Training

The next day, Isaac was in the stable. He had some free time from being with Sylvia because she was having a private lesson which was unusual but made sense seeing as how much of Hyrule Sylvia still didn't know of. Isaac decided to talk to his personal horse, Shroud about his issues.

"I wonder what I should do Shroud," asked Isaac to Shroud, "Sylvia is nice and all but is it really a good idea for us to marry just because of an arrangement?"

"There you are Isaac," said someone who when Isaac turned around turned out to be Link, "I've been looking for you."

"Why were you looking for me Father," asked Isaac.

"Your mother and I have thought for quite a while that we should find someone to teach you how to fight," explained Link, "At first we couldn't find anyone because many strong warriors were needed in other positions but now we have someone to train you."

"Really," asked a surprised Isaac who was liking where this was going, "Who is it?"

"It's one of the new knights from yesterday," answered Link, "According to reports, he became really strong as a fighter, so your mother assigned him to be your personal trainer as well as Sylvia's."

"Wait, why does Sylvia need to train," asked Isaac.

"Her father told us that he wanted her to be a fighter," explained Link, "He also told us that she kind of wished for it as well." "Anyway, you should be heading to the knight's hall." "Don't keep your new instructor waiting."

Isaac then left the stable and quickly went to the knight's hall. Once there, he saw that Sylvia was already there as well as one of the young boys from the previous day.

"It's great to properly meet you Your Highness," said the new knight, "Let me properly introduce myself, I'm Emory and it's an honor to be your instructor." "Now then, let's begin the training." "Prince Isaac, Sylvia, please take these practice swords and use them on those two dummies over there to show me what you can do already."

Isaac and Sylvia both did as told and after a few minutes, Emory told them to stop.

"The movements were not bad," said Emory, "But I wouldn't say that was proper fighting for either of you."

"I'm sorry," apologized Sylvia, "I'm new to this, this is the first time I've practiced."

"No need to apologize," said Emory, "Rookies usually have a long way to go." "As for you Prince Isaac, I see you have practiced on your own but not effectively."

"I don't really know many basics," admitted Isaac, "But I did think I was better than this."

"Fighting is hard to master," explained Emory, "The main reason I'm already good is because I would practice really often when I was small with the desire to become one of the best knights Hyrule would have." "Now then, let me show you some techniques that can help."

Emory then picked up a practice sword and then attacked another dummy while showing skills that neither Isaac or Sylvia were familiar with.

"Those are skills I picked up during my training," explained Emory after he finished, "Some I made up while others were taught to me by older knights except for one that the consort himself showed me and many others, the spin attack." "Let's work on that one today."

"Won't I get dizzy if I try that," asked a concerned Sylvia.

"Perhaps, but after getting used to it you'll be fine," answered Emory.

For the remainder of the lesson, Isaac and Sylvia practiced the spin attack until Emory told them they could stop and that they were done for the day. With the lesson finished, Isaac and Sylvia decided to go to the garden to relax after hard work knowing they had to do it together.

"I can see they both have a long way to go but they should be fine given enough time," thought Emory to himself, "If I teach them the right way, Hyrule might be ruled by a warrior couple."
