The Arranged Marriage

For the next nineteen and a half years, Prince Isaac lived a life where he was raised well by his parents. During the years, Isaac grew into a young man who was well educated and went through much training with the knowledge that he would eventually become the next ruler of Hyrule though he didn't know about the fact that the death of his parents was slowly approaching just like the rest of Hyrule. While he was well acquainted with many in Hyrule, he didn't have many friends which did concern both Link and Zelda for they knew it meant they needed to arrange for him to marry.

It was a gorgeous day at Hyrule Castle and during this time Isaac was in his tutoring session with his tutor, Tasha, who was teaching him the history of Hyrule.

"The great Calamity took many lives in Hyrule," explained Tasha who was teaching about the Great Calamity, "Including the four Champions and the King of Hyrule and was thought by many to have also killed the Princess and her appointed knight."

"I know Tasha," said Isaac who was bored and knew the story well, "My father was taken to the Shrine of Resurrection after taking grave wounds and my mother who had finally unlocked her powers faced Ganon and held him back which stopped the calamity for one hundred years."

"Don't interrupt Your Highness," said Tasha, "I know you know what your parents taught you but knowing it all properly is important." "They might have witnessed it, but even they didn't know everything such as the Gorons were harmed when Death Mountain erupted viciously or how the Yiga Clan attacked Gerudo Town killing many strong warriors until Her Majesty held back Calamity Ganon stopping both the eruption and the attack."

"I just don't see why I need to know that much history." complained Isaac.

"History can repeat if forgotten," explained Tasha," "Calamity Ganon may be gone but darkness will always try to return." "Anyway, that's enough for today." "You may leave."

After his tutoring was finished, Isaac decided to go to the stable to check out the horses which he really liked to do. Before he got there however, a soldier went to him.

"Parden the intrusion Prince Isaac, but your mother wishes to see you," said the soldier, "She's in her study right now."

"Alright then," replied Isaac who then went to his mother's study.

After a few minutes, Isaac arrived at the queen's study and knocked on the door knowing it was needed whenever his mother was in there.

"You can enter," responded Zelda.

"Hello Mother," greeted Isaac, "I was told you wanted to see me."

"That's right Isaac," said Zelda, "Please have a seat, this is important."

Isaac then sat on an empty chair and Zelda then continued.

"Isaac, I have received a letter from a noble family in Forauner that says they will be visiting us in a week."

"What's Forauner," asked Isaac.

"It's a country that neighbors Hyrule to the east," explained Zelda, "We have started talking to them as friends about ten years ago." They are able to research magic there."

"I see," said Isaac, "So why is this family visiting?"

"This noble family which is made of the younger sister of Forauner's king, her husband who was once a fierce knight, and their daughter who I was told was born on the exact same day as you will be here so your father and I can discuss with the parents about arranging a marriage between you and their daughter."

"Whoa whoa whoa," said Isaac who couldn't believe what he heard, "Marriage?" "You're making me marry some girl from a foreign land who I've never met before?"

"It will be decided when they are here," answered Zelda, "We aren't sure completely yet." "However, it is important to try in order to give you a wife which you will need and to deepen the very young bond between the two kingdoms."

"Who says I need a wife," complained Isaac, "I know I will eventually become the King of Hyrule but that doesn't mean I need a wife."

"Please Isaac," said Zelda, "You need to understand." "You will need to have your own child at some point who would take your place as Hyrule leader someday and a wife is needed for that." "Anyway, I think we should both head to the dining hall now." It seems like lunch should be ready for us shortly." "Also please be under your best behavior when our guests come alright?"

"Yes Mother," responded Isaac with a sigh knowing arguing would be pointless.

After that, Zelda and Isaac left the study with Isaac deep in thought wondering why this was happening.
