Dean had held on to her arm as he dragged her through her garden and into the darkness. He didn't need to. She wasn't planning on trying to make a run for it or even scream. These men were trained in torture. She was sure they could kill just as easily if they felt pressured.
She wasn't surprised when she found herself in front of a car. If it was stolen or one of them owned it somehow, she didn't know. It didn't matter either. She was pushed into the backseat along with Roman while Seth took the wheel, and Dean sat in the passenger seat.
They drove for hours until they reached a home that had seen better days way out in the middle of nowhere. Seth drove around the house and parked so the car couldn't be seen from the road. Once inside the house, it looked just as dirty and unused as the outside.
"Who owns this?" Tori asked.
"No one," Roman answered. "The owner died 12 years ago. It's been empty since. It's like no one remembers there's actually a house out here. No one ever claimed it after he passed away."
"And how do you know about it?" Tori asked.
"Doesn't matter," Dean said. "This way."
Dean grabbed her arm again and pulled her to a room in the back. They had put wooden boards across the window so she couldn't escape.
"You prepared for this," Tori said.
"We did," Dean pushed her. "Sleep. On the bed between me and Roman. Seth will sleep in front of the door so you can't get out that way either."
"Why don't you tell me what you want?" Tori asked.
"I still think she turned us in," Seth said. "I'm gonna talk to Becky about it. She can't lie directly to my face."
"I didn't tell anyone!" Tori hissed. "I didn't get this far in my career by selling out."
"Bed!" Dean barked. "Don't make me tell you again."
Tori gave up arguing with them and laid down on the bed. Dean and Roman laid down on either side of her and boxed her in. Seth laid down in front of the door. The house was eerie quiet. It took some time but Tori finally fell asleep. She woke up many hours later to screaming next to her. She opened her eyes and found Dean screaming in his sleep next to her. She didn't think about it. She moved up on her knees and tried shaking him awake.
"Dean, wake up. You're having a nightmare," she said.
His eyes flew open. His hands went around her throat. He pushed her down on her back and towered above her while he squeezed. She clawed at his hands in an attempt to get free and breathe. He was killing her.
"Dean!" Roman shouted. "Let go! You're awake! You're out of the nightmare! Let her go!"
Dean let go and leaned back on his knees. He looked at his hands as if he couldn't believe what he had just done. He turned his eyes to Tori who was coughing and heaving for air.
"Fuck!" Dean yelled.
He jumped out of bed and walked over to the door. Seth moved away so that Dean could get out. Dean threw the door open so hard that it slammed loudly into the wall. They listened to him walk outside of the house.
"Are you okay?" Roman asked.
"No," Tori answered. "He would have killed me if it hadn't been for you."
"He suffers from these nightmares," Roman sighed. "I don't know if it's worth anything but it wasn't you he was trying to kill. It was whatever demon he was battling in his sleep. He's never fully awake when these things happen."
They heard footsteps again, and shortly after Dean came walking back in. He looked at Tori and scratched his head.
"I'm sorry," Dean said.
"It's okay," Tori said.
"I need to know. Tell me the truth. This will be the last time I ask," Dean said. "Did you turn us in?"
"No," Tori said. "I never removed the blindfold."
"Seth, go have a talk with Becky," Dean said. "Now!"
Seth nodded and disappeared out of the house. Dean looked back at Tori.
"It was a good show," Dean said. "The piece you did on us. It was good. It was right. You didn't lie and you didn't hide anything."
"I told you I would let the world know everything," Tori said.
"You did," Dean said. "And I'm a fucking bastard for trying to kill you."
"It wasn't you. It was your nightmare playing tricks on your mind," Tori said.
"How the hell can you forgive me when I can't even forgive myself?" Dean asked.
Dean walked out of the room again. Tori moved to follow but Roman placed a hand on her arm.
"Let him go. No good will come by following him. Trust me, I've tried. He needs to cool down on his own," Roman said.
"It wasn't me, Roman," Tori said. "I swear, it wasn't me."
"I believe you," he said. "Let's hope Seth is right about Becky not being able to lie. He told us to trust her. I don't hold that against him. But I know he won't be able to forgive himself if he finds out he made us trust the wrong person. They're both breaking. I don't know how much longer I can pretend to be strong and hold them both together."
She placed her hands on his cheeks and stroked her thumbs over his beard.
"You don't have to be strong all the time. They are your friends. Your brothers. They won't mind if you break too," she said.
"I can't," he sighed and closed his eyes. "They need me."
"And you need them," she said.
She moved in and pressed her lips against his in a soft kiss. They sat like that for a second before she parted her lips and gave him a deeper kiss. He broke the kiss, wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in to hold her close.
"I haven't held a woman for so long," he mumbled.
"You can hold me for as long as you need," she said.
"Thank you," he said.
