John Mulhern would go to Cheers for lunch during the week. Of course, he didn't have any alcohol, but he only went to see Sam and Nora. Both had told their spouses and Frasier set out to investigate the man. It was highly possible that Nora and Sam's mother lied about John. I mean she's a freaking loon.

"Mama!" Nora was wiping a table when she heard her sons.

"Hey," Nora hugged her boys and helped them settle at a table. Sam and Carla brought over floats and pretzels for the kids. Frederick was now in middle school, but he still loved doing 'kid' things with his siblings. John saw this and smiled at the image.

"So, I have to do a project about my family heritage," Frederick said, "my teacher told me that I could include you, mama, but I don't know if you want me to."

"You can include me, but if you could just leave out the mob stuff I'd really appreciate it," Nora smiled.

"You got it, but you'll have to come up with a lie that's just as interesting," Frederick joked.

One day Nora walked into work irritated, "Hey honey, what's wrong?" Sam asked

"Well, Frasier had an early meeting so I had to get the boys up and ready for school on my own. Then Savannah threw up on Ella, so I had to clean both of them up. Lenora spilled grape juice all over the couch, and my car wouldn't start."

"You know that you could have called us to help you," Carla said.

"I was so busy being pissed that I didn't even think to call anyone," Nora said.

"Well, why didn't you call me to pick you up?" Sam asked.

"I'm going to answer everyone's questions before you ask anymore. I didn't think to," Nora said angrily.

John had been sitting at the bar when Nora came in, "I can take a look at your car if you'd like me to."

Nora thought for a moment, "actually that would be great. Thank you."

"Sure, no problem. I can take a look at it tomorrow."

"That's perfect," Nora said, "here I'll write down the address for you." Nora wrote her address down and handed it to John.

"Is eleven in the morning alright?"

"That's fine, and thanks again."

"I'll take you home after work," Sam said.

"You better because I already told Frasier you were," Nora smiled and went to work.

The next day, the doorbell at Frasier and Nora's rang at exactly eleven. Nora answered the door and John could hear the children playing. "Hi, thanks again," Nora said, "here are the keys."

"I'll take a look," John smiled.

"Would you like to stay for lunch?"

"I don't want to intrude."

Frasier had told Nora that John was telling the truth. That the background check confirmed it, "it's no trouble. I have three children to feed anyway."

"Then I would love to."

Forty-five minutes later John had Nora's car running. He walked into the house to give Nora her keys, "Nora!" Nora came out from the kitchen, "you needed a new battery. I got you one and changed it."

"Thank you so much. What do I owe you?"

"Nothing," John handed her keys back, "just consider it a gift. I owe you a lot of those," John laughed.

"Well, thank you. Lunch is ready if you're hungry."

"Where can I wash up?" Nora showed John to the bathroom and showed him where the kitchen was so he could join them after. When John walked into the kitchen he found Nora with three beautiful toddlers. "Who are these little ladies?"

Nora pointed at a girl with honey blonde hair, "this is Savannah," then she pointed at a girl with hair similar to her sister's but a bit darker, "this is Ella," and then finally to a strawberry blonde, "and this little girl was a big surprise. This is Lenora."

"Surprise?"

"We were told we were having twins, but she surprised us when I gave birth. Girls this is mama's daddy," Nora said, putting a smile on John's face. The girls all waved and said hi to the man.

"They are beautiful," John said.

"Thank you," Nora smiled as the two took their seats.

"I saw you with three young boys and an older boy the other day."

"Those are my sons. The twins, Anthony and Charles. We just call them Tony and Charlie. Then Henry is a year younger than his brothers. The oldest is Frasier's son, Frederick, from his first marriage."

"You know Charles is my middle name?"

"Really?"

"Yeah, Johnathan Charles Mulhern."

"That's kind of cool. What would you like the children to call you? They call Frasier's father grandpa, but they can call you that too."

"I used to call my grandfather 'pop' so how about that?"

"Pop!" the girls took turns saying.

Nora and John chuckled, "I think we have a winner," Nora said. "By the way, I call Frasier's father, 'dad'."

"Okay," John said casually and went back to his lunch.

"Do you have to work today?"

"No, I took the day off."

"If you don't have any other plans, then would you like to spend the day here?"

"I'd love to, thank you."

"You're welcome, daddy."
