Present day.

Stardust now was a year and a half old and lived in the house, she could not fly yet. She could only cause a small flame. She was only s bit bigger than she was a year ago. Unfortunately in the world she came from dragons her age would be able to use most if not all their abilities so she was way behind. She often spend time in Amethyst's room and also spent time with Peridot and Lapis. One day she was laying on the ground watching the TV, Garnet walked in and approached the dragon "You need to learn to fly" she stated. Stardust looked at the gem confused, Pearl approached her "You have wings so clearly you should be able to use them in some way?" She added. Stardust flapped her wings. Amethyst approached her as well.

The dragon stood on her hind legs and attempted to cross her hands but failed, Amethyst stood next to her and saw that Stardust on her hind legs was the height of Amethyst. "We let you slack off for a long time". Garnet grabbed the dragon and they walked outside. The three gems stood on the sand, Stardust was lowered onto the sand and told to flap her wings. The dragon refused and ran back into the house.

Garnet grew slightly annoyed, the gems ran after her. "Stardust! Don't run away!".

Stardust was curled up on the floor under a sheet of paper trying to hide. Garnet saw her and called to the other gems, Pearl lifted the paper and stroked the dragon's head. "Stardust..." Pearl said quietly.

"We are sorry, we thought you were ready" Garnet apologized. "I was so exited, we all are excited to see your powers" Pearl assured. "We can fix your fear of heights!" Amethyst offered. The dragon jumped up and hissed a little. "You are not scared when you sit on my head" Garnet told her. "Yeah well, I have grip!" She argued. Stardust thought about it and wanted to change the conversation "Talking about heights... other than the diamonds who is the highest gem?" Stardust asked.

"Hmmm... Well Fusions can be kinda big" Pearl replied. Stardust was confused "Fusion? What's a fusion?, are they kind?". "A fusion is not a gemstone type, it's two or more gems who have a bond, the gems when they fuse become bigger and stronger" Pearl explained. "An example is when me and Pearl fuse we create Opal!" Amethyst replied. Stardust was so happy to hear this "I wanna meet Opal!" She cheered. "Maybe someday, just not right now" Pearl told Stardust.

Night time

Stardust was asleep on a large pillow on the floor, She was dreaming. In her dream she was flying without flapping her wings, she was flying over the ocean and landed in front of Pearl who was happy to see her flying. Later she was flying in the clouds looking for any other creatures like her, the only think she knew she was a reptile creature from another world. She gave up and flew back home.

Day time

"I flew in my dream!" She told Amethyst happily. They started to chat until Stardust had an idea. "What if we have a gem-lympics? Like the olympics but with the gems! You, Pearl, Garnet, Peridot, Lapis and perhaps Sprinkles could join too." Amethyst smiled at that idea "I can help, so what are the challenges?"

Stardust nodded and thought "Running, Swimming... Tug of war, Trampoline or some sort of gymnastics... anything that is in normal olympics really... please don't tell anyone becouse I want to keep it as a surprise" Amethyst nodded. "I will have a look for objects and places for this" she smiled. The two exited the room and went into the house. Pearl looked at them "What were you both doing?" She asked, the two got nervous.

"Nothing suspicious, we swear!" Amethyst quickly told her. "It's a surprise, a good surprise!" Stardust added. Pearl decided to believe them.

The next day Stardust and Amethyst were together in her room, Amethyst had a bland book and pencil to write.

"So, are we going to do? Elimination or Points?" Stardust asked her "Huh?". "You know... In Elimination is whoever came last in one round cannot compete in the next. With points, let's say Peridot won one round, she gets a point but if Garnet won in the next she gets a point, at the end whoever with the most points win. I think I would prefer one of those over the normal Olympic way" Stardust told.

Amethyst shrugged "Your choice, I think Points would be more fair and last longer". "Good point, in that case I choose Points" Stardust gleefully said. Amethyst nodded and wrote that down.

She exited the room and was greeted by Pearl who was a little less suspicious. "Where is Garnet?" Stardust asked, Pearl pointed towards the door to outside, Stardust went that way and walked to the beach and saw her sitting "Hey G what are you doing on the beach?" She yelled out. "Watching birds..." Stardust hopped onto her shoulder and climbed onto her head. "Are you able to make Pearl and Amethyst fuse?" She asked her. "No, it's their choice to fuse, we cannot force them" Garnet replied.

Stardust sighed, jumped off her head and went into the house and saw both Pearl and Amethyst chatting she heard them talk. "Amethyst! I swear if I see any suspicious stuff in your room I am tell-" Pearl was interrupted by Stardust greeting "Hey you two both!" She shouted. She got nervous by their looks and there was awkward silence. "Pearl... can I see what your room looks like?" She asked. Pearl nodded and sighed "Only because you can swim" she walked to the door and her gemstone blew and a door opened the two went inside. It was a large pool like area with large pillars of water. Pearl stepped above the water, seemingly walking on an invisible platform above the water. Stardust quickly jumped but hit the water and swam back up.

"How are you Doing that?" She asked Pearl smiled "Well, I am a gem" She replied, Stardust giggled a little playfully.
