that's why you've been so preoccupied lately!"
"So who's the girl?" Todoroki asked.
"She's in class 1-B, Yui Kodai."
...
Yui sneezed, allergies are coming back...
"Make sure to get some sleep Yui, don't catch a cold now." Kendo instructed, patting her on the shoulder as she headed back to her room.
Yui nodded, "Thank you."
She sat on the couch with her phone in hand, staring at her home screen. She couldn't keep her eyes off of the boy in the screen, blushing every time she remembered the reason why.
"Is that Ki-kun?" A voice asked behind her.
Yui whipped her head around to see a bob-cut Komori peeking over her shoulder.
She groaned, Komori chuckling in response.
"Rumors spread you know. Mina from Class 1-A has the best gossip."
Yui sunk into the couch, her phone still in hand.
"...can you help me?" She asked, startling the brown-haired girl.
"With what?" Komori decided to sit on the sofa next to her.
"I want... love advice." Yui said, her stoic expression still on her face.
Komori laughed, "So it's love-sickness?" She put a hand over her head, "Whew! I thought you were on your period or something!"
A glare from Kodai stopped her loudness.
"I'm serious."
Noticing her words, Kinoko sat up, "I see. Who's the boy?"
"Akio Eneruya."
...
"It started when we were in kindergarten, I'd bumped into her..."
Flashback to a young Akio and Yui
"Hi! Sorry bout' that! My name is Eneruya!" The boy held out his hand, which the girl took.
A young Kodai stared back into his eyes, they seemed odd to her.
"Your eyes..." she pointed at his pupils, "They're gross."
The boy grinned, "Yeah, it's cuz of my quirk! I got it a month ago, so I'm still gettin' used to it. What's yours?"
The pair's conversation lasted until the end of their break time, a bell signaling that they should return to their classrooms.
For half of the school year, they met during lunch and sat on the grass talking about whatever was on their minds.
"I wanna be a cool hero like All Might!" Akio said enthusiastically.
Yui hummed, "What about Endeavor? Your quirk is a lot like his."
He waved her off, "That's what they all say, but All Might is super cool! What about you Yu-chan?"
She didn't say anything for a couple minutes, which was normal, since it meant that she was thinking pretty hard most of the time.
"I don't know..." She said, which quickly caught the boy's attention.
"Well, you can be my sidekick!" He sat up, brushing the grass off of his clothes, "We'd make a great team!" He grabbed her hand, "Let's go, partner!"
Although Akio hadn't known it at the time, Yui was the happiest she'd been in a while, with her family's constant moving, it was hard for her to make friends.
She'd finally found someone to talk to.
"By the way..." He continued with his back turned, "My family is moving."
WHACK!
A red slap mark imprinted onto Akio's cheek, leaving him flabbergasted.
"OW! Yui! What are yo—"
She pushed him onto the grass, causing him to land on his bottom.
Akio looked up to see tears in her eyes.
"Again... why..." Yui spat out, a frustrated expression on her face, "I thought I'd actually keep a friend this time..." She kicked the ground, her sandals getting covered in dust, "But you're all the same!"
Akio sat there silently, before getting up without facing her.
"I didn't want to tell you before, " He dusted his shorts off, "Because I knew you'd react like this."
"Just go..." Yui coldly said, "Leave me like the rest."
For the two of them, that'd be the last time they would see each other for a while.
Back in the Present
Yui sighed, seeing the frown on Komori's face.
"Well?" She asked.
"Your life sounds like a Drama." The bob-cut girl said, shaking her head, "Why not talk to him?"
"I don't know how." Yui replied.
Komori grasped her hands, "Listen to me, he probably still likes you!" She gestured to the rooms, "He rejected Tokage's offers, so that's probably why!"
...
"Nah bro." Akio replied, shaking his head.
"If she liked me, she'd have shown it by now."
Todoroki seemed deep in thought, "Do you want to get intimate with her?"
Akio's eyes narrowed, "...what do you mean?"
"Sex."
They heard a loud spurt of water come from the red-haired boy.
"Bahaha!" Kirishima laughed, "Good one Shoto, next you'll give him some tips on how to do it!"
Akio actually seemed convinced.
"I do."
...
"Here's a tip Yui, boys like sexy bodies. They're beasts when it comes to 'it'". Kinoko said, matter-of-factly.
A blush creeped its way into the girl's face, which Kinoko noticed.
"You said you wanted some help right?"
She nodded.
"Well thank the lord that I'm here." Kinoko said with a mischievous smile.
"I'll make you irresistible."
