Getting Along
Isaac and Sylvia having left their parents decided to have a talk before starting the tour of Hyrule Castle.
"Prince Isaac," started Sylvia," I noticed you were uncomfortable while our parents were talking." "Are you against their plans of our arranged marriage?"
"To be honest, yes," answered Isaac, "It's just it happened without warning and we've never met before." "I don't even know if I'm ready to marry." "What's your opinion of this?"
"Well I'm actually nervous about this," explained Sylvia, "I'm usually shy around most people." "Not only that but I think my parents mainly want me to marry royalty because my mother liked living as a princess."
"I see," said Isaac, "Well anyway, let's get this tour over with." "Any suggestions on where to start?"
"How about the library," suggested Sylvia, "I actually enjoy reading."
"Okay, let's start there." replied Isaac and they headed for the library.
Along the way to the library, Isaac showed Sylvia some of the things they saw along the way until they made it there.
"There sure are a lot of books here," commented Sylvia once they went in.
"Many of them were collected by my mother," explained Isaac," While her duties as queen come first for her, she also likes to research the things of the world."
"Your mother is a scholar," asked Sylvia, "That does seem interesting." "I personally prefer stories when it comes to reading."
"Okay," said Isaac, "I suppose I could find you an interesting story for you to read at some point since you'll be staying here and all." "What do you want to check out next?"
"How about the garden," asked Sylvia, "I was told there are some interesting flowers there."
"I suppose they are," said Isaac who then guided Sylvia to the garden.
Once at the garden Sylvia was amazed at the scenery and examined each of the flowers there.
"What's this one," Asked Sylvia when she noticed an interesting blue flower.
"That one is a Silent Princess," explained Isaac, "It was once endangered and rare." "I was told that it originally couldn't be raised domestically until around the time I was born." "They actually reproduced during the one hundred years Hyrule was in ruins."
"Hyrule was in ruins," asked Sylvia who unlike her parents, didn't know about Hyrule's past.
"I'll tell you later," said Isaac, "We still have much more of the castle to see."
"Okay," said Sylvia who was very curious.
After a few hours, Isaac showed Sylvia everything in the castle from the knight's quarters to the stable. Around that time, a Sheikah woman went to them.
"Prince Isaac, Lady Sylvia," said the Sheikah, "Sir Pallaton and Lady Moriko are about to leave for home." "Her Majesty told me to come fetch you two so you may see them off."
"Understood, thanks for telling us Paya," replied Isaac and he and Sylvia started to head for the castle entrance.
"Who was that woman," asked Sylvia, "She seemed different from all of the other people I've seen here." "Is she a Hylian?"
"Actually," explained Isaac, "She is a Sheikah." "They are a race who has protected Hyrule for a very long time." "There are actually several races in Hyrule besides the Hylians." "Also, that was Paya who has looked after me whenever my parents couldn't ever since I was an infant."
"That seems rather interesting," admitted Sylvia.
Once at the entrance, Isaac and Sylvia saw their parents and went over.
"Did you enjoy your tour of the castle Sylvia," asked Moriko.
"I suppose I liked it," answered Sylvia.
"How were things for you during that time Isaac," asked Link.
"I guess it was kind of fun," admitted Isaac.
"Well I suppose we must be off then," said Pallaton, "Please be good here during your stay Sylvia."
"Yes Father," replied Sylvia.
"We will return here in six months for your shared birthday," explained Moriko.
"We hope to see you both by then," said Zelda, "I wish you safe travels on your journey home."
After saying their farewells, Sylvia's parents went in the carriage they came in and it left.
"So when will you guys decide if Sylvia and I should marry," asked Isaac out of curiosity.
"It will be during a ball that will celebrate your shared birthday," answered Zelda, "Please don't let us down."
That evening, Isaac was getting ready for bed. During that time, he couldn't stop thinking about what he should do about all this.
"It is true that Sylvia is nice and the tour was fun," admitted Isaac to himself, "But I'm still not sure about this marriage." "Why would Mother and Father make this happen and what should I do.?"
