Hello everyone! DWG here and you're probably wondering why I'm updating this so quickly...well...I plan on having this story get some more meat, maybe until the plot starts, I dunno. But one thing for sure is, I'll be updating this story until I get a straight. So, maybe until chapter 10-12...maybe. But the thing is, I've been getting some inspirations and some itchy nuisances to write for this particular story...
And also...I have something to confess...
I...I have failed...I TRIED to watch the Kuroinu, I felt ashamed...to think that I, a vanilla boi was corrupted...I...I failed, for I have gained an erection when the deed was being done...I have been corrupted by the dark side.
PURIFY ME BOIS!
...
Now that that's out, time for the reviews!
Perseus12- I see that you've been reading into the history of those kings. Great kings they are.
And Adonis will get to pick his wife (WIVES), but that will happen in the later chapters. It has barely been a week since Inamorta was destroyed/disappeared, along with some graves of the dead, of course, he'll miss them, especially now that he has no way to physically talk to them. Alicia being able to relate to Adonis is actually a key factor now that I think about it, so happy accident?
Your suggestion for familiars is noted and will be put on mind, maybe in the future.
Celestine and Olga are GUARANTEED in the harem, don't you worry about that. And to be honest, I'm torn with the decision of Claudia, should she stay with her husband? Or should I add her to the harem? I'll...think about it. And I INTEND to punish all and every single one of rapist shits, you'll love the punishments for them...in fact, I think all of you guys will like it.
godisme- If I think about giving the Giants an elite, then I'll have to consider the expenses for such unit. The resources needed to give them the equipment is pretty high. So, for now, you'll have to be content with the CURRENT elite troops. And your other fanfic Killing Kuroinu? I'll have to finish the first part first, I like doing things in order, you see. I'll also think of some OCs that could fit villains, but for now, nothing comes to mind. And don't worry, I'll have Adonis go and finish some political and internal affairs. Also, it's Murasame, not Muramase! Now about Murasame...Akame doesn't have it. At best, she has a custom-made katana, but maybe I'll give it to her in the future.
mpowers045- Hmm...Hmm...Naruhodo, naruhodo~!
look2019- Yep.
Guest2- HERE IT IS!
And that is all! Two pretty long reviews and three short ones.
And now!
Go and read!
I don't own anything except some stuff
Chapter 8- Meeting the Shields, part I
Adonis took a sip of his tea while keeping his eyes on Celestine's own. Which was hard, considering the fact that not only is she beautiful, but she also has a body that many men will drool for.
And the fact remains that, while still a gentleman, Adonis is still a man. So, its basically pretty hard for him to keep his eyes away from her large jiggling orbs.
"As Claudia has told me, you wish for me to grant you land for your people?"
Her voice, while soft and sweet, sent a shiver down to Adonis's spine. He didn't show it, but he is getting pretty nervous.
Adonis stiffly nodded as he silently bit his cheek.
'Damn it! You're a KING! Play the part!'
"Yes, in exchange, we are prepared to lend any support to your alliance. My people are well prepared when it comes to war."
That got a reaction from the elf. Her reaction was that of relief and at the same time...worry? Why is she worried?
"I see...is your people..." She stopped as she glanced at Kurome. Said girl may look like she's only enjoying herself with the tea and snacks, but she was watching her very closely. And unlike regular underaged girls that only worry for simple things like boys or their family, she has the eyes of a warrior.
She bit her lip in worry as she sighed.
'To think that I'd see another day where I get to look at the eyes of someone like her. I just hope I'm doing the right thing.'
"Are my people what?" She blinked as she noticed Adonis staring at her, waiting for her to finish with narrowed eyes. Faking a cough, she smiled as she kept her eyes closed in a calm and relaxing manner. "I apologize, but I was asking if your people are ready for our enemies." She said as she slowly opened her eyes, watching his reaction.
Chuckling, Adonis did an eye smile as he sat straight.
"Of course, my people have adapted to war. Although, I cannot say the same for the new recruits." He frowned as he leaned on his right hand. "I'd rather they train for months or even years before sending them to a battle where they may die. That, and it will be hard to tell their family of their fate when it does happen." He finished with a sorrowful tone as he took his cup of tea and drank from it.
'I see, it is just as Claudia has told me, Adonis is someone who considers the benefits for his people, whether or not they are from the military or simple farmers. Interesting.'
"True, even I would not send newly trained knights to fight the monsters of the north. But sometimes, we have no choice." Adonis merely nodded as he closed his eyes, remembering the fate of those many who he fought with.
While the Remnants of Chaos are few, they are still formidable and powerful that even his most elite warriors will have a hard time fighting them.
"But that is beside the point, we are here to ask land for my Empire, for my people. I am willing to even accept lands stricken with poverty." Celestine frowned as she looked at Adonis in worry. "Are you sure about that? I do not want to make your people suffer." Adonis looked down for a moment before looking at her with a smile. "I have faced many problems when I was crowned as king, I am sure we can manage. And I am sure my people will understand."
She shook her head as she kept her eyes on Adonis with a smile.
"No, giving you poor lands will make me look like I am looking down at you. And I am not so greedy and merciless as to forbid your people to take some. We may be at war with the north but that does not mean we have no land available." Adonis's eyes widened, full of hope. Celestine can only chuckle softly as she gave him a kind smile. "You may make yourself at home here in Eostia. I, along with many, welcome you and your people." Adonis felt his heart leap in joy as Akame can only smile softly as she kept an eye on her brother shaking with excitement. Kurome only continued munching on the snacks, but the two siblings already know that she is happy with the outcome.
"To be honest, I thought that we would be discussing a lot more about this than, you know?" Adonis raised his hands as he looked around, motioning for what is currently happening. Celestine held a laugh as she nodded.
"Yes, but I prefer not beating around the bush, your people need help, and I am willing to help you and your people. Most would see this as a way to secure our alliance with your people. But personally, I would rather say that I help than not do anything or worse, reject you of what you desperately need." Adonis smiled as he closed his eyes and drank the rest of his tea. Akame nodded silently as she took note of Alicia's smile.
Celestine raised a hand as a magic circle appeared and out of it is a scroll, a quill, and a small jar of ink. She grabbed the scroll and unrolled it, she then gently settled the ink and the quill on top of the table. Adonis watched, waited, as Celestine gracefully gave him the jar of ink with the quill on top of it.
He smiled as he grabbed the jar, their fingers briefly grazing. Dabbling the quill into the ink, he lifted it, allowing a single drop to fall off the point of the quill. Looking at the scroll, he raised his brows as he found it...empty...
Seeing this, Celestine smiled as she cleared her throat.
"By my right as the Goddess incarnate, I, Celestine Lucullus, hereby declare to give King Adonis of the Order Empire a safe haven, a land to call home." As soon as Celestine finished, the top of the scroll glowed briefly, before what she said earlier was embedded into it, glowing white once every few seconds. She smiled as she gently swiped her hands across the words.
The glowing stopped, and in its place is gold writings.
Adonis looed at Celestine for a moment, before she held out her hand and motioned to the scroll. Adonis nodded dumbly, before swallowing his spit.
"I-In exchange," As soon as he said that, below the part where Celestine's words were embedded in, it started to glow, like before. Getting the idea, Adonis nodded as he confidently voiced his words.
"We of the Order Empire will provide help whether it be for war or trade, we will answer to their call when we are needed. When battle roars, when war beckons; our swords will remain sharp, our spears remain stalwart, and our will, unbreakable." Stopping for a while as the glowing began to intensify, he nodded to himself once more as he took a light breath.
Celestine watched in fascination while both Alicia and Claudia can only listen and watch Adonis as his sisters smile at their brother.
"Let this day be remembered when both the Order Empire and the Seven Shield Alliance be known as allies, this debt will forever be remembered by our people. And by our God, we will repay it."
As soon as he finished he looked at Celestine, a silent conversation between them was said as she smiled, and with another gentle swipe of her hands, the words stopped glowing, but instead of its counterpart, it was black instead.
And another glow appeared, this time at the bottom left and right of the scroll.
Knowing what to do, Adonis watched as the glowing ceased, and in its place are two lines. Writing his name on one line, he watched the ink let off a few sparks of light before stopping. Giving Celestine the quill, he watched as she wrote her name.
After that, another magic circle appeared beside the table. This time, a stamp appeared. Celestine grabbed it and immediately put a seal between their names.
She then nodded towards Claudia, which in turn made her smile as she gently took the scroll and rolled it.
"I will inform my people about what has happened today. It will be a day celebrated with our hospitality two days from now." Immediately after saying that, Celestine took notice of the sharp glistening eyes of two certain princesses.
Adonis chuckled nervously as he can already imagine what will happen.
'I just hope both Akame and Kurome won't starve our new allies.'
Alicia smiled while Claudia chuckled weakly, catching the confused attention of her liege.
She turned her attention to Adonis as she stood up and held out her hand. Adonis smiled as he stood up, went beside her.
Which in turn caused a few looks of confusion.
Immediately, he kneeled on one knee and quickly but gently grabbed Celestine's hand. Her eyes widened as Adonis closed his eyes and gave a gentle kiss on top of her hand. Feeling her cheeks heat up as Adonis opened his eyes and looked at her with a smile.
Claudia's eyes widened in surprise and interest, while Alicia was feeling a small sting inside her chest.
"Kissing one's hand is the highest form of thanks of our people. That, and respect." Adonis spoke as he rose up. Celestine blinked as she held a cheek and forced down her blush.
"Oh? Is that so? You should have told me, you didn't need to do that!" She laughed nervously.
"No, as King it is only proper that I do so. Not doing it will cause misfortune to befall on my family."
"Brother, you take mother's words too seriously."
"Ah..." Adonis gulped as he stiffly turned towards Kurome. Akame was merely nodding with confirmation as she downed the rest of her tea. "W-What's wrong with that? Mother has always taught me to be thankful." Celestine hummed in interest as she watched the two siblings. Meanwhile, Alicia and Claudia can only sigh with a smile as they can already guess what's going to happen.
Kurome merely pointed a finger in retaliation and...
"Mama's boy."
"Wha-?!" Adonis took a few steps back, clutching his chest as if he was pierced by an arrow.
"W-Wh-What do you mean, Kurome?! I'm only taking mother's advice!" He retorted as he felt a deep blush cover his cheeks.
And yet...
"Mama's boy."
"Gafuh!"
Adonis fell on both knees. 'Now that it comes to this, help me my sister!' He thought dramatically as he looked at Akame, pleading for help.
However, she merely gave him a small smile as she proceeded to take a sip from her cup of tea.
'Traitor! There's not even a single drop of tea inside!' He wailed to himself as he felt comical tears running down his cheeks.
Watching the three siblings interact, Celestine turned Claudia, who is watching in amusement.
Already guessing what's on her mind, Claudia smiled as she shook her head. "I believe this is normal for them." She whispered to her as she continued watching.
5 minutes later
Adonis did a fake cough as he smiled towards the three Shield Princesses. Celestine giggled as Adonis looked different to the Adonis from five minutes ago.
"The party will start on the morrow. You are free to stay inside my home. I will have the guest rooms prepared by my handmaids. Rest assured, your guards will have their own as well." Adonis blinked for a few seconds until he smiled as he nodded in thanks.
"You have my thanks, I will tell them of your generosity."
"You are free to explore around Ken, come back before nightfall. Wouldn't want to miss your first meal here in Eostia now would you?" She said humorously, causing Adonis to smile with a nod.
"Brother..."
Turning to his sister, he watched as a small pout emerges from Kurome as she held out a bag while waving it softly. A bag that seems to be empty with how it limps around with every wave.
Despite her teasing him earlier, he couldn't help but simply adore and spoil his sister.
Giving her a headpat, he smiled as he turned towards Celestine.
"Is there someplace where I can buy sweets?" Celestine blinked as she turned to Adonis, then to Kurome. Said girl is still waving the empty bag of confectionary goods. She gave a gentle smile as she clapped her hands twice.
Immediately, a handmaid approached her.
"Can you bake some cookies? The poor girl over there seems hungry." The handmaid held a hand over her chest and bowed.
"Yes, your holiness."
Adonis blinked as Celestine waved her hand over to Kurome.
Seeing this, Kurome stopped waving her empty bag of sweets and turned her full attention to Celestine. "You can stay here, I will have my servants bake some cookies for you." Kurome's eyes gave off a shine as Akame looked at her brother with pleading eyes.
Chuckling, Adonis ruffled Akame's hair as he nodded to her.
"You have my thanks once again. I leave my sisters to you." Celestine merely shook it off with a wave of her hand and gave Adonis a nod in return.
"Both of you behave, okay?"
Kurome lightly glared at her brother with a pout.
"We're not children anymore, brother."
Chuckling with a lighthearted grin, Adonis shook his head.
"But you're still my little sisters."
"You're right, but..."
He smiled as he turned around and began walking.
"I'll be back before night comes."
"Brother..."
Grinning to himself, Adonis turned to Akame.
"Don't worry, I'm well prepared."
Then he resumed walking.
Akame and Kurome can only look at him in worry, while Celestine, Claudia, and Alicia watched in interest.
10 minutes later
After giving the news to his bodyguards and escaping their watch via wearing a worn cloak, Adonis looked around in wonder as he wandered around the streets of Ken.
Everywhere, there are vendors selling their wares, children playing, and the occasional guards patrolling. All in all, very peaceful and-
BLAM!
Lively.
A large man slid to a halt on the pavement. Seeing this, Adonis quickly made his way towards the man. Once he got closer, he took notice of the building in front of him. Or to be more precise, the sign of the building just above the entrance.
"The Drunk Dwarf, so a pub..." A sweatdrop made its way to the side of Adonis as the large man groaned in pain. "Why am I not surprised?" He muttered to himself as he made his way towards the door.
"This damn shrimp!"
"Get her!"
"You ai-GAAAAH!"
His eyes widened as he quickly turned to his side, dodging a man.
"That damn shrimp..." The large man from before groaned as he attempted to get back up. Only to be greeted by a panicked face of another man.
"Wha-!"
CRASH!
Adonis winced as he silently apologized to both men.
"Wahahahaha! Is that all ya got?!" A girl's voice taunted the men from inside. Sighing to himself, Adonis entered the tavern.
Once he got inside, his eyes widened in shock as a little girl was laughing quite loudly, a tankard full of beer in hand and a hand on her hips. She is currently sporting a wide grin as all around her are a bunch of men groaning in pain, presumably from her.
But that's not what caught his attention.
What caught his attention the most is...
'WHAT IS SHE WEARING?!'
Unlike the three Shield Princesses he met earlier, this one looked a little bit more okay...a little...but still, pretty revealing.
A cape reaching to her knees, furred leather covering her top and her bottom like a bikini, stockings reaching up to her thighs, a green hat on top of her curly orange hair, and her pink eyes just screams of mischief.
(AN: I used Ruu-Ruu's model from Kuroinu Rebellion, kudos to the developer!)
Holding a hand up to his face in exasperation, Adonis gritted his teeth.
'The armors of this land are bizarre, to say the least, but I do not expect that even a child wears such clothing!'
"That all you got? Boring."
The girl said, disappointed as she drank the tankard in one go.
Seeing this, Adonis's eyes twitched.
'AND SHE DRINKS?!'
"Paha! Old Bugman really outdid himself! This stuff is strong enough to knock out several men at once!" She laughed as she made her way towards an empty table. It's like she didn't knock out a lot of men in a brawl.
"Barkeep! Give me more!"
The barkeep was a wide burly old man, a thick beard reaching to his stomach. He sighed as he let go of the cloth used to keep his bar clean.
"Ruu-Ruu, ya can't just keep on trashing my place whenever you visit. Sides, aren't you suppose to be on official business here?"
The girl, now named Ruu-Ruu, just waved it off without a concern.
"I can go at anytime later, now get me some more Bugman's!" She roared...well squeaked as she raised her hands and began to beat the table with it.
Adonis's eyes widened as the table was starting to crack with each beat.
"I only have one barrel left. But you better pay up first."
"Eh? But didn't I pay earlier?" She pouted as the barkeep snorted. He pointed to the various broken tables and chairs. "Yeah, but if ya look around ya, then ya could see why." Ruu-Ruu blinked as she looked around. She chuckled nervously as she scratched the back of her head.
"Sorry?"
"Hmph! The money you paid earlier was for the ones you drank and for the damages! Sorry ain't cutting it!"
"Eh? What should I do...?" She wondered aloud as she looked around, her eyes stopping at Adonis.
She grinned as she got up and ran over to him.
His eyes widened as she practically grabbed one of his arms and dragged him to the bar. Trying to stop himself from being dragged he gritted his teeth in alarm as he noticed one thing.
'She's strong!'
For someone of her size, she was dragging Adonis quite easily. In fact, it was rather embarrassing that he was being dragged by a child. If Kurome or worse, Jack was seeing this, then he would not hear the end of it.
The barkeep raised his brows as he watched Adonis trying to pry himself off of Ruu-Ruu.
"He'll pay!"
"What?!"
The barkeep grunted in confirmation as he went to one barrel and went to work. Ruu-Ruu was hopped on a stool on the bar, her legs swinging playfully as she hummed with a wide grin. Turning towards him, Ruu-Ruu patted on the stool just beside her.
"What are you waiting for? Take a seat."
Having no choice, Adonis nodded silently as he took a seat and took out a small sack full of gold coins. He sighed as he waited for the barkeep to return.
Ruu-Ruu was still humming to herself as she waited.
After a while, he returned with a tray full of tankards, each full of beer.
Ruu-Ruu cheered as the barkeep looked at Adonis. He held out a hand as he sighed to himself. "Ten gold coins." Adonis nodded as he took the exact amount out of his sack.
Handing them over to the barkeep, he rose a brow as he took a closer look at the gold coins for a few moments before shrugging.
"Here!"
Adonis blinked as Ruu-Ruu offered him a tankard full of foaming beer.
"I'd feel bad if I drank these all to myself. This is your money after all." Adonis got a sweatdrop as he nodded and took the tankard.
"Well I wou-wait, you're still a child! Why is this establishment allowing you to drink?!" As soon as he said that, the barkeep was staring at him with wide eyes full of shock, while Ruu-Ruu was glaring at him rather cutely.
"Hoho? So, you think that I'm still a child? I'll have you know that I am older than you!" Adonis gained a tick mark as he stood up and slammed his arm against the bar.
"Huh?! Do not joke around with me! It is clearly obvious that you are still a child!"
"Ngh! Do I have to repeat myself?! I'm older than you!"
"Yeah right!"
"You wanna go?!"
"What? I will not go so low as to hit a child!"
"What was that?!"
"Stop both of ya!"
Adonis and Ruu-Ruu slowly relented as they turned to the barkeep.
Sighing to himself, the barkeep turned to Adonis.
"Sir, is this the first time that you've seen a Dwarf?" Adonis blinked a couple of times in confusion. "Dwarf?" He repeated as the barkeep nodded.
"Dwarves age very differently from humans, they live longer. The only exceptions are elves." Adonis blinked a few times, dumbfounded. "And since Ruu-Ruu here is a Dwarf, she is older than you. Despite her looking like a damn brat."
Ruu-Ruu nodded for a few moments before suddenly slamming her tiny hands onto the bar. Her expression was that of childlike rage. Her eyes went sharp and white, while her teeth somehow turned into a shark's.
"What was that?! Don't call me a brat!"
The barkeep gave her a sharp glare as he and Ruu-Ruu began a rather intense staring contest. "Then stop acting like one! Yer ruining my business!"
"I'm not acting like one! I'm a fully-grown woman!"
Feeling something banging right into his head, Adonis sighed as he took a look at the tankard of beer in his hand. His own reflection staring right at him as the golden liquid swished around the tankard. 'Well, what the hell. A little drink won't make me late for dinner...and I need something to distract me for a bit.' He thought to himself as he drank the whole tankard in one go.
Feeling the burning liquid refresh his body, he sighed as he slammed the tankard down onto the bar. He managed to stop himself from letting out a large burp.
He drank quite a lot ever since he came of age and he is quite a strong drinker, but the thing is...
"Strong..."
A brew made by Dwarves is exactly that; stronger than average.
Both Ruu-Ruu and the barkeep stopped and blinked as they turned towards Adonis. His cheeks flushed red, his head wobbling ever so slightly, and the occasional hiccup meant one thing.
He's drunk.
"Wha-?! Ruu-Ruu did he just gulp it all down in one go?! Does he know how strong Bugman's brew is?"
"Yeah...maybe? He's drunk."
"More~!" Adonis slurred as he stared right at the tankards on the tray.
"Humans can only handle one and he's still going for more?" A realization came over the barkeep as he took a few steps back. Pointing the finger at Adonis, he looked at Ruu-Ruu in alarm. "Is he related to Maia?!"
"Hm?" Ruu-Ruu adopted a thinking pose as she let go of her half-empty tankard. Shrugging her shoulders, she drank the rest of the beer.
"Don't know."
Glancing at Adonis taking two tankards and slamming them together, she watched in interest and mischief as he drank both tankards in one go. Not caring of the golden liquid swimming down from his mouth to his chin.
She grinned as she laughed.
"But what I do know is that I just found another drinking buddy!" She cheered as Adonis raised both hands in the air.
"MORE!"
"Ya heard the man! Give us the entire barrel!"
The barkeep just stared at the two, who are now doing a drinking contest, and sighed as he went back to work.
SLAM!
"Gimme some Bugman's!"
He can only sigh as another voice echoed throughout his tavern, one that he knows all too well.
"Oh, Maia!"
Despite the damages done, he is still working.
Life ain't easy for a Dwarf, especially in The Drunk Dwarf.
White Citadel, night time
Akame looked outside the window as she bit her lip in worry. Kurome was just as worried.
Celestine turned her attention to the two sisters and smiled as she looked outside the window as well. It has been many hours since Adonis left, and the two sisters are anxious about their brother coming back.
She can only wonder what Adonis got himself into. He might be King, but Celestine can sense the wonder and excitement the moment he was leaving.
'He must have lost track of time, he is still young after all.' She thought to herself as she looked at the other occupant in the room.
Dressed in her usual shrine maiden outfit, Kaguya sat calmly to her side, calmly drinking her tea.
(AN: For Kaguya, I referenced it from LionheartXIII's Kaguya 2.0 from DeviantArt, as a clear reminder of my failure to be able to explain clothes properly. Kudos to the guy though!)
"Celestine-Sama, are you sure that Adonis-Sama will arrive? He seems to be quite late." Kaguya said as she calmly put down her cup. Her brown eyes calmly observing Akame.
"Brother told us that he'd be back before night comes. Something must have happened." Kurome nibbled on some cookies, but the tone of her voice just shows how much she's worried about her brother. Akame nodded as she took a seat just beside Kurome. "If he won't show up for the next five minutes, then I'm going to find him." She said monotonously as she cutely munched on some of the cookies.
Celestine just got a sweatdrop as she nervously tried to calm them down.
'With how much they both ate, I am quite surprised that they can still eat! Oh, Adonis, when will you come back?' She can only imagine what will happen to her private pantry after a full day of being alone with Akame and Kurome.
'I will have to make sure there is plenty of food for the party. Who knows what will happen when there is not enough food?' She thought to herself, already making plans to have as much food sent to her pantry in the coming days.
"He's here."
Everyone blinked as they all turned to Kurome. She was looking down at her plate of treats, deep in focus. Closing her eyes, Kurome remained silent for a few moments as she focused on her hearing.
"He's at the front door...with two people..."
She opened her eyes, stood up and walked towards the door. Akame followed suit, walking just beside her.
Both Celestine and Kaguya calmly did the same.
But what they found was quite...amusing to say the least.
"Hey! Where can we dump him?"
"Anywhere but here. I have mad respect to him, I ain't leaving a good drinking buddy out on the streets or on the floor...kind of a shame he passed out too soon."
"Ack! Maia did you really plan on sleeping with him?!"
"Why not? He's cute and can keep up with me."
"Oh my." Celestine blushed as Maia and, funny enough, Ruu-Ruu dragged a sleeping Adonis up to the stairs.
"It seems that he is drunk." Kaguya calmly stated, taking notice of not only Adonis but also Maia and Ruu-Ruu, who was also sporting a mean flush on their faces. It can only mean one thing.
They were drinking.
"Brother!" Both Akame and Kurome called out in worry as they rushed to him.
Seeing this, Maia did a lazy wave as she stood straight.
"Don't worry, he's just drunk. He won't be happy in the morning though..." She chuckled as she allowed Akame to take a closer look at him. Recoiling for a slight second as a heavy breath came out of Adonis's lips.
"Why?" Ruu-Ruu asked as she moved to the side. Maia just snorted as she held out a laugh. "Why? You and I just did a contest against this guy to see who would drink the most. That and most of the stuff was old Bugman's brew."
Ruu-Ruu hummed for a few seconds before nodding in realization.
"Oh yeah! Most humans can't handle old Bugman's in one go!"
Needless to say, both Maia and Ruu-Ruu had a lot of fun.
And the King is pissed out drunk.
"This is quite a problem." Kaguya stated as she went down the stairs, making sure to keep an eye on the three siblings.
"Oh, Kaguya! How're things?"
"Wait, is something wrong?"
"Yes, the person who is currently drunk is the King of the Order Empire, Adonis-Sama. The one who we are supposed to meet today." Hearing this, both Ruu-Ruu and Maia blinked a couple of times before their jaws dropped.
Realizing something, Ruu-Ruu paled as she shakily turned her attention towards Adonis. Celestine noticed this and got suspicious.
"Ruu-Ruu, Maia..."
"Eep!"
Both of them jumped a bit as they turned to Celestine, who was giving off an overly sweet and scary smile. "How did Adonis end up like this?" She questioned them as a somewhat dark aura came off from her.
Ironic since she is a Goddess.
Quickly turning and pointing a finger at Ruu-Ruu, Maia panickily exclaimed.
"It was Ruu-Ruu!"
"What?!"
"He was already drunk when I met him!"
"Traitor!"
"Ruu-Ruu..."
She felt a shiver on her spine. Like a snake slithering around her back. And that snake is looking mighty pissed off.
"What did you do?" Celestine can already guess that it was somehow Ruu-Ruu's fault.
There are only two out of seven Shield Princesses that are rather carefree. Ruu-Ruu and Maia. With Ruu-Ruu and her childish attitude, it is not much of a surprise if something happened and she was coincidentally in the area.
Celestine would usually not mind Ruu-Ruu's antics, seeing them as mostly harmless or salvageable. But this time? No, excuses. Especially now that she could potentially have damaged their relation. She means well, but there are limits to everything.
'I only hope she didn't do anything wrong against Adonis.' Celestine thought worriedly as she can only imagine what the consequences will be. If Ruu-Ruu did anything to disrespect Adonis, then the least she could do is offer some sort of compensation, a way to say sorry.
Unfortunately, she is rather soft when it comes to her vassals. So, the punishment would have to be decided by Claudia, or by vote if it is necessary.
Playing with her index fingers out of nervousness, Ruu-Ruu gave a shaky grin as she turned her eyes towards Celestine.
"Ummm...I had him pay my drinks for me..." She confessed as she chuckled nervously. Celestine's eyes twitched as she sighed rather heavily. Turning her attention towards Akame, she gave him an apologetic look.
Akame nodded as she and Kurome dragged him up, walking towards the guest rooms.
"It's okay."
Everyone blinked as Akame turned to them with a smile.
"Brother wouldn't be angry at you for something so small like this."
"Eh?"
This time Kurome answered.
"Brother getting drunk is pretty normal for us."
Akame nodded.
"Yeah, brother needed something to occupy his mind aside from being a King for his people, at least for the day."
"So, despite him being back drunk, at least he's happy."
Maia snorted silently as she crossed her arms under her bust.
"He won't be when he wakes up."
Both sisters only giggled as they continued their walking.
AAAAND CUT! Thanks for reading! The whole month of no school is working wonders on my schedule. I ain't happy that I have to go in quarantine with my family just so we can be safe from the virus, but at least I have shit to do. Which means no school work...for now...
Anyway, I want to point out a few things.
Kaguya and her people are the only ones who will be using Japanese related words for obvious reasons.
Ruu-Ruu and her people are Dwarves. So, it pretty much means I won't be following everything on paper.
There is a reference in this chapter. Find it if you can! For the Empire...oh wait, wrong faction...
That is all, I'll be working on the next chapter in a few days. Might take a few weeks...or a month for me to finish.
Also, I just remembered about the Albowtross, I'll explain it in the future chapters. Or better yet, I'll have Adonis explain it in the future. Might as well leave the suspense in the air.
If any of you have any questions, leave a review or PM me. Whichever you prefer.
So, for now!
Ciao! Peace!
