Lets see what's prowling in the night of space.
Corusant Barriss's POV
Talking with the senators for the last few days I still don't like this situation one bit. Jagger has been missing and no one has been able to track him down.
That pirate after being corned admitted that he ejected Jagger and the senate guards in an escape pod. But the route they were traveling could be sent them anywhere.
Worse they could still be floating in space dead of starvation. I constantly ask the force for that not to be the case.
Walking with Ahsoka the situation has been affecting her as well.
Right now we're looking in the Archives along the route that the escape pod could travel. But as of yet no planet or star cluster could be a likely place to find him.
I say, "Ahsoka lets take a break a trip to the gardens will certainly help."
Ahsoka groans to say fine but I remind her that I'm also worried about Jagger. Getting to the gardens we calm ourselves and try to let the force flow through us without worry.
Soon two voices bring us out of our meditation. Looking up we see knight Qu Rahn and master T'ra Saa both smiling as they speak to us.
Master Saa says "You two have been here for some time now. Even though the gardens help to calm ones mind. They don't stop ones thoughts from growing within them."
Knight Rahn adds "Ones thoughts can even cloud you while trying to find peace within the force. Tell us my friends what clouds you?"
Telling the two our worries master Saa smiles softly. Master Saa says, "Your worry for padawan Jagger is a sign that your friendship is strong.
"Myself and many of the masters worry as well. Padawan Jagger is unlike many who are currently apart of the order.
"He sees knowledge of all kinds as a means to further ones self. But he doesn't know that not all knowledge is truly wise or easy to handle.
"But most of all his time here has brought a great question also. How do we go about allowing him to continue his people's bloodline?
"As one of noble bloodlines Jagger has a duty to not only further his peoples time in the galaxy. But see to it that their history and knowledge is not lost to time. The sands of his home worlds have already left so much in ruins.
"Many masters believe that Jagger should end his time as a Jedi. And find a few partners to carry on the Marian and Surian bloodlines."
Ahsoka says "Jagger won't pick just anyone master plus with the Sith after him he'll be even more protective of who he picks. And how to keep them protected."
Knight Rahn says, "Sounds like something any man in love would do. But I worry master what if his isolation in the order causes him to find a partner within?"
Master Saa says, "Then the council will have to face the repercussions of their decisions then."
I ask "Master Saa you say that as if the council is wrong to a degree?" Master Saa sighs to ask knight Rahn to give us a moment.
Bowing knight Rahn wishes us well and says he'll be heading to the dinning hall.
With him gone master Saa says "For years the council has neglected the simple truth that often cause some young knights even younglings to touch darker thoughts.
"The councils idea of a true Jedi often conflicts with that state of the living force.
"The force is alive as we all know but for it to be alive we must embrace such things that spark life into all things. Free thought, instinct, and often-raw emotions.
"In truth the Sith use their emotions too but they allow themselves to be easily consumed by them. Often blinding them or shifting them into an area that clouds them too greatly to change their path.
"To the Sith emotions breeds power, forbidden acts or knowledge, even control over others.
"When if trained in the light our emotions can help greatly.
"Myself and a few other Jedi have felt deep connections. Some even hid their emotional connections that we've had with others. I too once had such a connection that I wanted to leave to order for making me feel as if I was a machine.
"A machine that felt nothing but did as told in others idea of the force.
"And as we few have stated what once worked for certain others. Can't always work in the long span of life in the galaxy. Ahsoka Barriss you aren't the only two who have been connected to Jagger by the force.
"Speck with masters Ti and Unduli and ask them about the Muses it's how the other masters know of Jagger's attachment situation."
Bowing our thanks Ahsoka and I depart from the gardens to find master Luminara.
Third person's POV
Standing in the training area several Mandalorians cheer and hoot as two others square off.
Throwing punches to one another Franz asks another "So has he improved?"
The female Mandalorian sighs to say "A little cousin but he still can't get use to the uniqueness of the armor. Let alone move right in a normal fist fight."
In a spin the female kicks the face of the other Mandalorian as he tries to punch but fails. Leaping she lands a hard shin to his head. Rattling the persons head in the helmet the male groans as he drops to a knee.
Taking off the helmet it reveals Jagger is in the armor. Groaning Jagger cracks his neck as he says "Damn Floranic you kick hard."
Floranic styled in the more modern armor of the Mandalorians compared to everyone else in the room simply huffs.
Floranic says, "Your movement is still stiff and you're hardly putting up your guard. Is that armor really that hard to control?"
Another Mandalorian without armor on but wearing two gauntlets walks over. He asks, "Still stiff from my scans is right even with how unique this armor is. It draws off the wearers body heat or in Jagger's cause the fire his body can create."
Franz walks over to say "Then Jagger will just have to get more use to wearing that armor. From the collaborations in the tombs till now is all we can do.
"The only thing left is to reforge the pieces and change the internal wiring. But we can't do that until we know of all the suites limitations and abilities. Some of which can't be accessed for some reason."
Jagger groans as he stands his armor joints helping him to stand with ease.
(If you guys have played Mass Effect then Jagger is wearing the DLC armor from Dragon Age. Just with a few Mandalorian differences.)
Jagger rotates his arms to say "In my ancestors message, its clear that the rest of the items in the chest won't open until I unlock something in this armor.
"But I just wish that it wasn't so hard moving in the armor. The skintight suite I have to wear is new an all. But wearing this armor feeling it pull my flames from in me.
"It all just takes its toll on me."
Franz nods to add, "Which is why we won't stop. But we'll call it for now. You fighting without the armor has gone well from what Floranic tells me.
"And Grander says your blaster fire could us some work."
Jagger groans to say "Rapid fire and semi fire blaster just don't feel right to me. I think a blaster with more bang to it will help me."
Following Franz they get to the firing range within the clan home. Grander greets the two with a smirk.
Grander says "So our Mandalore what's the word on our friends armor training."
Franz answers, "Still horrible which is while we'll stay with simple movements and maneuvering tasks for a little while."
Grander nods add "Well it can't be helped from the tinkering I did with Lehman on that armor. It's a wonder he can even move it at all.
"But Silver I have a weapon you might be use to."
To both Jagger and Franz surprise Grander hands him a slugthrower. Jagger in surprised and delight says, "I've never thought I'd see the day I'd hold a slugthrower again.
"Where did you get one like this?"
Grander answers "The Trandoshans remember one of their capture ships had gotten a hold of a small supply shuttle a few days ago.
"The shuttle also had a few antic items to be sent off to some rich noble. The noble put up a bounty saying just kill them and bring back some mirror without damage.
"A few from the clan sent back all they had after killing the scum lizards. And I found this among other stuff that looks too good to simply melt down for weapons an parts.
"Its a heavy caliber slugthrower. Holds rounds in these special caps either in a solid round or in these pellets rounds. But from what our clan members says they can't punch through our armor.
"But they have a pretty good kick that can send us back a few feet."
Jagger looks over the slugthrower opening its cylinder to find that it has a capacity to hold six rounds.
Jagger taking a few rounds chambering the cylinder to fire at a few of the hologram targets. Changing from simple solid rounds to full pellet rounds.
Jagger stops to say "I like this but they ammo really does need an upgrade to hold a coin again tougher things."
Franz adds "Leave it to Grander and Lehman for that part. For now see to it that you work on moving in that armor better. I have a feeling sooner or later you're going to have to fight with us to help the few allies we have left."
Jagger nods as he hands the slugthrower back the Grander. Heading off on his own Jagger tries to find a moment to think.
Lechman's POV
Walking around with Jagger our friends on Aargonar have asked for aide in defending. And watching over them while they proper to mine.
The planet has a few hidden deposits of cerillium and fleximetal.
Both selling well seeing as the CIS and Republic are buying from any mining organization they can get from.
Stopping Kuff and Dale both ask if I've seen Jagger. I shrug to say "No but I'll call you once I do."
Walking around the storage area I stop hearing loud bangs. Following it I find Jagger once again trying to move as best he can in his armor.
To my surprise he's swinging what looks like a large chunk of ore. Jagger stops to ask "I know this is weird but it's working I can move in the armor. The harder I try to swing this piece of ore the more relaxed I feel."
Walking over I attach my data pad sensor and start to analyze what's going on.
Seeing the fluctuation I say, " You're right these readings are agreeing. The more stress you are with moving with that thing in your hands. The better readings your body is giving off for you to move freely.
"Alright lets see if it'll work more keep going like this maybe I can isolate the program and rewrite it."
For two hours I have Jagger swing that chunk of ore or try other things with it in his grasp. Or tied to his back.
Soon a few of the workers pop in to see Jagger moving around like a madman with the chunk of ore in his hands.
One worker asks, "Is he ok steam is coming out of his armor?"
I tell Jagger to take off the armor and relax for a while so that I can do some calibrations and tuning. Hopefully after all this I can get the armor to work without him having to carry something so large around.
Thanking whatever star Jagger was born under the armor is allowing the new calibrations.
Jagger stretching around trying to cool off as he downs another canteen full of water.
I say "Ok Jagger this is the last modification hopefully. You can relax here I'm going outside to see how the workers are getting along."
Outside the workers are setting up the small surface crawlers to find and dig for materials. While a few others are looking over maps to drop seismic charges.
One worker is petting a six-legged canine to which it starts licking and pawing at the ground.
After a short walk I find Danti looking up into the sky. Danti sends over the comms "Everyone we have company."
Soon a broadcast comes up saying, "Unknown workers on this sector leave at once. This planet is under the command of the CIS contracted Techno Frizuns matter group."
Danti sends a message back saying "You have some nerve jerkoff the CIS don't control this planet its free from both them and the Republic.
"If you want to dig go to the other side of the planet. If not and you want to pick a fight we'll be happy to answer."
The one sending the message says, "Then die like the scum you are for getting in our way."
Soon several ships are sent down with landing parties. As the ships open the various Frizuns soldiers charge into cover.
The Frizuns are a mercenary group. They pride themselves of having the best cyborg parts and body modifications in the galaxy.
Ordering the workers into cover Danti orders for our fighters to counter attack and flank. Rushing back inside to get Jagger a large rumbling and blast goes off behind me.
Hearing the loud echoes of a slugthrower Jagger's voice comes to me over the comms.
Jagger says, "Lechman I think those last calibrations well really needed. Now lets see how much punishment I can put this armor through. Oh and the armor has a name."
I ask, "Oh what's it called?"
Jagger says "Simple its called Denwen fitting really in my peoples language the name means a 'Beast of fire'."
To my shock four bursts of flames propel Jagger forward as he raises the piece of ore aiming to swing it. I just hope he doesn't get killed from his excitement.
Well hoped you liked it and if you didn't well I don't care. Drop me a review and some other fun stuff. I'll see you later!
