Test: So, what happened after they rescued the Elder Cyclopes?
Zoe: Well actually, Percy met everyone's favorite centaur.
Test: He met Chiron? How did it happen?
Zoe: Honestly, he never told me. It was one of the very few things her never told me about. All he told me was that when they first met, they almost killed each other.
Test: What, really?! That's crazy, I never heard that before!
Zoe: No one has. All I know is that when Percy found them he was with other centaurs, which is what you now know as the Party Ponies and clear sighted mortals. They were working together to defend a village. This is also how Percy and the god learned about mortals.
Test: It must have been crazier time to be a clear sighted mortal in those times where monster were more prevalent in the world.
Zoe: Yes, but with the addition of the Party Ponies and growing numbers of clear sighted mortals joining the fight, the gods decided it was finally time to march on Mount Othrys
It was early morning of the day the gods would march onto Mount Orthys and overthrow Kronos and the Titans. At least that's what everyone was thinking, there was no room for failure. It was an all or nothing assault on the Titan stronghold. It had been two years since they rescued the Elder Cyclopes, making Percy 14 now.
Percy could see the sun peeking over the mountains and over Mount Orthys in the distance with the birds chirping the trees above him. He would dare even say it was a beautiful view if it weren't for the evil looking structure sticking out like a sore dumb.
"It's time Percy." said a familiar voice from behind Percy.
Percy turned around to see a familiar half man half horse who he had become very close friends with recently.
"Alright." he said to the centaur.
They walked in silence until Percy spoke up, "Chiron, whatever happens in the next coming hours, it was an honor to meet you. You have taught me a lot and have been an incredible friend that anyone could hope to have."
Chiron stopped in his tracks and turned to Percy while putting a hand on his shoulder, "Percy, I know we will win this war with this final battle and that we will both make it out of this to tell the tale."
Percy smiled, "Thanks, now let's not keep them waiting any longer." Chiron nodded and they continued walking to the center of the camp where everyone was.
"Ah, now that Percy is here we can start." said Poseidon, noticing the pair first. Hestia flashed him a smile, to which Percy smiled back.
"Now, Percy and Chiron will be commanding the ground forces and take on the monsters. Chiron will take the bulk of the army and march to the front gate on the south side. Percy you will take your battalion and march on the north side where it will be less defended. You will have less resistance as Chiron attracts most of the forces. You and your battalion with have to infiltrate the stronghold and open the front gates for Chiron's. Once you guys rendezvous, you main objective is to destroy the thrones of the Titans. This will severely weaken the Titans and give us the upper hand." announced Poseidon.
"If there are any Titans, do not engage. They won't be able to interfere with the Ancient Laws. They should all be focused on us, but just be aware." warned Hestia.
Everyone gathered, nodded their heads in agreement. They all thought this would be the best plan for victory.
"We all know why we have gathered here. Today is the day we storm Mount Orthys and free this realm of our Father's hold on it. We will topple Mount Orthys and any Titans and monsters that get in our way. We will bring in a new age with this victory. And we will not fail, we will win for all those who have passed, in helping us to get to where we are now. Good luck everyone." boomed Zeus.
Everyone cheered.
This was going to work Percy told himself, because if it didn't, he didn't know what he would do.
"Everyone dismissed, make final preparations. We march in 30 minutes." said Hades.
Percy watched as everyone dispersed to make final preparations. He saw his parents coming over to him.
"Percy, no matter what happens and by the time this day is over, just know that we love you more than anything in the world. You are our baby boy and I don't want you to ever forget that." said Hestia while pulling Percy into a hug to which Percy gladly accepted.
Poseidon joined the hug, "I'm proud of you son. You have shown me the happiness of being a father. You are the greatest son I could ever have."
"Thanks mom, thanks dad, for everything you guys have taught and done for me." said Percy.
"We must go now, we will see you after all this." said Hestia while pulling away. With that Percy watched as his parent walked off to go join his uncles and aunts. Percy loved them too and was grateful for everything they have taught him too.
Percy turned to see the Hekatonkheires waiting for him nearby. He walked over to them, "You guys ready?" he asked.
"More than ever." said Briares while his two brothers nodded in unison.
The four of them walked over to forest clearing where Percy's battalion was waiting. It was a mix of Elder Cyclopes and clear sighted mortals totaling to about 250. There were no centaurs in the group because the way they were going to enter the stronghold wouldn't be possible for them. Chiron had a force of about 750 making their entire army about 1000 strong.
"Everyone is ready to move out on your command." said a voice.
Percy turned to his left and saw a pair of clear sighted mortals looking at him. The one who spoke was a guy named Eric. The girl standing next to him was Alice. They were a married couple in their early 20s and clear sighted mortals he had found in a village being attacked by monsters. They had become good friends with Percy and quickly became people he knew he could depend on when going on his missions. They were both skilled in combat too. Alice was one of their best bowmen and Eric was unrivaled with a spear and shield
"Give the order to move." said Percy.
~~ Line Break ~~
Percy could hear the faint screams of fighting from the other side of the mountain. Percy, Eric, and Alice were near the peak of the mountain where the Titan stronghold sat. They hadn't had much trouble except for a few sentries they had taken out quietly with the help of Alice's bow and Percy's throwing knives. The rest of Percy's group were a little further back to remain unseen while the trio took out the sentries.
"Looks like we are clear except for the empousai sentries at the top of the wall." Alice whispered to the two while pointing to the empousai on top of the 40 foot high wall.
Eric cupped his hands and made a chirping noise, which signaled the rest of their group to start moving up. After a few seconds there was a chirp back confirming the order. If any monster heard they would be clueless, thinking it was just birds in the trees.
Once the rest of the forces arrived, the Hekatonkheires walked up to the trio.
"We are going have to time the throws with the empousai on the wall." said Percy to the Hekatonkheires while unsheathing his xiphos.
As the two empousai were nearing the section of the wall where the six of them were, each of the Hekatonkheires picked one person up and threw up onto the top of the wall. Briares threw Percy towards one of the empousai and Cottus threw Eric towards the other. Gyges threw Alice behind them in case anything else was coming.
As the trio landed, Percy and Eric killed their respective empousai, clearing the area. Percy ran over to the side of the wall and signaled the Hekatonkheires it was all clear. The Hekatonkheires signaled the rest of the group to move up. The cyclopes and humans threw grappling hooks up onto the wall. As the first group started to near the top of the wall Percy saw one of the bricks that one of the grappling hooks was on started to come loose. Percy saw the brick become looser and looser as the person climbing it neared the top. Percy started to run towards the brick, but it was too late. He watched in horror as the brick came out and with it, the grappling hook. The person screamed as he fell to his death.
However, this scream didn't come unnoticed. Three empousai sentries nearby had heard the scream and that's when they noticed the trio on top of the ball.
"Intruders!" hissed one the empousai.
Percy quickly took one of his throwing knives and threw it at the empousa in the front as Alice let loose two arrows from her bow. Unfortunately for them, as the weapons flew, one of the emposuai had turned to ring the bell. Just before the arrow could pierce the empousa's heart, she had reached the bell. Just when she was about to ring it, the arrow struck her.
"That was close." said Eric nervously. As quickly as those words came out of his mouth, before the empousa's body exploded into golden dust, she fell onto the bell ringing it anyways.
"Well looks like our cover is blown." said Alice.
Percy turned around to see that around a total of 30 cyclopes and human had already climbed up the wall. He looked over the wall to see the Hekatonkheires scaling the wall with their hands and were almost at the top.
"Briares, Cottus, and Gyges, meet us at the gate when you get up here! We are going ahead on the west side of the wall! You guys go from the east with half of the forces!" Percy yelled down to the trio.
Percy looked at the 30 men he had up on the wall already, "Twenty of you come with us now to get this party started. The remaining ten, defend the grapples. As more of them come up, send them to the gate."
With the orders given, Percy, Eric, Alice and twenty of their men head to the main gate. They ran on top of the wall while killing any monsters that got in their way and the front gates.
"Percy, look the gates are right over there!" shouted Eric while thrusting his spear into the head of a hellhound.
"We need to get there quickly! We can't keep Chiron waiting any longer!" yelled Percy as he cut the head off of a laistrygonian giant.
As the group pushed forward, they cut down monster after monster, but not without suffering casualties. At this point, all of Percy's battalion was on the wall fighting for their lives whether they were in the demigod's group or the Hekatonkheires' group. He could see them battling just as hard across on the other side of the stronghold making their way to the gates. Slowly, but surely both forces were nearing each other to the gate leaving a trail of golden dust in their wake.
Finally after what seemed like eons, both groups made it to the gates. Percy could see Chiron's forces fighting hordes of monsters outside the gates.
"Open this gate quickly! Once we open it, Eric I want you to half of our remaining forces and attack the horde from behind. Alice, you and the remaining half defend the gate. Gyges and Briares you stay here with Alice. Cottus go with Eric." Percy barked the orders as he started to crank the gate open. As it started to crack open, some of Percy's forces spilled through the gate to attack the horde of monsters from behind.
Once the gate was fully open, he turned the Briares, "Throw me into the middle of the monsters."
Briares carefully picked Percy and asked, "Ready?"
"Ready." came the reply. As soon as the words left his mouth, he was launched into the air. From up here he could see the entire battlefield before him. Chiron's group had suffered a lot a casualties from the look of it, but the monsters didn't have it any better. His mind went to his parents and the other gods, wondering how they were faring against the Titans wherever they were fighting. Ever since they started fighting, the skies got dark and cloudy and loud booms could be heard in the distance. He prayed to each of them, hoping they were winning.
As Percy reached the peak height, he prepared himself. He dove down, but right and he was about to hit the ground, he did a flip so he would be upright. He landed with an earthshattering boom that caused columns of the earth to protrude out knocking over all the monsters around him. Dust and dirt was in the air creating a sort of smokescreen (dirtscreen?). Percy stood up from his kneeling position and pulled out his swords and set them ablaze. He watched as the red-orange flames that licked Maelstrom and Solar Flare with equal intensity turn blue causing him to smile. He had been working harder over these past two years to make his flames even hotter.
Percy took advantage of the monsters confusion and sliced through all the monsters around him before they could regain their bearings. As the smokescreen cleared, Percy looked around for Chiron. At the same time Chiron was looking for Percy, knowing it was him who had caused the massive earthquake. When their eyes locked, they nodded to each other.
With renewed vigor, Chiron yelled a single order, "Charge!"
Seeing the reinforcements arrive and gates open, Chiron's forces pushed the monsters back.
Percy cut down monster after monster while making his way towards Chiron.
"My boy, thank you for the help. Your time is impeccable, but I do dare say that entrance may have been a little much." chuckled Chiron.
"Well I learned it from my dear uncle Zeus." said Percy with a small smile.
"Now let us storm the inside of the stronghold and destroy those thrones." said Chiron.
Percy nodded as the combined forces finished off the remaining monsters.
With the battle over Chiron ordered his army, "Medics take care of the wounded. First, second and third squads will stay back to protect the wounded. The rest, we are joining the rest of Percy's forces to break into the Titan stronghold."
After the army was splitting up to their assigned task, Percy and Chiron headed towards the outer wall with the remaining forces where they met up with Eric, Alice and the Hekatonkheires.
"The rests of the monster within the wall retreated into the stronghold shortly after you lead you rear attack on the horde. We finished off any stragglers quickly and haven't had seen activity since." Alice reported to Percy and Chiron.
"Very good, thank you Alice. Have the wounded take down to the other wounded so they can be treated. Then meet us back here." said Percy.
"Understood." she replied before running off.
Percy turned to the Hekatonkheires and asked, "How are you guys holding up?"
"Eh we've been in worse shape before." answered Cottus.
Alice came back after a few minutes later after relaying the order.
"Now, for the hardest part yet. Chiron I need you to coordinate your remaining squads to do a full sweep of the stronghold. I will be giving you the remainder of my forces to be under your command. I will take Briares, Gyges, Cottus, Eric and Alice to the throne room if they are all willing to come with me. Chiron, I need you to cause a much noise as possible, to draw as many monsters away from the throne room as possible." said Percy.
"I will do my best." said Chiron.
"Of course I'm willing to come, no way am I letting you have all the fun." grinned Eric, as the others nodded in agreement.
"Then it's settled. I'll get everyone ready." said Chiron.
As Chiron was leaving Percy called out, "Good luck!"
"You too." he called over his shoulder.
~~Line Break~~
It had been thirty minutes since Chiron and his forces went into the stronghold.
"That should be enough time. This is where we end the rule of the Titans. Let's go." Percy announced to the group. He noticed everyone had determined looks on their faces and knew this was it. They had to win here.
With that, the group ascended into the ominous looking stronghold. The group could hear fighting, the clashing of the metal, the scream and grunts of pains all around them from the various groups fighting. As much as Percy wanted to help everyone, he knew he couldn't, he had an important task he had to complete to finish this war.
As the sextet navigated their ways through the long corridors of the stronghold, they started to hear the faint noise of flapping wings coming closer. Before they could react, Gyges was thrown into the wall and Cottus was tackled to the ground. The others were able to just barely able to get out of the way in time before being crush by Cottus and whatever tackled him.
Percy quickly got up and turned to see who had attacked them. It was no other than Kampe, reformed and back with a vengeance.
"Hekatonkheires, you will die! After I've finished you three, I will get my revenge on that boy there too!" hissed Kampe as she raised her scimitars to stab Cottus.
But before she could finish him off, Briares tackled her and turned to Percy, "Go, finish the mission! We'll take care of her!"
"But-"
"Go!" yelled Briares cutting off Percy right before she was thrown off of Kampe. When she regained her bearing the three Hekatonkheires were ready, in a fighting stance.
"Come on Percy, we have to go." Alice said, pulling Percy's arm while Eric nodded in agreement.
"They can handle her, they're some of the strongest guys I know." stated Eric.
With that the trio ran down the corridor although reluctantly with the sound of Kampe's hissing fading away.
Not long after running away from Kampe, the trio found two large intricately and beautifully designed doors.
"This must be it." said Percy.
The trio carefully pushed open the doors to see a twelve thrones in a U shape.
"How are we supposed to destroy all of these?" asked Eric.
"Luckily for us, we only need to destroy only six of them. Lady Rhea was able to convince the other Titans to remain neutral after convincing them to see that Kronos had gone mad. The thrones we need to destroy are Kronos's, Atlas's, Iapetus's, Koios's, Hyperion's, and Krios's thrones (AN: these were the only Titans to fight according to the PJ wiki)." said Percy.
"I'll work on destroying them, you two just make sure no one comes in." continued Percy.
The couple nodded and went near the large door to stand guard.
Percy looked at the thrones before deciding which one he was going to destroy first. He walked over to Hyperion's throne before stopping in front of it.
"Time for a little revenge." smirked Percy before closing his eyes and concentrating. He could feel the tug in his guy coming at him in full force. He needed to uses everything he had to destroy the throne.
Hyperion's throne burst into flame, at first it was a reddish-orange, then it a blue hue started to appear before it was fully engulfed in blue flame. With even more concentration, Percy pushed himself even more and the fire started to flicker green. While the flame started to turn green, Percy used his powers from Poseidon to form pillars surrounding the thrones to crush it.
As the throne started to crack a little bit, Alice noticed, "Percy its wor-" Alice was interrupted as she coughed out blood, looking down to see a sword sticking out of her stomach. The sound alone made Percy lose concentration and turned to the pair who was no longer alone.
"No!" screamed, Eric as he turned his attention to the assailant and charged, thrusting his spear in anger. Before Eric could react, the pulled his sword out of Alice's stomach while kicking her body off of it and parrying the thrust. The parry sent the spear flying across the throne room. The assailant grabbed Eric by the neck and lifted him up.
"Don't worry mortal, you will join her." he said as he stabbed his sword through Eric's stomach too.
Eric turned to Percy with a weak smile on his face, "I'm sorry Percy." he said with his final breath.
"How cute, now you will die too child. I've been waiting for this moment since the last time we met. I will have my revenge for humiliating me and now you dare try to destroy my throne!" Hyperion finished with a yell while charging at Percy with his blade ablaze.
Percy barely had time to jump out of the way as Hyperion slashed at his torso. Percy pulled out his own xiphos just in time to black the next strike aimed at his neck. The attack however pushed Percy off balance. Hyperion saw this punched Percy across the face. Before Percy could react, Hyperion swung his golden sword in a diagonal arc cutting deep into Percy's chest down to his hip, drawing blood causing Hyperion to smile.
Thinking quickly, Percy conjured a ball of darkness and throwing it at Hyperion's face to obstruct his vision while backing up. However, Hyperion laughed before setting his helmet on fire, ridding himself of the darkness.
"You may have gotten stronger, but you are no match for a Titan. You are just a mere mortal and this time you don't have those pesky hundred handed brothers of mine to help you." taunted Hyperion as he walked closer to Percy.
Percy knew he was in trouble. Hyperion was right, he wouldn't be able to beat Hyperion by himself. Nevertheless, Percy wasn't just going to give up and accept death. He would fight his hardest. With a new look of determination, Percy raised his xiphos, painting slightly.
"Oh?" said Hyperion intrigued by Percy's will to still fight.
Hyperion charged and swung his golden sword with speed that Percy couldn't keep up with. He was barely blocking and didn't have enough energy to try and use anymore of his powers. With each swing of Hyperion's blade, more and more cut appeared on Percy's worn body. They weren't deep and at this point Percy could tell Hyperion was toying with him.
Hyperion feinted and overhead swing and when Percy went to block it, Hyperion quickly changed his attack, disarming Percy and sending his skidding away.
"Any last words child?" asked Hyperion as raised his sword.
"You may kill me, but you won't win this war." responded Percy.
"The Titans will win and destroy the gods." he said before bringing sword down.
Percy closed his eyes waiting for the Titan's sword, but it never came. He opened his eyes to see a sight that shocked him. Maelstrom was sticking through the Titan's throat and Solar Flare through his stomach with a beautiful weapon behind him. He gave one last murderous look at Percy before shining into a bright light causing Percy to look away while Hyperion exploded. Once the light subsided, Percy opened his eyes to see the same beautiful weapon standing before him with her hand outstretched to him.
As he grabbed her hand and felt energy creeping into his body, closing his wounds completely but leaving scars in the deeper wounds. He studied her. She had a warm and comforting aura rolling off her, similar to his mother. She had jet black hair and green eyes that were similar to his father's. She wore a simple white chiton with a golden lion pendant hanging around her neck. She had a simple yet elegant golden circlet on her head.
As soon as he realized who had saved him, he bowed immediately which caused the woman in front of him to chuckle.
"Rise my grandson." she said simply.
"Thank you for saving me Lady Rhea. I am forever in your debt." Percy said.
"You have no reason to be in my debt. I am just doing what is the correct thing to do for my family. I am sorry about your friends, but I will send them over to your forces outside of the stronghold so they can be properly buried." she said as she handed Percy back his swords. He quickly took them and sheathed them. Then she waved her hand and the bodies disappeared.
"Thank you again Lady Rhea. I just wish I could have done more for them." said Percy sadly.
"The Titans are on their last legs. As we speak Iapetus has just been defeated, leaving only my husband, Atlas, and Krios alive. The rest have been defeated. I can help you destroy their thrones to weaken them." informed Rhea while leading them to Atlas's throne.
Percy nodded as he followed her, remembering he still had a mission to accomplish.
He watched in awe as she stuck her hands out and sent out her Titanic energy towards the throne. After a couple of seconds the throne started to rumble before exploding into pieces.
Just as they were about to move onto the next throne,, a bright flash erupted in the middle of the throne room, causing Percy to once again cover his eyes.
"Rhea!" yelled a raspy wicked voice as the light dimmed out.
The man that stood before them had jet black hair, a pair of golden eyes, a tunic equally as golden as his eyes, and in his hand was a six foot long scythe with a crescent shaped blade. The man made Percy shiver. He felt the evil and malicious intent rolling off of him.
"You will pay for this treachery with your life!" he yelled as he charged towards them. In the blink of an eye before Percy even knew what happened he was sent flying crashing into the wall.
As Percy weakly got up he saw Rhea barely holding back the man who Percy now recognized as his grandfather, Kronos. He knew he had to help her, even if it was a little. He unsheathed his swords, switching to an icepick grip with both and jumped into the neared shadow and appearing from the ceiling, diving towards Kronos. He flipped in the air aimed to land on Kronos's back, but right as he was about to stab Kronos with his twin swords, Kronos turned around faster than he could react and hit with the handle of the scythe sending him into the ground with a boom.
Percy screamed in pain as he felt his left leg and arm shatter.
"Percy, no!" screamed Rhea as she tried to rush to the aid of her grandson.
Kronos turned around and froze her in place with a sick smile. "You will watch as this boy dies painfully." he said as he walked towards Percy like he had all the time in the world.
Percy knew his only chance was to free Rhea from her time prison, so he concentrated which caused Kronos to stop in place. He could feel someone trying to break Rhea out of her prison, that someone was the boy laying in front of him.
"I see, most interesting. You have inherited my power over time. I am not sure how this has happened, but no matter, you will die here." he said as he started walking towards Percy again while blocking any attempts of Percy to free his grandmother.
Percy, unable to move could only watch as his grandfather came closer to him with each step. He stared at the pair of golden eye staring at him with a sickening wicked smile.
"Prepare to die grandson." boomed Kronos as he slowly stuck the tip of his blade into his chest, pushing deeper and deeper, enjoying everyone painstaking second.
As the blade sunk into Percy, he felt like his body was going to explode. He felt like his soul was being ripped apart.
'Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry." he prayed in his head to his parents as his world went black.
AN: PLEASE READ ENTIRE THING, THANKS
So… I know it has been 3 years since I last updated this story back into 2017. Honestly, I had started to lose interest in fanfiction, but recently I started to get back into it a little. I do feel bad for all those who read my other story and this story, hoping I would update and it never happening. For those people who see this update and are still reading fanfiction, I am sorry for just leaving without saying anything. However, for those of you who are new, which I feel like will be most people reading this by now, welcome to my story.
Here is a hefty chapter with 5100 words for this story, which is the biggest chapter yet for this story, beating out the previous chapter of a little more than 5k words.
Anyways I thought I'd give this story and update to sort of amend for abandoning my story abruptly. I am kind of using this update to test the waters. If enough people are still interested or become interested, I will continue it. If no one cares for it, then I guess that is it? I still have a lot of the stuff I had planned out in 2017 saved. All I will need to actually do is write it out if enough people are interested. Let me know I should continue by following, favoriting, and/or leaving a review. I am interested in working on this story.
Feel free to check out my other work if you want. I did complete my first story, it is a PJ and Harry Potter crossover if any of you are interested in that. I think for the most part it was a good story and was successful.
Once again, sorry to those who had initially found my story a couple years ago, if you're still here.
