The Birth of The World Ender
"A...one?" Evan deflated."I rolled a one?"
"How can that be?" Hiraki grumbled under his breath."His luck usually would give him a high number."
CHAOS guffawed, his palm on his forehead.
"What's so funny?!" Evan hissed, his temper no longer."What did you do?!"
"I did nothing, child." CHAOS shook his head, composing himself."You've merely gone back to being your old misfortunate self."
"What...?" Evan gasped."You mean..."
"When I took that chaos power back, I essentially took everything I had given you. Including your luck. Did you really think you were lucky by mere coincidence? Such a naive thought. Remember, Evan, you are meant to be a misfortunate child. All the horrible things that you've been through were meant to happen. Even becoming part of chaos. You were a pawned not only to me but to your own bad luck. Such a shame."
"Shut up! I'm still going to take you down! Battle! Go, Magatsu Kyukana! Attack Ashura!"
Magatsu Kyukana readied his sword and dashed over to Ashura as they both blocked blades with each other.
"Not a bad attempt, but I have something up my sleeve, my dear child. I activate my Trap Card, Gate Nine! I can activate this card during battle phase. I can target a battling monster you control and increase its ATKs by 300."

"But why would he do that?"
"Because, when my monster is destroyed..." CHAOS smirked at Ashura was destroyed in front of him."The damage is reverted back to you."
Evan screamed in pain as lightning began covering his body.

"Not only that, but I can Special Summon a monster from my Deck. I'll take it easy and go with something small. Appear, Chaos Seeker Atlas!"
A giant covered in lava appeared on the field, wielding a hammer.

"Not good. But I can still pull my move later. I set a card and end my turn."

"Then I believe it's my turn." CHAOS drew his card."As previously requested, do try to survive this turn as well. I draw. From my hand, I activate the Spell Card, Chaotic Synergy. I can target a monster on my field and Special Summon another one from my Deck. Let's go with my precious Ragnarock! I Special Summon Chaos Seeker Baldr!"
A man covered in shadows appeared on the field. His left side was black and his right was white.

"Another Level 12 monster?!" Hiraki clicked his tongue."This is bad. What kind of abilities does it have?
"You are about to find out, child. I activate Baldr's effect! He gains ATKs and DEFs equal to the combined force of all light and dark type monsters on the field. Normally, I would have to use a Spell or Trap to change the type of a monster, but you...Hiraki has light-type monsters and Evan has dark-type monsters. You made this all the more easier."
Baldr grew wings from its back as his body went limp, seemingly without life as he ascended in the air.

"Holy shit!" Ace bit his lower lip on the sidelines."If he attacks any of them they'll take a massive amount of damage!"
"Not so fast, CHAOS!" Hiraki cried out."Remember, my Vice Alpha's effect allows me to-"
"Allow me to activate Atlas's effect. When a monster on the field gains ATK, all monsters on my opponent's side of the field have their effects negated."
Hiraki gasped, flabergasted at his strategy failing instantly.
"Now, who shall suffer my wrath...?" CHAOS closed his eyes, hands on his hips."Well, I could always just attack you both. Tell you what, I'll let you decide for yourselves. Pick whoever you want to be attacked. Pray to God that your answer satisfies me. Little advice though, boys, I won't be listening."
"That's crazy!" Hiraki clenched his fists."There's no way we'll do something like that. Evan, you said you had a plan, right? Let me take the damage. I'll buy you some time so you can come up with a strategy!"
"Hiraki...are you serious right now?" Yuke spoke from within him."We have no defense on our field. Our monster won't stand a chance against Baldr. We'll lose instantly if he attacks."
"Still...!" Hiraki clenched his fists, his teeth grinding.
"Well, I suppose I'll just attack. I'll start with you, Hiraki. Let me see if you are really the opponent I've been looking for! Battle! Go, Baldr! Eradicate this scum of a monster! God Knows!"
Baldr's wings began flapping, sending a shower of sharp feathers at him.
"I got you, Hiraki! I activate my Trap Card, Heroic Escape! With this card, I can target an attacking monster on the field and banish all monsters on the field until the end phase!" With a flash, all monsters on all the field disappeared, except the giant egg still awaiting.
"So effects can't do anything to it?" Evan narrowed his eyes."Still, I've stopped your attacks, CHAOS!"
'That you did. Not bad, protecting your little friend. Human sympathy is truly outstanding." CHAOS said with an amused smile."Well, I suppose I can't do much for now. I end my turn by setting a card."
CHAOS hand: 2
"Shit..." Hiraki muttered as all monsters appeared on the field. According to his Duel Disk, Vice Alpha was still unable to activate any of its effects."Well, now what?"
"Good question." Kumai laughed next to Yuke."For all a final fight, this isn't so much of a high risking battle. At this rate, you'll guys get butt-fucked back to Standard. Hahaha! Oh, even Yuke wouldn't stand a chance against this guy. Then again, he is the mastermind behind everything."
"I know. But I have to do this. My turn! I draw! I activate the Spell, Pot of Greed! I draw 2 cards from my Deck! Now, let's get on with the duel! Alright, I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Sacrifice! I can Special Summon a Pendulum Monster from my Pendulum Scale to my field! Come, Graceful Sister!"

"When a monster is Special Summoned on the field, I can Special Summon Spectral Deva - Vladitor!"
A man wearing a white robe and wearing a crimson mask appeared on the field, wielding a blade.

"Now, with the two Level 6s monsters I control, I build the Overlay Network!"
Both monsters turned to purple energy as they were absorbed by a black vortex.
"Mechanical fiend that lurks in the darkness of the darkest light, spread your wings and show the sign of a new era of chaos! XYZ Summon! Come, Rank 6! Spectrum Deva - Vice Omega!"
A large purple mechanical dragon with a long, curved tail and gleaming metal horns appeared on the field. Its frame sported four outward-facing spikes. Its wings are slanted, square-like, and closed each housing individual cannons.

"Vice Omega's effect activates! I detach all of its Overlay Units in order to activate its effect twice! I destroy two cards on your field, and for every card, my monster gains 500 ATKs! Since that egg can't be destroyed by effect, I'll first target Atlas!"

"The second one, I'll go for your Baldr!"
Another ray of energy appeared, but this time, Baldr slapped it away.
"Baldr can avoid destruction once per turn, by halving his ATKs by half." CHAOS explained.

"Not bad, but unfortunately, I activate a Trap Card from the Graveyard! Tribute to the Supreme God! I can only activate this Trap Card when it's destroyed. Furthermore, it's a Continous Trap, and as long as it's on my Graveyard, Omega won't be able to do much anymore!"
Shadow arms wrapped themselves around the mechanical being.
"Damn it..." Hiraki was beginning to get frustrated. None of his moves were working."Both of us are working together and we haven't so much as scratched him. We have to think of something! I set two cards and end my turn!"

"Here I go, CHAOS!" Evan cried out."My turn! I draw! Hiraki, let's do this! I activate the effect of my Equipped Enchanted Wand! Magatsu Kyukana can get 600 ATKs per monster on the field! There are now 5! That will be a total of 3000!"

"So much power." CHAOS snickered.
"Now, I activate the Spell Card, Ultimate Gamble! I can toss a coin, and if it lands on tails, I can banish all monsters on your field! However, if it lands on heads, my monster is destroyed and I take damage equal to half its ATKs!"
"That's quite a gamble." CHAOS commented."Do you think you can really pull it off? Now that your luck is gone?"
"I might not have luck, but I have hope! Hope in me, my friends and everyone! I won't be alone anymore, CHAOS! I won't represent misfortune! I will forge my path with the people around me!" A golden coin was tossed in the air, dreadfully rolling around before it landed on...
"Heads!" Hiraki shrieked in horror, watching as Magatsy Kyukana exploded into particles. Evan screamed in agony as the force of the impact hurt him.

"No..." Reiji was dreadful observing both battles. While Yusho was holding his own against Yuri, he knew that the Fusion Counterpart of Yuya was hiding something. On the other hand, Evan had left himself wide open for an attack. He was contemplating joining their duel, but a chuckle stopped him.
Evan had stood up, fists clenched."I'm not done, CHAOS...I still have a trick up my sleeve! I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Final Battle Cry! I can activate this card when a monster on my field has been destroyed! I can return it, and double the ATKs it had before its destruction! Come back, MAGATSU KYUKANA!" Evan screamed to the heavens, as his sinister partner returned from the dead.

"Impossible!" CHAOS sneered."11600 ATKs!"
Evan glared at the god, a solemn expression on his face."This ends now, CHAOS. Go back to whatever hole you came from! This is our power! Battle, go Magatsu Kyukana! Attack all monsters on his field with your Enchanted Wand!"
"Don't think you'll get away with this, CHAOS!" Hiraki interrupted."I activate my Trap Card, Naval Blockade! I can negate any activation of Spells and Traps on the field until the end of this turn!"
"Yes!" Ace cheered, being helped up by Reira and Reiji."If that hits, the duel will be over!"
Yusho glanced over to his student, a warm smiling gracing his lips.
"Tch." Yuri spat at the ground."Evan..."
Magatsu Kyukana rose its wand and its sword in the air, before swinging down in one swift motion, sending two different streams of energy coming at CHAOS at highspeed.
"GO, EVAN!" Hiraki cried out."FINISH IT!"
"IMPOSSIBLE!" CHAOS was engulfed by the huge power, which was strong enough to destroy the part of the ceiling as the attack kept going up in the sky before exploding.
Hiraki fell on his butt, sighing."Phew! It's over!"
Evan, stood still, panting."Yeah...And just in time...Now we have to go and-"
Before he could go on, a screen appeared in front of Evan. The screen showed an image of Rin, unconscious inside of a tube.
"Rin!" Evan hollered, suddenly hissing. His vision was becoming worse, and his energy was about to run out."Rin! I'm coming!"
"Transport the third one!" The voice of the Professor commanded."Transport Rin!"
"What?! No!" Evan tried grabbing the screen but his hands went right through it."RIN!"
Rin did not respond. Her body began glowing before disappearing into particles, leaving her tube empty.
"No..." Hiraki covered his mouth, unable to process what he just saw.
"Rin..." Evan's eyes nearly bulged out of his skull. The screen disappeared, leaving the heartbroken boy staring at nothingness.
"Ah, human despair. Such a nice show you've put for me, Evan."
"NO WAY!" Hiraki exclaimed, bewildered. CHAOS walked out of the cloud of smoke, unharmed.

"Your precious friend, your reason for fighting, gone like nothing." CHAOS mocked him, walking in circles around them."All your efforts were in vain."
"Bastard!" Hiraki's eyes were glowing slightly."How did you survive that?!"
CHAOS pointed at the egg on his field. There were cracks everywhere on its shell."Ragnarock is no pushover, even in its weakest state. I've been hiding this from you boys, but he has a terrifying ability. He can reduce the attack of an attacking monster to zero. Your little light show was all for nothing. You fighting for your dear friend was all for nothing. How misfortunate."
"I...failed..." Evan began coughing uncontrollably, falling on his knees. He was spitting a huge amount of blood and his cough seemed inhumane.
"Evan!"
"Hiraki, don't!" Ace hollered to the former leader of the unifiers."If you get too close, you'll get infected with the bacteria!"
Hiraki could only stare as Evan barfed bile mixed with blood on the floor as he fought to stand up but couldn't."DON'T GIVE UP! DAMN IT! STAND UP, EVAN!"
"His time is over." CHAOS shook his head."Come on, Evan. What else do you have left up your sleeve?"
Evan touched his Duel Disk."I end...my...tu-turn..."
"Good boy. My turn! I draw! Now, I'll attack with Ragnarock Phase 1! Its ATKs become the amount of ATKs that your monster had!"

"It was a pleasure dueling one of the people responsible for my resurrection. You have my gratitude, Evan. Battle! I attack Magatsu Kyuana...!"
"DON'T DO IT!" Hiraki yelled to CHAOS in vain.
"...with Chaos Seeker Ragnarock Phase 1! Life Termination!" A piece of the egg fell off, revealing a yellow light staring back. From the hole, a thin beam of energy moved so fast that no one was able to see it. The attack pierced right through Magatsu Kyukana, destroying it instantly. Evan glared at the gaping hole in his chest, courtesy of the attack he had received. He fell on the floor, his body covered in a pool of blood.

"EVAN!" Both Hiraki and Ace screamed for their friend in anguish. Evan's body began floating over to CHAOS, who held up by the throat.
"I'm sorry..." He coughed up more blood, some of it landing on CHAOS's face."I'm sorry...my friends..." He closed his eyes, his voice unable to follow his will.'I've failed Rin, I've failed Yugo, I've failed my aunt, I've failed Hiraki, I've failed Ace, I've failed Reina. Man, I'm such a disappointment.' He opened his eyes one last time, his gaze falling on Hiraki."It's up to you..."
CHAOS's touch was able to turn Evan's body to dust, his remains crumbling to the floor and leaving ashes on the floor.
Yusho, who had lost his Duel, gazed at his son and then at where Evan stood. He cursed himself for not having being able to protect them both. He was now paying for his mistakes. A purple light engulfed his body, leaving a card in his place. Yuri walked over and picked up the card."Evan and now were so stubborn. But at the end of the day, I suppose I should give you points for your bravery. Now..." Yuri smiled at Yuya, who was going deeper and deeper into the darkness.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!' Both Yuya and Hiraki exploded in anger, creating shockwaves with their power.
"Unforgivable!" Hiraki hissed through his teeth. His hair was spikier, and his eyes were glowing in a deep shade of red and green."You killed Evan!"
"Bastard...I will never forgive you!" Yuya roared in rage, facing off against Yuri.
CHAOS observed both of them intently."Not there yet, I'm afraid." He focused back on Hiraki."Did I? If I remember correctly, he was poisoned by some sort of virus that was bound to end his life. With that in mind, I simply put him out of his mystery."
"You don't know that damn it!" Hiraki hissed, his aura increasing in size."You carded the only person who could have saved them! You forced him to watch Rin disintegrating right in front of him! CHAOS! I'm taking you down, once and for all!"
"Not there yet, I'm afraid." CHAOS frown in disappointment."All you need is one final push. Then you'll show me your real power, human. I feel rather generous, so I'll end it by setting a card."
CHAOS hand: 2
"My turn! I draw! I activate the Ritual Spell, Lock of the Truth! I can banish a monster in any graveyard whose Level is equal or higher than the monster I want to summon! The one I choose...is Magatsu Kyukana!"
"What now?" CHAOS narrowed his eyes.
Misfortune Magatsu Kyukana appeared on the field, surrounded by blue flames. It stared down at Hiraki and he stared back."I promise I'll avenge Evan. I'll beat CHAOS for you and him and end this. Forever."
Magatsu Kyunana nodded solemnly as its body began dissipating in the air. Hiraki's gaze softened as his hair went back to normal."Goodbye, Evan..." With a grunt, he continued with his moves."The monster I want to summon is...! Harvoc Nova Ritual Dragon! Luminous dragon surrounded by the righteous dark light! With the horns of a devil and the power of a deity, descend from the realm of perfection who dare to disobey your will! Ritual Summon! Appear, the dark dragon who shines in the light! Level 8! Harvoc Nova Ritual Dragon!"
A blue dragon with black spikes covering its arms and shoulders along with hardened rumpled skin, horns pointing in both directions above its head, colossal dark blue colored wings, long spiky tail, blades on each side of its elbows and numerous dark-colored gems around its body came out of the crater, letting a thunderous roar.

"Now, my Trap Card, open! Order of Chaos! I can activate this card when I control at least 3 different types of monsters on my field! Vice Alpha is Fusion, Vice Omega is XYZ, and Harvoc Nova is Ritual! Now, I can decrease the ATKs of every monster on your field to zero! Furthermore, I draw cards equal to the number of monsters who were affected by its effect! I draw 2 cards!"

A ninja carrying a bomb on his back appeared on the field.

"Little Bomber's effect! I can reduce the Level of a monster on my field by Little Bomber's Level! I target Graceful Sister and reduce her Level by 2!"

"Finally, I tune the Level 4 Graceful Sister with the Level 2 Little Bomber!"
A dark figure covered in dark blue armor that covered most of its body appeared on Yuke's field. Its most noticeable feature was its right arm which was twisted and transformed into a large three-digit claw whose flesh overlaps its entire right arm and shoulder. A pair of green eyes shined through its mask.

"At this moment, Vice Beta's effect activates! I can copy the effect of a monster on your field until the end phase! I cope Baldr's effect and activate it! Vice Beta gains ATKs equal to the combined force of all Light and Dark monsters on the field! Since your monsters' ATK are zero, I can only use monsters on my field."

"I attack Baldr with Spectrum Deva - Vice Beta! Cross of Inifinity!" Vice Beta rose its sword and dashed over to Baldr, slashing him into pieces."
"I activate Baldr's effect from the Graveyard! I can reduce the damage I take to zero by his destruction!"
"Then I attack your Ragnarock with Harvoc Nova! Light of Extinction!" Harvoc Nova howled as it stretched both its legs and arms. The dark gems began to shine in a light-blue as a whitish aura surrounded it. With a loud roar, Harvoc Nova fired the energy from the gems, its aura powering them up as they went towards the egg.
"I activate Ragnarock Phase 1's effect! I can reduce your monster's ATKs to zero and absorb its strength to make its own!"

Hiraki gave a sardonic grin."I activate Vice Alpha's effect! It gains ATKs equal to half of what your monster gained!"

"It ends with this, CHAOS!" Vice Alpha's shield extended itself and the lion face on it opened its jaw.
"Very well, it appears I have no choice. I underestimated you, child." CHAOS folded his arms and braised himself for the impact."Or so I would say. You forced my hand! Behold, human! You are the first one to push Ragnarock to this degree! I activate Door of Heaven's effect! At this moment, I sacrifice Ragnarock Phase 1!"
The eggshell exploded into pieces, creating a huge explosion. A number of tentacles swiftly came out of the smoke and slapped Vice Alpha and all monsters on Hiraki's field, destroying them instantly.

"What just happened...?" Ace gaped, already making out a gigantic silhouette coming out from the smoke.
A monster who possessed a grotesque bulb-like body with long arms and clawed hands, but no visible hind legs, as well as a wide mouth with multiple rows of pointed teeth and a single spike on its chin, was were Ragnarock Phase 1 used to be. Dark veins similar to those of a plant ran along its body, and the endings of its 6 tails resembled leaf buds.

"Ragnarock was forced to evolve in order to overcome your attack." CHAOS cleared the smoke around him by flapping his wings once."I must say, this is intriguing indeed. No one has ever seen this side of Ragnarock before. I commend you. Ragnarock Phase 2's effect allows him to negate an attack, and destroy all monsters on my opponent's side of the field, making them take 400 points of damage per monster."
"That's his phase 2?" Hiraki gulped down the lump in his throat."How many phases does it have...?"
"You don't need to worry. You'll be long dead before you see its true power."
"I set one card face-down! I end my turn!"

"My turn. I draw. Well then, I'll show you what I was referring to."
"Not so fast, CHAOS. I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Sacred Seal of the Underworld! I can Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard and add a "Ritual Spell from my Deck to my hand! I summon Harvoc Nova Ritual Dragon!"

"Now, I can immediately activate the Ritual Spell from my hand! I activate the Ritual Spell, Ultimate Evolution! I send "Harvoc Nova Ritual Dragon" to the graveyard along with Spectral Deva - Chameleon from my hand to use as tributes and Ritual Summon!"
A blue portal opened up behind Harvoc Nova as ghostly arms wrapped around its body and pulled it in.
"Savage monster that feeds from the fear and insecurities of the weak minds across the worlds! Grant me one more surge of power to push through and rule over the peasants that stand in your way! Ritual Summon! Take the world, Level 9! Scanvenger Nova Ritual Dragon!"
A dragon emerged from the portal, wearing a golden helmet with three horns and red markings on the helmet mask and tips of the two horns in the back. Its frontal horn in the front is shaped like a blade. It had golden braces on its wrists and ankles, three golden claws are located on its knuckles near the backhand, and golden talons located on its feet. It has six crimson folded armored wings which looked almost angelic when opened. Its tail had a wrecking ball at the end of it with multiple thorns come out of it. To top it all, it also had multiple gems over its body.

"Very nice, Hiraki!" CHAOS praised the brown-haired teen."I can feel incredible power coming from this monster! Don't disappoint me!"
"Oh, I won't! When Scavenger Nova Ritual Dragon comes to the field, all card effects on your field are negated, including the effects you can activate in your graveyard! Cards negated by this effect cannot be activated it anymore. Furthermore, for every card on your current field that has been shut down, my monster gains 500 ATK! Imperial Hollow!"
"Yes! This is nice! Keep going!" CHAOS laughed maniacally, his hands splayed out."Unfortunately for you, Ragnarock Phase 2 is immune to mere card effects!"
"Tch!" Hiraki clicked his tongue."However, I can negate that continuous Trap of yours and give my monster 500 ATKs!"

"Magnificent. Good, good~! I think I'll end my turn here and watch you grow. I set a card!"

"You'll regret giving me that turn!" Hiraki roared."My turn! I draw! I activate the effect of Spectral Deva - Winged Falcon from my hand! I can equip this card to a monster I control, and give my monster 300 ATKs!"

"It ends with this, CHAOS! Battl-"
"You're desperate, aren't you?" CHAOS cut him off."Desperate of winning this duel."
"I'm not desperate!" Hiraki snapped back."I will take you down, just like I said I would."
"Yes, I understand that part, but have you thought of its efficiency?" CHAOS folded his arms."To be honest, Hiraki, I'm holding back considerably. I did praise you for forcing Ragnarock to its second state, but besides that, I haven't done much else. You have yet to do any sort of damage to me, even with Evan helping you."
"If you're trying to discourage me, you can shove it up your a-"
"I'm not trying to do that." CHAOS interrupted him, his glare intensifying."I'm merely stating a fact. I came here because I felt a strong presence in you. I expected the challenge I've always wanted but such a disappointment I got. You are close, but something is holding you back. You still lack what you need to fight me. And I'm beginning to think I won't find it in you unless. I force you. Very well. It's about time we see the show."
With his fingers snapping, a screen appeared in front of everyone. This time, it was Serena the one who was on display.
"Serena!" Hiraki gasped, his eyes widening in horror."Oh, God, no...!"
"My dear Akaba Leo, is it ready yet?" CHAOS asked, earning a nod from the Professor.
"Prepare to transport the fourth one!" His voice echoed throughout the room.
"No! Stop it, Akaba Leo!" Hiraki's voice cracked."Don't do it! I'll do anything you ask! Just please..." He fell to his knees, lowering his head."Please...don't do this...Don't take her...away from me...please..."
"Well, I suppose if you accept in becoming my servant for all eternity, I can let this go." CHAOS suggested nonchalantly."If you do so, I'll kill this man on the spot and get your princess back. Not a bad deal, right? A God is choosing to help you. You should be grateful."
Leo gritted his teeth, a drop of cold sweat dripping down his face.
Hiraki flinched at his words. He glanced up at him."You...mean it?"
"Don't do it, dumbass!" Ace hissed, trying to get on his feet."He murdered Evan! He's fucking lying to you! Don't you DARE believe him! I'll fucking kill you! Everyone is counting on you! Don't you dare lose!"
Hiraki gaped, turning to face his friend back."But I...I can't lose her!" Hiraki hit the floor."Please...just stop! Don't involve her in this damn it! I'll fight you! I'll give you the fight you want! I'll beat you!"
"I'm glad to hear that. Had you decided to become my servant, I would have killed everyone present." CHAOS chuckled."I truly only want a good fight. Regardless, whatever Leo wants to do, it's up to him. You may proceed."
"Wait, don't!" Hiraki rushed at CHAOS, only to be swatted away like a fly.
"Transport Serena! Now!" The Professor commanded to his scientists as the process began.
"STOP IT!"
"Hiraki." He heard a soft voice in his head. He stared at the screen, noticing Serena's lips moving slow."I'm sorry..."
"What are you...apologizing for...? I don't understand!" Hiraki screamed, his eyes going back to normal as tears streamed down his face."I'm the one who went to the Professor! I'm the one who got tricked by him! I became Yuke because of him and did so many horrible things! I'm the one who got you in this mess! I'm the one who couldn't help you when you were being manipulated by the Doktor! I'm the one who couldn't defeat CHAOS!" His voices had broken down completely and was sobbing loudly."I'm the one...who...should apologize..."
"Hiraki..." He heard her again."I'm sorry I...was not strong...strong enough to have saved you...back then. You came and rescued me from the Dragon Twins while I was at their mercy. Even then, you were brave. And I failed once more when I faced you at Yuke, and I couldn't bring you back. But regardless of all that, I don't think I've said this back, did I? I love you. It's just a weird concept for me because I've always focused on dueling, so this is all new to me. But my heart doesn't like when I say I feel the same way about you. So please, don't blame yourself. I believe in you. I know...you can...win..." Serena's mouth closed again, as her body exploded into particles.
"SERENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Hiraki howled in agony with all his strenght.
"No way...Serena..." Yuya lowered his gaze, tears pouring down his cheeks.
"We were too late...Damn it!" Reiji cursed under his breath.
"Now that we've got that out of the way." CHAOS boomed."Is there something you want to say to me, boy? Was that enough of a push for you to take this seriously?"
"Hiraki!" Yuya rushed over to his friend.
"Hey, where are you going?" Yuri asked irritably."Fine, just don't take too long. I don't have all day."
Yuya ignored Yuri's remarks, and put a supporting hand on Hiraki's shoulder."Hey, Hiraki...? Are you alright?" Hiraki did not respond, he was still crouched down."I know how you feel. What they've done is unforgivable. But we have to continue on. If we don't defeat Yuri and CHAOS, then all of this would have been pointless."
Hiraki reacted at that, his body standing up slowly while he held his head with his right arm. He stared at Yuya.
"What the...?" Yuya noticed his eyes had changed. His sclera was black while his eyes were red and his pupils black."Hiraki...what is this?"
"Serena..." Hiraki said, taking wobbly steps."Serena...she can't be gone, right? This has to be some kind of trick." He gave a short laugh as he observed to his surroundings."She'll come back and smack me on the head for being so clumsy like she's always done!" He accidentally tripped with his shoelaces, landing on his knees again."Why...Why did she have to die?! Why did any of this happen?! It's all my fault!"
"Get a hold of yourself, damn it!" Ace sneered at Hiraki."We can fix this! Just focus on defeating him!"
"Defeating him...?" Hiraki glanced up at CHAOS."That's right. I have to kill him. If I don't...all of this would have been for nothing. I HAVE TO KILL HIM, GOD DAMN IT!" His aura flared up again, creating a shockwave of energy."Scavenger Nova Ritual Dragon! Attack Ragnarock Phase 2! Imperial Scatter Shot!"
"Unfortunately, you failed. Instead of harnessing your rage, you are just exploding like a behemoth. Such a disappointment. Ragnarock Phase 2 stops battle thanks to its effect! Furthermore, your monster is destroyed!"
"I activate Winged Falcon's effect! By detaching it from Scavenger Nova, I avoid destruction, and I get to attack once more!" Scavenger Nova opened its mouth as its wings began to shine in crimson. The gems on its body began to shine in blue and their energy began going into a powerful beam of energy!
"How futile. I suppose you weren't the one I was looking for." CHAOS lamented, shaking his head."Alright, I activate Ragnarock Phase 2's second effect! I can target an attacking monster, and for the remainder of this turn, it gains double its ATKs!"
"WHAT?!"

The gigantic monster opened its mouth, creating a ball of black energy and fired it at an unseeable speed at Scavenger Nova, turning its body into ashes.
Hiraki screamed as the shockwave sent him flying against the wall.

"No way!" Ace looked in horror."He lost!"
"I should have jumped in...!" Reiji gritted his fists tightly, drawing blood."It's up to Yuya to win now!"
"Hiraki!" Yuya cried out.
"You should concentrate on our duel. It's rude to ignore someone, you know?" Yuri taunted, flashing his trademark grin."How about I show you Yugo's monster? It's a shame we won't be having Harvoc Nova join us, but oh well."
CHAOS flew over to Hiraki's unmoving body, scowling."What a waste of my time. Here I was, thinking I would get a proper challenge. Humans have grown weaker over the years, haven't they? Well, I suppose the least I can do is kill you. That way, you'll be reunited with your loved one. Consider it my parting gift."
Hiraki opened his eyes, noticing he was floating in a dark void with no sign of anything else."I lost..."
"Indeed, you did." Kumai appeared on his side."But you are not done yet, are you?"
"It's no use..." Hiraki whimpered."I'm not strong enough...After everything I've been through, I thought I'd have the power to face anything."
"Well, we are fighting a God, after all. But it's not too late." Kumai trailed off, followed by a sinister laugh."I gave you all the power I could, but unless you are willing to make a new deal, I won't be able to boost you even more."
"A deal...?"
"That's right. I want you to give me to not only give me access to your body but also your mind. I want you to be willing to offer your very existence to me. That way, I'll be able to make you so strong, you'll be able to take your sweet revenge and kill this bastard. You've seen my power before, so you know I'm not lying."
"Hiraki, don't!" Yuke appeared on the black void, rushing at Hiraki but was grabbed by black tentacles.
"Away with you." Kumai snickered."Why believe in Yuke, knowing he was the cause of all this. Had he not had his little existential crisis, nothing would have happened. So, what do you say, Hiraki? Do we have a deal?"
"Yes!" Hiraki grabbed Kumai's hand and shook it."Please, give me power! I'll give you my whole existence to you! Use me however you see fit!"
"VERY WELL!" Kumai laughed hysterically as the dark void began spinning around, different colors of the rainbow appeared as thin lines.
"Hiraki!" Yuke muffled from his imprisonment to no avail. The deed had been done.
"Now, you die!" CHAOS reached out to grab Hiraki, but a black shield stopped him in his tracks."What is this?"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH" Hiraki screamed as his aura flared up again, prompting CHAOS to jump back in surprise. The aura expanded to the point where it was creating a cloud of darkness above him. His body began to shine brightly before the light split into two parts.
"That's-!" Ace started.
"Yuke?!" Reiji gazed in awe at what he was seeing. Hiraki and Yuke, standing side by side."But how is this possible. Yuke is not another person like Yuto is, so this shouldn't be possible. He's Hiraki!"
Hiraki panted, grabbing his chest in pain as he struggled to catch his breath.
Yuke could not believe what he was seeing. He had his body back, but Hiraki was standing next to him. How was this possible?"Hiraki?"
"Yuke..." Hiraki grumbled under his breath, his dark eyes glowing intensely."I..."
The dark cloud began taking the form of the face of a demon, his eyes were completely empty and had razor-sharp teeth."We will...BECOME ONE!" Two shadows arms formed from the cloud and stretched over to grab Hiraki and Yuke simultaneously.
"Yuke! What's happening?!" Hiraki yelled as he was forced together with Yuke as they both began spinning around in the air.
"I don't know! It must be because of Kumai's doing!" Yuke gritted his teeth."So, it was true after all. My suspicions were correct. Curses! I didn't act in time and now it's too late!"
"What do you mean?!" Hiraki looked behind Yuke in horror as the demonic face opened its jaw and completely devoured them in one go. The power began increasing as the gust of win began intensifying more, forcing everyone to protect themselves and make sure they weren't sent flying somewhere due to the force. The darkness shot upwards, creating a gaping hole on the ceiling. It felt as if the earth itself was shaking uncontrollably.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" A laugh was heard from within the darkness. Just then, the darkness that had spread out began compressing back to its source, creating a bubble of dark clouds. With a snap of their fingers, the darkness exploded, dissipating it throughout their surroundings as they all felt the incredible power from within.
"Oh, darling~! Oh, my darling~! Oh, my darling Clementine! Thou are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry, Clementine~!" A voice sang from within the smoke. As the smoke cleared out, the features of a person could be identified. The new person in front of them wore black shoes, black cargo pants, and a gold belt. He had a sapphire-colored shirt with a sleeveless black jacket. He had fingerless gloves and had piercing golden eyes. To top it all, his hair was messy, but its most distinguishable features were its colors. His hair was black, but the highlights were brown as they went over his forehead.
"Like she was and like a fairy, and her shoes were number 9. Herring boxes without topses, sandals were for Clementine~!" The young man grinned from ear to ear."Ah, I'm sorry. I take it you all must be extremely confused, but don't worry! I'll explain it. I am neither Yuke nor Hiraki." He splayed his arms out."My name is Yumi Black. And I'm the one who will destroy everything."
