Chapter: One

NCIS Special Agent Eleanor Bishop lets out a sigh as she stands out on the patio of the Hilton hotel that the director set her up with, she closes her eyes as she steps in the warm sun. She has been sent to Hawaii to follow a lead on a case of the murder of a Petty Officer they were investigating. Turns out, the Petty Officer was born in Hawaii, which is also where the parents live.

She opens her eyes and walks back into her room to get ready, she was contacted by an old friend whom she hasn't seen in a while. He was needing her help on a case of his own. She figured they can help each other. He knows the Island and needs an assistant to navigate.

Dressed in blue jean shorts mid thigh, sandals, and a blue tank top, she grabs her phone and hotel key as she walks out of the door. When she makes it outside, she goes towards her rental car which was a silver Nissan Altima. She gets in and starts up the engine and makes her way towards the estate of Robin Masters.

Thomas Magnum is an old friend of Eleanor's, she was embedded with them back in Afghanistan while she was still an analyst with the NSA. She was also responsible for their rescue from the Taliban. Ever since then, she stayed in contact with Rick, TC, Nuza, and Magnum. She was devastated when she heard about Nuzo.

She was brought out of her thoughts with her phone ringing, she looked to see it was Magnum. She smiled as she answered, "Thomas, what's up?" she asked as she stopped at a stoplight.

"Hey, I'm gonna need some help doing a background check." He told her through the phone as she looked at her confused, "Uh, don't you have theat MI6 person who can do that?" she replied as she heard a sigh over the phone.

"Yeah, but she won't do it and this case is a big pay day and I need help. Please?" He asked her, making her smile and shake her head.

Bishop sighs, "Thomas, you know I would do anything for you. I'm almost there, I'll do it then." she said as she heard him chuckle, "Okay Ellie, see you soon." he said and then hung up.

Robin Masters' Estate

Thomas Magnum had just hung up on Eleanor Bishop when he looked to see Higgins standing there, "Who was that Magnum?" she asked curious as to who he was speaking to.

"Just an old friend. She's on her way, she agrees to help me with this case unlike someone I know." he said as he smiled.

Juliet Higgins sighs as she looks at Magnum, "As I told you, if you want any more help, you gonna have to start feeling up the ferrari." She told him as he nodded. Just then Higgins phone started ringing and she took it out, she showed the phone to Magnum.

"This your friend?" she asked as he looked to see the long blonde hair woman at the gate as he nodded, "Yep that's her."

Outside Thomas Magnum and Juliet Higgins were standing by the driveway at the entrance of the house and saw the silver car pulled up around the circular driveway as it stopped. The driver side door opened and stepped out Eleanor Bishop.

"Thomas Magnum, long time no see." she greeted him as he walked up to her and hugged the former NSA analyst as she hugged back. They let go as Bishop looked behind him to see a woman with short blonde hair, "This must be Juliet Higgins." she said as she walked up to the woman and held out her hand, "NCIS Special Agent Eleanor Bishop." she introduced herself as Higgins was stunned for a few seconds before shaking her hand.

"Hello, Pleasure to meet you." Juliet greeted as she went back to the car and grabbed her laptop and the case file she's working on. "Shall we get started?" she asked Magnum who nodded and they walked together towards the guest house. Curious, Higgins tagged along to hear more about this Eleanor Bishop.

Eleanor walked in and her mouth dropped, "Whoa! This is nice." she commented as Magnum led her over to the couch as she sat down while the P.I sat in the chair. "Thanks. So got anything for me?" he asked her as Ellie smiled.

She opened her laptop and showed him the research he wanted her to do. "I did the background check you wanted me to do on your client. Seems, he has a record with the HPD for robbery and assault." she told him as he nodded and scrolled through the file.

"I'm sorry, I have to ask but how do you know Magnum?" Juliet asked from her spot on the other couch as Ellie looked at Magnum who nodded, letting her know she could tell her.

Eleanor takes a deep breath, "I can't tell you much. But basically I was an analyst with the NSA. My first week with them, I was deployed to Afghanistan to intercept and analyze chatter of any major terrorist threats. I met Magnum and his team on base, but actually they found me first. I was in my makeshift office tent with all my equipment set up analyzing the recent chatter when Magnum and his team walked in. We started talking and in time we got close. We would hang out whenever they got back from their missions." she explained as Higgins was stunned.

Magnum handed the laptop back to Ellie as she took it back, "Did you find what you were looking for?" she asked as Magnum smiled.

"Yes I did. Thank You Ellie." he said as she nodded. "Like I said Magnum, you got me to help, and don't worry about paying me back like some people do. I'm happy to help." she said as Magnum nodded. "Now, it's your turn to help me. You up for it?" she asked him.

Thomas smiled, "Okay, I guess it's fair since you helped me. What do you need?" he asked, willing to do anything.

"Well, I'm working on a murder case of a young Petty Officer. He was born here in Hawaii and his parents still live here. Would you be my navigator on this rock?" she asked him as Magnum leaned back.

"Sure, I can do that." he answered as she smiled. "Awesome!" she replied as she typed on her computer.
