[icu]One week later - 9:05 AM

[ic]It was an early morning, Amora sat in Elvira's room inside the castle. She sat next to Vira, looking at her with a concerned expression. Elvira's fur was stained black with ash, the only color left on her fur was her purple paws, but even they looked ashy.

[ic]"Elvira.."

[ic]It didn't take much, Amora had started crying right there beside her. Amora was always frail, seeing her friend like this hurt. No, she wasn't just Elvira's friend. She was..more then that. Elvira loved her. Amora wasn't sure how it worked, or even if it was okay to be with another girl. At first she only saw Elvira as a friend but lately, Amora started to fall in love with Elvira, the more she thought about when she kissed her. That just made her cry more, and more.

[ci]Lumine was preparing himself for the upcoming wedding soon. Him and Fare hit it off a little while ago, he asked her to be his queen. The wedding would take place tomorrow.

[ic]"That lumi guy..?" Dawn asked, laughing

[ic]"You guys are taking it quite fast huh?"

[ci]"...Well.."

[ic]"You know me Dawn, I've always been skeptical about relationships. Actually, I've turned down everyone before Lumine. I only accepted him because.."

[ic]"He's charming~?" Dawn asked, teasing her sister.

[ic]"No- I mean- He's just.. Well it's the first time someone said I was worth anything. He told me that I was very important, he said my magic capabilities were.. Amazing. He's the only one who really cared about my personality. Everyone else just wanted to sleep with me."

[ic]"Real charming.." Farren said sarcastically

[ic]"Luminescence cares about my well-being, unlike everyone else. I- I might've even found the perfect person.."

[ic]"I don't think I'm really fit to be a queen though, he tells me I'd make a perfect one. I really don't know how to operate as one, and.. well I see why lumine was worried about becoming a king now.."

[ic]Dawn let out a sigh

[ci]"You'll make a great Queen, Fare. I believe in you, just.."

[ic]"Don't do anything too dangerous and.."

[ic]"Don't worry about what people think of you. You're the same kind person I know and love. Becoming a queen doesn't change who you are-Ah!"

[ic]Dawn fell silent as Farren rushed over and embraced her into a hug.

[ic]She chuckled, hugging her sister back, before pulling away.

[ic]"What would you do without me?"

[ic]"..."

[ic]"Really, thank you..It means a lot to hear that from you."

[ic]"Anytime sis."

[icu]The following day - 7:01 PM

[ic]Aaron let out a groan, as he walked with Ryuku.

[ic]"I'm all for it dude- But this is kind of.. uncomfortable to wear.."

[ic]"Aaron.." Ryuku sighed

[ic]He turned around reached over to Aaron. The jolteon helped loosen his tux."

[ic]"I see- Thanks! Much better! Though it feels kind of weird to have my tail poking out.."

[ic]"You're exhausting."

[ic]"It's not my fault! I never worn clothes before and-"

[ci]"...and you don't have a tail."

[ic]Ryuku blushed

[ic]"I-"

[ic]"I do.. My tail is just, really small."

[ic]"What was that?" Aaron asked, nearly laughing

[ic]"I couldn't hear you."

[ic]"Shut up, Aaron."

[ic]"Hey- Where's Rose and Finn? Weren't they invited?"

[ic]"Chances are they're already at the wedding. It's a little early though. We'll have to wait for the ceremony to start."

[ic]Ryuku smiled slightly

[ic]"I wonder how those two are feeling, Nervous, anxious, happy?"

[ic]"I'd be nervous too, dude. Everyone will be there, wouldn't you?"

[ci]"... I'm not.. going to get married, chances are I'll die before then."

[ic]"Why not? You're great dude. You have an excellent personality and you look good."

[ci]"..."

[ic]"You too, Aaron. Thank you."

[ic]Dawn walked towards the pair

[ic]"Hey you two! Aaron and Ryuku right? I've heard so much about you pair of knights. You're both attending my sister's wedding right?"

[ic]"Of course." Ryuku nodded

[ic]"We were heading there right now."

[ic]"You can join us if you want!" Aaron shouted, causing Dawn to lightly smile.

[ic]"Okay. I'll be right behind you both, We can catch up with the others there soon."

[ic]"It's pretty but.. I don't really like wearing these things.." Fare said, laughing slightly.

[ic]"It's.. a little uncomfortable."

[ic]Void leaned over to her and helped the glaceon loosen it up.

[ic]"What about now?"

[ic]"... perfect.. thank you void." she smiled at the vee, her brother

[ic]"I'm just a little nervous is all."

[ic]"You have every reason to be, it's your wedding day. I'll support you all the way. Dawn too, I'm sure lumi feels the same way."

[ic]"Lumi.."

[ci]It was true. Finn and Rose already arrived early, there they were. The group sat talking to each other near the water fountain. The wedding would announce a new queen, it was happening in the plaza as to make up for a coronation. As Ryuku and Aaron entered the gates and came towards the group of friends, they too, took a seat reserved for them.

[ic]Luminescence stood up at the front of the aisle, looking towards the crowd. He let out an anxious sigh as he waited. Only a few minutes later, Farren walked down the aisle, feeling nervous, as people watched her quietly walk towards lumine. She wore a beautiful white and blue dress, with pink ribbons. Fare held a bouquet of pretty blue roses, white lilies, and purple and pink daisies. Lumine walked down the aisle and met her halfway before heading back up with her to the front. They smiled at each other, though clearly nervous.

[ic]"Fare.."

[ic]"I- I'm really glad I had the chance to meet you. It wasn't long ago, I met you fairly recently. Farren- You've helped me grow and learn so much. You're so sweet, and kind, and nice.. And you're smart and funny too. I don't know what I'd do without you, where I'd be without your help, without your support.. Really.. Thank you.."

[ic]"Lumi, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're truly too kind. You always compliment me and talk about how amazing I am, and I never get to return the favor. Lumi, you're the best person I have ever and will ever have met. Thanks to you, I've gotten to learn so many new things. You were always so kind, and patient with me. You're so smart, you're talented, you're so fun to be around. You're handsome and.."

[ic]"I want nothing more then to spend the rest of my days with you. I love you, Luminescence."

[ic]Knowing it was time, Aaron stood up, and walked towards the two. He reached into his pocket and handed both of them their rings.

[ic]"Great work dude." the vap whispered to Lumi with a smile, before heading back to his seat. Ryuku looked at the vaporeon for a moment, before turning his attention back towards the two.

[ic]Lumi placed it on as so did Farren. He wrapped his arms around the glaceon and brought her into a kiss, which she accepted, kissing lumine back passionately. Ryuku, Aaron, Rose, Finn, Dawn, Void, everyone cheered as it happened. Ezaneian was finally about to get the queen it deserved, one it's longed for, for eons.

[ic]Guests were allowed to come within the castle for the weddings food and meals. Lumi and Fare sat in a more private spot in the castle. There, Rose served them a whopping five-tier cake. She cut them both a slice, that was a little bigger then needed. Rose handed the two of them their plates.

[ic]"R-Rose--"

[ic]"Did you-"

[ic]"You didn't have to do this.." Lumi said, blushing slightly.

[ic]Rose smiled, and gave a paws up to Finn, before turning to leave.

[ic]"I just wanted to do my part. Enjoy, you two~"

[ic]Farren and lumi both gave nervous laughs.

[ic]"I just wanna say, that you look beautiful Farren."

[ic]"Lumi.."

[ic]"I.."

[ci]"Thank you so much."

[ic]Lumi and Farren both shared a kiss in the silence of the room.

[ic]"Well?" Lumi asked

[ic]"We.. should probably start eating."

[ic]"Right." she smiled

[ic]"So.. You're his best man?" Ryuku asked Aaron, who nodded

[ci]"That's right dude, why, you jealous?"

[ic]"Of course not. I'm just surprised he'd have someone as childish as you be his best man."

[ic]"HEY!"

[Ic]"Being childish isn't a bad thing though, you've kept your youth. Your Innocence remains.. Farren and Lumi seem happy but there's someone I'm worried about.." His smile faded as he said that..

[ic]"Amora and Elvira, right?.."

[ic]"Amora didn't show up, she's been with Elvira the whole day, again. I hope she wakes up soon up dude, for Amora's sake."

[ic]"I do too.."

[ic]As the two finished up, they had noticed how late it was getting. The wedding started at around seven and it was around ten now, ten thirty two. Lumi walked out of the room to get the guests ready to leave but they were already gone.

[ic]"I helped Aaron escort them out." Ryuku stated.

[ic]"Thank you, Aaron, Ryuku." Farren said, smiling at the pair of knights.

[ci]Lumi wrapped his arm around Farren's arm

[IC]"It was getting quite late so thank you both really."

[ic]"It's all good!" Aaron shouted

[ic]"Right." Ryuku agreed

[ic]"You two can go enjoy yourselves, since everything is over and done now."

[ic]Both Farren and Lumi shared a bright red blush. Ryuku couldn't help but smile at the pair. Seeing them happy made him happy. The same went for Aaron.

[ic]Lumi and Farren returned deeper into the castle, Farren would be staying with Luminescence in his, no, their room.

[icu]Seven years later

[ci]Elvira's fur was stained black with ash, the only color left on her fur was her purple paws, but even they looked ashy. It was a whopping seven years later, Ezaneian seemed in peace. There was perfect harmony. At 7:43 AM, Elvira woke up. It was a miracle. Amora sat across from her, sleeping. Elvira pushed the covers off of her and stood up before immediately collapsing onto the floor with a loud thud, her body failed her. She slowly lifted herself up and got a grip on her balance before walking towards the door and leaving.

[ic]'Where..Where am-'

[ic]'Why was Amora-- I'm in Ezaneian?'

[ic]"Oh, good morning Elvira.." called Ryuku as he walked by her.

[ic]"..."

[ic]"Elvira!? You're awake??"

[ic]She flinched, her head ached in pain

[ic]"please don't shout, my head stings.. Was I.. Was I in a coma? All I remember is some sylveon carrying me off before blacking out. But I don't remember..why.. they were carrying me.."

[ic]"I.."

[ic]He sighed, motioning her to follow him to his room, which Elvira did.

[ic]"Sit down, there's a lot to talk about."

[ic]Elvira took a seat on his bed, feeling confused and somewhat dizzy. Her head throbbed in pain.

[ic]"So.. You're not going to believe this but.."

[ic]"Seven years ago, you were critically injured in a blazing fire, and saved within an inch of your life. Inailum Kingdom burned to the ground, there's nothing and no one left there. The only one left, who got help, and truly saved you, was Amora. Thanks to her, help managed to arrive and that sylveon, Finn, barely managed to save you from the flames and rubble. You were thought to be in a coma, one you wouldn't wake up from but Amora was persistent enough to convince me to keep you alive. I'm glad she persisted, as you're here now, awake and conscious."

[ci]"Inailum.. burned to the ground?"

[ci]"I'm sorry Elvira.. I truly am."

[ic]"I.. I'm going out for a bit. I'm going to go see Inailum, I'll be back soon."

[ic]"Are you sure.. ? Elvira.. You just woke up, your body needs rest."

[ic]"I've been resting for seven years, I think I'll be fine."

[ic]Ryuku watched her leave with a sad look on his face.

[ic]Elvira walked out of the castle into the plaza. It looked different then before. There were way more guards and knights, and citizens too. There was also a new moat around Ezaneian, filled with water. She had already figured out why that was implemented.

[ci]Elvira winced as she felt something slam against her. She let out a soft growl before shoving Amora off of her.

[ci]"Personal Space. Please."

[ci]"I-"

[ci]"Sorry.. How are you feeling? Do you have any idea how long you were in that coma? I was worried you wouldn't.."

[ci]She turned and began walking

[ic]"I'm going to see Inailum. You.. you can join me just keep your distance."

[ic]"... Alright. Let's go."

[ic]

[ic]...

[ic]

[ic]"So.." Elvira said, walking past the blackened ground, filled with burned trees and dead grass.

[ic]She came to Inailum Castle, blackened ruins with burned homes and of course, the castle itself. It was nothing but ash and rubble.

[ci]"Elvira-?" Amora started but was cut off

[ic]"There was something I needed to save from the flames, it was my mother's magic book. The only thing left from her, to me. It burned in the flames, didn't it?.."

[ic]"They don't know what it's like."

[ic]"That king , In Ezaneian, Ry.. Well. Ryuku is the only one in Ezaneian who knows what I went through. Everyone else are fools."

[ci]Amora walked closer to Elvira, she hesitated before hugging El.

[ci]"I'm really sorry.."

[ci]Elvira pulled away from her

[ci]"Amora you don't know what I've been through either . I've only told Ryuku everything that happened. He understands what I've been through and has always supported me. At least, at least Ryuku has time for me. Unlike you, you were always busy with Sombra."

[ic]"Elvira.."

[ic]"...Where is he now anyways? I haven't seen him in forever." Elvira laughed quietly

[ic]"...I.. don't know.." Amora looked down, as if she was about to cry.

[ci]Elvira walked past Amora, towards Ezaneian.

[ic]"If you didn't have time for me before then don't talk to me now, I'd rather avoid any contact with you from here on."

[ic]"..E.. El.."

[ci]"I loved you, you know."

[ic]"Truly. Then you had to go and be with Sombra. You have no idea how that made me feel."

[ic]"I was scared to tell you and in the heat of the moment, I couldn't help but kiss you. You've got a beautiful smile Amora."

[ic]"..."

[ic]"I'm going back to Ezaneian. Inailum is gone, Ezaneian's the only place I have to call a home now. The same goes for you. From here, we'll go our separate ways. Goodbye Amora."

[ic]Elvira waved at her one last time before walking away from her, back towards Ezaneian. As she left, Amora couldn't help but break down in tears.

[ic]As Elvira returned home, she headed to her room within the castle where Ryuku sat.

[ci]"What are you doing in-"

[ic]"Shouldn't you be on patrol or something?" Elvira muttered in annoyance

[ci]"No, I wanted to wait to give you this."

[ci]Ryuku handed Elvira a black book. It was her mother's book.

[ic]"How did you-"

[ic]"It burned right in front of me.."

[ic]"No it didn't. It sustained fire damage yes but we were able to retrieve it and safely put the flame out without harming the book. First few pages should be blackened but besides that, it's in decent condition."

[ic]"..."

[ci]"You really are too kind, know that Ryuku?"

[ci]"I'm... going to repay you some day, I promise."

[ic]"You don't have to Elvira, really."

[ic]"It's really been a while since I've woken up huh? How's Luminescence been keeping the kingdom?"

[ic]"Good, defended, much more secure. Why?"

[ic]"I was just curious. It's clearly doing better then Inailum."

[ci]"Elvira.."

[ic]"I'll make sure Ezaneian burns with it. Ryuku, Inailum is gone. I can promise you.. Ezaneian will die too."

[ic]Ryuku had a nervous expression.

[ci]Elvira would stay alone in her room for weeks after that. Ryuku tried to talk to her but she'd never listen. Her door was always locked and she rarely saw the light of day, she'd always be in her dark room. Sometimes they would hear loud sounds coming from her room, like a book being thrown or her dresser falling over.

[ci]"You okay?" Ryuku would often ask, concerned. Then it would go silent for the rest of the day. Ryu decided to mind his business and left her alone.

[uci]Three weeks later

[icu]7:52 PM

[ic]Lumi stood alone in the woods, or not so alone. On his back, was his daughter, Marshall. A small vee around the age of seven and eight. Lumi was picking fruits and vegetables from the trees. He handed one to the small vee on his back who quietly took and ate the apple. Luminescence laughed quietly before turning and walking back towards the castle.

[ic]"Marshy, Fare's going to like these don't you think?"

[CI]"ye!" she suddenly exclaimed, breaking the silence. He laughed again, it was more of a giggle though.

[ic]"I think so too. They're fresh. Winter's coming soon so we've to prepare fast before the cold overcomes us. Thankfully, we've never had a problem with winter."

[ic]"I wanna build a snowmon!"

[ic]"Okay, we'll build a snowmon. That is, when snow starts to fall."

[ic]"Ya! Snowmon!!"

[ci]"Energetic aren't we?"

[ic]"Let's hurry back a little faster, it's getting cold."

[ciu]29 minutes later

[ic]Lumi smiled at Farren as they returned. He let Marshall off and walked over to the glec.

[ic]"Fare- Hey. I'm back.."

[ic]He placed the basket down and pulled her into a hug, which she happily accepted.

[ci]"Welcome back you two, it getting cold out there?"

[ic]"Quite. Winter will be here in a few months, though Marshy does seem excited."

[ic]"Yes!"

[ci]Fare laughed and hugged the Vee.

[ci]"I've always liked winter as a vee as well, I guess that's part of the reason that I'm a glaceon. I've always preferred the cold."

[ci]"Likewise." lumi responded

[ic]"It's just.. It's so painful- like my veins are going to burst. It's better then being exhausted in the heat though, I suppose."

[ic]"You'll adapt." Farren said, laughing. Lumi laughed too.

[ic]"Not like you unfortunately, you're a glaceon, I'm an Umbreon. I'm not sure if you've noticed but we lack much fur. We do have fur but it's so thin, I'll catch hypothermia in no time."

[ic]"Relax Lumi- As long as I'm around, I'll keep both Marshall and you warm.."

[ic]"Your body is freezing." lumi almost shouted

[ic]"You're cold to the touch!"

[ic]"I actually have a really random question for you, Fare."

[ic]"Huh? What's that-"

[ic]"What happens if the ice on your body melts?.."

[ic]"O-oh.." Farren blushed a bright red.

[ic]"W-well, It's not easy to melt it, but even if, I'd probably avoid talking to anyone until it refreezes. I get really embarrassed about it but it's actually just frozen fur!"

[ci]"Nonsense, I bet you look beautiful."

[ci]"Lumiii.."

[ic]He smiled at the both of them brightly, his family.

[ic]"We should take Marshall to see Nihena's Spring sometime. I think she deserves to know about the ancient goddess."

[ic]"Why don't we go right now? It's a little chilly sure, but the spring looks the prettiest during the night."

[ic]"Really..?"

[ic]"Yeah! Let's go, come on!"

[ic]Marshall was a bit confused, but regardless she climbed onto lumi's back. He walked with Farren outside and the two began walking to the spring deep in the greenwoods.

[ic]...

[ic]As they arrived at the spring, the two walked down to see the statue, and the columns surrounding it.

[ic]"I-It's so pretty..!" Marshall shouted, jumping off of lum and running up to the statue of the goddess.

[ic]Farren and Lumi both exchanged smiles before they walked up and sat down by Marshall. Lumi wrapped Fare in a hug. Marshall waved her paw through the water surrounding the statue, before pulling it back as it was freezing.

[ic]Lumi sat in silence for a moment, deep in thought. His mind wavered, as he thought about the Goddess, Nihena, and then the new Goddess Farren, who was to protect Ezaneian. He felt like he was somewhere else. He opened his eyes to see himself in a large open area, the floor was made out of water. It was endless and he was alone, or so he thought. Suddenly, he heard a tranquil voice. He turned to see Nihena.

[ic]"H-hey- what's- going on?" lumi asked, standing up. He felt different somehow. Like some kind of power was flowing through him. She was a beautiful creature, with mist gathering around her. No they were.. Wisps.

[ic]"Relax, I am not your enemy. I am sure you are aware of who I am?"

[ic]"Where are we- How are you-"

[ci]"Alive?.. I'm not, not now anyways. I summoned you to the heavens to say one thing, to tell you one thing. Soon there will be a great calamity, one I cannot predict well. The only things that I could predict and are certain is Farren's departure. She will leave soon, yet you have to keep going. I'll send her back to you as soon as I can, and I'll join you both in life, and I'll leave death. However it'll use so much of my power that I won't remember any of this. You. Farren. Please, if you see me again, do take this into consideration. Remember that I will not know you. My memory will be lost temporary, wether you wish to help me return it or not, is up to you but Fare might want that. I urge you to never speak of this to her, as it could change fate. Then I will not be able to recontact you and alarm you of what is certain and uncertain."

[ic]"I heavily apologize for speaking like this, some things are just not meant to be said, I take caution with telling you about this for fear of what could change fate to a darker degree. Your a hero Luminescence, a hero of Ezaneian. Even if you don't think so, you've just been awakened, unleashed into your utmost ultimate form. I warn you of the calamity so you'll have a headstart to prepare. Be on your guard. It won't be an easy fight. I'm sending you back now, I just had to tell you these few things."

[ic]"..."

[ic]"HEY! WAIT!" Lumi shouted

[ic]"I don't understand a single thing you just said, it's all too much to process. Farren's leaving? What do you mean by that- how do you know all of this is certain to happen?"

[ic]"I've been watching over Ezaneian for long now, including it's inhabitants. I was gifted with abilities and powers strong enough to allow me to do so. I'm a goddess Luminescence, and so is Farren. And so is Marshall. Protect them, with your life."

[ic]"Nihena-"

[ci]"Hey!"

[ic]He reached out only to find himself in a pool of light. That same feeling, of being transported returned. He came to the statue of Nihena, and Farren worriedly standing with him.

[ci]"Lumi??" Farren asked, shaking him slightly

[ic]"What's- What's going on- Are you-"

[ic]"Dad?" Marshall asked almost in a whisper.

[ic]Lumi opened his eyes, feeling slightly confused about Nihena's words. He felt worried, and slightly nauseous. Despite this, he stood up.

[ic]"What's wrong?-"

[ic]He let out a silent gasp as he stood up, almost falling over. Colorful lights, more so then ever, decorated his body. He had two tails, slowly swaying back and forth, and he was taller. His lights shined brightly, lighting up the entire spring. His awakened form.

[ic]"..."

[ic]"Huh?!"

[ic]"Lumi- are you- What happened-"

[ic]"I-"

[ic]Nihena's words flashed into his mind.

[ic]'I urge you to never speak of this to her, as it could change fate.'

[ic]"I don't know.. I.. I just kind of.. fainted.."

[ic]Marshall went silent, In awe of the new appearance lumi had. Farren lifted her up onto her shoulders and looked towards lumi.

[ic]"I think.. I've read about this, It's Nihena's doing. She's supposed to bless the king with some ancient powers, though, I'm not entirely sure if this is what it meant. Do you feel any different?.."

[ic]"N-no not really.." he lied, feeling that power again, surge throughout his entire body.

[icu]One day later - Plaza - 9:00 AM

[ic]"Hey, Elvira, where've you been?!" Ryuku asked, watching as she left her room.

[ic]"I mean, I know where but.."

[ic]"I was looking at the book you returned to me."

[ic]"For- three weeks?"

[ic]"Yeah. I may've been practicing on my magic a little more as well, that could be why I've been so absent. I've been thinking about how I'm going to do this."

[ic]"Do what?.."

[ic]"..."

[ic]She leaned over to Ryuku. He was taller then her, she didn't notice it until she leaned in close.

[ic]"E-Elvira-? What're you-"

[ic]Before he could finish, Elvira kissed the Jolteon gently on his lips, before pulling back. She didn't run though, she just kind of smiled at him. It was a bright smile, full of warmth, happiness, a lovely smile. He couldn't help but smile back at her. The jolteon leaned in and returned the kiss, which Elvira happily accepted. She pulled away and grabbed his paw.

[ic]"Ryu, let's go to Nihena's Spring. The both of us can relax and talk there."

[ic]"Ah- Now?- It's kind of early don't you think?"

[ic]"Which is why we should go there now, to save time in the day for more things later

[ic]"Well.. Okay, sure.. I'm free today so- Let's go."

[ic]She smiled brightly and walked with him towards the greenwood. Little did Ryu know, as they walked towards the spring, a shadow created by her magic snuck into the castle.

[ic]"Elvira?"

[ic]"Do you..?"

[ic]"I do. You know, I haven't gotten to know you as much as I'd like.. But the time you have been in my life, have been amazing moments, I actually feel happy around you. You always know how to cheer me up."

[ic]"..."

[ic]"What if.. What if we were rulers, Ryuku?"

[ic]"What if you were my King, and I was your Queen? Sounds like a dream huh?"

[ci]"I don't really, wanna be king- aha- the responsibility is too great for someone like me.. You'd make a great Queen though."

[ic]"Nonsense, you'd make a great king.. Ryuku.."

[ic]"...Theo."

[ic]"Huh?"

[ic]"My real name is Theo, Elvira. I rarely tell anyone because I hate it yet.. I should probably tell you.. Since we're getting to know each other so well, actually we've been friends forever. That's why you should know, because I trust you to do good, and to keep order and peace within the land. You've never been corrupted by the energy, as you promised.. So.. I trust you."

[ic]"Ryuku..I.."

[ic]She sounded broken, like she was contemplating something but that tone was quickly replaced by curiosity.

[ic]So then what is 'Ryuku?'"

[ic]"It's my middle name. Theo, Ryuku, Inazuma. What do you think..?"

[ic]"...I think it's a beautiful name Ryu-...Theo. I love it!"

[ic]Ryuku blushed at her, feeling embarrassed yet happy, and warm.

[ic]"Just- call me Ryuku around the others, It's still.. I still don't like it." he said laughing nervously.

[ic]"I will, I promise."

[ic]"Thank you, so much."

[ic]"I don't understand your worry though, Theo is a wonderful name."

[ic]"Well- Theo was my father's name. I was named after him. It kind of hurts to hear it, oh and it makes me feel.. awkward.."

[ic]"What a coincidence, I was named after my mother. My mother, Elvira, was a great mom. Or at least, that's what father told me. I never got to meet her unfortunately."

[CI]"My parents were kind but my father was kind of strict. He wanted me to be a knight like him and so I did."

[ic]Elvira continued to listen to him, following the jolteon from behind. She turned and quietly snuck off, leaving Ryuku walking to the woods while rambling. She quickly headed back towards Ezaneian castle.

[ci]Rain fell hard down against the kingdom, Ezaneian would slowly devolve into ruin. Rose, Aaron, Lumine and Farren were fighting off the inky black creatures, although they just kept coming.

[ic]"Over here!" Farren shouted. Lumine ran over to the glaceon and helped her fight off a horde that surrounded them in seconds.

[ic]"They- don't stop coming do they?!" He asked in a yell.

[ic]"Where are they even coming from?" Farren asked to which lumine didn't answer. He was clueless as well.

[ic]"Go- Focus on destroying the kingdom, I'll take care of these two."

[ic]The dark creatures followed her orders and ran off to cause more chaos around the kingdom.

[ic]"...Elvira?"

[ic]"Hey- what are you-"

[ic]He raised his sword and slammed it against her arm as she lunged at him, the blade cut deep into her. Light pierced her flesh, a sickly burning sound was made as she pulled back and used her magic to heal the wound, at least up until the point where she was stabbed. Upon trying to heal where the light penetrated her flesh, she was only met with a searing pain.

[ic]"I see.." Farren got lumi's attention

[ic]"She's infected with malice.. Look into her eyes and you'll see the Crepuscular energy drilling into your soul. Be careful."

[ic]"We've got this, let's do it Farren."

[ic]Ryuku quickly withdrew his bow and aimed an arrow at Elvira. He hesitated for a moment before letting the arrow fly towards her and impale her back. She looked back at him as she gritted her teeth and ripped the arrow out. It sizzled her flesh, a harsh burning sound was made. She immediately dropped the arrow, feeling it burn her paw through pure light energy.

[IC]"Vira- What are you doing?! Call off these..things now!"

[ci]"I told you, Ryuku. Don't you remember? I'm going to make Ezaneian pay. I'll pay you back too for all the kindness, a seat alongside me in the kingdom amongst everyone."

[ci]"What?.."

[ic]"No-this isn't the way to do it, you can-"

[ic]The arrow flew back and struck him on the forehead, the same sizzling sound came as he tore the arrow out of the burning wound. Blood ran down the side of his face and stained his fur a crimson red.

[ic]"Ryuku!" both Farren and Lumi shouted. The two ran to go help him, Elvira only laughed.

[ci]"So you're also corrupted with dark magic? I can hear the sound of your flesh burning, sizzling. You're infected too."

[ci]"Guess that explains your black paws, it's charred skin."

[ci]He stood up wearily and fired off more arrows at Elvira who dodged them easily. Dawn and Void waited inside with Marshall, as Farren and Luminescence would fight alongside their friend. The ground froze towards Elvira, ice spikes came from the dirt underneath her. Vira narrowly dodged them, lumi's sword flew towards her. She grabbed it with her paws, her flesh sizzled as it made contact. Still, she clutched tighter onto the sword until it shattered into a thousand pieces. Lumine kicked her hard, sending her flying back only to catch herself against the ground.

[ci]"Ryuku-" the Umbreon started

[ic]"You need to leave, now. Go into the castle and patch yourself up, that wound is-"

[ic]"No- I can still fight. I'm the royal knight. It's going to take a lot more then that to kill me."

[ic]"B-but-"

[ic]He readied his bow again and shot a light arrow towards Elvira which pierced her head, blood oozed from the wound and light burnt her. She pulled the arrow out and threw it back.

[ic]"Ryuku!" Lumi yelled. He lunged towards the Jolteon, tackling him hard into the dirt.

[ic]Ryuku collapsed with a thud, leaving Farren and Lumi to fight her alone. The jolteon was exhausted, lacking any strength to keep going.

[ci]"So- you're going to defend Ryuku?"

[ic]"Then say goodbye to your pride!" she yelled, running towards Farren. It wasn't the smartest idea and she ended up skewered by ice spikes, stabbed through the chest.

[ic]Lumi lifted Ryuku and slowly ran over to the glaceon. He gasped when he saw the bloody mess, Elvira's corpse that had been completely impaled from one of the ice stalactites.

[ic]"Did she really think- she could get close-?

[ic]"... how's Ryuku?.." she asked, looking at the jolteon. His fur was soaked in blood, the wound on his head was bad. Fatal.

[IC]"Quick, we need to get him inside. He'll die if we just stand here."

[ci]"Right.."

[ic]Lumi started following Farren back inside.

[ic]"hey--"

[ic]"Get down!" Farren yelled, tackling lumine and Ryuku onto the dirt. An explosion went off and ice spikes flew just above their heads. They turned to look at Elvira who managed to heal the large wound in her stomach.

[ic]"D-damnit.. She's using dark energy- I forgot that my attacks don't give off light.."

[ic]"Farren- You're the goddess right?"

[ci]"Can't you just charge light energy throughout your ice?!"

[ic]"I don't know how!-" She was grabbed and pulled out of the way of Elvira rushing at them. As they ran, he'd realize he dropped..

[ic]"Ryuku!" he shouted, running towards Elvira with his blade raised high, ready to strike.

[ic]Elvira lowered her paws to Ryuku and repaired the damage that was done. She healed him all the way. She even healed the wound on his head, where he had been attacked by the arrow. Normally it would cause intense pain but he was out cold, it still, of course, left a scar on him. She'd wrap her paws around his neck, digging his claws into him. Suddenly.. There was a bright flash of light as some weird creature moved out of the smoke.

[ic]"What happened?.." Farren asked, standing up and readying herself.

[ic]"That's one of the spells, for dark energy. Though it's hard to pull off. Extremely.. I'm just glad she didn't hurt Ryuku. She.. she fused with him."

[ic]"But how are we going to win now? If we attack, Ryuku will also get hurt.."

[ic]Lumi stood in silence, and suddenly, massive spikes made out of solid rock formed from the ground underneath them.

[ci]"Damn- That was close- This isn't going to be easy.."

[ic]"Farren?"

[ic]"I managed to swipe this from the ground- take it!" she yelled, throwing Ryuku's bow and quiver over to Luminescence. He managed to catch it and pulled back an arrow, before launching it towards the creature. Elryuku noticed this and a large claw formed from the ground, destroying the arrow completely. He let out a grunt of annoyance, running towards Elryuku at full speed. A dark, shadowy claw made of rock and dirt appeared from the ground. He made his way around and fired off more light arrows towards Elryuku. She used her arm to block the arrows from hitting her face.

[ic]"You want to get close..huh?"

[ic]She took a step closer. The claws disappeared and she ran towards lumine. Lumine threw the arrows and quiver to Farren.

[ic]"Use these!" He yelled.

[ic]"What are you going to use then?.." she asked, catching the weapon.

[ic]Lumine used his magic to summon two blades fully infused with light. They fell down and he grabbed the weapons. He raised his paws and swung them at Elryuku. She dodged the first sword, yet the second caught her off guard, slicing and cutting into her. She pulled back only to meet the light arrows from Farren. Elryuku tore them out, as blood dripped down her fur. She formed a dark blade and sliced into lumi's shoulder, before ripping it out in a bloody mess. She swung and sliced the umbreon across the chest, causing him to collapse. She turned to Farren and dashed at her with immense speeds. She sliced the bow in half, and the arrows as well, before lunging back. The ice spikes were something she knew to be careful of now.

[ic]Aaron and Finn ran over to the group. Lumine had been hacked up badly. The Umbreon desperately called out and used his magic, which regenerated his body to some degree. His shoulder slowly healed yet he was still in intense pain. His chest ached. He stood, though crouched down, unable to move from the pressure. Farren stayed by his side, as Aaron readied his trident and threw it towards Elryuku. She slid past it, and Finn's blade easily skinned her.

[ic]She grabbed his sword, and kicked the sylveon against the ground. As the Vaporeon's trident flew towards her, she knocked it away with the blade and launched the sword at Aaron. The vaporeon jumped away, just barely avoiding it. Elryuku quickly moved to the ground and placed her paw on the dirt. Stalactites formed and rushed towards Aaron. The vaporeon jumped away, using his paws to get out of her range. Unfortunately, he didn't watch his backside, and one spike impaled him. Finn stood up wearily, Elryuku ran over towards Lumi and Farren. The two were so vulnerable. Farren shoved Lumine away, and stood up. The ice blade she wielded glowed a bright white light. Elryuku swung the dark sword at Farren, who repelled it with her own. Elryuku's claws dug into the ground as her leg glowed a dark purple. Farren barely had time to react before she was overtaken by spikes forming from the ground. She pulled away from Elryuku to try and dodge, and was met by her dark blade. The sword pierced her stomach, before Elryuku rose her leg and kicked the glaceon into the spike near Aaron. Her back shattered as she hit the rock. Lumi weakly stood up. Him and Finn ran towards Elryuku, and as she turned to look at them, they both plunged their swords into the creature, before pulling them out and knocking her a distance away to protect themselves. Elryuku got up, covered in blood and wounds. She took a step towards them again, her body aching. Her paws glowed a dangerous white, as they started to freeze with ice. Her elemental powers were starting to manifest. She started towards them.

[ic]Run

[ic]'Run' came a voice, within her thoughts. Ryuku. She took a step back. She thought for a moment before bolting out of the ruined castle. What was left of the knights had managed to kill the shadows that were invading,. all except Elvira. Lumi slowly turned his head to the large spikes created by her magic, destruction surrounded them.

[ic]Finn took a step back.

[ic]"I'll.. I'll tell Dawn and Void what happened here.. Lumi-"

[ci]Quickly, Finn ran back towards the castle. Or- what was left of it. Thankfully, the three were sitting in an underground section of the castle so they were not harmed.

[uci]One hour later

[ci]The rain continued to pour. Weakly, Luminescence stumbled into the underground area. He was completely covered in blood, and injuries though he tried his best to heal himself.

[ic]"What happened?!" Asked Void, nervously

[ic]"Are you okay?.." Dawn asked worriedly.

[ic]"I'm fine. There was an attack, the kingdom is in ruin. Dawn, Void, we.. We'd better leave.."

[ic]"Wait." Void asked

[ci]"Where's..Farren?"

[ic]The umbreon slowly picked up Marshall. The little vee hugged him tight.

[ci]"..."

[ic]"..wait- No...I.. I see."

[ic]"You're lying." Dawn said, shaking her head

[ic]"Where is she?!"

[ic]Lumine just slowly shook his head and walked out, leaving the two alone.

[ic]With Marshall on his back, he slowly started to leave the castle. This time, he would be leaving Ezaneian Kingdom. For good. He hoped, prayed that Ryuku was okay. Silent tears were shed for Farren, Aaron, and everyone else who was killed by Elvira. He only had one question. Why?..
