"Hello, hello!? Testing! One, two, okay," said the old man with the microphone. He stood on one of the four arenas. He wore the monk outfit that many of the workers wore. "Well, um, first we'd like to thank each one of you fighters for coming all this way for the tournament, because if you didn't come, there wouldn't be much of a show to watch.

"If anyone here is of the counting nature, you may of notices that there are 137 fighters packed into this hall, representing countries and species from all over the world!"

"137!" freaked out Krillin. "And half of them have kneecaps taller than I am!"

"Don't worry about it Krillin!" said Chisa with a smile as Krillin look depressed.

"Unfortunately, out of all you guys here, only eight will get a chance to fight in front of the crowds in the tournament finals. So, fight hard in the elimination round and let's try not to have any whining," said the old man, annoyed. "Now listen to the rules carefully, because I can't stand repeating myself. You'll be divided into four tournament blocks and the top two from each block will advance to the finals.

"We'll be playing single elimination. A person loses when they land outside the ring, lose consciousness, or says 'I give up,' but killing your opponent is strictly forbidden. Anyone who does so will be disqualified. And no weapons either. Claws may be used, but only if they're natural. Fights that aren't finished in one minute will be decided by points.

"Now please move to the boxes and take a number. You can look on the boards to find your place. And please, no trading."

"It looks like 93 for me," said Krillin as he opened his paper. He then looked at his two friends. "What about you guys."

"Uh, it looks like a seven and a zero," said Goku, confused.

"That's 70, Goku," said Chisa with a giggle.

"It looks like you two are in block three," said Yamcha with a smile.

"Oh no! That's bad!" said a scared Krillin. "I don't want to go up against Goku!"

"But we're opposite ends, so you don't have to fight me," said Goku as he looked at the board.

"Oh, too bad," said a relieved Krillin, causing Chisa to giggle.

"What's your number, Yamcha?" asked Goku.

"I'm 35, that's block two," said Yamcha with a smile. He then looked at Chisa. "What about you, Chisa?"

"That's a secret! But I can tell you that I won't be fighting any of you!" said the girl with a laugh.

"This is perfect. I didn't want to be put in the same tournament block as you guys."

"But why not?" asked a confused Goku.

"Ah! So, you were scared, just like me!" said Krillin which a smirk.

"That's not it. I just want to wait for the real tournament. That's where the ring is bigger and there's no time limit to stop us. I've been waiting for this, Goku, so you better make it through!" said Yamcha with a smirk. Goku smiled in return.

"Oh, I'll make it!" he declared.

"Well, then, I'll see you in the ring," said Yamcha as he turned to walk away.

"I guess I should get going too!" said Chisa with a grin. The boys smiled at her.

"Good luck Chisa!" said Goku with a giant smile.

"Good luck to the both of you, too!" said Chisa with a wave as she then turned to walk away.

Chisa walked for a while and found were she was supposed to be.

"This is gonna be so much fun!" said Chisa in happiness, causing those around her to look at her.

"What's a little girl doing here?" asked a random person.

"She's gonna go crying to mama," said another with a laugh, causing others to laugh.

'I'll show them!' thought Chisa with a determined grin.

Chisa waited for some time as she watched other people fight, all the while, ignoring what the people around her were saying. She finally hears her number called.

"Yes!" said Chisa as she jumped onto the stage. Everyone got quite and looked at her, then they started laughing.

"How is that little girl going to do anything?" said someone from the crowed.

"No way! She's gonna start crying!" laughed someone else.

"This is who I fight?" said a large man. He was huge, almost like her father. He had blond hair and blue eyes. He wore shorts, a t-shirt, and some shoes. He laughed.

"You should never underestimate your opponent," advised Chisa. Everyone just laughed.

"Let the fight begin!" said the proctor.

"Give up little girl!" laughed the man. Everyone laughed with him.

Chisa just looked at the man. In a matter of seconds, she was behind the man. Everyone watched in shock as the man fell over, knocked out.

"I guess that means I advance?" asked Chisa to the proctor with a smile. The man just nodded his head in shock. She then looked out into the crowed. "Never underestimate a little girl!"

This went on for some time. Chisa, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha fought their opponents, match after match, and, after an hour of easy fights, or so thought the group of four, they made it to the next round.

"Well, this is gonna be a long day," said Yamcha with a smile as the kids held hands and jumped around, all happy they were going to be able to advance.
