Author Notes: Well it was an unexpected response to so many followers and favorites to this fiction in its just first chapter.

These numbers reach more than sixty percent of the current followers and favorites of my other fic 'Self-Correction'. Well that was really something and I like to thank you for providing such love and support for this fiction.

So this chapter focuses on the Nine-Tails attack and the corresponding sealing that comes after it.

Chapter 2 : The Unexpected Disaster

Life is unfair, this we can hear from many people and even sometimes from ourselves.

Life is like a perfect balance that provides happiness and sadness both. But there are people who face much sadness in their life and only get some happy moments to live with. So how is it perfect? It does not make much sense.

Well, I have said so earlier that Life. Is. Unfair. So, I think perfect is not the word we can use to describe it, but it depends on us how to make the most out of life to be content with it.

If any ninja was assigned to a mission and due to some circumstances like a leak in information, false mission parameters, coincidental face-off between ninjas of two different villages, situations happen, and it can cause from just the delay in completing the mission to any life-or-death condition.

Life can take any unprecedented turn which can make people's life hell, or heaven?

But if you have to live through that hell without any choice? Well life is unfair, but it can be cruel to some people and these people, I like to call Jinchuriki.

|| === Uzumaki Namikaze Residence (3 Days Before Kyuubi Attack) === ||

Here we find both Hiruzen and his wife Biwako Sarutobi in the Uzumaki Namikaze Residence having an urgent talk with the soon-to-be parents of Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. Everyone was sitting around the dining table except Minato, who was standing behind Kushina as both Sarutobis sat on the opposite side facing towards them with a grim expression on their face.

"Kushina, there is something I must explain to you about giving birth. It happened to Lady Mito, the previous Jinchuriki, as well. During her labor, the seal containing the Nine-Tails almost broke. I'm sorry but as a precautionary measure we're going to ask you to deliver outside of the village, inside a barrier," said the Third Hokage as he recalled the memory of his sensei Tobirama Senju explaining to him about Jinchurikis and their weaknesses.

"We have the seal to think of, so I will be accompanying you," explains Minato as he gave his wife a reassuring smile.

"Minato, Taji's Squad from ANBU Black Ops and my wife, Biwako will be with you. This is to be done in utmost secrecy," said Hiruzen after which Kushina started to get tense thinking about the delivery and Nine-Tails.

As this was going on, Minato placed his hand on top of Kushina's immediately, allowing her to relax as he smiled at her and said, "I will go ahead and prepare everything."

Seeing her husband wanted to ease her worry, she smiled and nodded, "Right."

"I will take you there," started Biwako as she wanted to explain how they should take precaution without alerting anyone in the village but saw that Kushina was not paying attention to her and was getting annoyed because of it.

"Kushina," calls Biwako to the redhead so that she could begin to heed her words.

"Ah, Yes. I appreciate it," responds Kushina, giving Biwako a sheepish smile.

|| === Uzumaki Namikaze Residence (2 Days Before Kyuubi Attack) === ||

In Uzumaki Namikaze Residence, we find our resident, soon-to-be-a-mother, redhead resting on the couch of the main room hall where she was thinking what the Third Hokage and his wife has informed her and her husband of the situations that can happen in coming few days when she will go into labor.

She may have the personality of loudmouth, out-going girl with a mile wide mischievous streak but she was also an accomplished kunoichi, being nicknamed as Red Death during her time in ANBU and the Third Shinobi War with an outstanding record of missions, one of the deadliest kunoichi the Elemental Nations had ever seen, regarded as an S-Rank ninja throughout many nations. She knew that life is full of uncertainties where anything can happen any second.

As she was assessing the words spoken to her by the Sandaime, which holds truth in them and she can die if by any chance the seal holding the Nine Tails gets broken, she was thinking of the precautions she had to take if she was not there in the life of her son Naruto.

She wants to hold her son when he comes outside. She want to be with him, take care of him, hold him whenever he cries, help him in anything that he wants, train him to be a good ninja, always there to support him either emotional or physical whenever he falls down, embarrass him with his baby pictures, capture all the memories from being an infant to the day she will live, frighten all his girlfriends, stand proudly on his day of marriage and maybe when he has his own child. She wants to do many things with her son, and she wants to be the best mother there can ever be. She wants to shower him with all the love and affections she can give to him. She wants to give him a happy, loving and caring family with Minato and her as his parents, but she knows there are possibilities that she may not live to see and do such things.

She wants him to know that for her, he was one of the best things that happened to her since she fell in love with Minato and married him. So, without any delay, she took a scroll and started writing a letter that was addressed to her son Naruto, in case something happens to her. She also sealed many scrolls inside the letter at the bottom with the marriage contract by a blood seal, so only he will be able to open it.

As she was finishing her self-assigned task by drawing a blood seal on the scroll that contains the letter, Minato entered the hall and saw her doing this.

"What are you doing, Kushina-chan? And what's with the scroll?" asked Minato as he entered the main room hall and sat adjacent to his wife on the couch while staring quizzically at the scroll resting in the hands of Kushina.

"I am taking precautions regarding our baby's delivery, Minato-kun. I know this may sound kind of dumb but since yesterday when Sandaime has explained us about the delivery of Lady Mito and the chance for the Nine Tails to break free, I'm getting some vibes that maybe I won't be able to make it and see my son grow up. I have written a letter addressed to our son explaining my feelings towards him and how much I love him and wanted to be there for him. If I was unable to make it, then this scroll will at least provide closure to him that his mother loved him unconditionally. It also contains many jutsu scrolls and knowledge about Uzumakis and their specialty. It will at least assure me that he will have more than enough knowledge about one of our clans and others can be provided to him by you. Also, Minato, I think you should also do something like this. I have an unsettling feeling that he may require them in future," answered Kushina as she was resting her hand on her stomach while looking towards Minato, who was lost in his own thoughts.

"I do not want Kushina to know about this, but I am also getting vibes that something may happen in the coming days like a premonition of a disaster, going to take place. I still do not want her to know that I also have some hunch on what she was thinking. Confirming such things to her will lead her to stress which is harmful for the baby and her too. She is still a little bit jumpy about the whole Nine Tails breaking the seal thing which I have through much effort was able to distract her from and now this. I have to be the positive pillar for her on which she can believe and rely on," thought Minato as he smiled towards Kushina and started to think of some words to reassure her.

"Do not think about such things, Kushina-chan. You should be worried about how we are going to handle Naruto when he comes to our world. Being an Uzumaki, even half-Uzumaki, he will have bundles of energy in him and knowing you, he is going to be a troublemaker for sure. He might make us run ragged and I think we might even have to sacrifice our beauty sleep too. Also, about all the things like what kind of baby clothes that we have to buy and many other things. I was planning what I will do when comes of age to become a ninja like how I am going teach every jutsu I know and make him one of the strongest ninja of our village, well Hiraishin can wait for some time and maybe Rasengan too but we will see to that at least he knows what he is doing then pushing over all the responsibilities that comes with such high level techniques," chuckled Minato as he was unloading all his future plans for his son where Kushina also joined in the excitement making Minato's plan to distract her as a success.

As this was going on, Minato thought about the scroll he himself made for his son but still had not completed his letter as he was stressed about many things these days and had thought of doing so in the coming days.

"Do not worry Kushina-chan. I will be there for you, always."

|| === Cave Nearby Hidden Leaf Village (Day of the Kyuubi Attack) === ||

Kushina screamed from inside the cave as she had gone to labor just a few hours ago.

"It hurts, ya know!" exclaimed Kushina as her face contorted in pain.

"I have never seen Kushina in so much pain. Is she… alright?" asked an unsure Minato, a look of concern and worry etched across his face.

"She's fine. Never mind that just stay focused on the Nine Tails seal," responded Biwako calmly as she was helping Kushina in the delivery of her baby.

"But she's-"

"You are the Fourth Hokage, act like one. A man would have dropped dead from such pain long ago, but women are stronger than men in this regard," snapped Biwako on the whining Hokage so that he can concentrate on his task.

Deep within the seal we can see Kyuubi trying to break the restraints placed on him as he was tied to a huge rock with chains binding his hands, legs and tails to the rock and the ground below, making him very uncomfortable to even move inside the seal. Nine Tails was making an effort to at least break the restraints placed on him, during the rare moment of weakness of his container, so at least he could move freely inside the seal and stretch his body. The restraints placed on the Kyuubi being one of the main parts of the seal, it is making the whole seal collapse and giving an outward appearance of Kyuubi wanting to break free.

"He is so strong. The Nine Tails is struggling to get out. Hang in there, Kushina," thought Minato as he was gritting his teeth and doing everything he can, to keep the seal stable, "Hang in there Naruto. Everything will be fine; your dad is here."

As the activities were going inside related to the delivery of the baby and maintaining the seal of Kyuubi no Kitsune, outside an unknown entity breached the barrier and was killing all the ANBU squad that has been assigned as guards of the cave, slowly and quietly, one at a time without letting anyone know about his presence.

"I can see his head. You're almost there Kushina. Come on, keep pushing," said Biwako as all the occupants were concentrating on their task, none the wiser about what was happening outside.

"Hot water," ordered one nurse to another as she got an affirmative response while the other nurse was performing the said task instructed to her.

After a few minutes they heard a cry of the baby, "Wahhhhhhh!"

The nurse handed Biwako an orange towel which she wrapped around the baby and carried him in her arms and started moving towards Kushina.

"I-I am, I am father now," said Minato as he cried tears of joy while tears also started pouring from Kushina's eyes as she looked towards Biwako, wanting to see her baby.

As Biwako was passing by, Minato moved towards her to take the baby so that he could see his newborn son.

"Keep your hands off. Mother first then his father," said Biwako as she moved the baby away from Minato and took him by Kushina's side.

"Naruto... We finally meet," said Kushina as she lovingly gazed towards her son while tears were still flowing from her eyes. After that Biwako took Naruto to check if everything was alright with him.

Minato came besides Kushina as he placed a hand on her own while saying the simple words full of happiness and gratitude, "Thank you."

Kushina was staring with love in her eyes towards her husband, as he had been a part of every hardship, she faced in her life from the time they really met and came to know about each other when he rescued her from Kumo Ninjas, "Minato..."

"Alright, I know it's rough having just given birth, but we need to completely suppress the Nine Tails again!" exclaimed Minato as he moved his hand towards the seal to fix it.

"Yeah..."

Suddenly they heard the sound of a kunai piercing into flesh and bodies falling down on the ground. They moved their head to the direction from where the sound was heard and came to the sight of a Masked Man fully covered in a black robe holding their son at kunai point and the bodies of Biwako and two other nurses at his feet.

"Fourth Hokage Minato... step away from the Jinchuriki... or else this child will die in its first minute," said Masked Man as he slowly moved the kunai a little too close towards their son.

"Wh-Who are you?"

"Unh..Ugh" moaned Kushina in pain, still struggling with the Nine Tails as the seal started to spread across her body and she was a little bit exhausted from the childbirth.

"Kushina.."

"Hurry up and move away from the Jinchuriki... Don't you care what happens to your little brat?" asked the Masked Man coldly showing no emotion outside.

"Wait... stay calm, alright!"

"Speak for yourself. I am already calm," said the Masked Man as he threw Naruto above while holding a kunai where he was going to fall.

"Naruto!" exclaimed Kushina in worry and concern towards her newborn son.

Seeing what the Masked Man was going to do, he disappeared in a yellow flash and appeared on the other side of the cave while holding his son close to him.

"Impressive, however..." said the Masked Man as the paper bombs he had planted on the baby's cloth started to burn.

"Minato! Naruto!"

Minato at that moment flashed towards the kunai marker he had placed inside the safe house he had constructed outside the village and thrown the orange cloth wrapped around Naruto and again flashed away to the kunai marker embedded in the clearing around the safe house as the paper bombs ignited, blasting away the safe house with it, as the pieces of wood started falling towards the ground.

"He forced me to use the Flying Raijin Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Jutsu)... His target was Kushina... So, he separated us... I have to hurry!" thought Minato as he flashed away towards Uzumaki-Namikaze Residence, which was situated outside of the Leaf Village behind the Hokage Monument, heavily fortified by the seals so that no trespasser could enter the residence until and unless he was of Uzumaki or Namikaze blood.

|| === Outside the Cave Near Mountain Region === ||

Here we find Kushina standing and bound by a seal on a rock in the middle of water and gazing at a distance, the Masked Man who is slowly walking towards the edge of the water.

"What... do you want...?" asked Kushina as she was suspended by the seal which stretched to all the four corners, making it difficult to move.

"I'm going to extract the Nine Tails from you and crush the Hidden Leaf."

"W-What?!"

"Heh heh... The Nine Tails' seal has weakened due to the childbirth... and that troublesome Minato is now far away. There is no one to save you now."

"Ugh..."

"Do you know how long I have waited for this!?" inquired the Masked Man with a half ram sign in front of his face to collect the chakra as his only visible Sharingan started to glow while the tomoe in the eye started spinning. He dashed towards Kushina and rammed his chakra covered hand into her stomach and fully disabled the seal after which he disappeared in a vortex and again reappeared at a distance from her as the seal started to fall apart and the Nine Tails started to come out from it.

As the Nine Tails fully escaped his previous prison and tasted the joy of freedom after a long time, he roared to the heavens, celebrating to have his choice to live as he wanted again. As this was going on, Kushina collapsed on the rock she was standing on while the Masked Man turned towards leaf village and said, "Now to take care of the Leaf..."

Kushina just moved her head to say something, but she saw the Nine Tails standing on all four paws, gazing towards the Masked Man and then towards her and then started to walk away from the Hidden Leaf Village.

Kyuubi when he saw the Masked Uchiha started to go towards Leaf Village, intending that he should follow and his previous Jinchuuriki collapsed on the rock but still alive, he just had one thought in his mind, "I do not want any of this. I am going away from here where there aren't any of those blasted Uchihas and other ninja who wanted to capture me for their own gain."

As he turned around the Masked Man saw the Kyuubi no Kitsune was marching away from the Leaf Village, moving in a purely opposite direction from where he was going.

"Well, I can't let you do that," said the Masked Man as he disappeared in a vortex and appeared on the snot of Nine Tails.

"Now where do you think you're going?"

"Just go away," said Kyuubi as he lashed out with his paw which completely bypassed through the Man without a sign of injury.

"Obey your master Kyuubi… Like the dog you are," said the Masked Man in an arrogant and commanding tone, as the Nine Tails took another attempt in anger to put down the pest standing on his snot.

"Secret Sharingan Genjutsu : Tailed Beast Control!" exclaimed the Masked Man as the Tomoe in his visible Sharingan started spinning with his iris of the Sharingan glowed in intense red color.

The effects of the Genjutsu took place instantaneously as the red iris and the black sit pupil of Kyuubi's eyes disappeared and a reflection of Sharingan of the Uchiha clan appeared in both eyes. Now having the strongest of the Tailed Beast in his control, the Masked Man started marching towards the Leaf, intending to cause as much pain and chaos as possible.

"Ugh... wait," said Kushina after seeing everything that has transpired in the last few minutes.

"My, my, my… You Uzumaki clan are just amazing. You don't die right away when the Tailed Beast is extracted?" asked as he turned around to see her.

"You were his Jinchuriki. I'll let you die by his hand," spoke the Masked Uchiha as he commanded Nine Tails to attack Kushina.

As Kyuubi's hand descended on Kushina to crush her, she vanished in a yellow flash and appeared at a distance on a tree with Minato holding her in a bridal carry style.

"They don't call you 'Flash' for nothing. But you're too late."

"Minato... Naruto... Is Naruto... alright?" asked as she was heavily breathing due to going through childbirth and Tailed Beast extraction.

"Yes, he's fine. He is in a safe place right now," answered Minato in an even tone as he was looking towards her wife.

"Thank goodness..."

"Minato... You've got to... stop that man... and the Nine Tails... He's planning... to hit the Hidden Leaf Village..." said Kushina, as Minato looked towards them and vanished in a Yellow Flash.

"He flew again. Oh well, I got what I wanted. Hidden Leaf, here I come."

|| === Uzumaki Namikaze Residence === ||

Minato and Kushina appeared in their Master Bedroom where he left Naruto previously supervised by his Shadow Clone.

As he was moving towards the bed to place Kushina with Naruto, Kushina spoke as she wanted to pass on an important intel to her husband and Hokage, "Minato... Nine Tails is innocent... in this whole debacle... After getting released... he does not want... anything to do with... the Masked Man or the... Hidden Leaf Village... and was walking away from the village... But the Masked Man has... ensnared him in an Illusion... He is an Uchiha... and he has Kyuubi now to do his bidding."

After hearing all this, he signaled his Shadow Clone discreetly as the clone left the room to do what his creator wanted while the real Minato placed Kushina on the bed adjacent to their sleeping son.

"It's ok Kushina. Now just be with Naruto."

"Naruto," said Kushina as tears started flowing while holding her son as close as possible.

Minato in the meantime started collecting his supplies, his kunai and shuriken pouches, fastened his shinobi sandals and his jounin vest.

"Minato… Thank you… and Goodluck," said Kushina as she stared back towards her husband as he donned his Hokage cloak.

"I'll be right back," said Minato as he disappeared in a yellow flash.

|| === Hidden Leaf Village === ||

The Masked Uchiha appeared through the vortex in an alley inside the Leaf Village undetected and all the chaos started just with one phrase, "Ninja Art: Summoning Jutsu : Kyuubi no Kitsune."

As he called out, the contract seal started to spread and in an enormous poof of smoke, the mightiest of all Tailed Beasts, Kyuubi no Kitsune suddenly appeared above the village and with the surge of his massive Killing Intent and power, all activities stopped for a few seconds, just to look towards the Beast and then Chaos ensued as the civilians started running away from the beast and high ranking ninjas started to engage the Kyuubi in combat.

"No matter what, today the Leaf will burn," said the Masked Uchiha as he vanished in a vortex.

This is the end of the second chapter of this story.

Sorry for the late update, as I am busy nowadays in my work and whenever I get the time, I write the fictions as we have two parallely going on.
