Operation: Tiger Trap
Sly exits the safe house and proceeds to the temple entrance. All the other Cooper Gang members show up as well, and then split into the respective teams of 4. Sly, Carmelita, The Panda King, and the Guru in one team to take down El Jefe; while Bentley, Murray, Penelope, and Dimitri form the other team.
"Alright, everyone let's get to it, it's almost midnight!" Says Bentley. Everyone nods their heads in agreement and moves out. Up first is Bentley's group to take down Rajan, recalling how years ago the group of 3 got him out of hiding by flooding his place, but since there is no dam nearby, they'll have to use another method. "Penelope, you can use your RC chopper to drop some smoke bombs and we can draw him over to the spring area.
"Affirmative Bentley!" says Penelope.
"Better get ready Murray and Dimitri, he'll be coming soon."
"Ready for another beatdown!" shouts Murray excitedly
"Showtime Baby!" says Dimitri with enthusiasm, and both proceed to the spring area. While that was happening Penelope controls the RC chopper and drops smoke bombs all around the temple causing Rajan to come out and flee. She does this until he exits.
"Black Clouds and Thunderbolts!" Roars Rajan. "How I've underestimated you Cooper Gang, well now it's time to show the might of lord Rajan! Here I am king!" As he finishes another smoke bomb startles him and he lands in the spring where Murray awaits him. "Ah, it's the hippo who bested me years ago, well I think it's time to teach you some respect to a king!"
"Bring it on bad cat!" shouts Murray with pugilistic zeal.
"Defend your lord my minions!" As Rajan says this his Ibex and baboon followers jump in to help battle against Murray. The fight is fierce like last time with Rajan swinging his staff around and launching lightning attacks as well, while the others try to surround and overwhelm Murray, but Murray easily outmatches the followers and can keep up with Rajan. Every now and then Dimitri comes up and shoots one of his tranquilizer darts at Rajan, stunning him temporarily, while Bentley turns on the springs water turrets to deal some more damage.
At half damage Rajan jumps out of the spring onto a ruin, with Murray following suit, thanks to a spring mushroom he can bounce on. Bentley wheels up with his crossbow at the ready as well as a few bombs as well. But Rajan is not intimidated, by the odds, and gives a slasher smile.
"You two may have bested me before but not this time!" he grins maliciously, and swings his staff forward shooting forth a bolt of lightning, stunning both Murray and Bentley, Bentley gets it the worse, knocked out of his chair. Suddenly, smoke bombs rain down on Rajan.
"No one touches that turtle but me!" shouts Penelope as she jumps onto the same ruin holding the same pipe she tried to attack Sly with earlier, ready to duel.
"Hah! The rodent thinks she can fight a tiger, eh? Well don't push it sweetheart!" Rajan is amused by Penelope's challenge, it's the same as when she dueled Captain LeFwee at BloodBath Bay, except this time it's about knocking him whenever his staff is down after dodging a swipe. After another quarter of Rajan's health is whittled away, Rajan falls off onto the grass, with the river nearby.
"How I've underestimated you all but I'm still King of these hills!" He roars with anger. Murray, having recovered from the shock comes up to finish the job.
"The Murray will finish you!" he bellows, flexing as well.
The last part of this battle is in full swing, just Murray against Rajan, no water spouts, no minions, just the hippo against the tiger one on one, just on top of some big ruin and should anyone fall off they get back on. All Murray has to do in dodge Rajan's staff swings and lightning strikes while pummeling with his fists though the Inferno Flop can be used as well. After some pounding Rajan falls.
"The Murray triumphant!" Roars Murray happily, flexing his muscles.
"Nice moves Murray!" shouts Bentley
"Well done Murray!" adds Penelope.
"You've got the juice bro!" adds Dimitri.
While all this was happening, Sly, Carmelita, and the Guru go on top the temple to confront El Jefe, by means of hitching a ride on one of Panda King's big fireworks, luckily all three depart before it explodes just in 5 seconds. As soon as the trio arrive on top of the temple complete with mountainside, they find El Jefe dragging the Prince by the arm while he tries to resisit.
"Let me go you low-life scum! Let me go! My parents won't let you get away with this!" he complains.
"Quit resisting me you little brat! You're gonna watch your kingdom crumble before my might!" He scolds the Prince.
"Put him down El Jefe!" shouts Sly, getting into fighting position, with Carmelita pointing her shock pistol at him.
"I suggest you surrender now, before I give you taste of my good friend the shock pistol!" seethes Carmelita.
"Ah the Cooper Gang, just ready to see my beautiful contraption in action!" El Jefe roars proudly.
"Looks more like a kids toy, El Jefe, still Spanish for "Big Baby"" Sly says sarcastically, which causes Carmelita to give a slight chuckle of amusement. El Jefe growls at the familiar insult from years ago.
"Let me go!" shrieks the Prince, successfully getting loose from El Jefe's grasp.
"Hold it Prince!" growls El Jefe, swinging his katanas unleashing a fireball which barely misses the Prince, but an explosion knocks the Prince over to a small ledge to the side as he screams in pain.
The three watch in horror at what happens, and then Sly and Carmelita turn with angry glares at El Jefe.
"Guru, look after the Prince, we'll take care of this monster!" The Guru nods in agreement, and the two take off chasing El Jefe around the ruins. El Jefe, the usual arrogant diry coward that he is flings some fireballs at the duo as he jumps around other pieces of ruin, before reaching the energy cannon, and begins charging it up.
"I've already got this canon pointed at a nearby village, and soon India will be mine and Rajan's! You'll never stop it!" And then flees again upwards. The two ponder the controls for the cannon. Sly reaches up to his ear.
"Bentley, you better get up here and stop this thing! We don't have much time, there's only 5 minutes until it destroys a village!"
"We're on our way Sly! Penelope get me up there!"
"Affirmative Bentley!" replies Penelope.
"You two go after El Jefe! We'll take care of the cannon!"
While Sly and Carmelita chase Sly, Penelope deploys her RC chopper to hoist Bentley up to the top where the cannon is, and he immediately starts to hack into the cannon's terminal.
Sly and Carmelita pursue El Jefe up different routes, Carmelita gets some high platforms to jump on, while Sly gets some vines, stones and spires to jump, shimmy, and climb on. The duo soon come across two elite rhino guards wearing the same armor like in the cave earlier. Sly pulls out the Nandaka and slashes the armor off with the inflamed sword (which takes three hits per guard) while dodging their attacks, once the armor comes off both of them, control switches to Carmelita who zaps them both until they fall over. With the two out of the way they purse El Jefe to the top of a mountain with a flat top and surround him.
"How dare you attack a member of good royalty El Jefe! That's a brand new low for a criminal! You're under arrest!" Seethes Sly with fury to match Carmelita's.
"There's a maximum secuirity cell with your name on it bad cat!" Seethes Carmelita with equal rage.
"Bah! I've grown more resentful of you bunch after putting me in that cell of rolling cigars I can't smoke, it's time to pay, India is mine!" Roars El Jefe. With that, the two engage the tiger, control is in Sly's command. El Jefe follows this attack pattern: with one katana points some lightning up and then slams down and twirls around for a while making Sly and Carmelita jump before they can attack. The next phase is where El Jefe has both katanas out, carves the ground and launches a fireball. El Jefe is vulnerable in this point, Carmelita fires an shock bolt at the fireball causing a bit of an explosion which knocks El Jefe down for a bit on one knee. She fires again, but the shock bolt has no literal effect on El Jefe, which he laughs at the failed effort, obviously he's wearing the special armour underneath. Sly comes forward, El Jefe tries to attack with both katanas and the weapons meet. At this point its a Quick-Time event where the player has to quickly press the Square button for parrying strength. Once enough strength is built up, Sly is able to push El Jefe's cane's out of the way, unleash the flaming Nandaka and attack up to six times as opposed to three. Afterwards, some secret clay like armour falls out of El Jefe's uniform.
"Ah, my armor! Roars El Jefe in panic. He then turns and flees again across mountain peaks. The guru from afar summons some pointed objects and platforms for Sly and Carmelita to jump onto and it;s onto another platform for the fight. The pattern is the same except for the first part where El Jefe uses both katanas to do a double lightning twirl. When a fireball is unleashed Sly can now deflect it back with the Nandaka, stunning El Jefe, allowing Sly to attack with his can for six times, till it's down to a quarter. El Jefe roars and with one katana unleashes some lightning which shaves off two mountain tops which head for Sly and Carmelita. Carmelita is able to shoot out one of the tops, but just when things look bleak for the two, on of the Panda King's fireworks comes by and destroys it.
Now the pattern is El Jefe is between the two shaves mountains launching fireballs at the two , control switches to Carmelita as she shoots El Jefe while she and Sly dodge the fireballs. Once El Jefe has just a sliver of health he lunges forward with one katana up with some lightning and tries to attack the two. Sly is able to block the attack with the Nandaka, and here it's a quick time duel between the two until Sly blocks the attack, parries and then delivers to flaming sword swipes to El Jefe. The tiger is defeated.
"Bentley is the cannon disabled?" Sly asks.
"Affirmative, and just to be sure, Agent Monarch destroy this weapon with some fireworks!" Bentley replies
"The fuse is lit!" shouts the Panda King, and in no time 5 fireworks come up and the cannon is in pieces.
"That was some honorable work Cooper and Inspector Fox!" he adds.
"Rajan is out too!" shouts Murray.
"Well done everyone!" Sly says.
