Stardust led the gems to a mountain with a flat top. Everyone approached the mountain and held on the rocks. "There is a flag on the top, first one up brings the flag down, you may start climbing... Now!" Stardust shouted.

The gems started to climb, Amethyst was in the lead but Garnet was quickly catching up. Pearl was also going quickly. They kept climbing until the top was in sight. "Garnet, you can go faster than that?" Pearl said. Pearl managed to overtake her and caught up the Amethyst, after a bit of climbing they heard someone slip and fall a little, Amethyst and Pearl were next to each other however Amethyst touched the top first, she pulled herself up and grabbed the flag and shouted "I won!".

"Third place is Peridot" "What!?" Pearl interrupted "I slipped and Peridot overtook me" Garnet told her. "Second is Pearl and First is Amethyst!" Amethyst wrote down the points.

"Sprinkles": 3

They all were now on the beach. "Everyone gets a point!, You will be in groups of two, you have one hour to create an amazing sand castle, powers are not allowed. In one hour I want everyone to stand behind that line, if I see anyone at the sand castles when I come to judge your group will be disqualified" The gems nodded "The groups are, Lapis and Garnet, Sprinkles and Amethyst, Pearl and Peridot, the second I get into the house you will start and I will not watch you." Stardust left into the house and the groups started to collect sand.

Lapis and Garnet were getting along, they were treating it gently. Peridot and Pearl were arguing a little.

A bit of time passed, Lapis and Garnet's was high up, it resembled a volcano Lapis can collected shells to put on it. Lapis sprayed some water in the opponent's faces and giggled a bit. Peridot and Pearl's was rounded and resembled a big rock, it had many cracks and broken parts, Peridot kicked it in anger, she wanted to make a castle but they failed. Pearl fixed the cracks and holes with sand while scolding Peridot for kicking it.

Amethyst's resembled more of a castle, it resembled a high tower in the middle along with thick walls around it. It even had a moat. Peridot was a bit jealous so she ran around to collect some shells too, she collected some and rushed back but she tripped and crashed into her sandcastle breaking it. Pearl was unhappy Peridot brushed the sand from her skin. They quickly pushed the sand together. Peridot pushed some sand into the shape of her gemstone, Pearl watched her and had an idea on what she was doing so she pushed some sand into the shape of her own gemstone. Peridot decorated hers with bits of seaweed and other green plants she could find while Pearl decorated hers with mostly-white seashells. The hour was now up, the groups walked behind the line. Stardust inspected the sand castles.

The first one was a sand castle that resembled a big volcano there were seashells scattered over. she was impressed by this one she moved to the tower with walls and a moat, the tower was high and there were patterns drawn. She moved to the last one, she smiled "how unique" she complimented.

"Third place is the volcano" Lapis sighed at that "Second place is the gemstones" Peridot sighed, she thought it looked the best. First place is the Tower"

Amethyst was proud, she wrote the points. Stardust was annoyed at Bismuth and told her "the flaws were possibly made by you".

"The next event is..." Everyone was excited "an search challenge... whatever you call them" Stardust happily led them to the warp pad, they warped to another field with many trees. Each of the gems were given a basket "Okay there are Thirty tennis balls hidden in this field. Find them and bring them here" The gems nodded.

Lapis flew around looking for the tennis balls. Peridot found one in a small hole and put it in her basket. Garnet looked for them, she didn't use her future vision because she knew that would be cheating. Twenty minutes had passed and everyone had found a few. Peridot walked under a few trees. She the felt one hit her in the face, she looked around and decided it had fell from it's hiding spot, she put it in her basket and continued to search. It started to rain a little, Lapis found one in a puddle she looked into the sky and saw dark clouds. The clouds started to get darker and the rain started to get heavier, thunder was heard so everyone ran to the warp pad and warped back home. The balls were counted.

"Okay, looks like all thirty were found" Stardust said, she then started to count them in the baskets "Third place is Amethyst, Second is.. grrr Sprinkles... and First is Peridot" Amethyst wrote down the points happily.

"The final event is..." Everyone got excited "Horse racing" There were a few sighs. "If you are wondering where we get the horses from I have a few horse friends, Amethyst warp us there!" The gem smiled, everyone got onto the warp pad. They were at a valley at the bottom of a high mountain. Six horses came over to them "You guys ready?" Stardust asked the, the horses nodded. "Find your race partner that is the most suitable".

There were two Clydesdale, Garnet chose the light brown one with a darker brown mane/tails, Bismuth chose the white grey one with a blond mane/tail.

The rest were thoroughbred horses. Peridot chose one that was a very light orange colour and a blond mane. Lapis chose a black one, Pearl chose a white one and Amethyst chose a brown one with black mane and tail. "If you don't know how to ride a horse, I have read books and watched vids so I will tell you" Stardust spent a few minutes explaining horses to the gems.

All the horses stood in a line. "You will race the horses up a trail to the top of that mountain and back down, and came back here... start no!" Stardust told them. The horses trotted as fast as they could. It was a very nice view. The gems held on tight to their manes, it took a while to reach the top. "Uh this is a race so... race you down!" Amethyst shouted as she made her Horse go faster p, everyone else went after her also racing. The horses ran as fast as they could.

The way down was a little bumpy. Lapis lost grip and fell off her horse. Everyone kept racing as Lapis got back on and tried to catch up. Peridot's horse was in the lead, the finish line was in sight. The horses ran over the finish line, Bismuth fell off her horse as it stopped suddenly, Stardust laughed at her.

"Third place is... Pearl, Second place is... Peridot and First place..." Everyone looked at her intense and excited.

"Amethyst!", She was so happy, she wrote down the final points.

Later on the beach on sunset there were three platforms, one slightly higher than the other. "Welcome to the award ceremony, obviously only me and Amethyst know the winners so this will be... fun" Everyone was excited. The gems, Lion, Connie and Greg were sitting in chairs watching the ceremony.

"Alright in fifth place, with only four points is... Lapis, I am so sorry" Stardust clapped for her a bit "It's fine" Lapis said smiling. "In fourth place, you did a very good job... Pearl" Pearl smiled, she didn't mine loosing.

"In third place, you were really great... Garnet!" Stardust was proud, everyone clapped. She stepped on the lowest platform.

"In second place... Peridot! You were amazing" Peridot made happy noises as she ran to the platform "I knew it" She said in joy.

"In First place... One of them were amazing but the other... not really... Amethyst and Sprinkles!". Everyone clapped and cheered as they both got on the middle platform. "Alright I promise I will give the winners their prizes!" Stardust said.
