Here is a emotional oneshot that takes place in Sonic Forces.

The game wasn't too bad, but it felt rushed, not like Sonic 06 and Boom, but still it was kinda rushed. Though I thought the writing was the worst part of the game, a huge amount of characters were OOC. I think they wrote Tails the worst, because they made him weaker then in other games, even the Sonic Adventure games did better, what made me mad the most is when Tails cowered in fear and said: "SONIC, HELP ME!"

That wasn't the Tails we know, the Tails we know is braver, has more courage, and helps Sonic rather then leave him to do everything! AAUGH!

I better calm down before I literally explode, like in Mario Mentions.

Now I wanted to write this because I thought when Sonic and Tails reunited, it didn't feel right. I thought they would allow them to hug it out and even show emotion (which is something SEGA should definitely do, even if they don't want too), but they were JUST happy, couldn't they show more emotions then just saying I'M HAPPY?! *angry sigh*

Okay, I need to stop that rant because I need to calm down, and we've got a oneshot to see!

Now be warned, this may be very emotional, so grab lotsa tissues.

"Sonic!" A voice exclaimed, Sonic the Hedgehog somehow found the voice to be familiar, it sounded like…

...Miles, wait no…

...Tails.

"T-Tails?" Sonic asked, he was surprised to see him.

"Sonic!" Tails ran to Sonic and laughed happily, "You're okay! I thought you were dead, but you're here! I've missed you so much!"

However, Sonic froze when he saw his best brotherly friend, Tails. He missed the fox so much, he couldn't say a word, he was just as frozen as ice. Tails saw him and became confused.

"Sonic?" Tails asked, "Are you okay?"

Sonic snapped out of it and regained his senses.

"I'm f-fine, little bro," Sonic replied shakily, "I am very relieved you are okay, little bro."

"I'm relieved you're okay too, big bro."

They were silent at first, before Sonic broke the silence.

"T-Tails?" Sonic asked, "C-can we pl-please go somewhere p-private?"

"Uhh… sure?" Tails had never seen Sonic act like this, and his confusion turned to worry. He and Sonic walked away from the team so they could talk privately.

"Sonic?" Amy Rose asked, she was worried, small tears were in her eyes because she never seen Sonic broken like that, "I could co-"

"Amy, I think they really need to talk privately," Knuckles told her, "They've been through a lot, so I think we should leave them alone for a bit."

Amy nodded, she felt bad for Sonic, she knew him ever since that Time Traveling adventure, and fell in love with him ever since he saved her from Metal Sonic. She didn't want "no" for an answer, but since they've been through hell throughout the last months, she decided to let them talk privately.

"I just hope they'll be okay," she thought.

Sonic and Tails were in a field, alone. No one was near them, or around them. It was just peaceful, quiet, and calm.

Tails looked at Sonic, he felt worried, he really hated to see him upset.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Tails asked

Sonic didn't want to talk, he felt upset, he felt broken, and most of all…

...he felt like he wanted to cry.

But he also didn't want to, he hated tears. He wanted to teach Tails to act heroic like him, not break down in tears in front of him.

"I really want you to be honest," Tails told him, "It's okay to tell me."

"Tails," Sonic said, his voice shaky, "Do you remember w-when I saved you a long time ago from Ro-Robotnik?"

"Yes," Tails replied, he was even more worried, usually he called him Eggman or some teasing names like Baldy McNosehair, but this was unusual for him to call the mad villain by his true name, Robotnik.

"Why?" He asked

"Well, I re-remembered that moment, and I remember how we b-became best friends after that." Sonic replied.

"Yeah," Tails also remembered that time too, when Robotnik decided to kidnap him, and attempted to send him to space, or as he called it, space him.

"I r-remember when our f-friendship begun," Sonic continued, "the fun moments we've had t-together, and the funny ones as well."

"Th-those were great times." Tails laughed a little, but his voice was also beginning to shake.

"And la-later, you ch-changed a lot, ev-ever since we've m-met."

"Yeah, y-you guys taught m-me a lot of st-stuff." Tails replied, becoming more shook.

"I wa-was glad to have m-met you, T-Tails, because y-you're a tr-true b-best friend."

Tails started to tear up, the emotions were beginning to overtake him, and he was moved from Sonic's words.

"B-but when w-we were in th-that war, I w-was worried yo-you'd get h-hurt." Sonic's voice began to break, "or worse… killed."

Tails teared up even more when he heard that word, because when the war begun, he thought Sonic was killed, and that made him depressed until he returned. He almost choked out a sob at the process.

"I w-was worried yo-you'd get k-killed too." Tails replied, he felt like he was about to break.

"I-I've had ni-nightmares o-of losing y-you for mo-months," Sonic continued, and when he did, tears started to form in his eyes, "I-I really wa-wanted t-to find y-you, so I-I could s-see the s-smile on y-your fa-face."

"S-Sonic." Tails shook even harder as he sniffled.

"I've re-really m-missed you t-the most, li-little bro.", Sonic was about to break, he had been through a lot during these past months, "Without you, I-"

Sonic couldn't hold back the tears anymore, the dam had broken. Sonic collapsed on his knees as he begun to sob.

That was the first time Sonic cried for a while.

Tails rarely saw Sonic break into tears, so when he saw him cry, It broke his heart and he also begun to sob.

"I-I just ca-can't live wi-without you Ta-Tails," Sonic sobbed, "I-I really l-love you."

"S-Sonic", Tails cried, "I LOVE YOU TOO!"

"Oh, buddy!" Sonic finally stopped holding back his tears as he cried. Tails had fell into Sonic's arms as he cried with him. They both hugged each other, as their soft sobbing turned into painfully harsh crying.

They've cried for what felt like hours, and didn't even attempt to hold back tears anymore. It felt painful to hold in all the tears, and when they released them, the pain was released. It showed that they indeed the Unbreakable Bond deep down into their hearts.

Eventually, their crying had subsided as they were calming down, now they were only sniffling quietly.

"Feeling better, Sonic?" Tails asked.

"Yeah," Sonic said, "that cry actually felt good to release."

"I agree," Tails replied before he realized, "I actually just realized something."

"Really?" Sonic asked, "What did you realize?"

"That the war didn't drive us further apart," he explained, "It just brought our brotherly bond closer."

"Yeah," Sonic replied as he and Tails looked at the sunset, "It did."

For the first time in a while, Sonic and Tails smiled, it wasn't a fake smile, it was a true smile.

Even though the war took a toll on them, that wasn't going to tear them apart, it was only going to bring them closer.

*sniffle* I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually cried while writing this! I never knew I could make it so emotional. *bawls*

*PLEASE STAND BY!*

Sorry about that, I just got really emotional while reading this.

If SEGA put this in Sonic Forces though, I would've cried hard.

Sorry if I made you cry in this, but I wanted to make this emotional, especially after those two been through a lot in Sonic Forces.
