The Night Fox

In the depths of the Dark Age following humanity's collapse, a mysterious figure joins the ranks of the Traveler's chosen. With a mastery of the frontier and a wit sharper than her blade, the Night Fox stalked the enemy invaders from afar with deadly accuracy. But her roguish antics and penchant for getting into trouble would have farther reaching consequences than anyone knew.

1. Preview

Hey all and welcome to my story!

This story began as a collection of various character ideas I had as I began to explore the ever expanding Destiny universe. The depth of this game's lore is utterly fascinating and I love everything about it. As I enjoy writing and reading in my spare time, I decided to start putting those ideas to paper and here we are!

Just a few things to note before you begin:

1) The main character, Adira, is not "The Guardian" or the main character we play in game, and is revived by her ghost, Alta, sometime around the end of the Dark Age and the beginning of the City Age. I chose to do this for a number of reasons, but the primary one being that I wanted to further explore Destiny's past while also freeing her from any constraints of being the prophesied chosen one. I may or may not choose to include "The Guardian" as the story goes on.

2) While I will say that I've have delved quite deep into the extensive lore of the Destiny universe, I do not know everything! So please, be kind, but if you happen to notice any major lore discrepancies, don't hesitate to let me know! The amount of information Bungie has put out for the greater story of this game is absolutely ludicrous and I'm bound to have missed something.

That being said, be aware that I have taken a few artistic liberties in relation to the timeline. For example, I placed Cayde-6's rise as a guardian to be sometime between The Battle at Six Fronts and The Battle at Twilight Gap, since based on his notes he seems to talk about Six Fronts as though he wasn't there and Twilight Gap as though he was. Overall, Destiny is rather vague as to exactly when he, or any other character for that matter, was reborn.

3) The classic disclaimer, Destiny and all it's associated lore and characters (with the exception of any of my own creations) are of course property of Bungie and I do not own any of it. But you're smart and if you've been here long enough and have half a brain, that should be obvious.
