Prompt: Fireworks
Leon's POV
"Leon." My boyfriend was whining slightly as his entire face was flushed red. Sweat dripped down on his face and he held his empty water bottle like gold.
"We're almost here Em, it's just up this grassy hill."
"We have been walking all day, can we take a break?"
"Not until we get there!" The hot sun was setting after blow-torching the world for about ten hours. It was all going to be worth it soon however.
"Come with me you said, It'll be fun you said." Emil grumbled as he sat beneath a tree. I picked him up and carried him into the cold stream as he protested wildly. I just held him to my chest in the water as I felt a cherry blossom land on my nose.
"Idiot, you have a flower on your nose." I smirked and rubbed my nose against his nose. He just buried his head into my neck. I could feel his lungs expanding as he breathed. His intoxicating scent of licorice, sweat, and pine drew me in, closer to him. I looked up at the sky as the fireworks were about to start.
"Snowflake, look up." He opened hiss eyes and we saw the fist tester go into the sky and explode in dazzling shades of green. He gasped and held on to me as I scooted out of the water with him in my arms.
"Thanks my precious panda." We cuddled in the cooling evening and I smiled at him. His eyes were half closed and pale lips upturned in a sweet smile.
"Are you ready to go Icy?"
"Ja, thanks again Leon." We held hands and walked back through the moonlit meadow.
