Chapter 4: ChatBlanc

Chat ran across the roofs of Paris. He was running away from Ladybug. The real Ladybug.

He didn't know why he was running but he was.

He turned to see if she was following him. He looked into her sky blue eyes. She used his batton to launch himself up and to the roof across the street.

He heard the zing of Ladybug's yoyo. He saw the spotted hero in the corner of his eye.

He ran a bit faster, biting back the tears. He came to a stop when he saw the black akuma. "This can't be." He whispered to himself. "No no no." He muttered to himself as he ran away from it.

He stopped and accepted defeat. He turned to face Ladybug. "I'm sorry M'lady." He told her as the dark akuma went his ring.

"No!" He heard her yell.

"Hello Chat Noir. I'm Shadow Moth as you know." He heard his enemy say. His eyes turned a menacing yellow. "I just want to help you. I want to give you the infinite power of destruction. You can live happily ever after with Ladybug. You just need to give me her Miraculous. Become Chat Blanc."

"Yes Shadow moth." He said giving into the sadness and the anger boiling inside of him.

A black smoke surrounded him and when it disappeared, chat was wearing a silver suit. His eyes were still the piercing yellow as when Shadow Moth spoke to him. He looked over at Ladybug who lifted her head at him. He looked into her determined sky blue eyes.

"Well, hello Ladybug." Ladybug's face softened.

"I don't want to fight Chat Noir." She cried. Chat Blanc paused. He just wants to live happily ever after with her.

"I don't want to fight you either." Ladybug's mouth opened at the news. "But I want to live happily ever after with you. I just need you Miraculous."

He said, pleading that she would just give up.

"I can't. You know that." Ladybug said in a calming voice. "Please Chat Noir. Let me purify your akuma." Ladybug said, trying to reach him.

"I can't. And even if I can, you can't destroy it."

Ladybug looked down, knowing that it was true. As long as he has negative emotions running through him, he can't be Chat Noir. He can't be her Chat Noir again. Realization hit her.

"I don't need to." She had a plan. All she had to do was pin him can either fight it or let her help him. "Please Chat, just let me help you." She pleaded.

"No." He responded. He jumped up and tried to hit her with his boton. Ladybug dodged it. Ladybug got her yoyo ready. She threw it at him and tied him up. "Please, I don't fight you."

"Oh that friendliness. I adore it but, It won't help you this time." Chat said. "Cataclysm." He said, trying to use his infinite power of destruction. Ladybug quickly pulled back her yoyo.

She started to run away from him even though she wanted to run towards him. She looked behind her to see him running after her.

He jumped up and held his baton up in the air. Ladybug dodged him when he was coming down. "I'm finally going to find out who you are Ladybug." Chat said, attacking again.

Ladybug knew that she had to fight him. He seemed to still have the same power. Hawk Moth probably gave him the infinite power of destruction.

"Lucky Charm!" She yelled. She threw her yoyo in the air and a white rose appeared. "A white rose." She didn't need to try to figure out what to do. Chat tried to give her a white rose once and it meant true love. A true love's kiss saved him once. She needs to talk to him.

"Chatton!" She said. They were standing in front of the fountain in the park across from where Marinette lives. "Please Mon Chotton. I know this isn't you." She said.

"You know nothing about me." Chat spat out.

Ladybug knew that that was true but denied it. "I know the real Chat Noir wouldn't try to hurt me. He would do anything to save me. I know you remember all those times you saved my life. I want you to know that I really wanted to save you from that akuma. I should have caught it or got in front of it. I'm sorry I didn't." Chat just stared at her.

"I know you remember. How you jumped in front of me every time I was attacked. Chat Noir, you're the best partner I could have asked for. I'm glad you got the cat miraculous. The truth is, I love your puns and you're nicknames, even 'bugaboo.' Chat, I love you." Chat's eyes widen.

"You have to fight the akuma. Please mon Chatton. You are not Chat Blanc. You are Chat Noir, and I love you. Come back Mon Amour"

Chat's memories flashed before his eyes.

"Chat Noir and I are a team. You take me on, you take Chat Noir on too." Her voice said in his mind.

"Trust me on this, ok?" He heard himself say.

"What if Chat Noir doesn't show up?" He heard himself say as Adrien.

"Oh he will. I trust him." He heard her say.

The memories kept on coming. "Whoever she is under that mask, I love that girl." He said when they faced Stoneheart again.

"Did you order a giant beast M'lady?" He said when they defeated Gorilla.

"I knew I can count on you kitty." She said, ready to defeat the akuma.

"Chat Noir, you know you're irreplaceable." She said when they defeated Anasi.

"You're more than a partner Chat Noir, you're my friend."

"Thanks for keeping your promise M'lady."

"We are a team aren't we?"

"Our team crumbled."

"Then let's go back to what always works, a duo. You and me against the world M'lady."

"You know I love fighting by your side M'lady, but I could never bring myself to fight you." Those words. Fight you. They kept ringing in his head.

"M'lady?" He asked. He was fighting the akuma.

"Chat Noir." She said. She sounded desperate to have him back.

He heard Shadow moth speak in his ear. "What do you think you're doing?"

Chat's eyes turned green as he fought the akuma. Ladybug ran to his side. "Chat?" She asked. Chat looked into her eyes and blinked and his eyes turned back to the yellow they were. Chat lost his balance and fell to the hard ground.

"Go. I can't hold it off for long." Tears were starting to form.

Ladybug shakes her head as she cries. "No," she said to him. "You and me against the world."

She leaned her head and kissed him right there. Her eyes were closed. She opened them as she pulled away. The Shadow Moth logo appeared over Chat's face.

"Let him go." She demanded, knowing he heard her.

"Fine, if you want him, take him." Shadow moth said through Chat. Chat screamed as the akuma came out of his ring and turned white. Chat fell unconscious in her arms.

She picked him up and brought him home. She felt tears roll down her face but controlled. Her earrings beeped and she transformed back into Marinette.
