The three gems, Stardust, Connie and Lion were on a nice hill with lots of flowers. They were relaxing and chatting. Stardust approached Garnet with a question "can gems get injured or die?" Stardust asked "No, our-" Garnet was interrupted by a loud shriek in the distance. Everyone looked around.

"What was that?" Amethyst wondered. Then a large like creature with a gem on it's forehead ran over to them, it seemed to be a large black bird, it's gem on it's head was a dark purple colour. No one saw that type of gemstone before. The creature ran towards the group, It was fast, everyone was able to dodge in time when it ran towards them. Everyone got ready to fight, Garnet knew it would be too dangerous for Stardust.

"Connie, Protect Stardust" Garnet told her. She nodded and hugged Stardust tightly in her arms and ran to hide behind a large tree, the lightfury was complaining that she wanted to watch the fight. The gems kept trying to hit it but missed each time. "Careful!, her wings are sharp!" Garnet shouted. The other two understood and avoided the wings. Amethyst attempted to tie it up with her whip but was shaken off. Garnet went to punch it but was almost hit by the wing. The creature roared and saw Pearl with her spear. They both ran towards each other.

Pearl ran towards the monster with her spear, the creature ran towards her with her wings spread out. Stardust got out of the hiding place and watched. When she spotted Pearl she yelled "Pearl look out!".

Pearl got distracted and almost tripped, the bird's wing cut through her torso there was then a poof of white clouds, her gemstone fell to the ground. Amethyst tied the bird up and Garnet quickly poofed it with her weapon. Stardust watched in shock, Stardust ran towards them Connie tried to stop her.

"Star wait!" Connie shouted. Stardust ran towards the pearl on the ground "No, no, no,..." She was in disbelief. Garnet kneeled next to her and put her hand on her, Stardust was hugging the gemstone in her claws. "She's going to be alright... her form was badly hurt she should be back soon" Garnet confronted her. Stardust nodded she understood.

Amethyst bubbled the monster's gemstone and sent it away to the bubble room. The group walked to the warp pad, Stardust was on Garnet's head hugging the gemstone tightly. They warped back to the house. Garnet lowered Stardust to the ground, she quickly climbed a table and carefully placed the gemstone on the table. Stardust curled up next to the gemstone and started to talk to it, "Pearl, I don't know if you can hear me in there but... I am sorry I distracted you" She cuddled it "Are you angry?" She asked. "I can make up for it".

A day later...

Garnet was sitting on the floor, Stardust approached her, she wanted to ask a question. "Garnet... I have a question" Stardust told her "Go ahead" Garnet replied. Star climbed to her shoulder "Why do you wear glasses all the time? Are you blind or somthing?" Stardust asked as she put her claws on it. "No..." Garnet replied as she softly moved her claw.

Stardust climbed up to the top of her hair and hang down putting a claw on her glasses. "You're gonna slip..." Garnet told her. She slipped and accidentally caused Garnet's glasses to fall off, she landed in her lap. She smiled at the glasses she help them in her claws. "Hah! Challenge comple- Oh My Gosh!" She looked up to see three eyes looking at her. "You have three eyes!?" Stardust asked in surprise.

"Yep!" She replied. Stardust giggled "That's awsome!" Pearl's gemstone started to glow, she started to form and then land on the table, she was no different from before. She looked at Stardust and Garnet with a smile. "Hey Pearl!, Garnet has three eyes!" She shouted happily. Pearl giggled a little "We know" Amethyst came running out of her room with excitement "Hey Stardust... oh, I will tell you later, hey Pearl!".

Stardust put her claw on one of Garnet's hands "Hmmm..." She looked underneath it and saw the red gemstone "One on this hand..." She looked under her other hand "And one on this one too" then she looked at Amethyst and Pearl "And I have only seen one gemstone each on those two..." Then she looked at Garnet who was putting her glasses back on "Hey... why do you have two gems?" She asked.

Garnet smiled "I would tell you but I thought you would like to have a mystery to solve" Stardust was happy "I would love to have a mystery to solve!". "Pearl!, Star's reaction to you being poofed was similar to Steven's" Amethyst said proudly. "Pearl, does being poofed hurt? What does it fell like?" Stardust asked looking at her. "Well..." Pearl said. "I am sorry I distracted you in the battle and you poofed" Stardust apologized.

Pearl smiled "It's okay, it was an accident" she patted the dragon, "When will I be able to fight?" Stardust asked "When you discover your powers if you have any". Stardust sighed

Stardust was now alone with Amethyst, Garnet and Pearl went to look for anymore of those creatures. "I found a good place for the Running, Swimming and Climbing events and I have objects perfect for the others" Amethyst said proudly. "Okay that's great!". They both got onto the warp pad and warped to a large field, it was mostly flat grassy ground and had a large calm lake, there was also a tall mountain nearby. They approached the lake "Don't worry, it's safe" Amethyst said as she shape shifted into a seal and swam in it to show her. Stardust smiled.

They walked to the mountain "So this is where they will climb?" Stardust asked, Amethyst nodded "And it's challenging and long". Stardust was proud. "So where will they run?" She asked? "I will set up some flags and stuff for that". They warped Back home just before the other two gems did. "Where have you been?" Pearl asked. "It's a surprise!" Amethyst said defensively.
