(1 Month After Chapter 4)

Hill sides of Japan were always a sight Issei loved. He treasured the moments he spent with Grayfia laying in the grass and discussing their future together. As a child, his father would always bring him to a new hill side so they could play hide and seek. No matter how well Issei thought he hid, Lord Asmodeus always found him. But today wasn't a day to remember those moments. He was here for a very different reason.

After some time of staring off into the distance, a bright shine of light appeared before Issei. When the light finally diminished, he glared at the woman who came out. Who most people would consider the most beautiful woman in Heaven; Issei saw the perfect creation of the supernatural worlds true demon.

"Issei Asmodeus, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Grabriel spoke softly.

"Lady Gabriel, I insist. It's my displeasure to make yours." Issei replied sarcastically.

Gabriel frowned. She knew the son of Asmodeus had quite the sharp tongue but didn't think he'd use it so soon. "Your reputation for having a sharp tongue precedes you."

Issei smirked. "I reserve only the best for you Lady Gabriel. The perfect creation of God."

Gabriel noted his continued sarcasm but elected to ignore it. "I insist, please, just call me Gabriel."

Issei was slightly taken aback by her continued kindness even after he's shown little respect to her. "If it's all the same to you, I'll continue with Lady Gabriel. The fact I showed up at all is treasonous enough. The last thing I want is to become casual with you."

"If you insist, Lord Issei."

Gabriel went on to explain the reasoning she had requested an audience with Issei. Throughout the course of this war, she has been disturbed with the amount of prisoners of war being executed on both sides. The pain and suffering did nothing but fuel each side with the resolve to come out victorious, which in turn led to even more pain and suffering. She wished to see an end to that.

"That is the harsh reality of war Gabriel. Don't forget it was your father who chose to cast out those who didn't revere him as the king he desired to be seen as. If he had allowed our people to think for themselves, we wouldn't be in this mess."

"And I do not deny that. He always believes he's doing whats best for his people but there are times I can admit he does whats best for himself." It took some time for Gabriel to admit the harsh truth of her father. She still loved him more than anything, but she had to think openly and not as linear as God or the other Great Seraphs. It was that open mind that brought her to request an audience with Issei Asmodeus. "But today I requested to see you to make arrangements for the best of both of our peoples."

Issei was surprised to see such honesty from the Seraph. He had assumed that God completely brainwashed her to believe the Devils were a filth they had to destroy. To see her acknowledge that God wasn't as pure as most other Angels would have thought was refreshing in a way.

"And what do you propose?" He asked.

Gabriel took a deep breath. She was starting to believe she could start change. "That we both introduce new guidelines to how prisoners of war are to be treated. If we can prevent such needless deaths like these, it may slightly assist to ease tensions once this is all over."

As Issei began to think about it, Gabriels idea had some ground to it. He always heard the stories of the sons of low class Devils being captured in battle then executed once they reach the prisoner of war camps. He could only imagine what the Angels thought of the Devils doing the same. It only fanned the flame sparked by the war.

He had to admire Gabriels compassion for both sides. She definitely wasn't as perfect as God envisioned her to be. 'Well that makes two of us' He thought.

"I'll bring the vote to the floor during the next council meeting." He turned to face away from her when he summoned a magic circle below him. "Good day, Gabriel."

As Issei disappeared, a smile grew on Gabriels face. Clearly, he wasn't the demon that Metatron made him out to be. Much more handsome in person as well.

(6 Years after the Great War)

Kyoto has always been a treasured city within the supernatural world. It was a safe haven for all wishing to start fresh. The Yokai who populated the city had always been very welcoming to those in need. And thanks to it's ruler, Lady Yasaka, it was the current meeting place of the second ceasefire renewal of the three Biblical Factions.

When the Great War finally came to an end, there was never a formal treaty written between all three sides. It was only ever a ceasefire agreement that had been renewed once before; which was to come to an agreement for how far from a church a Devil or Fallen Angel must stay away from at all times. The current agreement was called by the Angels due to the growing incidents of newly reincarnated Devils going stray and abandoning their masters. All three sides agreed that when a reincarnated Devil goes astray they are to be killed on the spot.

Whilst Michael, Azazel, the new Leviathan and Lucifer were finishing up the agreement, Gabriel had her eyes wander to her current person of interest. Grayfia. Since the presumed extinction of the Asmodeus clan, with the exception of Houki, Grayfia was the current lead expert on Black Demonic Lightning. As difficult as she knew it was going to be to be, she just had to do it for Houki's sake.

(Scene Break)

As the meeting slowly came to a close, Gabriel knew she had to make her move soon. If she doesn't, it make take years until she had an opportunity like this again.

Sirzechs stood, "If that will be all, I believe we may call this meeting adjorned." The other faction leaders nodded.

The Fallen Angels were the first to leave. Azazel was anxious to resume his research on Sacred Gears. He also knew that Kokabiel would voice his anger regarding this ceasefire agreement. There's been a chip on Kokabiels ever since they were the first to withdraw from the war. Azazel knew in time this chip may cause Kokabiel to lash out. But for now, he kept a watchful eye on his old friend.

Serafall was the next to depart. Presumably she was working on some secret side project that she quoted would be "Magical".

That left only the two Angel, Sirzechs and Grayfia. This was her chance. Its now or never!

"Lord Lucifer, there is one request I have for you." Gabriel spoke.

Her brother Michael turned to her in interest, Grayfia glared at her menacingly whilst Sirzechs cocked an eyebrow, "How may I be of assistance Lady Gabriel?"

Gabriels heart raced. "I wish to speak with Grayfia. Privately"

Both Sirzechs and Michael were caught off guard. Neither had an an ounce of an idea of why Gabriel would want to speak with Grayfia. In private no less. This made Sirzechs uneasy. He didn't know the full details but knew that Grayfia held some form of distaste for the Angel. He had assumed it was due to God having a part in the death of who was her soon-to-be father in-law and her lover Issei Asmodeus if some rumors were to be believed.

"I'm not sure if that's for the be-"

"It's fine my lord. It'll only be a moment." Grayfia spoke. Since the end of the Great War Grayfia always spoke very monotone. But this time it was very, eerie.

Sirzechs knew better than to argue with his old friend. He may be her King but he was not her master. "If you insist." He left via magic circle. He would ask her what they spoke about once she returned to the Underworld. But as always, her lips remained sealed shut.

"I shall report to the other Seraphs how this meeting went. We will await for your return." Michael spoke softly. Gabriel smiled as her brother disappeared in a shining light.

The smile soon faded when she turned to face Grayfia. Her eyes filled with hatred. The fire in her eyes could burn the Garden of Eden in a single stare.

It took a few moments for Gabriel to work up her courage. "You're as beautiful as ever Grayfia. How ha-"

"Flattery will get you nowhere Gabriel" Grayfia spat. "What do you want?"

Gabriel sighed. She understood Grayfia's great distain for her. Gabriel made her beloved keep such an important secret from her. When she inevitably found out, she was heart broken.

She had to make amends before asking for any favors. "I ask for you to forgive me. For all the heartache Issei had-"

"Don't you speak his name!" Grayfia yelled. Her face fueled with rage; but her eyes began to fill with tears and sorrow. "You are nothing but a parasite that invaded mine and Issei's lives!" Her tone deafened to a whisper. The tears finally began to flow. "We were in love, destined to be heads of the Asmodeus clan. After centuries of happiness, it took you only ten years to ruin it."

Everything Grayfia held bottled slowly poured out in these few moments. "You and your fathers war took everything from me. My brother is gone, my Lord and Lady are gone and the love of my life...is gone. Once I had everything, now I have nothing. Nothing." At this rate her knees finally gave in and she collapsed on the floor.

Gabriel looked down on her. She could hardly forgive herself for bringing this much sorrow to another. And she wasn't even done yet.

"Grayfia, there's someone I need you to meet." She spoke.

All Grayfia saw was another shine of bright light before her. To her surprise, out of that bright light came a little girl. The face she couldn't recognize but the eyes she knew all too well. Subconsciously she opened her arm to the girl, and on instinct the girl ran into them and was met by a deep embrace. Grayfia began to cry into the little girls shoulders.

She refused to leave the girls side for the day.

(Kuoh Academy)

As the young Houki briefed Issei on the current Excalibur crisis, she had a hard time fighting the urge to run into his arms and expose herself as his daughter. But as Auntie Grayfia explained, it was for the best he remained unaware for the time being.

While she spoke, Issei had been analyzing the Angel, and not in his usual manner. The girl presented herself very nicely and proper. Rias and her Queen could learn a lot from her. He also sensed some form of familiarity with the girl but wasn't sure where from. Odd. Questions for later.

What was important now was the situation Kokabiel was beginning to unfold in Kuoh. Three of the six Excalibur fragments were in the hands of the rogue Fallen Angel. Excaliburs Mimic and Destruction were in the hands of the Church, with Excalibur Rulers whereabouts being unknown. Clearly Kokabiel was aiming to break the current ceasefire agreement and have the Great War begin again. Curious why he would make his attempt in Kuoh however. Yes both Rias and Sona were younger sisters of two of the current Devil Kings but he had to know that Issei the current ruler of the territory. Right?

No matter. Every time the two led their respective armies to battle, no matter how much Kokabiel could have outnumbered him, Issei always came out on top. Kokabiel was a warrior first and hardly a tactician. Issei was both. It was hard to believe that he would've changed in the past 100 years. The added benefit of having Gabriels second in command made him even more confident in a victory. Though she never needed to show it, Gabriel was quite the combatant. At least that's what she claimed.

Issei stood from his seat. "If it's our assistance you desire then you'll have it. The Gremory and Sitri heiresses will offer their peerages for their search." Issei declared.

Houki bowed. "Your kindness will not be forgotten Lord Asmodeus. I extend the thanks of the Four Great Seraphs." She replied.

"You presented yourself well Lady Houki. Color me impressed." Issei complimented. She spoke confidently, clearly and with little stutters. More traits the girls could learn.

Houki's heart fluttered. Her first compliment from Father! She'll make sure it won't be the last. "You're too kind Lord Issei. Lady Gabriel always said it was your best trait."

Issei smiled. No matter how kind he could be, he could never beat Gabriel in that regard.

"In any case, I think the best course of action would be to introduce the representatives of Heaven to both the heiresses and their respective peerages." Grayfia spoke.

The Devil and Angel nodded. This wasn't the introduction that Houki hoped she'd have, but it was a strong start to her relationship with her father.

While saying their goodbyes, Issei had one final message for Houki. "Lady Houki," She turned to him. "Give Lady Gabriel my love."

Houki smiled before disappearing in a bright shine of light. Mother will be most pleased by their meeting. Soon, they can all be together.

Yeah I'm still around. Not gonna lie I lost interest in doing this for a LONG while. Then I reread my favorite story on here "Holy Inferno Dragon" and I got my muse back. Here's what's gonna happen.

Black Prison of Supremacy and Fallen Scales will get rebooted eventually. I loved the idea I made for Fallen Scales but I took it the wrong direction. Black Prison of Supremacy just went to hell honestly. It was my first story and I didn't know where I was taking it. I'm genuinely surprised it got as popular as it did. I thought about continuing it but making a ton of changes. After some thought I decided it needed a reboot.

I started this entire thing when I was 15. I'm 19 now and I like to think I can make a way better story now than I could back then.

The old discord server I was part of died a few months ago. If you guys would like me to make a new one, let me know.

Til Next Time,
