Chapter 4: A Sacrifice

Fenton's glare had not soften as he watched Akita walk towards his daughter, who was trapped in a robots grasp. She struggled and her voice was muffled as Akita chuckled.

"That was very clever of your parents, using the time tub. So unfortunate that you had to come alone." Akita mused.

"Leave her alone!" Fenton growled. "Or else..."

"Or else what?" Akita asked. "You'll fight my robots? They have already memorized your fighting strategy from the future. You are powerless against them."

"Let her go Akita!" Huey cried.

"Yeah, She didn't do anything to you!" Boyd added.

"Ah, 2BO, it's been so long since I have seen you in this form. Sorry, but Maria could have destroyed the future I have created. I had no choice but to capture her before she messed with time." Akita said with fake remorse as he took off Maria's bracelets and necklace, tossing them on the ground.

"You're not creating a future, you're destroying it!" Beakley cried.

"That's merely from your point of view." Akita shrugged. Black Heron then appeared and Gandra clenched her fists.

"Looks like our former Agent has turned traitor. So, how should we handle this?" She asked and Steelbeak shrugged.

"Eh, we only needed the girl. Dee can stay with Gizmodork if she wants, it's not like it'll end well for her anyway." He laughed and Gandra the rushed over, both gloves off and aimed them at Steelbeak, only for a robot to wrap cords around her and throw her against the wall.

"ARG!" She cried and attempted to get up, only to collapse.

"Gandra!" Fenton cried, running over to her, as Maria's eyes widened and she struggled against the bonds.

"All of this violence, so unnecessary." Akita mused, shaking his head.

"You, are a disgrace to science!" Gyro cried and everyone turned to him. "I should have never became your intern in the first place, and destroyed your reputation when I had the chance!"

"Wow, nerd insults. This got real." Louie gasped sarcastically.

"Oh please, you would not even be here if it weren't for my teachings." Akita said.

"That's not true. Gyro is a smart lad and I consider myself lucky to have him. Now release the young lass and we'll settle this." Scrooge demanded.

"You know, in the history of asking someone to let another person go, they never do!" Steelbeak laughed.

"You know, he has a point." Dewey commented.

"See, the blue kid believes me!" Steelbeak said.

"Hey, have we met before?" Dewey asked and Steelbeak winced.

"N-no."

"LET MY DAUGHTER GO!" Fenton yelled and suddenly tackled Steelbeak to the ground, surprising nearly everyone and Steelbeak struggled and tried to push Fenton off.

"Get off me you walking fridge!" He cried and Officer Cabrera then got madder.

"No one talks to my family like that!" She said darkly and rushed towards him. Beakley took this opportunity to grab Black Heron and pin her arm behind her back, while rocking the metal arm to be facing Heron's face.

"I've been waiting to this for a long time." She chuckled and Black Heron growled.

"Blathering Blather-" Fenton was cut off by a robot wrapping a cord around his beak, snapping it shut. Another cord tied him to his mother and they were lifted up.

"Sheesh, took you long enough." Steelbeak groaned, not noticing Texter climbing on the back of the robot. He undid a panel and ripped circuits out, causing the robot to collapse on the ground, releasing Maria and she fell to the ground and rushed to her jewelry, only for Akita to grab her arm and point a strange device at her.

"NO ONE MOVE!" He barked and the room frozen, all eyes on him.

"This device has a laser stronger than any bullet, so unless you want Maria to have a hole in the side of her head, I suggest you release my associate." He explained and Beakley reluctantly let Black Heron go, who huffed and walked back to the robots.

"Now, crush the hero." Akita ordered and the robots cords started to tighten around Fenton and Officer Cabrera.

"No! DADDY, ABULEA!" Maria cried and wrenched her hand out of Akita's grip and tried to hit the robot.

"Oh no you don't!" Akita then aimed his weapon and fired.

*BANG*

Maria turned around in horror and saw that Texter had a hole in his chest and she gasped in horror, falling to her knees and collapsed on her knees. Texter looked up slowly to her and walked over to her slowly. His screen was static and he crossed his arms over his chest before shutting off and falling to the ground.

"No...Texter...no!" She cried and tears streamed down her face. He was all she had left. He couldn't be gone! He was her best friend! She couldn't loose him like she did her parents! Boyd felt the urge to grip Gyro's hand as his eyes never left Texter or Maria.

"Oh well, at least I got one of you." Akita shrugged and Maria slowly stood up, a dark shadow over her eyes as she wiped her tears away.

"Let my family go, leave them alone and let them live out their future, and I'll give you my time tub." Maria deadpanned, the emotion gone from her voice.

"Oh, and why would you have such a chance of heart?" Akita asked.

"I failed in my mission, I've made things worse, so all I can do is give them their lives that the deserve to live." Maria explained. "I surrender, you can even use the time tub to erase me from going back in time from warning them, all I ask is that you leave them alone. I know how this ends up, they'd be better off if I hadn't shown up."

"No Maria, that's not true!" Boyd denied and Gyro stopped him from going towards her.

"Don't do it!" The triplets cried.

"Are you crazy, get back here!" Della ordered, but Akita smirked and snapped his fingers. The robots dropped Fenton and his mom, both gasped for breath and Fenton turned to Maria.

"No! Don't go Maria!" He pleaded, holding the side of his chest, but Akita then aimed his gun at the back of her head and Fenton stopped in place.

"I believe Maria can speak for herself." He said and took the time tub from off her back. "Oh don't worry, once I use this, everyone here will forget what happened and you'll go one with your lives. She's doing you a favor really."

"NO!" Fenton cried and Gandra suddenly stirred and saw Maria at gun point.

"No...let her go!" She grunted and slowly got up Maria then had tears in her eyes.

"Mommy, Daddy, I'm sorry, but I know you'll be happy together. I love you." She said, giving a sad smile as Akita dragged her to a robot along with Steelbeak and Black Heron.

"Hey, we don't have to break Phantom out of prison now!" Steelbeak laughed as Heron rolled her eyes and they got onto the robot, which was now a giant hover craft and the others could only watch helplessly as Maria was taken and the device then rocketed away.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Fenton cried out in horror. He collapsed on his knees and slammed his fist down.

"We can't let him erase our time! We just can't!" Boyd cried and Fenton then stood up.

"We won't." He said.

"What do you mean? How are we supposed to stop them?" Louie asked and Fenton turned to them.

"My daughter risked her life to save us, and we are going to finish what she started."

"The Third Eye Diamond. We destroy that, Akita would have never created his army." Huey gasped.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Gandra cried and Fenton smiled at her.

"Let's go save our future!" Scrooge exclaimed and the others cheered. Fenton then turned back to where Maria was taken.

"Hang on Maria, please don't give up just yet." He pleaded and walked over to where her bracelets and necklace were thrown and picked them up.

"I'm coming."

I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG, I REALLY HOPE IT TURNED OUT OKAY!

This was mostly just a filler to the epic battle at the end. Which is gonna be awesome, trust me! I've been planning it out for a while.

As for me, my air conditioning broke, our house got super heated, we have to buy a new one instead of fixing our current one, and on top of all that, one of my family members got stuck in the bathroom for nearly an hour.
