Chapter 12- A Hectic Morning
Looking around, Adonis blinked as he can see countless stars around him. He was standing, yet he wasn't feeling anything touch his feet. It's a feeling that he isn't used to. It felt like he was floating, sure he floated once thanks to Myr during their childhood, but that was only once. She's not here casting her levitation spell, so Adonis came up with only one conclusion.
"I must be dreaming." He heard a loud snort, causing him to turn around with a smirk. What greeted him was the Star Dragon itself, Vendra...and he was giving him a wide grin, which rose many questions from Adonis.
Like how can he grin like that?
But that and those questions were for another time, this time he is facing Vendra.
"Adonis," Vendra called out his name with deep respect, causing him to raise a brow. Why was he being respectful all of a sudden?
"Congratulations!"
He blinked a couple of times while Vendra was nodding in approval; and his eyes were having a sharp gleam that Adonis can only identify as...pride?
"To think that you managed to find a mate so quick! You work fast, Adonis!" Adonis made a surprised face as his brain attempted to register what Vendra said. But once he did, Adonis gained a small blush as he looked to the side.
"I...have no words..." He slumped as he sighed. "It all happened so suddenly...one second I was just talking to Celestine, then the next, I felt a strong desire...to make her mine..."
"The answer is simple, you yourself wanted her. The desire you felt was normal. That heat is normal. You are a man, Adonis."
"Bu-"
"No buts!" Adonis flinched a little at how Vendra raised his voice. It was powerful, and it echoed loudly. "Even the most humble and faithful will be tempted to have her. You just followed what you want, even with your love with that Eclipsor woman. Everything that happened, you wanted it. Saying anything else disappoints me. So, take responsibility, Adonis." Adonis gulped as Vendra's eyes stared right through his red eyes.
It was unnerving enough when he met Vendra for the first time, but having him staring intensely right at him? It was downright terrifying. Especially when it's a large Dragon that can kill him with one bite. But despite all this, he can-no, he will not back down. Something inside of him wouldn't let him.
Narrowing his eyes as he kept his eyes on Vendra, Adonis nodded silently. The Dragon hummed, his voice vibrating the space around them, surprising Adonis.
"Good, keep it up and I can leave everything up to you in the future." Adonis blinked in confusion as Vendra sounded...happy?
"The future? Why?" When Vendra said it, it was quite questionable. As if it was something that he wanted to happen, not just him bedding Celestine.
"Why?" Vendra snorted as he rose to his full height. "The Order Empire needs a future. With you at its helm, then the future is bright. But with that elf? The future is brighter than the sun!" The Dragon laughed out loud as Adonis winced, feeling everything around him tremble.
"Why, with that body of hers, there's no doubt that she'd safely deliver every kid you pump into her!"
"Wha-" Immediately, Adonis felt a deep shade of a blush envelop his face as Vendra laughs, much to his dismay. There was no doubt about it, should their relationship continue, then he will have to marry her, which will no doubt happen. And if what happened when they were alone happened again whenever they're together then...every year...
Speaking of which, something else made itself known in his mind. Or a reminder rather.
'Not only did I finish inside her once or twice, but I also did it thrice!' He paled as he felt nervousness take over his mind.
'What would happen to them? To Celestine were she to conceive?'
Adonis's brain froze as something registered in his mind.
'What if Celestine conceived not one, but two children?!'
Already he is breathing very hard as he felt everything around him spinning. It would both be a joy and a nightmare. He had helped out with his mother when she was pregnant with Akame and Kurome back then.
He remembered waking up at night whenever he hears either of them crying when they were still babies.
Yes...a joy and a...nightmare...
"Oi! Get a hold of yourself! You're breaking my home!" That snapped him out of it as Vendra blew air out of his nose in annoyance. Adonis sighed as he felt his legs turn into jelly. Vendra snorted as his wings flapped a few times. He watched Adonis for a few seconds, taking a mental note of what's running through his mind.
After a while, Vendra finally sighed.
"You said you'd take responsibility, right?" Adonis looked up at Vendra and just nodded.
"Then do it, don't think about anything else. Should she conceive your child, then make sure to protect them, no matter what." Vendra looked down at Adonis once again. "You'll do it, won't you?" Adonis clenched his teeth as he looked at the Dragon. "Of course, I will! Even if Celestine and I were to have a child out of wedlock, then there is no way I would not protect them! I may have only met her, but she is already a part of my life! A part of me...that's why..." His hair shadowed his eyes as he looked down at his feet.
A moment of silence passed before Vendra broke it.
"That's it. With that much conviction, then the bloodline is safe." Adonis blinked as he looked at Vendra, perplexed. "What do you mean? Bloodline?" Vendra nodded.
"Yes, your bloodline. To be specific, your mother's." Adonis's eyes widened.
"My mother's...? Why hers? I understand if it is my father's, but why her?" Vendra hummed as he closed his eyes.
"My mother was a commoner, but she rose through the ranks and became a Matriarch, and later on, the Queen." As harsh as it sounds, aside from her being the Queen, his mother, and her skills as a Swordwrath, she is not that special. So, it came to a surprise as to why she is mentioned instead of his father.
Vendra's eyes opened.
"I am sorry, but you must find out on your own. That is my promise to her."
"Promise? What promise? In fact, how do you know my mother?!" The confusion was written all over his face. It was such a puzzle.
"If you wish to know, then you must read Kaldir's journal. There, you will find the answer."
"Kaldir's journal? Why? Why not tell me now?!" He was getting irritated, his anger was slowly building up, Vendra can tell.
'He is still young, he will have no control over his emotions and desires...unfortunately, I cannot tell him, he must learn on his own.'
"As I've said, you must find out on your own. Read his journal, your questions will be answered with it. It is up to you if you wish to know about the truth or not!"
And with that, Adonis started to glow, causing him to look around his body in astonishment.
"We will meet again, Adonis!"
And his whole world went white.

A woman dressed in a regal white dress with golden embroideries that hugged her hourglass figure tightly sat on a bed as she watched a six-year-old girl playing with a pair of dolls.
Her hair was black and straight, reaching up to her hips, and her red eyes shone brightly as she happily watched the girl from afar.
This was Asa Virknados, Queen of the Order Empire and the wife of Linarius Virknados, King of the Order Empire.
And right now, she has been spending time with her beloved daughter, Akame. 'She really is active, that's my daughter.' She looked outside the room's window and smiled as she took note of the dark sky.
The room itself was the royal bedroom for her and her beloved husband. All around the room were paintings of different kinds with different meanings. The room was luxurious enough with the decorations, but with the King-sized bed with light blue curtains, it was more than that.
"Akame, it is time to sleep." Her voice was smooth, like silk. Despite her coming from a commoner family, others would admire her for her beauty, strength, skill, and even her hunger and being able to eat more times that of a normal person.
"Okay, mother." Akame obeyed reluctantly as she picked up her dolls and went to her. The Queen smiled as she held her daughter against her buxom, giving her a gentle embrace.
"Now, let us go. Your brother is probably all ready to sleep and waiting for you." Akame smiled brightly as she let go of her mother. This caused Asa's heart to melt in joy. "Yeah! Hey, mother, can you tell us that story again?"
Blinking, Asa smiled as she looked at her daughter's eyes, the same shade staring at her, waiting for an answer.
"Okay."
Akame cheered as she went over to the doors and opened it, motioning for her to follow. Asa just chuckled in amusement as she followed her daughter over to Adonis and her shared room.
Many find it odd that a boy and a girl share the same bed to sleep. But they are children for fuck's sake! Nobles nowadays are way too into their own rules. Some commoners share a room despite the difference in gender, and they don't complain. So, why should she follow their damn rules? She's not impressing any of the old coots.
She is the Queen and they are lower than her, but most importantly, Adonis and Akame are her children, her family. There shouldn't be any problem as she raises them, even her husband the King lets her do her own thing.
So focused on her own thoughts, she didn't notice that she and her daughter are already in front of a double wooden door.
Looking down at her daughter to make her smile, Asa pushed opened the doors.
What greeted her was a simple but luxurious room with portraits hanging on the walls. Each portrait depicting heroism, bravery, and warriors of renown. On the bed and in the blankets was a young boy with red eyes with the same shine into them. His black hair was kept clean and he was smiling as Akame bounced over to the bed and jumped up the covers.
This caused the two to collide with playful banter as they laughed. Asa giggled as she went over to the bed and sat on it.
"Adonis, how were your lessons?" The boy in question stopped and faked a cough, causing her and Akame to giggle. "It was alright, Lord Kaldir taught me a whole lot." She smiled mirthfully as Akame settled herself comfily in the cover of the blankets.
"Now then, Akame wanted me to tell her a story."
Immediately, Adonis perked up.
"What story? Is it about Felix and his adventures in the Chaos Wastes? Or is it about the First King, Sigheart?" Asa chuckled. 'Always the one about adventure and valor. He spends too much time with Diamatrus and Tarnas.'
"No, but you know Akame's favorite." The realization was visible through Adonis's face, but instead of making a face, he instead smiled as he relaxed on the bed and snuggled closer with Akame.
Smiling at her children, Asa closed her eyes and started.
There was once a man and a woman, a husband and wife. For years, they have been together, but much to their dismay, they can bear no children. One day, they visited a physician. After waiting and having her body tested, the physician told them the reason why no child can be born between them.
"The woman is barren." She said much to their horror.
Distraught, the woman locked herself in her room, never coming out despite the pleas of the husband.
This went on for days, until a man, a friend of the two, appeared in their doorstep. He has heard of their situation and has come up with a solution.
"Travel to the west, to unknown lands, and a miracle will be granted upon you." He said.
Convinced, the husband and wife traveled to the west, overcoming every obstacle. It took them days, but in the end, they have reached their destination.
The land was beautiful and untouched. As if the very land kept itself hidden in the eyes of many.
Believing that they have finally found what they are looking for, the husband and wife searched around for a miracle.
The wife, on her lonesome, found a cave. She didn't know why, but she was drawn to it. She felt the need to go inside the cave and explore it.
And so, she did.
The cave was dark, damp, and scary, but she persevered, her determination overcoming her fear of the darkness. She can't see much, but she can tell that there are ponds of water everywhere. Continuing her walk, she pressed onward, even if her feet got drenched with water.
But then, a voice called.
"Who dares awaken me?" A powerful voice asked. The woman stood still, fear crept to her heart as she looked around, trying to find the source of the voice.
"I ask of thee, who dares to cometh here?" The mysterious voice asked again.
Having no choice, the woman steeled herself. "I dare!" The woman called out despite her fear. "Thy bravery from a mortal despite fear grasping at your heart. Tell me, why dost you come here?" The voice asked curiously.
And so, the woman told the voice in the cave of her plea. The voice silently listened to the woman's problems. And with every waking moment, he felt sympathy for the childless woman. For many years, the woman was childless, she had always thought that it wasn't the time every time she failed to conceive a child, only for that hope to shatter after news of her sterility reached her.
After the woman told her of her tragedy and after shedding her tears, the voice spoke up.
"Drink the water with your desire in your heart. Do so, and thou will be granted a miracle."
The woman followed what the voice told her.
As she drank the water, she thought to herself of how strange the water tasted.
"It tastes sweet." She told herself.
After drinking her fill, she stood up, thanked the voice, and left the cave.
Months after the event. A miracle has happened.
She birthed a child.
She shed tears of joy as her wish has granted to her, her very own child. The husband and wife raised their child with hope returned to their hearts.
And they lived happily ever after.

Asa smiled as she watched her children sleep peacefully.
Reaching up to the blankets, she fixed it on top of her children, kissed their foreheads, and left their room.

Red eyes revealed themselves to the room as Akame woke up and got up from her bed. She rubbed her eyes as she stifled a yawn.
"That dream..." She mumbled to herself as she reached for the glass of water on the table beside the bed.
After she drank the water in one go, she smiled softly as her thoughts wandered to her childhood. How she played with her brother, when Kurome was born, everything about it.
And then there was the time when Linarius and Asa, the King and Queen of the Order Empire, their parents, died.
It was a mournful day that was.
When the pyres burned their bodies and when their ashes were collected for burial, it made Adonis determined.
It was no secret that there are many nobles who saw this as an opportunity to be able to snag control of the throne via marriage.
But thankfully, through Kaldir, he was able to teach them how to survive in the cold and cruel world of politics. She isn't that skilled as her brother at politics, but that is mostly because of how Adonis practically dealt with snob nobles almost every day.
Thanks to this, marriage proposals were rejected. And then, an inspiration came and a new law was implemented by her brother himself.
'Any who wish to join the army of the Order Empire may join, and to those that achieve Knighthood or higher will have a choice: make your own house, or stay with your own.'
This means that to those who wish it, they can start their own house. It may seem cruel, but it is a way out for many young nobles who are pressured by their family to be free from their own house. Especially for women who began training to be a part of the army. Which brings up her own situation and Kurome's.
Even as princesses, they were still seen as useful pawns for many power-hungry nobles. That or as their own personal bed warmers, she shudders to imagine it.
Akame and Kurome didn't leave their own house, because they are princesses. But it does leave them free from marriage proposals for a couple of years.
She looked at her dress and nodded to herself as she slowly undressed, managing it even without looking.
Her body was not super voluptuous as Celestine and the others, but it doesn't mean it is not attractive. She already caught quite a lot of attention from other noble families last night, and it reminded her of the nobles in the Order Empire.
"Wonder if brother is awake yet." She said to herself as she finished dressing herself.
Walking out of the room, she glanced around as servants worked tirelessly for Celestine. They all do mundane tasks such as cleaning the windows, sweeping the floor, and the like. And in all honesty, this truly reminded her of home.
'Strange, I am in another place, yet I feel nostalgic.' She mused to herself as she walked towards where her brother's room is.
Grasping the door, she narrowed her eyes as she felt something strange. 'What?' She slowly twisted the door. Slowly opening it, she tensed her body as she prepared herself to react to anything dangerous waiting for her in the room.
That is until a strange smell wafted over to her.
And for some reason, it is drawing her towards it.
Gulping slightly, she fully opened the door and...
Her eyes widened as she took in what is in front of her.
Both Adonis and Celestine in bed, their clothes on the floor, the sheets were messy and wet, and finally, she can smell something strong coming off of Celestine.
Sex.
Her brother and Celestine, have had sex...
This can only mean one thing...
'Brother is...' Before the thought could finish, her body stiffened as Celestine woke up, stifled a yawn, and rose up from the bed, revealing her pearly white skin and her voluptuous body to Akame.
She looked so relax, but the moment her green eyes saw Akame, she stopped in her tracks as her face went red.
"Eep!"
It was such a cute and childish sound and it came from such a beautiful and mature woman, Akame can only wonder if Celestine is actually a young girl deep inside her heart.
She dove back into the blankets quite roughly. Which in turn, awakened her brother as he, unlike Celestine, released his yawn fully. He scratched the back of his slightly as his eyes opened. He blinked for a few seconds before his eyes widened and he gave her a nervous grin.
"This isn't what it looks like...?" Akame's left eye twitched. 'He's not even sure about what he's saying!'
Crossing her arms over to her chest as she glared at her brother. "How so?" Adonis began to chuckle nervously as he held out his arms as if surrendering.
After a few moments of silence, Adonis sighed in dejection. "Yeah, I did it. I don't know how, but I did." Akame nodded as she closed the doors to prevent peering eyes from spying on them.
Taking a nearby chair, Akame sat in front of both of them.
Understanding what's happening, Adonis went first.
"First of all, I don't know why, but..." He closed his eyes as he sighed. "I wanted this to happen, and I acted on it." This caught Akame off guard. Not because of the confession, but because of how he said he wanted it to happen. Like a side of him wanted it, while the other doesn't.
It was strange in a way, but she didn't make a comment on it.
"Understandable given how..." Her eyes glanced towards Celestine, who gave her a shy wave of a hand. "Beautiful Celestine is. But you understand what this means, right?" Adonis nodded. "If she were to conceive your child now, then the ceremony must start once she starts showing signs of her pregnancy. A child born under wedlock will never be accepted in the Empire." Adonis grits his teeth. "I know. That's why if she were to have my child now, I will take responsibility." This caused both Akame and Celestine to smile. The former because of how responsible Adonis is, and the latter because of how much he cares for her and the child.
"Good, I will not say much to this matter as it will damage both your reputations. Not only that but once the Council hears of this, they will jump at the chance to...sabotage you at any moment they get." Adonis smiled faintly as he nodded towards his sister.
"Thank you, Akame for this." Celestine bowed her head. Akame in turn just shook her head. "It is not a problem, it is your business to what you both do under the sheets." This caused both of them to turn red.
Adonis faked a cough as he turned towards Akame. "Akame, try to find Kurome and tell her what has happened. I'd rather she learns from you than her walking in on us."
Akame nodded as she stood up, bowed, and left the room.
Adonis sighed as he relaxed his body and let gravity take control of his body, causing him to softly land on the bed, causing it to make him bounce.
Meanwhile, Celestine held a finger, causing it to glow slightly as she pointed it at the door, causing the door to let out an audible 'click', indicating that it is locked.
Celestine smiled softly as she laid down next to him. This caused him to glance at her with a small blush. The silence between them was rather awkward, to say the least, in Adonis's opinion anyway.
"Would you really take responsibility?" He blinked as he looked down at Celestine. "Of course, I will. If I don't, then I can't look at myself in the mirror without feeling guilty about it. That and..." He looked to the side as his hand slowly crept up to her stomach, causing her to jump slightly at the touch. "Its m-no, our child. If you do conceive my child, then I will help you along the way, not for me, but for the both of you." His eyes burned as he instinctively wrapped his arms around her as if to protect her.
Celestine hummed.
"You really are a good man, Adonis. To care for someone you just met, it makes me happy, knowing that I fell in love with you."
Adonis blinked a few times before gulping as he looked to the side in embarrassment.
Celestine giggled.
'Not that you don't know that I can sense life around me, including my own. Not now, but someday.' She promised to herself as she slid a hand to Adonis's around her stomach. He blinked as Celestine's dainty hand wrapped around his and held on to it tightly.
She smiled at him sweetly as she rested her head on Adonis's chest, feeling and hearing his heartbeat.
With Akame
On a balcony stood Akame. But something is wrong...
Clutching onto her chest as she panted, her cheeks flushed red and her breathing ragged, her body was hot as she felt sweat pouring off from her body.
'What is this feeling?' She thought to herself as she closed her eyes and began to relax her body.
This all started after she entered Adonis's room. She managed to restrain it as best as she could, but for some reason, after she left his room, she began feeling weird. Her body grew hot and for some odd reason, the moment she entered his room, she smelled something alluringly sweet. Like how some plants give off a sweet scent to attract insects.
She didn't know why, but the moment she smelled it, her mind began to get cloudy. And weirdly enough she had the strangest feeling of wanting to be with Adonis, her brother.
Don't get her wrong, she loves her brother, but she felt something other than familial love. No, it was more than that. It felt so wrong, but for some reason, her very being wanted it, to relish in it, she felt her desires overflowing with her want to be with her brother.
Is she having what Kurome calls a big brother complex?
Shaking her head as she calmed herself. She relaxed her breathing, Akame opened her eyes as she watched the birds fly above the sky. The bustling marketplace filled with people just a couple of blocks away made for quite a relaxing sound, almost sounding like music to her ears.
But she couldn't get rid of certain thoughts, it was strange to see her brother as someone else. Last night, when his face snarled into a cold scowl, so different from his usual caring demeanor. And now, it was him being in bed with Celestine.
She always thought that it was El, but for some reason, Adonis picked Celestine. "Well, it is his choice, I have no choice but to support him all the way..." She muttered to herself as she narrowed her eyes, glaring at the clouds.
She says so, but why does she feel a pang in her heart?
With Adonis and Celestine
"Oh, I actually forgot to mention this to you."
Adonis blinked as he looked at Celestine, who was sporting a teasing smile.
"Congratulations on getting engaged with Ruu-Ruu!"
Bewildered, Adonis blinked once, then twice, then thrice, then...
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?!"
