A/N: In last chapter (or two) I mentioned Regionals, but it's Sectionals. Sorry if anyone's confused. Please review!
Right after sunrise Kurt opened his eyes and stood up from the bed. Jeff and Nick were still sound asleep, so they wouldn't complain about him using their bathroom for too long. Kurt took some more casual clothes out of his closet (he still had to chose an perfect outfit for the party later that day), and went to the bathroom locking the door behind himself.
He stripped off of his clothes and stepped into the shower. As soon as the water started washing over him, the brunette closed his eyes. The images from last night started dancing in front of his eyes immediately. Blaine's wide open hazel eyes, pink, swollen lips and adorably flushed cheeks. Kurt would give everything to run his hand though Blaine's black curls without a trace of gell once again.
Sighing, Kurt stepped out of the shower and put on his clothes. Then he brushed his teeth, and made sure that his hair was nothing less than perfect. When he was done, Kurt pulled out of the cabinet his moisturizer and applied it on his skin. When he was sure that he wouldn't get any wrinkles for at least another ten years, Kurt flashed a smile to his reflection in the mirror and left the bathroom.
A small smile appeared on Kurt's face as he noticed that his two roommates were still asleep. These two were just too adorable for their own good. Jeff was cuddling a pillow close to his chest, and Kurt could see a drool dripping from his mouth. Well, it wasn't that cute.
Nick's hand was hanging off of the bed towards Jeff's. It looked like the two wanted desperately to hold each other's hands. His other hand was under his head. Even though Kurt knew that his two friends were straight, he was positive that they would be the cutest couple in the entire world.
Kurt sat down on his bed and took the latest issue of Vogue from his bedside table. He tried to read it for a couple of minutes, but nothing seemed to be able to distract him from thinking about Blaine. His mind kept coming back to the dark-hired boy without his permission. Kurt wanted to capture his pink lips with another passionate kiss. He wanted to push him down on the mattress (or be pushed by Blaine), and do things to him. He was just teenage boy for crying out lout and he was allowed to have urges, even if he knew it was impossible to be with his best friend in that way.
"What are you thinking about?" He heard a hoarse from sleep voice, and looked towards it to see that Nick was already awake. ''Even though you're looking at that magazine, you're most definitely not reading it. What's on your mind? I know I'm not the 'perfect Blaine', but you can tell me.''
Kurt smiled softly at his roommate ignoring the comment about Blaine. ''Everything's fine. I'm just thinking about the party.'' He lied. He really didn't want to tell anybody about his stupid crush on Warblers' lead solist. ''I don't know what to wear.''
Nick smirked at him. ''I wouldn't wear anything fancy if I were you. You don't want to get something greasy on it. Trust me, dancing with a bottle of beer in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other is not easy.''
Kurt raised his eyebrow. ''Beer?" Nick nodded his head. ''Well, what do you usually do at these famous parties?"
Nick's smirk only grew wider. ''Everything that teenagers do!'' Kurt raised his eyebrow once again. ''Sometimes even girls come.''
Kurt's eyes went wide. Nick only laughed shaking his head.
Couple of hours later Kurt found himself in front of the wooden door to Blaine's dorm. He knew that he probably should give the shorter boy as much time as he needed to sort everything out, but waiting was slowly killing him. They needed to talk about their feelings, even if Blaine wasn't completely ready for that.
Kurt lifted up his hand and knocked against the door. His heart started beating loudly, as he realized that he was about to face Blaine, the boy that had kissed him last night. He liked to think about that kiss as his first, because he didn't count short, forced kiss with Karofsky as something worth remembering. He closed his eyes taking a deep breath. He really hoped that Blaine would finally see that he didn't have to be alone with his problems anymore and Kurt was there to help him in any way he could.
When one minute passed Kurt opened his eyes and pressed his ear to the door. He knew that he shouldn't, but it was beyond his power. He couldn't hear anything. He moved away from the door. Blaine either wasn't there or didn't want to talk to Kurt. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and sent a quick text to his best friend.
Where are you? We need to talk. -Kurt
He shoved his cell phone back into his pocket and was about to walk back to his dorm, when he heard someone call his name. Kurt looked up to see green-eyed boy that he wasn't in mood to deal with. He smiled at the blond boy politely, as he made his way over to Kurt.
''Hi, Kurt.'' He said cheerfully. ''How are you? I haven't heard anything from you since our date.''
Kurt was mad at himself for making this poor boy believe that they could be anything more than friends. ''I'm fine. Can't wait for Christmas break, actually. I need to take some rest from this school It's wonderful, but the amount of homework is slowly killing him.''
''I know what you mean.'' Luke said shoving his hands deep into his pockets. It seemed like he didn't know what to do with them, so hiding his hands was the best option. ''What about a shorter break? We could have some coffee together again. I really liked our last date. What do you think? I have nothing planned today.''
Kurt was happy to have a excuse not to go with Luke. He was nice and handsome, but there was no chemistry between them. ''I'm sorry, but there's a party tonight at Jeff's house. Every Warbler has to come.''
Luke's wide smile was still present. ''That's okay. I understand that tomorrow you might be...tired, so what about Monday?"
''I can't. Warbler's practice. The Sectionals is coming and we have to work extra hard to stand a chance to beat the New Directions, my old glee club.''
''It's not a problem.'' Luke said immediately. ''Do you have anything planned for Thursday?"
Kurt was silent for a moment, before saying. ''No.'' Luke's smile grew even wider (if it was possible) as he leaned forward and pressed his gentle lips to Kurt's cheek. His face immediately flushed red and he walked away as soon as he could.
Kurt stood there motionlessly for a while trying to process everything. Instead of saying that they couldn't be a couple he once again had a date planned with Luke, but this time he really didn't want to spend his time with the blond boy. They hadn't many things in common, and Kurt was fed up with listening about football.
Two hours later Kurt found himself sitting on the carpet in his room with his cell phone in his hand. Blaine still was out of reach and Kurt didn't know what to do. He was worried sick. What if his best friend was hurt and no one knew where he was? He didn't want to think about it, but it was a possibility that wouldn't leave his mind.
He pulled his knees close to his chest and rested his head on top of them. Kurt wasn't in a mood to go to that party anymore. He just wanted to see Blaine's beautiful face and know what was happening with him. Kurt closed his eyes and let out a shaky breath. His eyes filled with tears and one, lonely drop of salty water rolled down his pale cheek.
Then he got an idea. He took his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed a number that he rarely used, but now he was incredibly grateful for having it.
''Kurt?" Wes was breathing heavily. ''Can you call later? I'm kinda...in the middle of something.''
''It's about Blaine.'' Kurt said knowing that it would get the Asian's boy attention. Wes said something to someone (probably his girlfriend), and Kurt heard the door being opened and closed.
''Now we're alone. What is it? Is something wrong with him?" Wes asked.
''He's not answering my calls, and he's not in the dorm. I'm just worried about him.'' Kurt said. ''Maybe...he just doesn't want to talk to me, but it doesn't change the fact that he has no right to make me so worried about him!'' Kurt couldn't stop himself. He wasn't mad at Blaine, but he was just so frustrated and sick of waiting for Blaine to text him back or call or just anything.
''Wait,'' Wes said. ''You make it sounds like...did something happen between you two while I was gone?"
Kurt swallowed hard. There was no point in lying to Wes. He was only trying to help. ''Yes...Blaine kissed me last night while we were watching a movie. He told me I was his best friend and it just...happend.''
Wes was silent for a couple of seconds. ''Shit.'' He finally said. ''I mean, no offence or anything, but kissing you was the dumbest thing that he could do.'' Kurt opened his mouth to say something, he couldn't disagree more with the Asian boy, but Wes started speaking again. ''Don't get me wrong, Kurt. I have nothing against you, and under other circumstances I would be jumping right now in the air from happiness, but in this situation, I don't think that Blaine knows what he is doing. He may think that he wants to be with you, but he's confused. So many things has happened to him and just probably wants someone to take care of him, and it's okay, but he can't just act on it like that.''
Even though Kurt didn't want to admit it, deep down he knew that his friend was right. ''Well, he's gone. What should we do?''
''Let me try calling him.'' Wes finished the call, and as promised called Kurt five minutes later. ''He's not answering.''
''What are we going to do?"
He heard a sight. ''Well, all we can do for now is wait. I'm coming back tomorrow and then we can think about something.''
The next morning when Kurt woke up he noticed that his two roommates weren't there yet (which wasn't really surprising). He went though his morning routine and excited his room to get something to eat from cafeteria. When he entered almost empty school canteen he immediately noticed Wes sitting in the corner of the room by himself. Kurt took an empty tray and filled it with random food before sitting down beside the Asian boy.
Wes looked up at him and smiled weakly. ''Aren't your girlfriend mad at you for shorting your time with her?" Kurt asked taking a sip of his orange juice.
''She understands.'' Wes said. ''Anyway, has Blaine called you since yesterday?'' Kurt shook his head sadly. ''Something is wrong. His things are gone.''
Kurt's eyes went wide. ''What? Gone?''
Wes nodded his head slowly. ''His clothes, books, papers, everything. I even went to the headmaster to ask about it, because a student should know if they have still a roommate or not, but he was gone. His secretary said that she didn't know anything, and I have to wait until tomorrow for Mr. Walker to return and ask him. This is sick. She should be able to answer something as simple as that. Polishing her nails shouldn't be the only thing that she is willing to do!'' He ran his hand though his already messy hair.
''It's probably not her faut. School policy or something like that.'' Kurt said trying to comfort somehow his friend, even though he had problems with processing everything himself. He just couldn't believe that their friend was gone just like that without telling neither of them anything. It was really weird. ''Why would he leave?'' He turned his eyes to Wes. ''Do you think that it might have something to do with...the kiss?''
Wes shrugged. ''I don't think it's something that Blaine would do, but after what he did on Friday I don't know anymore. It doesn't make sense, but who knows?''
''We should visit him.'' Kurt said.
''Let's wait until tomorrow.''
Kurt didn't want to agree, he really was worried about his friend, but he nodded his head anyway and returned to eating his food hoping that Blaine would at least call him or Wes.
Couple of long hours later Nick and Jeff returned (both with spectacular hangover), and told Kurt everything about the party. Kurt was a little sad when he heard about all of it, but he didn't regret not coming there. Without Blaine by his side Kurt wouldn't have been able to relax and have fun.
On Monday Kurt went to his history class (it was even more boring without Blaine constantly telling him how much he loved this subject), and when he was walking to his next class he heard something that made him stop dead in his tracks.
''So you're saying than Anderson is pregnant, huh?" Kurt turned around and noticed two boys leaning against the wall. ''Interesting.''
"It's seems like 'Mr. Perfect' isn't so perfect after all...'' Kurt shook his head and started walking again. He didn't want to listen to their conversation anymore. There was just one thing on his mind.
How the hell do they know about it?
Kurt couldn't focus for the rest of the classes. He kept hearing from different boys what he had already know from overheard conversation in the hallway, but he chose not to jump into one of those conversation, because what was the point? It seemed like the whole school knew about Blaine's condition.
During lunch Kurt sat with Wes by the table. ''Can you tell me what the hell is going on?" Kurt asked his friend. ''How is this possible that everyone knows about Blaine?"
Wes sighed. ''Someone overheard his conversation with headmaster, or at least that's what I know.''
Kurt couldn't believe that someone could just tell Blaine's deepest secret like that.
Kurt considered for a moment skipping Warblers' practice, but he came to conclusion that without Blaine they needed to start preparing for Sectionals from the very beginning. With their lead solist gone they had nothing, so it would be probably very important meeting. Even though the Warbles would probably spend half of it chatting about Blaine.
It turned out that Kurt wasn't wrong. When he entered the meeting room everyone was present (expect for Wes). The boys were sitting on the couches and talking (most likely about Blaine). Kurt sat down beside Nick and put his bag on the floor. The dark-hired boy was too busy talking with Jeff and some other Warbler to notice that Kurt was present which he was grateful for.
Couple of minutes later Wes entered the room and stood in front of everyone. No one seemed to notice him, so he cleared his throat. When that didn't work either he stood on the small coffee table and yelled loudly. ''Hey, guys!'' Then the boys finally turned their eyes to him. ''As you probably know by now our lead solist is gone.''
''Is is true that Blaine is pregnant?" Trent asked. Kurt glanced at the boy. His big eyes were full of confusion and worry.
Wes sighed closing his eyes. Finally he said. ''Yes, Trent, but we're not here to discuss his personal problems. Well, some of us should.'' He told the last part directly to Sebastian who was sitting in the corner with two other boys.
''Just leave me alone.'' He muttered folding his arms.
Wes ignored him, and carried on. ''The Sectionals is next Thursday, and without Blaine, we have to find someone who will sing instead of him.'' Almost as soon as the words left Wes' mouth, a blond-hired boy sitting beside Sebastian raised his hand. ''Yes, Zack?''
''You all know that there's no time for our traditional audition, so let me do it here and now.'' Wes raised his eyebrow, but gestured for the boy to carry on. ''Me and my friend, Ryan have been practicing one song for fun for a couple of weeks, and maybe it's good enough to perform it on Sectionals?''
Wes shrugged, clearly not convinced. ''Well, we have nothing to lose, right? Go ahead.''
The blond boy, Zack smiled brightly at Ryan and they both stood up from the couch. Zack put a CD into the CD player and a moment later a familiar melody filled the room.
The two boys stood in the middle of the room and started singing Katy Perry's song Firework. Their voices were nice, but not as powerful and beautiful at Blaine's. They swinged to the rhythm of the music singing the song as loud as they could, and when the song was over Kurt looked at Wes, and judging from the expression on his face he wasn't impressed, but it had to be enough. They had no other option.
Wes said that they had to practice every day from now on if they wanted to have a chance to win against the New Directions, and after that, they went though some harmonies and dance. Kurt wasn't happy that once again he had to stand in the background humming and singing, but he had to accept it.
When the meeting was over and he was about to stand up from the couch his cell phone buzzed in his pocket. His whole face lightened up when it turned out that it was a text from Blaine.
I'm alright. Sorry for not calling you. I'm home. -Blaine
