Games Kung fu warriors play

BTW: I am well aware it has been weeks since I decided I would write this mini-series at one point, but I've had lots going on and honestly, it hasn't really been top on my list of priorities, not that I didn't want to write it, cause I did, but I've got quite a few Fan Fiction's on the go at the moment, not to mention I haven't even started fixing the grammar of the English Prince story and reposting it, but it's here now, so Yay!

Truth or Dare

The warriors, all six of them despite the lateness of the hour, were sitting around the kitchen table in the dark hours of the winter dusk.

They'd finished their dinner many hours ago but none of them felt the particular need to go to sleep yet, so they sat at the table, dirty dishes and cups still strewn across it, chattering and laughing together, until an idea zoomed into the forefront of Monkey's brain and he nearly fell of his chair in excitement.

"Hey guys!" he cried, hastily interrupting the others conversations so as not to let the idea slip out of his memory. "Let's play a game, I know the perfect one!"

At first the others looked tentative. Any game Monkey enjoyed could only mean god knows what for them.

"What is it?" Crane asked carefully, peeking cautiously at the primate from under his shady rice hat.

"Truth or Dare!" Monkey proclaimed proudly.

Viper, Mantis and Po all looked excited at the prospect, Crane groaned and Tigress just looked confused.

"What's Truth or Dare?" she asked Monkey who clasped a human-like hand to his mouth and pretended to faint dramatically.

"You haven't heard of Truth or Dare?" He shouted in outrage.

"Well obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have asked, would I?" Tigress replied snarkily. "How do you play?"

"You really have been living under a rock, haven't you?" Mantis sighed.

"Oh shut up, basically Tigress, we spin a bottle of some description, if it lands on you, you are given a choice of Truth or Dare and then you have to choose one of them, or else you get a forfeit." Viper explained calmly. "Honestly, it's quite enjoyable."

Tigress looked intrigued. "Ok then, let's try."

"Alright, here we go." Mantis clapped his pinches together excitedly, grabbed a small herb shaker from the kitchen pantry, (staggering slightly due to the weight) and handed it to Viper, who spun it around on the centre of the glinting wooden table using her tail.

The warriors watched with bated breath as it spun and spun, the glass of the bottle glinting in the candlelight and the herbs crushing to either side, until it came to a sudden stop in front of Monkey.

"Right," Viper continued in her usual, soft-spoken tone. "Monkey, Truth or Dare?"

Monkey took a little longer to decide then Viper had. He scrunched his nose up and clicked his tongue, thinking carefully all the while until he finally stated; "Dare."

Viper smiled gleefully and slithered away to the pantry. She came back moments later with a large spoonful of something dark red and flaky.

"What's that?" Monkey asked, curiosity mixed with a hint of fear in his voice.

"Chilie powder, I dare you to eat the whole spoonful." Viper replied, smirking.

The others gasped quietly and glanced at each other, Monkey just rolled his eyes and snatched the taunting spoon from Viper's tail.

"I warn you, it's a lot hotter than it looks." Viper slunk back to her seat and watched him intently.

"Whatever, it can't be that bad." Monkey responded airily, and he placed the spoon of Chilie powder into his mouth.

At first, he couldn't taste anything more than a slight tint of Chilie and he turned to Viper, with a boastful grin on his face.

"Can't taste a thing." He shrugged.

Viper just took a sip of her tea and smirked at him again from behind her teacup.

Then the full force of the Chilie powder re-acted to Monkey's throat, and he felt it burst into flames of pain.

His chubby face turned an angry shade of red and he bolted towards the bucket of water in the corner of the kitchen and dunked his whole head in it.

The other's collapsed into raucous laughter, even Tigress's mouth was curving up slightly at the corners to show she was amused.

"That was Frigging awful!" Monkey whined as he sloshed gallons and gallons of the cool water over his face, staggering away from the bucket with a soaked head. "Viper!"

He shot her an icy glare as he sat back down, to which Viper just covered her mouth with her tail, even though he could clearly see her body shaking with laughter, and tried to smile apologetically at him.

He swung the bottle around, and this time it landed on Po.

"Ohhhh!" the great panda started bouncing excitedly up and down in his seat like a child. "Um, Truth!"

"Would you rather walk around naked for a day," At this Crane and Mantis snorted loudly and Viper and Tigress both glanced at each other wide-eyed. "Or have your thoughts appear over your head in little thought bubbles for everyone to read?"

Po's mouth fell into a wide 'O' of shock and his brows furrowed as he thought, His Jade eyes continually avoiding glancing at Tigress' slit-like amber ones. "Umm, the first one." Imagine if Tigress could read what I think about her, I think I'd be dead within the hour.

"Wait really? You'd walk around naked all day instead of having your thoughts appear in speech bubbles for everyone to read?" Mantis asked in shock.

"Ye-Yes." Po stuttered in response. I can't look at Tigress, don't look at Tigress, she'd kill me if she knew.

The others looked shocked but made no move to pursue their questioning.

"My go." Now it was Po's turn to spin the container and this time it landed on Mantis. "Mantis buddy, Truth or Dare?"

"Dare." Mantis said at once, before Po had even finished talking.

"Ok," Po clicked his tongue and glanced around at the others. "Any ideas guys?"

"I have one." Crane replied airily, looking, for probably the first time in his life during one of Monkey's games, actually interested.

He leant over and whispered something inaudible into Po's ear, who let out a bark or laughter and snorted into his drink. "That's brilliant!"

"What is it?" Mantis asked uncertainly.

"Ahem," Po cleared his throat loudly and stuck his nose in the air as if he was announcing the emperor's arrival. "I dare you to run down to the village, stand in the centre of it and yell; I, Master Mantis, hereby assign my resignation to the Jade palace."

"What?!" Mantis, Viper and Tigress all yelled at once. (Monkey still being pre-occupied with drinking an entire gallon of Milk to stop his throat setting on fire again)

"Master Shifu would kill you!" Tigress gasped, turning to Crane with an angry glower splattered over her face. "Why would you suggest that?"

"No, you plum, not actually resign." Crane rolled his eyes dramatically. "Just say it to the village."

"But I'll lose all my fans!" whined the emerald bug indignantly.

"Oh, you're being ridiculous, it'll be fine come on!" Viper smiled, already opening the kitchen door and leading them into the hallway.

It didn't take long to get into the village. Mainly because when Po had his usual trip up on the first step, he accidently brought all the other warriors down with him.

Mantis gave Crane and Po both a strenuous glare before hopping onto the tallest buildings in the village roof, and shouted; "People of the Valley of peace!"

Windows and doors to all sides of the warriors were flung open at the shout of the loved master and villagers in their night gear stuck their heads out looking confused.

"I hereby assign my resignation to the Jade palace." Mantis finished with a grimace towards Po and Crane. "I am no longer Master Mantis."

The villagers erupted into noise at once, whispering and staring at Mantis with faces of grim disbelief.

"How could he abandon us like this?"

"What are we going to do when evil approaches?"

"Selfish bug!"

They gave him a final scathing glare and slammed their windows and doors leaving the warriors standing in the dark village streets, bent double with laughter.

"You are so getting it." Mantis growled to Crane as they began heading back up the Jade palace steps. "So, so getting it."

Crane glanced at him sincerely then couldn't help himself and let out a snort of laughter. "Why are you blaming me?" he spluttered through his mirth.

"Because you came up with the bloody idea!" Mantis yelled in response, shaking his pinchers around in elaboration.

"I think it was brilliant!" Viper giggled through her tail. "Definitely thought through I'll give you that," she grinned at Crane who tipped his hat gentlemanly towards her.

"Crane, Truth or Dare?" Mantis crowed randomly as they

approached the final steps up to the palace.

"It's not my go." Crane replied adamantly, tipping his hat back up. "We need to spin the bottle."

"I mean you'll get your turn at some point, why can't it just be now?" Mantis countered looking a cheeky kind of gleeful which made Crane immediately regret offering Po his dare idea.

"That's not really how it works but sure I guess." Crane shifted uncomfortably as the group re-entered the palace and made their way to the kitchen once more.

"Who is your crush?"

There was an immediate silence after that statement bar a slight snort from Po. "Mantis, Crane doesn't have a crush. You're being ridiculous!" he guffawed good-naturedly.

"Oh really?" Mantis hopped onto the kitchen table, and then onto Crane's beak, looking him dead in the eye.

"Yes." Crane responded curtly, looking thoroughly put out at the bug sitting on his beak and breaking his extremely important rule of personal space. "Now get off."

"Fine." Mantis hopped lightly off Crane's beak and as he did, he stated airily; "Viper, Crane has a crush on you."

"What?!" Monkey's question slash-gasp seemed to resonate with all the master's thoughts at that moment.

"Ridiculous." Crane stated plainly turning away from the table, though his cheeks tinted pink under his shady rice hat, he kept his calm demure.

"Really?" Mantis pushed, cocking his head to the side eagerly, not convinced by the Avion's dodgy response.

Viper was just sitting quietly, thinking over the last month or so and her interactions with Crane, as she though she noticed, quite to her surprise, that her cheeks were blushing scarlet.

"I do not have a crush on Viper." Crane stated slowly and clearly, as if he was trying to speak to someone in Australia.

"So, are you saying you wouldn't date Viper?" Monkey chimed in to the debate, looking gleeful, causing Viper's head to fly up in an instant to stare at the Avion.

"What? that's completely unrelated." Crane shook his head adamantly.

"No, it isn't." Monkey and Mantis were enjoying this far too much. "Come on, say it."

"No," Crane replied, rubbing his legs and tipping his hat down. "None of your business." The glow in his cheeks looking brighter than ever.

"Look, if he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to." Viper cut in as she noticed Crane's embarrassment divulge further.

"Fine, fine." Mantis sighed, pretending to look defeated. Unnoticed by the occupant, he bounded onto Crane's hat again and whispered; "Is that a yes, you would date Viper?"

"Shut up and get off!" Crane flapped his wings violently and shook his head until Mantis was forced to hop off.

"Alright, alright!" Tigress interrupted the argument with a hammer on the table with her paw, bored of the conversation. "Let's keep playing, Crane ask me."

"Ok, truth or dare?" Crane asked, tipping his hat back above his eyes.

"Dare. Now I know what happens when someone choses Truth." Tigress blinked her eyes momentarily in the direction of Monkey and Mantis.

"Ok," Crane fell silent for a minute as he thought. "I dare you to take a can of blue paint from the cupboard and coat Master Shifu in it while he's sleeping."

"You've got to be kidding me." Tigress growled as the other shared amazed looks. "I'm going to kill you Crane." She yelled threateningly as she headed towards the cupboard of paint and tools in the last room of the barracks hallway.

"That's if Master Shifu doesn't kill her first." Mantis hissed to Monkey who nodded in agreement as they bounded after Tigress to watch her complete the dare.

Tigress yanked the splintered door open and a heap of dust fell in a sheet over her, complete with a dead mouse to add to the effect. Spluttering and throwing her arms out to stop herself walking into cobwebs, she dropped to her knees and started searching for the blue paint.

A few minutes later she reappeared, looking as if she was a walking ghost because of the amount of dust sprinkled over her, and headed towards Master Shifu's room, the others hot on her heels.

"This is ridiculous." Hissed Viper to Tigress. "Who knows what a sleep-deprived, extremely furious, Master Shifu could do? You're better of going with truth."

"No, shut up." Tigress carefully pushed on the master's door and it creaked open to reveal a peaceful Shifu sleeping contently, in a silver night robe.

Tigress tiptoed forward and dipped the paintbrush into the bucket, she brought it out drizzling in the liquid, and hovered it over Shifu's body, looking tentative.

"You can turn back now." Viper whispered fearfully. "I think that's good enough."

"No way, you've got to complete the dare Tigress!" Monkey drooped down beside her and snorted with supressed laughter at the sight of the sleeping master.

Tigress ignored her comrade's squabbles and dropped the paintbrush carefully onto Master Shifu's robe and began to paint.

There was complete silence as she worked, covering his robe, his legs, arms and even his great red-panda ears. Now the only thing left was his face and he hadn't even moved an inch.

Tigress squinted her eyes, tensed her muscles (she saw Crane and Po back slowly out of the room out of the corner of her sight) and began to paint.

"What are you doing Tigress?!" it wasn't even a question, just a roar. Master Shifu blinked at her, then his eyes felt to the window beside his bed and saw, quite clearly, the reflection of what could be now called a blue panda.

He was positively shaking with anger.

Tigress groaned as she opened her eyes, her vision was blurred and she rubbed an ache in her temple, trying to sooth it.

She carefully peeled open her eyes and found herself lying in one of the beds in the hospital wing of the Palace. She recognised it for its white-washed walls and distinct detergent smell.

She heard another creature groaning and, wincing, she slowly turned her head to see Viper lying in the bed next to her; black and blue with bruises and wrapped up with bandages in several places. She knew she must look something similar.

"So Viper, Truth or Dare?"
