Phineas and Ferb

Baby Adventures of Phineas

Chapter 17: The Box

Disclaimer: Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me. It belongs to Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh, who have done an amazing job with this show the past 8+ years.

Phineas was seated in the living room, playing with his stuffed dog while Linda and Candace were in the kitchen, busy making dinner. Suddenly the doorbell rang. Phineas, still clutching his toy, stood up and ran to the door.

"Who is it?" He asked nicely; Linda got wind and headed towards the front door.

"Special delivery!" A voice said on the other side.

"Who is it?" He asked again, clearly a little flustered now. Linda picked him and his toy up into her arms. She opened the door revealing a delivery guy wheeling in a giant box.

"Just bring it right in." Linda told him. The delivery man brought in the box and set it down on the floor. "Here you go, ma'am. Your new elliptical." Both he and Linda opened the box and pulled the machine out, setting it right next to the box.

"Thank you so much. I've been waiting for this for weeks." Linda exclaimed.

"What is it, Mom?" Candace asked her, observing the machine up close.

"It's called an elliptical. It's a workout machine. It's going to help me get into better shape."

Candace turned to Phineas, who had his vision in that direction. "What do you think, Phineas?"

Upon her saying that, Phineas dashed towards the elliptical. "Phineas no, that's not for you!" Linda shouted, but instead of going for the elliptical, he instead headed for the box. He dashed through the opening and ran into it, playing with the leftover bubble wrap.

"I think he likes the box." Candace said with a giggle.

Linda bent down and peered inside the box, laughing heartily at her infant son playing with the bubble wrap and with the walls of the box. "Phineas?" She said; he darted his vision towards her. "Do you like the box?"

"Yes I like the box, Mommy." He said, resuming playing. He threw the bubble wrap all over the box and back again, constantly laughing loudly. Linda, Candace, and the delivery guy all laughed in unison watching the infant have fun.

Later that day, Phineas was still playing with the box. This time, he was using it as his "fort." He sat outside the opening with a stick and a shirt tied to it. He smiled and giggled as he lightly waved his stick around. Candace walked into the room. "Hi Phineas."

He waved frantically with his free hand. "Hi Candy! Do you like my fort?"

Candace laughed. "Yes I do Phineas. It's a very nice fort. And are you the president?"

Phineas stared blankly into space, utterly confused, before Candace's laughter broke the ice.

"Can I come play in your fort with you?"

"Yes you can Candy." Phineas moved over slightly and let Candace sit next to him. She kissed his face ten times over and he laughed. He spotted his mother coming over and started waving. "Hi Mommy!"

"Hi Phineas."

"Phineas is the president of his fort." Candace said. She and Linda shared another laugh as Phineas stared into space again.

"Mommy, do you like my fort?"

Linda tickled Phineas under his chin. He giggled cutely. "Yes I do, it's beautiful. You're so smart."

"Thank you Mommy! Do you wanna sit with me?"

Linda took a seat next to him. "Sure! What are you doing?"

"I dunno." He kept waving his stick around as Linda and Candace both broke into laughter, then started hugging and kissing him uncontrollably. The boy laughed like nothing they've ever heard before, exuding more happiness than one could imagine.

End of Chapter 17.

Sorry this one is so short. I'll make sure the next one is much longer. :)
