It was the start of summer break, and Kirishima had made plans for a movie night with Kaminari. The former's room was being used, a laptop on the bed as the two boys would sit close together to view the screen.

They prepared snacks to fuel them through as many movies as possible. This included a large bowl of popcorn, an assortment of candy, and several cans of soda. They also planned to have pizza delivered later.

"I think we have too much food," Kaminari stated after they got everything set up. "Maybe we should invite some of the others over."

"No!" Kirishima shouted, louder than he meant to.

Kaminari jumped a little, startled. He raised an eyebrow at his friend.

Kirishima's eyes widened, realizing his mistake, and rubbed the back of his neck. "I, uh, I've got a big appetite today. Don't worry. None of this will go to waste." He chuckled nervously, hoping Kaminari wouldn't question him any further.

He couldn't say that the real reason for not wanting anyone else to join was because he was crushing hard on his best friend, and desired to spend the night alone with him.

Wow, that sounded really creepy. He didn't mean anything inappropriate by it, but now he couldn't help but feel weird about the whole thing. He would be right beside Kaminari, on his bed, for several hours, while his friend was completely oblivious to his romantic feelings.

Now Kirishima felt guilty and ashamed. He looked down, wondering if he should call this whole thing off. But his thoughts were interrupted by a hand on his shoulder.

"You okay man?"

He looked up and nodded, about to open his mouth and speak.

"Then let's get started!" Kaminari sat down, getting comfortable as he grabbed a handful of popcorn.

He looked so happy. There was no way Kirishima could back out now. He'd have to scold himself later.

The redhead took a seat, hands shaking slightly as he started the first movie. He had never been this nervous around Kaminari before. Yeah, he'd liked him as more than a friend for awhile now, but the intensity of those emotions had skyrocketed recently.

And now, the two were alone and in very close proximity to one another. Kirishima didn't realize just how serious this was going to be, and now it was too late. Focusing on the movies at this point would probably be impossible.

"You wanna order the pizza after this one's over?" Kaminari asked.

"Y-Yeah." 'Just look at the screen,' he kept telling himself.

He reached into the bowl of popcorn, eyes on the laptop. Kaminari had done the same just a second before, and their hands touched.

Kirishima immediately retracted his hand, knocking the bowl over in the process. "Ah! I'm sorry!"

Kaminari smiled. "It's cool dude. Your blanket is clean. We can still eat this." He picked the spilled popcorn up, placing it back in the bowl.

That wasn't what Kirishima was apologizing for, but if the mess distracted Kaminari from the real problem, that was perfectly fine with him.

They continued the movie, Kirishima being sure to glance at the bowl before reaching in from now on.

The popcorn was soon finished, and Kirishima sipped a soda, beginning to relax and enjoy the movie. Maybe he had been worrying about nothing.

"Hey, can I have some kisses?"

The redhead choked on his drink, coughing.

"Whoa! You alright?" Kaminari reached over and pat his back a few times.

Kirishima nodded, avoiding eye contact as his face grew warm. "Yeah. Just swallowed wrong."

Kaminari gave him a minute to catch his breath, then spoke again. "I was just wondering if you could hand me some Hershey's Kisses."

"Oh, sure." He handed some over quickly. 'Of course that's all he meant idiot!'

This was going to be a long night.
