Hello everyone! DWG here to give you another chapter! Last chapter, Adonis got drunk by some good old Bugman's beer!
And to those that managed to get the Warhammer reference, then shout out to you below this sentence!
godisme and Kingbean2!
Now that that's done with, let's check the reviews!
UndeadLord22- Well, it was mentioned in the last chapter that Adonis was taught by his mother, and he is quite a gentleman at heart.
Perseus12- Well, to be honest, I just decided to give Celestine a bit of a tweak on her personality. Because let's be honest, we only have a glimpse of what Celestine's personality is when it was her time. And we all know how it went after that. And yeah, now that you mention it, that moment did resemble with Miya in Sekirei.
You jumped into the conclusion too early. Celestine didn't give Adonis a barren wasteland. She's too kind and generous for that.
Adonis being a strong drinker is actually a trait he got from his parents. It only built up when he got more into it.
Hmmm...now there's an idea for a certain redhead!
Kingbean2- Good job spotting the reference. And thanks!
godisme- Trust me, just getting into the first episode was enough for me to call for an endless volley of Hellstorm Rockets.
Great, now you're making me want to skip the first part! Just kidding.
In Warhammer, I have my favorite races in rank based on how they act. For example, I like the Greenskins just because of how FUN they are. Like, have you seen a bunch of Gobbos flying through the air as some sort of artillery projectile? Let me tell you majestic. For the Empire, they're my favorite because of their artillery and the types of lore of magics. And if you managed to recruit 4 or even 5 Hellstorm Rocket Batteries and let hell loose? GLORIOUS!
And in the lore, it is true that Bugman's beer packs a serious punch.
WarWithoutEnd- Great, thanks for reminding me of the death of one of my favorite characters...hmm...yes, now that I think about it...
DISRESPECT- Don't worry, Adonis will be having some special somethings, just not gonna show it for now...or maybe you could get a clue form it in this chapter, I dunno...hehehehe...
Guest- Thankfully, I quickly switched what I was watching, so no guilty fapping! And here's the chapter!
That is all for the reviews!
But a little help here would be nice. See, I've been playing Kuroinu Rebellion for a while...and I just CAN'T seem to find Ruu-Ruu. I have a clue, but I don't know shit on how to trigger it. Been on this for weeks now, and still can't find her. PLEASE, I want to finish chapter 1 of the game!
Now onwards!
Oh, and on a different note, I might have to use the famous Hentai/Anime trope, such as kissing means more power or magic comes from the essence of men, AKA semen, and stuff like that.
So, look forwards to some lemons galore if I happen to include those!
I don't own anything except some stuff
Chapter 9- Meeting the Shields, part II
Settling their brother to the bed, both Akame and Kurome gently laid the blanket on top of him. Watching him give off a smile, they both nodded to each other as they left the room.
Softly closing the door, Akame gave Kurome a smile as they both made their way into Celestine's meeting room.
"Think he'll be alright tomorrow?"
"No, we don't have the herbs to make him the usual. Brother will have to take the hangover like a man. We might have to leave a bucket for him later though."
Akame giggled as Kurome smirked.
It wasn't much of a surprise that Kurome despises drinking. She is okay with it if it is her brother, but anyone else can fuck off. Ever since she first drank wine, she would avoid it like the plague. But unlike her sister, Akame is different. She is fine with drinking as long as it doesn't go too far, but if it does go too far, then there would be problems. And like her younger sister, Akame doesn't mind if it is their brother.
Before he came of age, Adonis would sometimes wonder how alcohol tastes like. He would often try to sneak a drink or two, but in the end, he would always get caught. Either by their parents, themselves, or Kaldir.
But after he came of age, when he happily drank his first wine. Things became rather...shocking, to say the least. Instead of going down drunk on his first few drinks, he instead wanted more. If there was a day the older nobles were embarrassed, it was that same day. After all, Adonis outdrank them all.
After that, Kaldir would often tell them that Adonis acted like their mother when she was drunk. It was mostly the ramblings of an old man, but what can they say? They enjoyed listening to him. Second to eating, but still...
Entering the meeting room, they are greeted by Celestine, Kaguya, Ruu-Ruu, and Maia sitting on the table. Both Ruu-Ruu and Maia are still sporting a slight flush, but they are otherwise fine.
"Now then, shall we continue? And what was that about sleeping with my brother?"
Maia's eyes twitched as she was witnessing the glare of not one, not two, but three pairs of eyes.
Ruu-Ruu was giggling uncontrollably and Kaguya was staring at her, mildly amused.
Take a guess on who are the three that are glaring at her.
With Adonis
Waking up, Adonis took a mental note of his surroundings, or rather, the lack thereof. The darkness surrounding him, and an aura with a mixture of yellow, white, and blue.
Eyes widening, Adonis looked around quickly, his mind coming to a conclusion.
"This is the same..." He muttered to himself.
"Correct, young King."
A bright light forced Adonis to shield his eyes.
"Nice to see you again, young King. Or would you prefer Adonis?"
Blinking, Adonis attempted to lift his arms off his eyes, only to quickly cover his eyes once again due to the bright light.
"First things first, can you please stop the lights, Vendra?"
Adonis heard a noise akin to a snort before the bright lights began to dim.
Lifting his arms off his eyes for the second time, he gasped.
A large scaly body that shone like gold trailing from its sharp snout to its spiky tail.
Four clawed hind legs.
Two large wings that have a lighter shade of gold.
And finally.
A pair of sharp purple lizard-like eyes that stared at him in amusement.
"Well, young King?"
Adonis was dumbfounded, to think that the being that he met before was a...
"D-D-D-Dragon..."
Vendra raised his snout proudly as he nodded.
"Yes, I am a Dragon. To be more precise a Star Dragon!"
"Now, what would it be, young King?"
Blinking for a few moments, Adonis managed to stand straight. Clearing his throat, Adonis looked at Vendra with a controlled grin.
"I am fine with Adonis."
Vendra hummed as he stared at Adonis. If he was nervous, then he was good at hiding it.
'Interesting.'
"You are calm, despite me, a powerful being is in front of you?"
Adonis gulped as he maintained a wry smile.
"I am King. It would not do for me to be shaken by something like this." Adonis proudly lifted his chin as he looked into the eyes of the Dragon.
Vendra's eyes widened for a brief second before closing his eyes and snorting, which then turned into a burst of full-blown laughter. Adonis stood still as Vendra continued to laugh. He didn't even know Dragons can laugh.
"True! A King of the Order Empire must always remain strong! A fact that has stood true even after centuries!"
Adonis's eyes widened as he watched Vendra settle down, his booming laughter slowly dying down as his mind began racing with many questions.
'Does he know...?'
It was very possible, Vendra did mention something about the Kings during the many centuries. His predecessors are known for many great things. He would love to learn more about them. How they became King, how strong they are, how they led their people.
He wanted to learn more.
He can learn a lot more than before, how to be a great King, how to fight better.
All for the dream of surpassing his father.
"Hmph, your thoughts are a mess."
Adonis blinked as he looked at Vendra. The Dragon was now looking at him straight in the eyes, his filled with amusement as he adjusted a clawed foot.
"We are in your mind. So, whatever you are thinking, I can hear it. But I get the main idea. You want to become a great King, a great warrior. Admirable. However, what you don't realize is that I cannot give you the answers."
"What? But don't you know all of the past Kings? You have to know something!" Adonis argued.
The Dragon shook his head.
"Each King became great in their own way. The first became great because he founded the Order Empire. Each King has their own achievements, it is best you find your own. Not mimic it. Besides, you are already great in your own right."
For a brief second, Adonis felt disappointed. Something that Vendra took notice. Frowning, the Dragon lowered his head to stare at the young King face to face.
"How? I don't feel like I've done anything great."
The Dragon chuckled as he let out a breath, causing Adonis to slightly close his eyes.
"You are still young, Adonis. You have plenty of time to be great, to develop, to grow."
"Then tell me how!"
Vendra's eyes glowed as he rose. His wings flapped as he looked down at Adonis.
"Time will tell, Adonis!"
Adonis's eyes widened as a bright light consumed him.
"Walk onto fate! Your people, your friends, your family!"
"Wait! Kuh...!"
"You are destined for greatness! Let fate guide you!"
"WE WILL MEET AGAIN! ADONIS!"
Next day
Adonis gasped as he woke up from the dream. But the moment he did that, he felt a pounding headache make itself known. He groaned painfully as he clenched his teeth, trying to stave off the pain. But all it did was make it worse.
'Damn, that drink was strong!' He thought as he reached to the right, trying to grab the usual herbal medicine made by his sisters.
But unbeknownst to him, Akame and Kurome didn't make him the medicine.
So, imagine to his surprise when instead of grasping a cold solid glass he instead grabbed something...
PUNYUH~!
...different...something soft...
"Kya!"
Blinking, Adonis narrowed his eyes.
"Kya?"
Deciding to do a test, he softly gripped the soft tissue, taking note of the fact that it was rather pleasant.
"P-Please..."
'Wha-?!'
Stiffly turning his head towards the source of the voice, his eyes widened as he saw a cute girl with pink hair and round blue eyes dressed in a strapless white dress with gold accents that does nothing to hide her well-developed breasts, white gloves, and a pink skirt with white frills and a red ribbon with gold accents almost reaching the floor, on her neck is a gold choker with a blue jewel in the middle.
(AN: Hey! I'm not doing too bad on explaining the appearance! Oop! Sorry!)
'Cute...'
Nothing would explain it better than that word. Everything about her is cute. From her dress to her face, even the way she fidgets is cute!
"Umm..."
"Hmm?" Adonis blinked rapidly as the girl's cheeks blushed heavily as she looked down. He followed her gaze, causing his eyes to widen in panic as he can see his hand still touching her left breast.
And the worse/best part?
His fingers are not letting go!
"Uhhh..." He blushed as he tried to let go; keyword TRIED.
'WH-WHY?!' He tried to force his hand, but as if it has a mind on its own, it instead began to squeeze more, causing the girl to yelp and moan. 'Why is my hand not listening to me?! Ah...' His mind stopped as he felt the flesh of the girl's breast, his mind turning lewd. 'It is sinking! It's attempting to bury my fingers inside of it! It is like a bottomless swamp!' For some reason, he didn't hear her moans.
And for some reason, he felt bliss when he began to massage the breast with one hand. Like he had found paradise, in the form of big jiggling forms of flesh.
His hand continued its mission as Adonis began to stare blankly at his hand.
"Umm...!"
His gaze turned to the girl, she was shyly covering her face with her hands, and if his eyes weren't fooling him, not only her face but even her dainty hands are glowing red!
Feeling something snap inside of him, he immediately regained control of his hand and quickly pulled away.
The girl didn't seem to notice, but he ignored that and watched as the girl's body shuffled. She turned her gaze towards him, causing him to straighten his back, his body tensed.
"P-Pl-Please be gentle..."
It took him a few seconds...
But the result was...
"Ah! SORRY!" He sat on his knees as he began to repeatedly bow and apologize.
"I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO! I'M SORRY!"
The girl blinked in worry, her embarrassment gone.
Seeing the King that she was supposed to meet today bowing and apologizing over and over was something she didn't expect.
When he up and grabbed her breast, she expected him to want to spend some time with him in the bed, but it seems she was wrong.
Even when Alicia told her about him, she was still rather reserved.
And just when she took a bath too!
Her panties are already wet thanks to his groping!
BANG!
And that would be...
"What's wrong?!"
Her cousin, Alicia, was holding up the door, and behind her was Maia and the two Princesses she had the pleasure of meeting earlier.
"Adonis?/Brother?" Both Alicia and the two Princesses said at the same time as they watched him repeatedly bow and apologize.
Hearing his name, Adonis stopped as he felt his body go stiff.
(AN: And that's not the only thing that's stiff! HAHA!)
"What's wrong? What happened?" Akame asked her brother as Adonis gulped and straightened himself. He sweated as his mind raced, trying to come up with excuses.
"Why are you apologizing to Prim?"
"Uhh..." Prim was playing with her index fingers together, a small blush covering her cheeks as she looked down, trying not to look up as if it would spell doom for her if she did so.
"I...I... I almost pushed her over!" He quickly said, pointing at the girl, now named Prim.
Behind Akame, Kurome's eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion.
"Right?"
Prim looked up and nodded softly, still trying to get over the embarrassing moment.
"Is that so?" Alicia sighed, relieved. "Are you alright?" Prim meekly nodded as she gave Alicia a small smile. She returned the pinkette's smile with her own as she looked at her from top to bottom, making sure that she is indeed okay.
"Okay! Prim, I'll be downstairs. You can spend time with Adonis here. I'm sure you want to learn more about each other. Akame, Kurome, you wanted to tell me something, right? Let's talk downstairs, I'll have the servants prepare some tea." Alicia gave Prim a quick hug and turned around, not noticing Prim blush. Maia and Kurome, however, noticed it. Akame only nodded as she gave Adonis a hug, her breasts squeezing against his face.
Grinning to herself as soon as the three left the room, Maia went over to Adonis and wrapped her right arm around him, causing him to widen his eyes at her revealing outfit.
Rubbing a finger on his chest, Maia sultrily locked her eyes against his.
Prim can only hold her breath as she watched what happened.
"Remember me, lover?"
It took him a moment for his mind to register, but when it did.
"Lover?" Adonis questioned.
Maia hummed as she moved away from Adonis.
"Yeah, Ruu-Ruu didn't notice since she was drinking, but you are quite good with your hands." She smirked as she crossed her arms over to her breasts, further emphasizing it.
"Oh my."
Adonis blushed as he tried to avert his eyes from Maia's eye-catching cleavage. She sultrily grinned as she leaned closer to him. Prim's eyes widened as she covered her eyes with her hands, all the while occasionally peeking.
"You're a King, aren't you? We can go even farther than last night if you want." She softly caressed Adonis's left leg, sending shivers through his spine.
'Resist! As much as I wa-NO! Resist!'
"What's wrong? What are you hesitating for?"
"Lady Maia!"
Prim squeaked as she stared at Maia, who was almost halfway through removing her clothes. Turning towards her, Maia sighed as she fixed herself before standing up with her hands on her hips.
"Heh, sorry, Prim. But its quite hard to not play around with him, ya know?"
Prim huffed as she crossed her arms rather cutely.
"That may be so, but it does not change the fact that Adonis here can make a woman happy with just his hands." Adonis's face shifted from embarrassment to confusion, then to nervousness as he watched Prim blushed a deep red hue.
"Umm..."
"Maia, is it?" Blinking, Maia turned towards Adonis, who was scratching his hand while maintaining a nervous grin.
"Whatever happened when I was drunk last night, I just want to say I'm sorry." Maia got a look of confusion as Adonis tried to look away with a blush on his cheeks. "Touching a woman, especially when we just met, is unacceptable, especially since I am King."
Maia hummed softly as Adonis continued.
"It was irresponsible for me to drink, and inappropriate when I was..." His cheeks got even redder than before as he tried to form words.
"Snkt!"
He blinked as he looked up and saw Maia holding back her laughter. Prim was confused, but inside, she had just learned that Adonis really wasn't what she thought he was.
Nobody can sound that sincere without any hidden intent.
Maia's shoulders were shaking, but after a few moments, she sighed as she managed to compose herself.
Looking down at Adonis, she gave him a cocky smile.
"Don't about it, King! You didn't do anything wrong! Besides, I made you touch me last night!"
"WHA-?!"
Giving him a wild grin, Maia let herself fall and sit on the bed.
"You heard me, I made you touch me. And if I didn't know anything, it looked like you were about to pounce on me!" She laughed as Adonis's eyes widened in horror. Prim was quiet the whole time, but that is because she didn't know how to take in the situation.
Jumping off the bed, Adonis turned to Maia and got on his knees.
Eyes widening, Prim and Maia watched as Adonis did something rather unexpected...
THUD!
...he slammed his head on the floor, doing a perfect representation of a grovel, albeit a rather extreme one. Immediately, Prim flinched while Maia winced.
"I'M SORRY!"
"Eh?!"
Maia got on her knees as she tried to look over at Adonis, a look of panic and worry washing over her face as she realized that she has taken it too far.
"Oi! Pull yourself together, I said it was fine, so you didn't' need to do that!"
With Akame
Hearing the loud thud coming from upstairs and some loud voices, Akame can only sigh as she held onto Alicia's arm to prevent her from racing upstairs.
"Kurome."
"Hmm..."
Watching her sister wordlessly stand up and make her way upstairs, Akame gave Alicia a comforting smile.
"Don't worry, that was probably Adonis."
"Really? How can you tell?" Alicia questioned with a worried gaze as she looked up.
Looking up at the stairs, Akame smiled as she reminisced about the past.
"If you hear a sudden thud along with a loud voice, then its because brother felt guilty about something and wanted to apologize."
"Really?"
Looking at her steaming cup of tea, Akame nodded.
"I have a real handful of a brother..."
Flashback 8 years ago
"Your majesty, what happened to my room while I was gone?" An old man asked a younger Adonis, who was covered in dust, shifted his feet uncomfortably in the room.
"I...I fell from the ladders...after it broke." He muttered weakly, but Kaldir heard it and sighed.
"Really, what am I to do with you?"
His eyes narrowed as he noticed a tiny smudge of red on his collar, just below his neck.
"Now will you explain why there is blood on your clothes?"
"Eh?! Really?! You can see that?"
Huffing slightly, Kaldir smirked.
"I may be old, but my senses are still rather sharp. Now, tell me what happened. Especially since not only Myr, but you even have your sisters with you." He turned his aged eyes to the three other occupants in the room, they are also covered in dust.
Chuckling nervously, Adonis scratched the back of his head with a nervous smile.
"Well..."
15 minutes earlier
"Brother, you know what Kaldir told you!"
"Your majesty, that's dangerous!"
"Don't worry about it! I can handle it! I just need to reach for it..." Adonis huffed as he extended his hands above the bookshelf, the ladder he was on happened to be quite old and rickety.
"Whatever you are doing, your Majesty, please just wait for Master to return!" Myr warned as she looked at Adonis in worry.
Kurome just watched her brother impassively.
Turning towards Myr, Adonis grinned. "Don't worry about it Myr! I'm an expert at climbing!" Akame sighed at her brother's stubbornness.
"But..."
"Hnnnghh..."
"Got it!"
CREAK~!
"Wha-! Whoa!"
"Brother!/Your Majesty!"
Adonis felt the steps on the ladder breaking, it wouldn't have been much of a problem...if it wasn't for the fact that what he was reaching for happened to be on top of a bunch of books...which all began to wobble due to the sudden movement.
"Your majesty!"
His eyes widened as he suddenly felt an invisible force grabbing ahold of him.
Myr was holding onto her staff with two hands, the gem of the staff glowing every few seconds.
"Myr, the bo-"
"Thanks for the sa-Geh!" That was as far as Adonis got until he felt an impact on his head, this, in turn, caused Myr to lose focus because not only did Adonis got hit by a book, but the other books that fell caused a large dust cloud to form once they hit the floor, causing her to close her eyes.
And not only that...
She felt something hit her.
Or someone rather.
Her eyes widened as she was pushed and landed on her back. Her staff clattering on the floor as Adonis fell on top of her. The rhythmic breathing on her left caused a shiver to run on her spine.
Adonis stopped breathing for a second to pull back slightly from her, but that only caused them to face each other close enough to feel each other's breath.
Both of their eyes widened as they both blushed a deep shade of red.
"Y-Your Majesty...umm..."
Adonis blinked as Myr's eyes stared below her. Following her gaze, his blush returned tenfold as he noticed his right leg was in between Myr's thighs, just close enough to almost touch somewhere very delicate.
Quickly getting off her, Adonis got in position and...
"I'M SORRY!"
THUD!
...slammed his forehead to the ground.
"Your majesty!"
"Brother! What are you doing?!"
And that is when Adonis began to have that certain habit.
To the few that know of this, they will call it unnecessarily painful; but to Adonis, it is just a way of saying sorry.
Flashback end
Setting the cup down, Akame stared at the window.
'Who knew Myr was a Voiceless, thanks to her talent, brother was able to avoid some serious injuries.' Akame closed her eyes as she recalled something that Kaldir taught them.
Voiceless are gifted people destined to be great Magikills, they do not need to chant the spells, all they need is to know the spell, and learn it. Very few are born Voiceless, and as such, they are very rare. It is said that one appears one in a million.
A Voiceless can outmatch even the oldest of Magikills. If it is a test of one's power in magic, then they only need to think of the most powerful spell they know; while their opponent will have to chant a long series of words in order to cast the spell.
A small smile graced her lips as she picked up her cup.
Half a day later
After being berated by not only his sisters, but also by Prim, Adonis managed to spend his day at the White Citadel. He was able to properly introduce himself to Maia and Ruu-Ruu. And after spending some time with Prim, he was able to fully salvage the situation that happened between them earlier in the day.
Although, it is not easy to say that he spent the rest of his day without any problems.
For one, his hangover was constantly hammering his head with headaches.
And for two, he has to steel himself...because everywhere he looks, there is always someone who is in equal states of near-undressed.
And as someone who is very young, it was hard for himself to NOT stare, lest he will be caught and embarrassed, or worse.
But that was earlier, and it is now.
Sitting on a chair and writing on a piece of paper that he requested, Adonis nodded as he finished writing.
Stretching as he began standing up and looking outside his window, he smiled as he saw his guards, mainly the Speartons, Archidons, and the Swordwraths, training on a wide space provided by Celestine herself.
He took notice of an Archidon on a water break looking around. But that all stopped when he noticed him looking.
Nodding, Adonis sent the Archidon a silent message, which the Archidon responded in kind and began his trek to his room.
Looking at the paper, he smiled.
"Can't have a party without some presents." He muttered.
"Wahahahaha!" Blinking, he looked outside and saw Ruu-Ruu doing the same training exercise as the Speartons...and outpacing them.
Sighing, Adonis chuckled.
"Well, at least something good came out of getting drunk. I wouldn't be able to prepare otherwise."
Next day
"I wanna play!"
Adonis weakly chuckled as he watched Ruu-Ruu being held up by Claudia, preventing her from swinging her large axe around the training area.
To think that a small girl like Ruu-Ruu being able to lift an axe taller than her, if Adonis didn't know of her race, then he'd rub his eyes and ask himself if he was dreaming. But such things are not available now.
'And the way she defines play...' Adonis got a sweatdrop as he can imagine the damages being done. If she can lift that axe with no problem and beat a mob of grown men into submission just for fun, then it wasn't very hard to imagine what would happen should she let herself loose.
And that's not even mentioning the fact that she is pretty much the female version of both Akame and Kurome, except with alcohol.
"Stop! You know what happens when you swing your axe!" Claudia reprimanded as Ruu-Ruu pouted as she dropped her axe causing a loud thud to come off it. She crossed her arms as she huffed.
"Claudia is being mean!"
"I am only preventing a serious accident from happening!"
"How am I going to cause an accident?!"
"Do you really need to ask that?!"
Maia sighed as she leaned back from her chair as she rubbed her forehead.
Right now, he was just taking a break from his daily training. Fortunately, he trained with his top on, thanks to his sisters. It was such a weird feeling not feeling the cold air cool his body while he trained. But what can he do? When Akame and Kurome put their foot down, then its best to follow their instructions.
"I'm bored." Adonis looked at Maia with a raised brow as she balanced her chair, trying to stave off boredom.
"Then do something, sitting around won't help."
"There's not really much happening right now, King."
King, a nickname Maia gave to Adonis because he's...well...a King. Adonis accepted it easily enough, and in return, he can call her by her name. She called him that since the first time they properly introduced each other, and it stuck.
"Then go train yourself, go on a spar or something."
Maia hummed as she looked at Adonis, then an idea formed on top of her head as she did a Cheshire-like cat grin.
Stopping her balancing, she calmly stood up and grabbed Adonis's arm, causing him to widen his eyes as he was dragged to an open space.
"Spar with me!"
Adonis blinked as Maia took out a pair of wooden short swords, readying them in a stance.
"What's wrong? Pick a weapon so we can spar."
Everyone was stopping what they were doing as they decided to watch the upcoming spar.
Sighing, Adonis chuckled and shrugged his shoulders as he went to a nearby bench and grabbed a wooden shield and a wooden quarterstaff.
"So that's how it works..." Prim praised as she walked with Alicia and Akame, all three of them discussing the tradition of the Order Empire.
Akame gave her a gentle smile before she stopped and turned her head towards Kurome, who noticed her and simply pointed a finger towards where she was looking.
"Oh? Maia is sparring with Adonis?" Alicia muttered to herself, her eyes shining in interest.
"Seems like it. Oh, brother's using his own style." Akame said as Adonis twirled the quarterstaff and held it on a reverse grip.
"Huh? He's using the short end of the quarterstaff; wouldn't that leave him with a shorter range?" Prim questioned as she looked at Akame and Alicia for answers.
"Yes, but if you look at Maia, then you'd see why." Alicia said as Maia grips her wooden swords tightly, excited for the spar.
Adonis walked to the right while Maia to the left.
Both combatants studying each other, watching their movements, looking for openings, weaknesses.
Maia took the first move.
Getting low as she dashes towards Adonis, she did a reverse grip on one of her wooden blades. Adonis saw this and gripped his quarterstaff slightly as he waited for Maia to get closer.
Once she did, he immediately spun around and straightened his arm, increasing the range of the quarterstaff.
Seeing this, Maia smirked as she took a jump and avoided the hit aimed for her legs. Raising both of wooden blades into the air, she descended on Adonis. He anticipated this as he raised his shield and once Maia was on top of it, he pushed a strong amount of force in it, forcing Maia to do a backflip as she landed on the soft grass.
Maia smirked as Adonis slowly approached her. His form still looking strong as he looked at her eyes. The quarterstaff and his hand were hidden by the shield, so she didn't know much about what he would do next.
Reacting quickly, Adonis struck.
Her eyes widened however as she felt something hit her on top of her left foot. But she didn't have time to react as she barely dodged a shield bash.
Reacting quickly, she swung, causing Adonis to grunt weakly as he hopped back.
Standing up straight, but still on guard, Maia glanced at her foot and can already see the signs of a small bruise in the shape of a circle forming.
Looking at Adonis she gave him a wry grin as she calmly stretched her left foot. Doing circles with it to ease the pain.
"Just one hit and it's already starting to bruise, you don't hold back, huh?" She said as Adonis shook his head in amusement. "No, last time I held back, my sister ran circles around me, literally." Akame held a laugh as she remembered that time.
"If we were using real weapons, then I'd probably have lost by now." Adonis smirked as he nodded. "Take out their speed, then they'd lose their best weapon." Maia snorted.
"But it'll take more than that to take me down."
"I was thinking the same."
Adonis charged as Maia got ready.
Despite the pain coursing through her left foot, Maia jumped as she stretched her hand towards his shield, causing her to do a cartwheel. Adonis's eyes widened as he felt a hit on his back, skidding his charge to a stop, he did a thrust that Maia easily dodged, her smirk was wide as she raised her right hand preparing for the finishing blow.
However, that came to a stop as Adonis's muscles bulged as he twisted his hips and spun around.
"What?!" Maia can only utter as she felt the air forcefully leave her lungs as the quarterstaff landed a solid hit to her chest.
She can only do one thing as she gritted her teeth and let go of one of her wooden swords and take an aim at Adonis's hand, he winced as he continued his spin and let the force of his swing do the rest.
"How strong is he?"
Akame shrugged her shoulders as she crossed her arms.
"He was always that strong. With the intense training of Speartons and brother's natural strength, he is a force to be reckoned with. You'd be surprised at how Adonis held himself back when he punched Count Trystan." Blinking, Alicia closed her eyes in thought as she remembers the incident.
"You're right." Alicia muttered in realization, while Akame nods proudly.
Meanwhile, Prim was still watching.
Rolling on the grass, Maia immediately got up and dodged just in time as the shield that Adonis held was thrown at her.
"Ha!" Adonis roars as he jumps up and does an overhead swing.
Maia was about to dodge until the pain on her foot forced her to stop.
'The hell?! It was only one hit and it hurts!' She gritted her teeth as she gripped her remaining wooden sword with both hands and prepared to block the blow.
However, it never came.
Instead, she felt something softly poking at her stomach.
Looking down, her eyes widened as the quarterstaff was pressed against her. Adonis was panting slightly as small beads of sweat raced down his body.
He smirked.
"Yield."
She blinked and sighed as she chuckled weakly and let go of the wooden sword.
"You win."
Adonis nodded as he pulled back the quarterstaff and settled the butt of it on the grass.
"You've got good strength, King. Not only that, but that quick thinking." Maia praised as she patted her chest in relief as the adrenaline was finally settling down.
"You're not bad yourself, your reflexes and agility could've given me some trouble if I didn't slow you down."
She nodded as she put her hands on her hips as she looks at the audience. Both Inamortans and Eostians clapping.
"Now for the party." Adonis muttered as he exhaled.
'Just hope that I picked the right ones.'
"Great! Now it's my turn!" Ruu-Ruu roared as she finally managed to pry herself out of Claudia's grip.
"Hey, Adonis! Let's play!" Adonis's eyes widened as Ruu-Ruu ran towards him with her axe raised ready for a swing. Backing away quickly, he felt sweat come off his body as Claudia began to chase after the Dwarf.
'Add surviving from Ruu-Ruu to the list!' Adonis thought as he turned around and began to run for his life.
All the while a girl with an axe the size of a full-grown man was chasing after him.
Terrifying.
There! Done!
Now some of you may have question as to why the spar was short. But the spar wasn't really a spar, it was more like a test or a demonstration of what Adonis can do. And trust me, that was only the tip of the iceberg!
Vendra's seconds appearance! What would happen? What is his role? What is his relevance? Questions answered by the future chapters!
There are two references here in this chapter!
One from an anime, an isekai anime to be exact.
And the other from a game where salty players are everywhere.
*Sigh*
Now then, leave a review, cuz that's the only reason why I can keep on going! I need the opinions!
Also, before I forget, leave a suggestion on what Adonis's gifts should be to the Seven Shields. Already have an idea for each of them, but I'd appreciate it if you guys leave a suggestion!
That's all!
So, for now!
Ciao! Peace!
