Episode 3 Part 3
The bandits cried out, reacting with shock, the leader looked around wildly as his right hand man fell to the ground, dead, a single shot to his head, the source of it being the gunshot they had all just heard.
"What the-" The leader growled.
Christo quickly drew his gun, taking aim. "You didn't think I'd stand up to you when I knew you had the advantage, did you? I was ready for you this time, and not just me."
It was then the others emerged from their hiding places, weapons at the ready and then fear really set into the bandits.
"Shit, he's got friends!" One yelled.
Anything else that might have been said was drowned out in a hail of gunfire. As arranged, some of the shots were meant only to scare, only some aimed to kill. Two more of the bandits went down in the first volley of shots, another cried out, wounded.
"You-!" The leader yelled.
He tried to attack Christo but Christo fired. Due to the leader's attempted tackle however, the shot went slightly wide, still the leader screaming having at least been hurt. He then whistled sharply, just as Christo rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding a shot that hit where he had been lying. When he straightened up again he realized their suspicions were correct, there were more than ten bandits after all.
The rest of the bandit group closed in from outwith the clearing, firing at the group as they were forced inwards. The remaining bandits inside rallied and began to take aim, firing at the group, but they were thankfully poor shots and missed their targets. Taking this chance, Roman opened fire again and killed all but the leader and one other bandit within the clearing. Seeing another chance, Christo reacted and quickly stopped the leader from reaching his weapon, standing on his outstretched hand.
"Fuck, bastard!" He cried. "Give it up, you're dead."
Christo shook his head. "No, your men are."
It was then more shouts could be heard. Arica had dealt with the last bandit within the clearing, just as the traps began to activate, killing the ones that were attacking from the outside, closing in on the group, firing blindly still. Christo grimaced upon seeing one trap in action, the large log pinning, and crushing, it's victim to the nearby tree. A few more traps like that, some makeshift claw traps and even a snare trap soon had the attacking bandits brought to a halt, leaving only a handful alive.
"Now then, should we-"
Before Christo could finish the leader reacted, pushing up and knocking Christo back. He then leapt to his feet and began to run, trying to escape despite his wound. His surviving men cried out and tried to reach their weapons; but acting quickly the group put a stop to them before they could open fire, then the leader yelped and feel, searing pain in his leg as the last makeshift claw trap snapped shut on it.
Making sure there were no others lying in wait and that their attackers were all dead, they cautiously approached the fallen leader, weapons at the ready.
"You...urgh, fuck..." He growled.
Niko shook his head. "It's over, you're not gonna hurt anyone again."
"You're days of tormenting me and my daughter are over." Christo replied. "You won't go anywhere near her or another little girl again, you're going to die here."
"Fools." He spat out at last.
"What?"
He smirked. "You act as if I'm really the worst thing possible. There's far worse than me and my boys out there...Oh you're right in their territory."
Niko narrowed his eyes, worried. "Who, who are you talking about?"
"The most dangerous group around these parts, large, powerful, they take what they want, when they want, do what they want and there is no resisting them, no stopping them..." The leader grinned. "I just wish me and the boys lived long enough to see them find you all, and crush you."
"Who are you talking about, what is this...group!?" Niko demanded.
"They're...your doom, not even the Walkers, compare to them. He'll see you all suffer." The leader laughed. "Yes, he will...Pytor..."
Decided enough was enough, Roman then fired his gun, finishing the leader off and ending the fight at last.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
