Percy
I woke up early this morning to a loud squeal, causing Hermione and I to fall off the couch with a loud thud. She landed on me, straddling my stomach. We locked gazes and both turned a crimson red.
"OH MY GOSH! I KNEW IT! WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME!"
I looked up to see a very, very excited Ginny bouncing on the balls of her feet. Hermione hurriedly got off me rushing to cover Ginny's mouth.
"Ginny not so loud!"
A muffled voice came from under Hermione's hand. She slowly moved her hand off Ginny's mouth.
"I want to know everything. And I mean everything, like, why were you guys sleeping together?' She kept looking between the two of us.
"Well…" I didn't know what to say to her. I didn't want to tell her my past. I wasn't sure if I could trust her.
"Percy is it ok if I…" Hermione was looking at me, not sure if she could tell.
"Ginny can you stay here for a moment? I need to talk to Hermione in private." I asked politely. The red head just pouted and nodded her head slowly.
I brought Hermione to the other side of the room.
I whispered, "Are you sure we can trust her. I'm relying on you, you know her better than I do. Can she keep a secret?"
"Percy she's my best friend, we can trust her."
I pout a little.
"My girl best friend." Hermoine corrects herself.
I instantly grin.
"Well, we should start explaining everything to her." I sighed.
She nodded her head in agreement and we walked back over to Ginny. I looked at Ginny.
"You might want to sit. This may take a while."
"And that is how I ended up here," I finished concluding the story.
Ginny had her mouth wide open looking at the two of us.
"So you half god…."
I nodded my head to her.
"And you have water and earth powers too?"
"Mhmm."
"And you were sent here to protect Harry?"
"Correct." I looked out the window noticing the sun was starting to come up.
"Now remember Ginny, you can not tell anyone on ANY circumstances. This is very important information that must be kept a secret." Hermoine reminded her.
"Yea, yea, yea Hermione. Anyways, does he have anything to do with the necklace that you were always playing with?"
Hermoine pulled out a necklace and I saw that it was the necklace I gave her all those years ago.
"You kept it all this time?" I asked her in surprise.
"Of course Percy, why wouldn't I? Why, did you not keep the one I gave you?" she asked slightly frowning.
"No, no, of course I did," I hurriedly assured her, pulling out an identical necklace.
That's when they noticed my camp necklace.
"Hey Percy, what is that?" asked Hermione with curiosity.
"Oh, this is just my camp necklace. The beads on it are symbolic, in a way. After each summer, a bead is given out for that summer, to show you were there. On the bead is usually the most memorable thing that happened during the summer." I explained.
"Ok. What about the tattoo?" asked the youngest Weasley.
"Ginny! Don't be rude asking so much. He did just basically tell you his life story!" Hermoine reprimanded her.
"Its fine Mione. The tattoo is basically the Romans' equivalent of the necklace. The SPQR and trident shows that I am a part of the legion and a son of Poseidon, for them, Neptune. The one line shows one year of service, although you can get the lines from completing quest. In theory, I should have two or three, but it doesn't matter really." I answered, laughing slightly at the way she asked questions. It kind of reminded me of Rachel when I first explained her about the gods.
Ginny was about to ask another question, but other people started to come down to the common room.
Harry, followed by Ron and Lavender, spotted us and walked over.
"What are you guys doing up so early?" Harry asked incredulously.
I faced the black hair boy in front of me. "Nothing, just socializing. How was your sleep?"
"I've had better nights, and socializing so early? You could have done that at breakfast."
I merely shrugged my shoulders.
"Well you guys should get dressed so that we can head down to get some breakfast." Lavender spoke up.
I nodded my head in agreement towards Lavender's suggestion.
Harry
I gave Ginny a quick good morning kiss before watching her figure disappear along with Hermione and Percy's to their dormitories.
"I still don't trust him mate. He was only in bed for a couple of hours. He got up and left and never came back to bed. Bloody hell, I'm telling you, he's a Death Eater." Ron stated, glaring at the spot Percy had been sitting in.
"Ron, you're just being paranoid. You barely know the guy, give him a break." I rolled my eyes.
"C'mon Harry, just watch him carefully. And did you also see how close he and Hermione were sitting to each other." Ron scowled.
I shook my head in slight annoyance. "So what Ron? Can't they just sit next to each other?"
"Ron honey, just let it go. Harry will promise to keep an eye on him. Isn't that right Harry?" Lavender pleaded.
I gave her a grateful smile and my head yes to her as we waited in silence for Ginny, Hermione and Percy to come back down.
~~Line Break~~
After breakfast, most of Gryffindor went to the quidditch field to either try out for the team, or just watch.
"So Percy, going to try out for the team?" I asked.
He visibly paled but just quickly regained his color back.
"Uh, I'm not to sure how I feel about that." he replied nervously.
"What's the matter mate? Afraid of heights?" I lightly teased him.
"You don't even know half of it" he said shaking his head.
"C'mon Percy, you should try out," said Ginny, coming up behind us.
"Fine," he grumbled.
"Well then mate, follow me." I grinned.
I showed Percy where all the equipment was and told him to get dressed. I quickly went over the roles and rules of the game.
"So you're the seeker and you need to look for the snitch?" he confirmed.
"Correct, so what do you think you would be best at?" I asked curiously.
"Hmm, I don't know." he shrugged.
"Its fine we'll just see what your best at." I assured him.
We walked out onto the field where everyone else was waiting. It was only Ginny, Ron, and I on the team. We needed to find the best players in Gryffindor to win. We needed two beaters and two more chasers.
I was the best choice for seeker and Ron had been playing keeper pretty well. Ginny was a good chaser too.
"Alright listen up. We'll split you into two teams and play a mock game. Ginny, Ron, and I will referee." I announced.
I put my hand on Percy's shoulder. "Ready mate?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." he grimaced.
The quidditch match was going better than I thought it would. There were some promising players but the one that stood out was Percy. He was a natural! He was fast and agile.
Percy would make a perfect chaser. His offence was brilliant, he was able to steal the quaffle from the other team every time! Whether it be through an interception or right from their hands. Percy's defense was just as superb. I knew we needed him on out team.
After the mock match I congratulated everyone for their efforts. The game had ended 120
to 40, with Percy on the winning team.
I saw Hermione running over to us and tackled Percy into a hug.
"You were amazing Percy."
"Thanks Mione," he said hugging her back.
"Err, good job Percy, I told you, you had it in you," I stated quite awkwardly.
Percy and Hermione quickly untangled themselves from each other arms, their faces a furious shade of red.
Ginny just giggled and I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Nothing," she replied.
"You did good Percy, you should join the team, don't you think so Ron?" asked Lavender.
"Uh-huh."
Lavender just rolled her eyes at him.
We decided to go back to the Gryffindor Tower to change and freshen up.
On the way, I whispered to Ginny, "What's up with Mione and Percy?"
"What do you mean?" she asked confused.
"C'mon, you know what I mean."
"I don't know what you're talking about Harry. Anyway, don't worry about it they are just friends." Ginny waved it off.
I glanced behind us and saw Percy say something, which caused Hermione to laugh. I hadn't seen Hermione so happy in a while.
Turning back to Ginny, I said, "Well whatever it is, I think it's good for Hermione. I mean look at her, I haven't seen her this happy in a while."
Ginny just nodded her head in agreement, though I fell like she wasn't telling me something.
When we re-entered the castle, I saw a familiar scrawny, blonde boy with two big, black haired boys and some others.
Percy
I was just talking to Hermione, when I heard an unfamiliar voice speak.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here. Poor old Weasley over here and his sister. And
a fifthly mud-blood too. How cute."
Hermione growled next to me and I could see Ginny and Ron glaring daggers at him.
"What do you want Draco," snapped Harry, glaring at the boy while holding Ginny close.
"Nothing, just wanted to see the new kid. What a shame you couldn't be in Slytherian. Anyway, you shouldn't hang out with these losers. You could do better than them." The boy smirked arrogantly.
My blood was starting to boil. Who does this kid think he is, talking to them like this?
"And exactly who do you think you are, talking to them like this. These people happen to be my friends, so I would appreciate it if you just walked away." I growled.
"Oh no, I'm so scared. What are you going to do? You see, we out number you two to one, so I'd be playing nice if I were you." the boy mocked.
"You better walk away right now if you know what's good for you. It doesn't matter, I'll fight you guys one on twelve." I snarled in response.
"You'll be sorry for that Jackson," growled Draco.
There was a crowd forming around the eighteen of us.
He took a swung at me, but I caught his hand in my left, before preparing to launch my right fist.
All I heard was, "Percy don't-", before I let my fist swing, hearing a satisfying crunch that let me know that I broke his nose.
Draco fell on his ass, clutching his bloody nose. "Get him you fools, don't just stand there!" he snarled.
With that, they charged me. This was going to be too easy. I knew I could beat them in a fight no problem. I had far more experience than they did.
Slytherin #1 charged, taking a swing at me, but I sidestepped him, causing him to trip and skid across the room. I knew I wouldn't have to deal with him for a bit.
This time Slytherin #2, 3 and 4 came at me at the same time. I ran at them full speed, and did a baseball slide under Slytherin #3, but quickly grabbed his legs, causing him to fall.
I quickly jumped to my feet using no hands to show off a little. I put up my fists, waiting for an attack. I was now in the middle of them, but that didn't bother me. I have been in tougher situations before.
Slytherin #1 and 3 quickly joined the rest of their house surrounding me.
"Impressive Percy, but we have you surrounded, you should give up while you can." Draco smiled smugly.
I grinned at him, causing him to shiver. "Listen Draco, my offer to run away still stands. You can run now and I'll forget all about this."
"Get him!" Draco yelled, furious at being spoken to like that.
Sighing, I knew I would have to do this the hard way.
Slytherin #5 and 6 charged from the front, while Slytherin #1 came from behind me. I quickly somersaulted backwards, jumping off from my hands onto Slytherin #1's shoulders, causing #1,5, and 6 to crash into each other.
They were all tangled up and groaning. Assuming they learned their lesson, I turned to the remaining nine.
I was now behind them, with them between me and my friends.
I wasted no time, and charged at Slytherin #12, punching him in the gut and causing him to double over in pain. Eight more to go.
Slytherin #2,3,4, and 7 flanked me from the right while # 8,9,10, and 11 flanked me from the left. They looked at me warily. Slytherin #8 and 9 came at me while #7 tried to sneak up on me.
Slytherin #7 swung his fist at me, but I dodged it and grabbed his wrist. I twisted his arm and slammed my fist down onto his elbow, effectively breaking his arm and making it bend the other way. He cried out in pain and fell to the floor.
Slytherin #8 and 9 stop their advance towards me.
"Well what are you waiting for?" I asked.
They looked at each other before running towards me as fast as they could - which wasn't very fast, mind you. Slytherin #9 took a wild punch at me from my left, causing me to lean to the right. He tripped from his own momentum, but I had no time to watch him fall onto the floor as I saw another fist coming towards my face.
I leaned as far back as I could making Slytherin #8's fist just miss my face. I saw Slytherin #9 get back up from the corner of my eye. Then Slytherin #2 and 3 decided to join in on the fun, surrounding me, along with #8 and 9.
I charged and Slytherin #8, because he was right in front of me. He was getting ready to block a punch, but I saw this, so I round house kicked him in the head. He dropped cold the second my foot touched him.
I turned around to face Slytherin #2,3 and 9 pulling out their wands out and all yelling, "Confringo!"
I jumped out of the way of the blasting curse, and pulled my wand out mid air, yelling, "Stupefy!" three times, aiming at each one of the goons. I quickly rolled out of my jump, standing back up on feet with practically no effort at all.
I turned to face the remaining Slytherin #4,10, and 11. Before they could even pull out their wands, I pointed mine towards Slytherin #4 and yelled, "Incarcerous!". This wrapped his whole body in rope, except for his head.
Right after firing that, I aimed at Slytherin #10 and screamed, "Petrificus Totalus!", which binded her, making her completely still.
Immediately, I spun to my right and saw Slytherin #11. She had gotten her wand out and was about to cast a spell, but I was quicker. "Expelliamus!"
Her wand flew out of her hand, and I noticed that she looked scared. I looked at her and walked towards her. She cowered in fear. That's when I noticed that she was very young, at least a second year, at most.
"P-p-please don't hurt me! I didn't mean to! I was forced to, otherwise, I would've been beaten!" she begged, tears cascading down her cheeks.
My blood boiled. How could they do this to a little girl.
"What are you doing? Attack him Annie!"
I turned to face the source of the voice, Draco Malfoy. He was going to pay. I told Annie to wait here and she nodded with puffy eyes.
I turned to face Draco. When he saw my face, he visibly paled. He started to run in the opposite direction, pushing people out of the way. I chased him and caught up to him with ease.
I tackled him and pinned him to ground. "How could you do such a cruel thing to a little girl!"
I punched him square in the face. Repeatedly. I tuned everything out until I felt arms restraining me and someone calling my name.
"Percy! Stop!" I fought against the arms tying to restrain me.
"Percy, please stop for me." I heard the voice of my best friend.
She placed a hand on my shoulder and I stopped. I slumped my shoulders and looked at my blood stained hands.
I looked down to see Draco's beaten face. I took my wand and whispered, "Episkey."
I had lost control. Although I didn't like the guy, it gave me no right to beat him up like that. I watched as his face started to go back to normal.
I got up and saw a huge crowd staring at me with their mouths open. "You're all going to catch flies." I remarked.
I started to walk away before I heard a scream. "Percy watch out!"
I turned around to see Draco finish waving his wand, and a Deprimo spell coming towards me. I was swift to act. "Protego."
I then quickly disarmed him with 'expelliarmus'.
"I heal you and this is what you do? I'm really disappointed, I thought you were better than this. But I guess shit like you aren't able to get better than dirt level!" I scoffed.
"You better watch yo-" Draco started.
"What happened here!"
I turned around to face Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, and Madam Pomfrey.
There was a mix of emotion among the teachers.
"I demand to know what happened this instance!" I had never seen Dumbledore yell before; he must be pretty pissed.
I stepped forward. "It was me Professor."
"Percy, now why would you do this?" asked Professor McGonagall.
"I don't know. I am sorry for my actions." I apologized.
Looking at the students from the Slytherin house sprawled all over the floor, Dumbledore announced, "Three months detention Mr. Jackson."
"Sir, I think he deserves a more severe punishment. He has beaten twelve students from my house." Snape snapped sharply and glared at me.
"We will see when we have all the details. Until then, three months Mr. Jackson." Dumbledore spoke calmly.
"But Professor! It wasn't his fault! Draco started it first. It should be him getting the detention," argued Hermione.
"Yeah Professor, we were minding our own business before he came along and stopped us on our way back to the Gryffindor Tower," explained Harry.
"It's okay Mione and Harry, I'll take care of this," flashing them a grin before turning back to Professor Dumbledore.
"Understood sir, when do I start?" I asked politely, resisting the urge to solute.
"Tomorrow night. Now everyone dismissed. Will some students from Slytherin help Madam Pomfrey take these boys back to the medical wing for treatment. Everyone else is dismissed until this is solved and no more classes today." Dumbledore said with finality.
With that, he walked away with the other professors. Everyone else was staring at me in awe and fear.
"You heard the Professor, everyone is dismissed." I reminded them.
Everyone started to clear the area until it was just my friends, but then I noticed Annie in the corner.
I walked towards her and bent down on my knees to get on eye level with her.
"Annie, what are you still doing here?"
"I wanted to thank you Percy, but I'm afraid of what my house is going to do to me." She started to cry and it hurt me to see her like this.
"Annie, if they do anything to you, just come tell me and I'll deal with them. I will make sure they know not to bother you, understood?"
"Yes Percy," she said then launching at me for a hug.
"You're such sweet girl, why were you placed in Slytherin?" I asked softly.
"My family's history…" the girl explained miserably.
"Well, lets make you the beginning of a new era in your family lineage." I grinned.
"Thanks Percy! You're the big brother I never had," she said, smiling at me before running off.
I stared in shock at the retreating form of the little girl.
I stood up and faced my friends. "Come on, let's get going."
They all just nodded their heads and we walked to our house tower.
"Hey Percy, where did you learn to fight like that? That was pretty amazing! I never seen someone take down twelve people in two minutes." Harry exclaimed.
I looked at Harry in shock. "Did you say two minutes?"
"Yea, it was incredible. You beat them with, like, this grace, as if you've fought people before." Harry grinned.
"You have no idea, back in America, I was always fighting for my life." I frowned slightly at the memories.
"Do you mean your school in America?"
"Yea…"
He looked like he wanted to ask more, but just nodded in acceptance.
When I walked into the Gryffindor common room, I was greeted with a cheer.
"Huh?" I was confused.
"Percy man, you showed those Slytherins! Where did you learn that kung fu from?" asked George.
"Yea mate, that was pretty impressive! And how you broke that kid's arm. That was sick!" Fred exclaimed.
"It wasn't kung fu, and its just years of practice. I mean, without your wand, you can't do anything right?" I shrugged, making up the second part.
"Yeah, I guess so," said George.
"Well, I'm going to take a quick shower and then, a nap. Wake me up when it's dinner."
I walked off to the showers leaving the talking voices behind.
AN: Heres another chapter peeps. I hope you guys enjoyed Percy kicking some ass. Let me know what you thought of the fight scene. A little too much or not enough?
Fratcheyla: Don't worry, I'll do my best to not do that.
Guest: That's so evil, however though I was planning on someone catching them. I hope your fine with Ginny though.
OptimusK: Yea that sounds like a cool idea. I'll see if I could put it in a future chapter.
Guest: I hope you enjoyed this fight scene. There will be fights between Percy and Draco, so don't worry.
Leave any suggestions if you have any and I hoped you guys enjoyed it.
*Off Topic* On a side note for any Fast and Furious fans, I got to see Fast and Furious 7 and it was amazing. I got to see it through an advanced screening. I'm not going to spoil anything, but I will say the tribute to Paul Walker was amazing.
Peace
