Hiraki and Serena are childhood friends and have deflected from Academia after learning its true goals. However, Hiraki has presumably been taken away by them after losing a duel. To save him, the Lancers have to make their way to the Fusion Dimension but this will be no easy task due to the Unifiers of Chaos standing in their way, pursuing the 2 remaining Dimensional girls.

Chapter 43
The Paper Plant

"Wendy! Stop running! You're going too fast!" Evan was doing his best to keep up with the hyper girl but was failing incredibly at it.

"Come on, Evan." She stopped, hands on her hips."We gotta get moving if we want our plan to succeed."

"I know, I know." Evan said putting his hand against the wall, accidentally activating something."But we're going to wear ourselves out if we ke-"

"Evan!" Wendy rushed over to him and pushed him out of the way before the falling gate could crush him. Evan landed on his back, groaning as he stood up. With a gasp, he went over to the bar.

"Damn it!" Evan banged on the bars."How could this happen? That was certainly..."

"...Bad luck." Wendy finished for hi, not believing what had happened."No time to dwell on the matter. Let's keep going on our end and find a way to meet up again."

"Wait, wait for me!" Evan tried deactivating the security system with his Duel Disk."No use. We've been locked out of it. I'll have to find a way to go around. You wait there for me in the meantime, okay? I'm serious, Wendy. We can't lose you now."

"I know." She nodded slowly, giving him a gentle smile."We're a team, remember? And you're my bodyguard now so, might as well do your work."

Evan snorted, allowing himself a small smirk."I'll find you." He disappeared into the distance as he ran in hopes of finding another route. Wendy's smile disappeared.

"Sorry, Evan. But I have to do this on my own." Wendy clenched her fists tightly.

"A noble thing for you to do, Wendy." A cocky voice spoke from behind her."Which is very out of character of you."

Wendy carefully turned around, praying to whatever god there was that the person behind her wasn't him. She hoped that it wouldn't come to this. Not this soon. As she carefully set her eyes on her visitor, her worst fears became true."Yuri..."

"You have some nerve, Wendy. Coming here all alone. And back to the lion's den." Yuri said with a mischievous smile."I heard what happened. All of your Unifiers losers were wiped out and now turned on the Professor. Who is the loser now?" Yuri laughed at that, holding onto his stomach."If only Yuke were here! I wanted to see him act all tough!"

'He's so deranged...' She clutched her chest."Yuri...I came for you. I came to get you out of here. This place isn't safe anymore and never was."

"Is that so? And what's so dangerous that I should be worried about?" Yuri feigned ignorance."I think the only dangerous thing here is me. Now that your little group has been destroyed, I am back to being the strongest in Academia!"

"Yuri! I'm afraid that if you keep going, you won't be able to come back any more!" Wendy pleaded."Please! I'm sorry for treating you the way I did! But I was being used! We all were!"

"And you were being manipulated when you ditched?" Yuri's voice became colder and sinister."When you suddenly left that night without saying a word to me. Were you being manipulated then?"

"I-I-I...that's..."

"I've heard enough of your excuses. I plan to follow my orders and that what I'll do." Yuri activated his Duel Disk."I'll take you to the Professor!"

Wendy clicked her tongue, activating her Duel Disk as well."No choice then!"

"Duel!"

Yuri vs. Wendy LP: 4000 each

"Ladies first." Yuri bowed mockingly."I'm sure you got a lot in your mind right now, so why don't you use this time to get it over with?"

"Fine! My turn! From my hand, I summon Origami Elephant in attack mode!"

Origami Elephant Level 4, Light, Fairy, ATK: 1500, DEF: 1200

"I activate its effect! I can add an "Origami" card from my Deck to my hand! I set a card and end my turn!"

Yuri snickered."Really? That's all? You're being awfully defensive, Wendy. That's so unlike you, you know? Well then, if you wanna start slow, I'll have to pick up the pace! My turn! I draw! I think I'll do something similar to you. I activate the Spell Card, Predapractice! I Special Summon Predaplant Predaplant Flytrap from my hand!"

Predaplant Flytrap Level 2, Dark, Plant, ATK: 400, DEF: 800

"Furthermore, I can add a "Predaplant" card from my Deck to my hand!" Yuri smiled viciously."Flytrap's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster you control and add 1 "Predator Counter" to it! Also, if it's above level 2, it becomes a Level 1!"

Origami Elephant Level 1

"Battle! Go, Flytrap! Takedown that piece of paper in front of us!"

"Not so fast, Yuri! I activate the Trap Card, Paper Storm! I can banish all monsters on the field until the end phase and neither of us takes damage! I then draw cards equal to the number of monsters removed!" Both monsters disappeared in an instant, leaving the field empty.

"That was a nice play." Yuri continued smirking."You knew I would do my Flytrap combo, so that's why you didn't summon anything else on your turn. I suppose all I can do now is just set two cards and end my turn."

Yuri hand: 3

Wendy hand: 6

"I'll go now! I draw! It's time to finally get down to business! I activate the Ritual Spell, Origami Shower! I tribute the level 5 Origami Leo from my hand in order to Ritual Summon!" A rain of paper began swirling around the field as it began to assemble together in the middle of it."Guardian of the gates of hell turned into paper! With your powerful sense of loyalty and fierce determination, take the key to the gate! Ritual Summon! Go, Level 5! Origami Cerberus!"

A red-colored paper dog with three heads appeared on the field.

Origami Cerberus Level 5, Light, Fairy, Ritual, ATK: 2100, DEF: 2000

"I activate Cerberus's effect! Binding Chains!" Flytrap was suddenly held together by paper chains, unable to move from its spot."Now, even if my monster is destroyed, any card that shares the name of your card will not be able to activate their effects until the duel ends!"

Yuri spat at the floor, frustrated."So, that's your secret weapon?"

"And if you know what's good for you, you'd keep your little dragon off the field!" She threatened with a condescending smirk."I won't let you use Starve Venom's effect to win this duel, Yuri! I activate this, the Continous Spell, Battle Charge! I target a monster on my field with this card!"

"What does that card do?" Yuri asked, amused.

"My monster can use its effect a total of 3 times, at any time." She said with a grin."Normally, Cerberus' effect can only be used once, but with this card, that changes."

"Oh, my. You've got quite the strategy working in your favor. I guess all that's left is attacking me?"

"Don't be stupid." Wendy said, putting a hard on her hip."I've prepared this nicely for me to just screw it up by attacking. I know you have something planned with those face-downs."

"And you thought well. Well, almost. I activate my face-down Trap Card! Predator Instincts! I can activate this card when my opponent control's a monster that was Special Summoned! It allows me to add another "Predaplant" card from my Deck to my hand. That's one down, will you take the risk?"

Wendy bit her lower lip. She wanted to win the duel, but what if that wasn't enough? On one hand, she had a powerful enough monster-

"Do it, do it, do it, do it!" Yuri began chanting like a child.

On the other hand, Yuri was very crafty. Even if he exposed one trap he had, what if the other one-

"Do it, do it, do it, do it ,do it!" Yuri was getting louder and louder.

If the other one was a trap, then all her efforts would go to waste. If he brought Starve Venom-

"DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO-"

"FUCK! ATTACK!" Wendy snapped, ordering her monster to go. Cerberus jumped in the air, opening its 3 jaws to tear Flytrap to pieces.

"Yes! Marvelous, Wendy! That's my favorite girl in the whole world! From my hand, I Special Summon Predaplant Wendigo in DEF mode! I can Special Summon it when a monster you control declares battle on a monster on my field with lower ATk!"

A zombie-looking plant appeared on the field, extending its sharp claws and catching Cerberus, throwing it back.

"It cannot be destroyed by battle as long as it's in DEF mode. Don't worry though, your monster is spared. However, now I have two monsters on the field. You know what's coming, don't you?"

"Yeah? You think I'm scared?" Wendy put on a bravado."Bring it! I set two cards and end my turn!"

Wendy hand: 1

"Oh, Wendy. That's what I adore about you." Yuri chuckled."It's a pity, you know? I thought I had finally found the true meaning of life with you around me. But I guess I was wrong."

"It's not too late to change that and make it a reality." Wendy said with a gentle smile."Please, Yuri. I'm sorry for abandoning you. It really broke my heart too, you know? But I was tired of this life. I was tired of carding people and just duel them to prove superiority.:

"And you did all of that just to end up a murder regardless." Yuri pointed out, unamused."Honestly, you keep talking a big game and yet you became the very thing you were trying to avoid."

"That was different!" She quickly countered."I was forced to! They kidnapped us! Evan, Ace, and I! I never wanted any of this!"

"I've heard enough out of you." Yuri scowled, putting his hand on top of his Deck."My turn! I draw! I activate the Spell Card, Double Fusion! By paying 500 LP, I can perform a Polymerization twice! I first fuse the Predaplant Wendigo and the Predaplant Flytrap on my field!" As both monstered entered a multicolored-vortex, Yuri began chanting.

"Dangerous plant that is born from the earth that we stand on! Fill this world with the power and beauty of your being! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 7! Predaplant Chimeraflessia!"

Predaplant Chimeraflessia Level 7, Dark, Plant, Fusion, ATK: 2500, DEF: 2000

"Next, I activate Wendigo's effect in my graveyard! I can Special Summon it on the field when performing a fusion summon! Now, due to Double Fusion's effect, I can Fusion Summon once more! Dragon formed from the appealing sight of carnivorous plants! Feast upon those who defy the power of the predator! Fusion Summon! Come, level 8! Predaplant Dragostapelia!"

Predaplant Dragostapelia Level 7, Dark, Plant, Fusion, ATK: 2700, DEF: 1900

"What in the world...is that...?"

"A new monster of mine.: Yuri shrugged, admiring the new monster on his field."I activate its effect!"

"I won't let you! I activate Cerberus' effect! I target your monster and it won't activate its effect until the duel is over!"

"Very smart, Wendy." Yuri clapped mockingly."If you hadn't used that effect, my monster would have placed Predaplant Counters on your monster, which would negate your monster's effect. Still though. You only have one shot left. That is if you survive this! Battle! I attack Cerberus with Dragostapelia! Reactor Zero!" The dragon plant began charging up an orange ball of energy.

"I activated my Trap Card! Twister of Doubt! I target Origami Elephant and send it to the graveyard in order to Ritual Summon a monster from my Deck that has double its level! Appear, Origami Typhon!"

A large paper centipede appeared on the field, coiling around.

Origami Typhon Level 8, Light, Fairy, Ritual, ATK: 2400, DEF: 1000

"When this monster is Ritual SUmmoned, I gain LP equal to the ATK of the strongest monster on the field! That would be your Dragostapelia!"

Wendy LP: 4000+2700= 6700

"However, you are forced to attack my monster." Wendy braced herself for the impact, shrieking in pain once the attack created a shockwave and almost knocked her off her feet.

Wendy LP: 6300

"Cute. I was starting to think it was odd you hadn't found a way to increase your LP. I didn't want you to rely too much on that monster on yours." Yuri said between laughs."I mean...really. Oh, well. I set a card and end my turn."

"My turn! Draw! I activate Pot of Greed! It allows me to draw 2 new cards from my Deck." Wendy examined her current hand and Yuri's field. She still had 2 set cards of his to worry about."When I control at least 2 "Origami" Ritual Monster on my field, I can Special Summon this! Come, Origami Tortoise!"

A giant turtle made of green paper appeared on the field, hiding within its shell.

Origami Tortoise Level 7, Light, Fairy, ATK: 0, DEF: 3000

"I activate Tortoise's effect! I can equip it to my Cerberus and use its shell as an extra shield!" The turtle disappeared into paper, leaving its remains to fuse together with Cerberus, creating a shell on its back."Thanks to this, if my monster were to be destroyed once by attack or card effect, it is not! Furthermore, it gains 300 ATKs!"

Origami Cerberus ATK: 2400

"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Equal Production! When I control two monsters with equal ATK on my field, I gain LP equal to their ATK!"

Wendy LP: 6300+2400= 7700

"Next, due to the second effect, my monster's ATKs can be doubled during battle phase. So even if you get Starve Venom out and plan to attack me with it, you're finished!"

"Very, very nice!" Yuri clapped in glee, much to her shock."You've certainly improved in some aspects. Though you not being as fierce and reckless as you were before is kind of a bummer. Oh well."

"Shut up! Battle! I attack your stupid Dragostapelia with Cerberus! Triple Ignite!" The paper dog fired three fireballs at the dragon.

"At this moment, I activate my Trap Card, Predaplant Investment! I target all monsters on your field and all of them get a "Predaplant Counter" added to them! But that's not my true intentions, see. I activate my Trump Card! My set-down Quick-Play Spell, Predation Unification!"

"WHAT?!" Wendy gasped in fear, taking a few steps back."It can't be! This can't be happening!"

"I can use one monster I control on my field as well as well as a monster that has "Predaplant Counter!"

"I activate my Trap Card, Merka Shield! I can target a monster I control and make it unable to be targetted by monster effects or card effects!"

"Big deal." Yuri snorted."I'll just use that Typhon of yours!" Both Dragostepelia and Typhon entered a multicolored vortex as Yuri began to chant."Two beautiful flowers with a deadly alluring fragrance! Join together and create a new terror from the hell that lies beneath your petals! Come forth, poisonous dragon with deadly fangs! Level 8! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!"

Starve Venom Fusion Dragon Level 8, Dark, Dragon, Fusion, ATK: 2800, DEF: 2000

"Ha!" Wendy cackled triumphantly."I got you now, sucker! I activate Cerberus' effect one last time!" With that, the continuous spell broke into pieces."With it, Starve Venom has its effects negated permanently! I shot don your strongest card, Yuri! Now please! Listen to me!"

Yuri simply smiled."Predation Unification's second effect activates. I banish a fusion monster in my Graveyard to Special Summon a "Predaplant" monster from my Deck! Appear, Predaplant Komodo!"

A monster resembling a Komodo dragon appeared on the field, moving its vine-made claws.

Predaplant Komodo Level 2, Dark, Plant, ATK: 1000, DEF: 400

"When Komodo is Special Summoned on the field, I can immediately Fusion Summon using monster I control on my field!" Yuri's eyes began glowing purple as his smirk grew."It's time! The fun has just...BEGUN!"

"Yuri! STOP!"

Starve Venom and Komodo went flying inside of the multicolored vortex as Yuri began to chant."Carnivorous dragon that can't be satiated by the presence of weaklings! Use your insatiable hunger to take over everything in your path! Fusion Summon! APpear, Level 10! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!"

Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon Level 10, Dark, Dragon, Fusion, ATK: 3300, DEF: 2500

"Oh my god..." Wendy covered her mouth."Yuri...what is that...monstrosity? It can't be...Starve Venom..."

"You are damn right, it isn't. After Yuke defeated me, I knew I had to step up my game, majorly. It led to Starve Venom evolving and reaching greater heights! This is the power that not even the Unifiers of Chaos would ever overcome!"

"I resume my attack! CERBERUS!" Wendy was getting frustrated so she pressed on."Due to Tortoise's effect, Cerberus' ATK double!"

Origami Cerberus ATK: 4800

Greedy Venom was consumed by the flames, shrieking in pain as it was incinerated.

Yuri LP: 2500

"I did it!" Wendy said with a smile, breathing heavily.

"Did what, exactly?" Yuri seemed unfazed.

"But...I..." Wendy was perplexed."I destroyed it!"

"You did. But there's more to Greedy Venom's effect than that. Allow me to show you!" A puddle of purple toxic appeared where Greedy Venom died."When Greedy Venom is destroyed, all monsters on the field are destroyed, then those monsters' controllers take damage equal to the original ATK of those monsters!" Two streams of toxic came out of the puddle, causing a shockwave that sent Wendy crashing against a wall violently.

"However, due to that Tortoise's effect, your monster isn't destroyed this once. And according to my Duel Disk, Tortoise is sent to the Graveyard, setting your monster's ATKs back to normal.

Origami Cerberus ATK: 2100

Wendy LP: 5600

"I'll have you know, I can banish a monster material from the Graveyard, and Special Summon Greedy Venom back on the field. I'll banish Komodo! Appear once more! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon!"

Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon Level 10, Dark, Dragon, Fusion ATK: 3300, DEF: 2500

"So, that's it? Is there really no saving you..." Wendy's eyes began to tear up."Is there nothing I can do to turn you back now...?"

Yuri stared at her, his face completely blank of expression."It has to be done."

"I see...I end my turn..." Wendy said, sobbing."I'm sorry...I'm sorry, Yuri..."

"My turn. I draw." Yuri said quietly, his hand freezing midway."I have to do this in order to be the strongest. Greedy Venom's effect activates! I target Cerberus and set its ATKs to zero! Also, its effects are completely negated!"

Origami Cerberus ATK: 0

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Greedy Bond. I can activate this card only after using Greedy Venom's first effect. It gains ATK equal to the ATK of the monster whose effects were negated. Plus, an additional 500 if Starve Venom is in my graveyard."

Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon ATK: 3300+2100= 5400+500= 5900

"Battle! Go, Greedy Venom! End this duel! And we will be one step forward in becoming one!"

"Becoming...one?" Wendy muttered before being hit by Greedy Venom's tail, sending her crashing against the floor and knocking her unconscious.

Wendy LP: 0

Winner: Yuri

Yuri walked up to the fallen orange-hair girl, picking her up in bridal style."Soon enough this will all be over. And when it is...I'll come back for you, my love. I won't hand you to the Doktor, but I will be handing you to the Professor. Whatever he needs you for is important. So, help us help you, Wendy."

"You know, we've looked everywhere." Kumai was whining again."Seriously, how long do we have to walk? Why can't we just storm to the Professor's room and just beat the fuck out of him?"

"Even if we do, we have to worry about finding Serena first." Yuke glared at Kumai."A little patience surely would suit you a little more."

"Oh, shut up!" Kumai groaned."You're boring so being bored is everyday stuff for you! I, on the other hand, need action! Because I'm that awesome!"

"Hush, you two." Hiraki quickly shut them up."I can't hear my thoughts with the two of you talking in my head. And I hear footsteps."

"You're right." Yuke put his palm where he assumed Kumai's mouth was."It sounds like they're going the opposite direction of this corridor. Slowly peek in to see who they are."

Hiraki did as he was told and used his health skills to quietly move over to the wall and peak slowly. What he saw left him speechless.

"That's-"

There, a indigo-hair girl was making her way through the empty halls of Academia.

"Serena..." Hiraki took a step forward.

"Don't" Yuke grabbed his hand, forcing Hiraki to be inside of his mind."It must be a trap. Remember what Ace said. The Doktor is manipulating Rin and Ruri. If he got his hands on Serena, it's plausible that he is doing the same to her."

"I know but...but...I have to go." Hiraki wrestled his hand out of Yuke's grip and returned to normal."Serena!"

The girl stopped on her tracks, turning around with a puzzled expression."Who-"

"Serena! It's me! Hiraki!" Hiraki said as he ran over her.

"Hiraki...?" Serena gape, covering her mouth while tears formed in her eyes. She was engulfed in a hug from Hiraki who almost knocked both of them over due to how fast he was going."Is that really you?"

"Yeah..it's me..." Hiraki looked at her in the eyes, tears streaming down his face. He moved his head next to hers and began crying on her shoulder like a child would to a mother."I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry..."I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." He kept on repeating like a broken record as he continued sobbing, holding the girl, afraid that she would disappear. Serena returned the embrace, rubbing the back of his head gently.

"It's okay...I'm just glad you're okay..." Serena said tenderly.

Both of them stayed like that for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company and making up for all the time they had been apart.

"I'm sorry for the face, by the way." They finally released each other, but continued holding hands."Dr. Brueno said we needed more time for a surgery, so I'm stuck looking like Yuya for a bit more."

"I don't care what you look like. What matters is what's inside."

Hiraki chuckled at that."Look at you being sensible for once."

He yelped in pain after she hit him in the arm, glaring at him."Okay. I deserved that."

"Hiraki..." She began, getting closer to him."What you said back then...you meant it? That you loved me?"

Hiraki's face turned deep red but shook it off. He had to be a man now."Of course. I love you with all my might, Serena. That's why I came here. To rescue you."

"I've heard what couples are supposed to do." Serena continued, her face drawing near his."They are supposed to exchange a kiss on the lips. Should we do it?"

"Serena...?" Hiraki was taken back at the way she was talking."I-i-if you want..."

"Okay. But I'm going to need you to close your eyes and keep them shut." She ordered, Hiraki complying without question. She got closer and closer to the point where their noses rubbed against each other. But she stopped, leaning back."Why did you send me back here?"

"Huh?" Hiraki asked.

"If you loved me so much as you claim you do, why did you send me back here?"

"I...It was wrong of me. I know that I did that when I was Yuke, but overall, that's my fault."

"Yuke, huh?" A pause followed. Then a static noise began buzzing loudly. Hiraki opened his eyes and barely missed being electrocuted by a taser.

"Serena?!"

"You think you're so smart?" Serena said with a sinister smile."I know Hiraki has been dead for a long time now. You trying to trick me twice isn't going to work!" She threw herself at him, almost connecting her taser against his arm.

"Serena! It's me! Hiraki! I know you must be confused about this whole thing! As am I! But me and Yuke are sharing a body now and he's with us! Look at my eye!" He pointed at his one green eyes."I'm still m-" He quickly got out of the way before she would tase his eye. Hiraki was now dodging and blocking Serena's relentless attacks.

"Duel me, you coward! This time, it won't end up like last time!"

"Well, shit." Was all that Kumai said.

"Hiraki, you should disarm her." Yuke advised."Go for her arm and remove her taser."

Hiraki, however, ignored his words and continued backing away while Serena followed after him

"Damn, you guys got a party here."

Everyone who participated in the Battle Beast duel immediately turned to the sound of the voice. They were horrified to see a familiar blonde boy with a fedora making his way over to them.

"That's..." Jack narrowed his eyes, taking a step in front of Gongenzaka and Sawatari.

"He's one of the Unifiers of Chaos!" Sawatari unsheathed Tariko's blade."My Duel Disk might be busted, but I won't stay out of another fight like before!"

"I was powerless against BB..." But I won't make the same mistake again!"

The Battle Beast took a few steps back, alarmed by the newcomer.

"Relax. I'm not here to fight you, idiots." Ace waved his hands dismissively."I'm not part of chaos anymore. We sort of converted and now we fight for good and all that shit. You get the gist of it." He groaned in annoyance when he saw they didn't drop their guard."Look, Yuke is helping us out to storm Academia and fuck them up for good."

Again, he was met with silence. He facepalmed, rubbing the bridge of his nose."Hiraki. That's his actual name. Your boy Hiraki is with us and he's helping us out. You get it? Listen, you all believed in us when you dueled us respectively, right? Tariko, Tokomaru and the others told me about it."

"Tokomaru is okay?" Jack asked with hope in his eyes.

"Yeah. We're all fine and dandy." Ace allowed himself a small smirk."We're going to get back at the bitch who manipulated us this whole time. But got all got separated. Yuke, Wendy, Evan, and I managed to get here while the others stayed behind fighting off the Obelisk Force and the people from the Secondary Union who had gone missing."

"We have to go help them!" Gongenzaka exclaimed, clenching his fist."It's true that we were once enemies, but now we both have a common enemy. If your people need help, we will provide it for you."

"Sure thing. But your friend here is gonna need a new Duel Disk." Ace pointed at Sawatari."Hey you!" He called out to the Battle Beast."Toss me your Duel Disk. This guy is gonna need one."

The Battle Beast was done with fighting, so he gave up his Duel Disk without much of a complaint."Although it's programmed to card people. Use it at you may."

"Uh, no thanks." Sawatari cringed at the thought.

"Anyway, I have to get going." Ace back them his back as he began walking away.

"You are not coming with us?" Jack inquired, earning a shrug from the former villain.

"The Doktor is controlling the girls. The ones who look alike." He began without stopping."Someone has to go stop him if we want to free them. By the way, I see why Tariko gave you his sword." He looked over his shoulder."You and him are as much of stubborn bastards as one might think."

"Hey, what does that mean?!" Sawatari asked, annoyed at the comment.

Gongenzaka placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head."Leave him be. I guess that even if he is now free of chaos, he keeps his quirky attitude as always."

"Let us make haste." Jack turned to the remaining Obelisk students."Will you all help us make things right? Our new allies are in need of a hand."

Shun nodded back, before breaking into a sprint that did not go too far. He bumped into a familiar brown-haired boy and knocked him off his head, receiving the end of the taser Serena was wielding. Shun cried out in agony, collapsing on the floor, unconscious.

"Serena?! Yuke?!" Yuya was now on edge. Now he had 3 powerful foes in front of him.

Serena walked past Hiraki and Yuya, going over to where Ruri was.

"Long story." Hiraki said as he checked Shun's vitals."Bottom line is, you have the Unifiers of Chaos, now known as the Unifiers of Order, working along side you Lancers. Although, I guess I still count as one?"

"I got it!" Hiraki began jumping on platforms while Yuto was launched by Dark Rebellion up in the air. Before Hiraki could get one, he received a kick in the chest by Serena, sending him back to the ground.

"I activate the Action Card, Miracle! Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon is not destroyed and I take half the damage!" Yuto was sent flying against the wall, knocking him back to Yuya.

"Pfft! Was that really all you could do" Ruri chuckled loudly.

Serena shook her head with a similar smirk on her face."And here I thought you weren't so pathetic as before. Silly me."

Hiraki lowered his head in shame, feeling powerless as he once felt before.

"Why don't you tell him, dear?"

Serena took a step forward, spreading her arms."I defeated him. He was a nuisance after all. Just like you, Hiraki. It's too late to play a hero."

"No way..." Hiraki fell on his knees."How could you do that to him...he...he cared!"

"If that's the case, then where is Yuzu and Cody?!"

"Ah, of course, you'd wonder about that." The Doktor cackled."Cody was also taken care of while he tried to save Yuzu. He went down like a hero would so don't worry about that. As for Yuzu, I'm afraid you won't be able to meet her because you're about to rot away. However..." The image expanded, showing Yuzu looking at the screen without moving as the Doktor rubbed her cheek."...she's become my insect's captive." With that, the communication was cut off.

"Yuya! Wait! You'll kill them with something as powerful as that!" Hiraki begged but was not heard. He clicked his tongue and rushed over to where Serena was.

"Battle! Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon Attacks Directly! Destruction Burst of Rage!" The imponent dragon fired a powerful beam of energy that was surely enough going to pierce through the wall. Hiraki grabbed onto Serena and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry..." Hiraki shut his eyes, bringing her closer to him."Everything is going to be okay! Everything is-" His voice was drowned by the blast covering the three duelists that were unfortunate enough to stand in the middle of the blast. Hiraki could barely see the incoming wall as he was flying towards it. Before he could collide with it, everything had turned dark.
