This takes place the next day from the battle of the farm in the show timeline so Watertown happened. Also I know that names don't matter in goblin slayer but it is kinda annoying to write characters without names so I'm thinking of adding names cause the spin off shows that the world has names the main series just doesn't care about them. But there will be a rule that the names will be the same or similar to their role so Priestess would become Prentiss, or maybe even Mary, but it becomes what on earth to call everyone else, however that's for a later chapter. So if you have an idea leave a comment and I might use it, if it makes sense.

Also, I haven't read the manga so It might be that he took the day of but because this is based off the show, and a fanfic I'm saying he didn't.

The guild of an out of the way frontier town was oddly quiet for mid day despite it being full of patrons. However these patrons are scattered among the floor and tables of the building, passed out from the party with only the guild inspector still awake as she had managed to avoid celebrating too hard. Unfortunately her co worker was not spared in the same way and is already several hours late.

"She's lucky that everyone else is in the same state." The inspector thought to herself as she quietly completed her paperwork. When the door opened and a familiar set of filthy armor walked into the guild, not paying any mind to the left over adventurers on the scattered on the tables and floor simply looking at the board and taking a goblin quest over to the reception desk.

"Goblins." Surprisingly in the same tone as always despite the fact that he was a center of attention for most off the party only leaving to take his red haired friend back to the farm.

"But of course Mister Goblin Slayer, but after the battle yesterday, I would think that you would take the day off to rest and recover." The Inspectors curiosity was peaked as was one of the more injured adventurers. Giving him even more reason to take the day of rest but here he is.

"The Goblins won't take a day off so neither will I." Despite being in the same even mono-tone that he always uses these words felt more forceful then usual. Like he's had to repeat himself a few too many times for his liking.

"It's quite admirable that you feel this way but haven't you killed enough of them yesterday?" The silence that followed this question sent chills down the inspectors spine as despite knowing that Goblin Slayer rarely reacts with anything other than disinterest. She could almost believe that underneath the full face covering helmet was a withering glare that would be more than enough to kill even the Goblin Lord himself. Directed at her for asking such a stupid question.

"Only when I've killed every single goblin will I have killed enough." Was the cold reply before he turned around and mechanically walked out the door.

"Oh my god." she sighed a full five minutes after he left, finally able to relax. "What on earth could she see in him, he's completely lost it."

"Who lost what?" Was the quiet replay from a very familiar female voice, behind the inspector.

"Your knight in rusted armor." The slight jab came out almost on reflex as she turned to face her blonde coworker. Who was very clearly hung over from the celebration the night before. "Like I've told you before he's completely mental, what on earth do you see in him."

"He's not that bad." Was the meek reply as she took her usual seat and slowly started on her work. "he's just very driven to complete his goal, plus he's actually really sweet if you give him the chance."

"you are a bias source if you can't see how much he lost it. I asked him to reconsider taking a quest earlier and I could feel he make my skin crawl." The inspector explained before having her ears damaged by the yell from her partner.

"YOU MEAN I MISSED HIM!" Guild Girls face was completely stricken before she realized what the Inspector meant. "AND HE TOOK A QUEST! BUT WHAT ABOUT HIS INJURIES NOT TO MENTION—"

"HEY KEEP IT DOWN IT'S TO EARLY FOR THIS!" Yelled one of the patrons who was trying to tune out the noise with his own voice.

"Oh sorry sir."

"Now look what you've done, and it was such a quiet day to." Inspector scolded as she began to hear the moans of those just now waking.

"ugh my head."

"wh..what time is it?"

"five more minutes."

It was like the domino effect as one adventurer began to wake so did everyone else, until the whole guild was fill with the white noise of the adventurers.

After everyone woke up and began to recover they slowly began to look at the board all except for a familiar party.

"where is Orcbolg? He didn't drink to much, and the farms not to far away so he should be here." Complained the High Elf to her fellow representatives.

"It's is strange not seeing him here but perhaps he is completing some errands for his friend at the farm?" Suggested the Lizard Priest to the archer.

"Oh give it a rest long ears you've been whining for the last half hour if you want to know where Beardcutter is then why don't you just go to the farm and ask." The dwarf said turning to see Priestess and Cowgirl both walk in talking to each other. "Ahh it looks like you're whining just saved you a trip."

"Shut it you wine barrel." The elf shot back but still waved the two over.

"Good afternoon you guys, have you seen Goblin Slayer today he was gone by the time I woke up?" Cow Girl said as she took her seat next to Lizard priest.

"We had the same inquiry as you actually. Perhaps he went on a quest while we were all recovering from the celebration." Answered the Lizard-man thoughtfully.

"I hope not even with my minor heal and a nights rest he still shouldn't go by himself." The Priestess said worriedly.

"Fret not child Beardcutter is made of sturdy stock, he'll be fine on his own. Quite frankly I fully expect him to walking in thru the door as we speak." The whole table turned to the door and fell silent as the door began to open with the clanking of armor until it was revealed to be disappointed when Heavy Swordsman and his party walked in from their training.

"You two need to practice more even after a battle like yesterday you should always take time to improve your skills." The human mountain explained to the young porcelains.

"Yes sir." They groaned back tired but still thankful and respectful before sitting at a table behind the party, next to Spearman and Witch who have been debating what to order as a late lunch.

"Well despite Orcbolg being fine on his own we're his party and he should have at least waited for us before getting a quest." Complained the archer returning the conversation back to it's original topic.

"I'm sure he just didn't want to disturb your rest by making you join him, he did the same to me with my chores around the farm." The farmers niece tried to explain.

"Actually that brings me to a question I've been wondering for a while now. Why does Orcbolg stay on the farm? He has more than enough money for a house in town or to stay in the guild, so why is he two hours away from town?" The Elven Princess asked, and unbeknownst to them managing to get their small corner of the guild to go quiet.

"Oh well my uncle lets him stay… as a favor to me." Was the meek and somewhat embarrassed replay.

"What ho, young love I imagine your uncle wouldn't want you and Beardcutter to have a roll in the hay now But —."

"N—NO ittt's nothing like that we're just friends… from childhood." There was even more silence after the outburst as more people started to pay attention most even hearing the last part.

"You and Goblin Slayer have been friends since childhood." Despite being asked as a clarification question, the tone of disbelief that came with Spearman's comment made it sound like a statement.

"Well yes… we have." Cow girl responded just now noticing how many eyes are on her.

"Imagine that a little Goblin Slayer running around in that helm of his going I'm kill all the gawblins!" After Female paladin's remark everyone burst out laughing except for Cow girl who was thinking about how different her friend has been from how she knew him.

"Actually when he was a kid he didn't want anything to do with goblins." This shocked everyone but they didn't dare interrupt. "he actually wanted to be a adventurer and slay mighty dragons."

"Orcbolg wanting nothing to do with goblins are you kidding me." The elf all but shouted.

"Now now Long-ears let the girl finish."

"You walking wine barrel—."

"So what was Goblin Slayer like as a kid?" Priestess interrupted the bickering to find out more about her sudo-mentor.

"I was nothing but trouble." Was the stoic response from behind Cow Girl startling everyone to the fact the Goblin Slayer not only sneaking up on half the guild without issue but also that they we're talking behind his back.

"You a… troublemaker… Goblin Slayer… surely… you jest." Witch said slowly not believing her ears.

"No I don't." Was all he said before turning to the registration desk to turn in his solo quest.

"So Orcbolg if you wanted to slay a dragon before why don't we take a dragon slaying mission."

"No."

"Why not."

"Because eradicating Goblins takes priority."

"Why is that? Why do you say that goblins are more important than everything else? And if your so knowledgeable about Goblins then where do they come from?" Spearman asked arrogantly

"The green moon. they come from the green moon." Was all that was said before he. Took another goblin quest not even only looking at the others walked plainly to the desk and accepted the quest, but before he could reach the door Heavy swordsman yelled a question that stopped him in his tracks.

"Who told you that?"

"My older sister and she was never wrong." With that he was gone with the rest of his party running after him and Cow girl seeing the opportunity took her leave.

"He has a sister?"

So not gonna lie it's really weird seeing my story as the most recent upload but it's a good strange. But I have college starting on the first and I'm in three clubs, on top of my time consuming major, so I won't be uploading for a while. Also I tried to prevent plagiarism but the inspiration for this chapter came from 'Heart Slayer' by Faptime I can recommend the first ten or so chapters but check it out for yourself if you want. But if you really Don't like it then look at "Goblin Slayer's Daughter" it's only three chapters but it's really interesting.
