Hiya! How have you all been? Good? That's nice to hear. I've been handling school fine, but it sure is stressful. Well, I'll get straight to the point - RWBY: The Lightning Child will officially be discontinued...

- Hold on, hold on. Before you click on that close/exit button, stick around for a bit. Okay, you there? Alright, let me explain. -

It's not like I've lost interest or anything, contrary to that, I've actually wanted to invest more time to make sure this work of mine would be the best it could be. So with that, I also announce that this fan-fiction will be completely written back from scratch - well... kinda, do expect that if you're an old reader, you'll definitely understand a few parts. But! Other than that, RWBY: The Lightning Child will be having a massive rebrand and be rewritten to the best it can be.

Hmm with that, I guess that's all? Oh no wait, I'm also currently looking for a beta-reader that excels in dialogue, and fight choreography. With my goal of making this story the best it could be, I would really appreciate the help of someone who would join me for the ride. So, if you're feeling confident in your skill, feel free to send a message my way in my DM's!

With all of that out of the way, I would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you. I didn't really think that this little hobby of mine would be enjoyed by so many people - No, seriously. As I was re-reading my story during my free time, I couldn't believe that even with my amateur writing at the time, you guys actually stuck around. So, I solemnly thank you guys so much and I promise, the rewrite would surely be worth the wait.

Regarding when the rebranded fan-fiction will be posted, will depend on the period of time my school starts to decide on lessening the school work and when I've reached an agreement with a beta-reader. I've actually already finished rewriting chapter one, and yes it was the chapter one that was posted here before, but you can't see it no more and it is wayyyy~ better now. I promise.
