HEYYYYY!!! I'm starting to get back into things, but school started last week, so I may take longer to post stories. Sorry, but I promise, I'll try my hardest to get stories out! :)
Enjoy the Story!
Soul had finished fixing her wounds, she hid her bruises with some make-up and stopped the bloody nose. Just in time for class too.
She ran into classroom, just as the bell rang, found her spot right next to Maka.
"Hey Soul?" Maka asked kinda sheepishly. "Where were you?"
"Oh, uh." She looked at the girls, who had beaten her up. "I just got a late start, that's all."
"Okay, whatever you say."
Black*Star and Tsubaki weren't late late, but they barely made it in time. Black*Star sat next to Soul and Tsubaki sat next to Maka.
"HEY! So you decided to show up, huh?!" Black*Star nearly yelled.
"Yeah, Maka was kinda worried." Tsubaki added.
Maka and Soul kinda blushed.
"W-well, um-" Soul was interrupted by the teacher.
"Okay class," the teacher clapped their hands to quiet the class. "Lets get started on today's lesson."
After classes, around lunch time. Maka and Soul walked together to the cafeteria.
Soul was on edge and Maka could see it.
"What's wrong?" Maka finally asked once they got to their table.
"Just kinda nervous, that's all." Soul replied.
She was nervous, nervous those girls would see her transform into a must up looking sythce.
"Don't be!" Maka said, pulling Soul out of her thoughts.
"I'll try."
"Once you get the hang of your form, we'll be able to start training!"
"Yeah."
"Then, once we get into the EAT class, we can make you into a death scythe."
Soul only nodded.
"Then, my mother will have to start taking care of herself-" the words slipped from his mouth.
Soul's expression changed, from happy to blank.
"Wait Soul, that's not what I-" Soul stopped him.
"No, no, I understand, you'll just throw me away once I became a death scythe." Soul said those words with such a painful tone.
"You'll go have a happy family, while I will be just yesterday's trash."
"Soul.."
Soul stood up and walked out of the cafeteria, Maka tried to stop her, but she was long gone.
'Stupid...' Maka thought.
Soul didn't show up to the rest of her classes, so Maka decided to go visit her. He knew he wasn't allowed into the girls dorms, but he just had to make things right.
Once no one was around, he snuck into the girls dorm, but now later than he did, he heard girls coming. He dove under a table and hid, the giggling girls walked into the kitchen.
"Well, well, well, look who's here." One of the girls said.
"Freak wants round 2?" One of the other girls asked, Maka knew most of their names, they always hang around with each other.
There was Jessica, Rachel, and Ruby. That's all he knew, but he was pulled out of his thoughts, when he heard a familiar voice.
"Please, just leave me be..." Maka analyzed the voice, it was Soul's!
"Awe, freak wants to be left alone." Ruby's voice almost echoed through Maka's head.
'Freak?!' He thought, it took all his will to not move.
"Just run along, back to your meister." Jessica sneered. "Oh wait, I saw that little show, he's just using you."
The other girls laughed, he heard Soul almost wince in pain.
"But I guess you already knew that.."
Maka heard something, or someone..slam into the cabinet. The girls just laughed.
"Lets go before someone comes." Jessica said leaving the kitchen.
Once the girls left, Maka crawled out from underneath the table and slowly walked into the kitchen.
He saw Soul just, lying there, he rushed over to her and slowly helped her up.
"M-Maka?" Soul finally said through her tears.
"Hey.." Maka said looking at the wound on her head.
"W-What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to talk, can we go to your room?"
Soul nodded and lead Maka to her room, once they were safe from the world, beyond the door. Soul took out some acholic wipes and band aids.
"Do you um, need some help?" Maka asked, rubbing his neck.
"I might, once the burning starts it's kinda hard to keep moving on." Soul handed him the wipes.
He took a closer look at the open, bleeding wounds, one on her head and her nose was kinda bleeding as well.
"I wish the wound wasn't so close to your eye, this makes it a little harder."
"It's okay, it's not the first time."
Maka's eyes widened at that, Soul could feel his eyes just starting at her in disbelief. Maka couldn't believe this wasn't the first time, how could anyone do that? 'This isn't right, they can't, shouldn't..' his thoughts were in a jumble. How could she let this happen? Why didn't she tell him? How come he just sat under that table and let them do that?
"Just, tell me what you want so you can leave." Soul's harsh words pulled Maka out of thought.
Maka gently placed the wipe on her wound, which lead her to wince in pain.
"S-sorry." Maka apologized.
"I-it's fine.." Soul replied trying not to flinch.
Some tears flowed down her face, which weren't really noticeable in the dark room. Maka continued to apply small pressure, which made Soul cry even more, now a little bit more noticeable.
"It's okay to cry," Maka said look at the small girl. "crying helps letting pressure release."
Saying those words, Soul began to cry, more and more. Maka pulled her into a hug, not to tight, but tight enough for her to know that she was safe.
"I'm sorry!" Soul muffled into Maka's shirt.
Maka stroked his partner's head, pushing some strain of hairs behind her ears.
"Sorry for what?" Maka asked.
"I'm sorry for leaving you there! I'm so, so sorry!" Soul tears continue to flow.
"It's not your fault, it's mine. I said those words to you, but they aren't true."
Soul looked up a little, her tears seemed to be endless.
"You didn't deserve that." Maka noticed the dry blood, on Soul's head.
"You already had so much going on.."
Soul buried her face into his shirt again and squeezed him tighter.
"T-thank you.." Soul muffled into her meister's shirt. The seemingly endless tears, came to an end.
"Soul, would you um, like to live with me?" Maka's words were quiet, but still surprising to both of them.
"What?" Soul said kinda breaking apart their hug, just enough for them both to look each other in the eyes.
"Um, do you want to live with me?" Maka blushed slightly, but wasn't noticeable to see in the dark.
"Really?" Soul asked.
"Really."
"Well, I guess I'll accept your offer." Soul said smiling.
"We'll make it clear with the school tomorrow, for now, get some sleep."
Soul yawned, and crawled into bed. Maka put a band aid over her wound, said goodnight, and snuck out of her room back into the darkness.
Soul fell asleep instantly, dreaming of how life would hopefully change.
Maka made it back to his apartment and crawled onto the couch, he looked up at the ceiling and smiled. Tomorrow, his partner would be living with him.
'Such a fragile, yet strong girl.' He thought closing his eyes. 'We got over our first fight, as well.' He felt like she was the one, the best partner for him. He fell into a deep sleep, thinking about his partner living with him.
Hey, so I hope you enjoyed this story, and before you leave, maybe leave me a review? Y'know if you want.
