Phineas and Ferb
Baby Adventures of Phineas
Chapter 15: The Wagon
Disclaimer: Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me. It belongs to Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh, who have done an amazing job with this show the past 8+ years.
Candace, sitting on the couch and reading a book, caught a glimpse outside the front window and saw her baby brother strolling around the front lawn while pulling a red wagon by a silver handle. She got up and opened the front door to get a better view. Upon catching her sister watching him, he stopped and waved rapidly at her. "Hi Candy!" He shouted before resuming walking. Candace laughed and returned inside.
"Phineas sure loves his toy wagon." Candace said to her mother, who was in the kitchen baking a large cake.
"Ever since he was born." Linda said with a laugh.
"Wow, that's a big cake mom." Candace said, taking note. There were also several wrapped presents of different sizes next to the cake.
"It's for the baby shower. Margie won't stay pregnant forever."
"And the presents?"
"Also for Margie. Her husband asked me to hide them all at my house until today. You know how she hates to wait for stuff. The only question now is how am I going to get all of these presents and the cake to the car."
"I can help you carry them."
"Oh, that's very sweet of you. But they're very heavy and you could hurt yourself." Just as Linda was trying to figure out what the heck to do, Phineas came running into the house all excited.
"Mommy mommy!" He shouted happily. "I love my wagon!"
Linda couldn't help but aww at her infant son. "That's very sweet, Phineas. But Mommy's busy right now."
"Why?"
"Well, I have to move all of these presents from here to my car. But they're pretty heavy and I don't think we can all carry them safely. I could hurt my back and Candace is much too young."
Phineas studied the table of presents and Linda & Candace. His tiny brain was working overdrive. Then, out of nowhere, a solution hit him. He jumped up and down rapidly. "I know I know I know! I know just what to do!" Then he turned and bolted for the front door, laughing and giggling as he went outside. He came back inside pulling his toy wagon. He pulled it slowly into the kitchen and stopped it next to the table. "Wagon!" Less than impressed, Linda sighed.
"Phineas, I told you I'm busy. I can't play with you right now."
But Phineas shook his head rapidly and laughed. "No!" He then tried to climb up onto the table. He was helped by Candace. He put one hand on a present and used his other hand to point repeatedly at the wagon. "Wagon!"
"Wait, Mom!" Candace shouted. "I think Phineas is trying to tell us something." She picked up Phineas and held her in her arms. She kissed him gently on the forehead and got him to laugh loudly. "What is it, Phineas?"
"Can I show you Candy?"
"Sure!" She put him down on the floor. "OK, so I got the wagon!" He grabbed the wagon handle and began pulling it. "And...And you gots the presents! Put the presents in the wagon! And the PULL!" He started laughing again.
"Oh, I see!" Linda said as she knelled down and tussled his hair. "That's very smart, Phineas. How did you get so smart?"
"I don't know." He responded with another laugh.
So they carefully loaded the presents onto the wagon. Then Linda, Candace, and Phineas worked together to get the wagon out to the car, where they unloaded the presents into the trunk. Then they came back for the cake. "Cake, Mommy!" Phineas shouted.
"No, Phineas. This isn't for you." Linda said firmly.
"Awww!" Phineas whined playfully before bursting into laughter again. Linda put the cake in the wagon and pulled it out to the car, storing it in the trunk while her daughter and infant son looked on.
"That's everything." Linda said triumphantly. "Thank you kids for all your help!"
"Don't forget the wagon Mommy!" Phineas cheered, pointing to the wagon.
"Yes, Phineas. Your wagon was very helpful!" She knelled down and kissed him on the cheek causing him to laugh. "Thank you, wagon."
"The wagon likes you Mommy! And you Candy!"
They both picked him up and kissed him simultaneously, sending him into a laughter frenzy. "Hey Phineas!" Candace said, causing his head to turn to hers. "Would you like a ride in your wagon?"
Phineas's eyes lit up and he started to cheer and clap wildly. Candace kissed him again, and placed him in the wagon. She then proceeded to pull the handle and take him on a wagon ride all around the lawn. Phineas kept cheering and laughing as Candace kept pulling him. Meanwhile Linda took out her video camera and filmed the whole thing, and she got to watch as Candace joined in on the laughter too.
Without doing much, Phineas managed every day to inspire happiness and laughter into everyone he met. That is why he is so beloved in Danville.
End of Chapter 15.
A/N: Sorry this one is shorter. Hopefully I can churn out some longer ones.
