Chapter one: Not a good day
The trees began to shake there leaves if they have seen a ghost flying by. It was a gusty wind huffing and puffing so hard. The earth below began to tremble to feel the wind blowing dust of dirt. It feels like a giant taking huge steps leaving footprints along the way. His cheeks were swelling of blowing air. Swinging both of his hands side to side knocking the trees as they bounce back and forth ready to destroy everything in his path.
Inuyasha was having a hard time taking an afternoon nap. Was it for the words he yelled at top of his lungs he didn't need her anymore to go back to her stupid world before kagome left? He was tossing and turning.
Shit, he murmured under his breath he got up taking a step outside sliding the door with a great force almost causing it to rumble into a pile of wood. He didn't recognize his own strength from all the fighting he has done over the years.
He stops for a moment turned around it's been four months since she left him with the help of Miroku he built his first home. Search high and low for the finest wood. Miroku knew him from head to toe how stubborn Inuyasha was to build that home. It was for her. He didn't care two cents if outside the weather was hot or rainy. If he was caught in a blizzard or lightning strike him. |There were days he ended up without eating or drinking. When sango found out she will scold him like a mother instead of a sister. That how Inuyasha saw her. He will imagine that was kagome screaming at him. Instead, he will give her a small growl continue working. Before sango left she pointed a finger towards him. I will cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner bring it to you and Miroku. I will be watching you Inuyasha. She left him continuing with his work. The days will turn into months he finally finishes his home. He slid the door wide open she was not there to consider it a home.
Inuyasha begins to run towards the well the wind was huffing and blowing sending him flying. He gives out a growl taking out his tessaiga to fight with this invisible force sending him flying again every time he took a step forward. Shit, he cursed under his breath he has never received this type of beating being tossed back and forth by this mighty force against the forest trees. He was lucky to survive without no broking bones. It will be nice if kagome was here to nurse him back to health. Just when he was about to take another step this mighty force push him causing him to roll down the path he always took to see her at the well
He shouted from the top of his lungs get the "fucked out of my way." Whoever was in his way. As he continues to roll down. Feeling dizzy from all the spinning. Receiving a couple of bumps along the way. Besides the bruises, he had received from being tossed from the invisible enemy. He was not a friendly one to give him a ticket go ahead take another step, I will not hurt you anymore.
By the time he got to the well, he looks up the sky was being painted by a mad painter using black paint with twinkling dots. His back hit the outside wall of the well. He saw how the trees were spinning in front of him. Closing his eyes for a moment to stop the spinning taking another breath to relax him from the side effects.
In his time there was no clock to tell what time it was. He only knew it was night by the sky painted so black. When he opened his eyes felt much better got up. He stared inside the well it was so pitch black the moonlight was not giving him much light to see in there. He murmured under his breath what else can go wrong as he begins to rub his cheeks. All the way to a nearby river he shouted "stupid well." Repeating it over and over "stupid well." You had to close yourself after she left. There no way I can get inside to be by her side.
Inuyasha arrived at the river pick up a rock tossed it into the water making ripples. He was not aware Miroku was walking towards him.
"There you're", he shouted
"What do you want Miroku?" Inuyasha shouted back
"There's a storm coming, I was worried about you", Inuyasha. Miroku responded back with a calm voice.
"I'm fine Miroku go back home", Inuyasha replied. As soon as he turned to face him. The invisible enemy came rushing towards him causing him to fall into the river.
Miroku began to run along the riverbank seeing Inuyasha floating away. He shouted towards him, I will get you out of there. He stops running when he heard him reply back to leave me alone. I will be fine Miroku. He understood what he meant. Inuyasha was hurting kagome was not with him. He replied back "fine", I will leave you alone asshole". He left him floating away in his thoughts.
Inuyasha gives him a growl shouting "whatever." Seeing Miroku leaving him in peace. He was right I'm an asshole to someone who sees's him like a brother, been there along with Kagome and sango fighting by his side. He began to think about the conversation he had four months ago before she left
(Flashback)
"I can't believe it we accomplish together in destroying the jewel and shattering Naraku dreams of becoming a powerful demon", Inuyasha shouted
"Yeah," Kagome pointed a finger towards Inuyasha's chest," I wish I can stay but...but I have to go back home to finish school. He gives her the wides cheesy smile that's what he wanted to hear from her.
"What are you smiling about Inuyasha", Kagome asks. She can see his fangs. She felt like a red riding hood is about to be eating by the badest wolf. But instead, it was a demon dog.
"You said the magic words Kagome", Please don't go, I need you here with me. Inuyasha pleaded her to stay. Inside his mind, he was repeating those words please say yes, say yes.
"Sorry I can't stay I wish I could. I promised my mother to finish school Inuyasha", Kagome replied back.
"Fine go back to your stupid world never come back", He pointed a finger towards Kagome.
"I will take your word for it", she yelled from the top of her lungs Baka, Baka, Baka.
"Fine go ahead, go back were cars speed like racing cars waiting for those lights to give them a signal ready set go. They don't care if you got run over. Its a dangerous world I have been there", Inuyasha shouted back.
"It's not a dangerous world you're jealous of me going back", Kagome answered.
"You're telling me you rather go back there. Were crazy people sit in front talking to a huge screen and getting hit by a car. You telling me I'm a baka. I think you're a baka kagome', Inuyasha replied.
Kagome begins to take a couple of steps towards the well. "Don't follow me Baka", She knew Inuyasha was walking behind her. He was scared to walk beside her. The way she yelled at him for being a baka. He deserves being yelled at by her. The way he responded to her words. She was so upset to think he was worried about her. She was being stubborn as a mule to go back just to finish school.
They both arrived at the well her mind was clouded by being so upset she didn't realize she trips over a rocky causing her to fall inside. Inuyasha reacted quickly seeing the love of his life being trip over a rock. He shouted kagome give me your hand. She shouted back I can't reach. She was out of his reach. He jumps inside to go after her before the well swallowed her up. Inuyasha asked when you're coming back. The only response was four she was gone. Inuyasha was clueless about what she meant by four. Inside his mind, he was thinking did she meant four months or four years or maybe four summers. There was not much he can do by staring at the well. His kagome was gone from his world.
The end of the flashback
"Shit", Inuyasha shouted splashing both of his hands into the water. He begins to question himself Why? Kagome couldn't give him a straight answer when she was coming back. Its been four months already since she left. He thought she was coming back today. That why he went to well to see her crawling out.
Inuyasha's body stop floating somewhere crawl out from the river sit down his back was facing a giant rock the one he will sit on top or opposite kagome will sit and Inuyasha on the ground before he falls sleep he whispers I wish you had a better day than me kagome.
In the modern world of Japan
Kagome was hoping to come back by day instead she arrived by night. Crawling out of the well she turned back hoping Inuyasha will come out to be by her side instead of her being in his world. He has been here several times when he came to bring her back to his world. That how he knew about the crazy people and the racing cars. She slowly climbs those few steps as soon as she steps outside she was strike by lightning. Quickly she runs inside her home closing the door. No one was there to greet her back. She knew there were in bed. Her stomach gives out a growl letting her know to feed me. Taking a few steps into the kitchen there was a note she opened it I left you a plate. She whispers I see it mother and thank you. At least she remembered to leave food for me. Kagome grabs the plate to heat up inside the microwave she begins to think about how she ended up in the feudal era and became a hero especially saving Inuyasha from the sacred tree by removing the arrow. A beeping sound pulls her out from her thoughts. Taking out the plate she took a sit began to eat. Did her mother forget to add more season? She extends her hand to grab the container of salt. She gives it a shakedown came a pillar of salt. I don't want anymore standing up to turn off the kitchen lights. Walking towards the stairs she places one foot on the wooden steps and the other one as well. She felt backward landing on her butt. Trying a couple of times to go up the stairs she finally made it to her bed. Her body fell on top of her bed she was so tired to put on the alarm.
The next day kagome wake up releasing it was 8:00 a.m. She shouted dammit I forgot to but the alarm I missed one hour of class. Quickly got up took a shower. Dry herself with a towel began to dress came running down the stairs no time for breakfast mother. Running down a few more stairs. She didn't care if people were staring at her or laughing at her. Her socks were not matching plus her uniform was not buttoned properly. Before walking into her second class she fixed her uniform set down closed to the window. Her teacher excused her from being late the school received a call from grandpa. I wonder what sickness he invented this time. In her inner-voice what else can go wrong. I hope Inuyasha is having a better day than me.

Summary of a taste of summer
After defeating Naraku from shattering his dreams of becoming a powerful demon and wishing for the jewel to be destroyed. Kagome had no choice to go back to finish school leaving Inuyasha its been four months since she left. There is one memory that Inuyasha will not forget by seen kagome eating watermelon under a shade tree it was a summer day. Inuyasha begins to wonder if Kagome taste like summer with the taste of watermelon when she cames back
