Hermione
There were voices talking, but I couldn't tell what they were saying. My eyelids felt so heavy. I cracked open my eyelids and light flooded in. I shut them immediately, not use to the brightness of the room. I opened my eyes back slowly, adjusting to the light in the room. I was met with an unfamiliar white ceiling. Where was I? I couldn't remember anything? My thoughts were cut short as someone open and closed a door. The footsteps got louder and then someone opened a window. A breeze came through and there was a smell, a smell of the sea.
The sea! Percy! Where is everyone. I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain coming from my stomach shut that plan down immediately as I laid back down and let out a gasp of pain at the same time.
"Mione! You're awake, thank the gods! I was so worried for you. I didn't know what I'd do if I lost you." came a very familiar voice of a sea green eyed boy. I turned to face the son of Poseidon.
"Hermione? Are you ok? Do you need anything?" said Percy while taking a seat next to Hermione on the bed.
I tried to sit up again, ignoring the pain.
"Hey you really shouldn't be doing th-" I grabbed Percy and kissed him. Then I slapped him as hard as I could manage in my weak state.
"Are you still angry with me?" he asked rubbing his cheek.
"Angry? I'm furious Percy. I have this feeling that I should still trust you, but I don't know if I can do this anymore. I'm torn between my feelings for you and my friends and family. Please Percy, just help me understand. Why? Why did you betray us?" I asked as my vision started to blur from tears.
"Ok. I'll tell you everything. I don't care anymore, I can't bare to see you like this anymore. I wanted to tell you so bad, but I couldn't. Now that my cover is blown, I don't think it matters anymore." Percy went to explain everything for the next hour. He didn't leave any detail out of the plan. How his quest more than just to come protect Harry which I had nearly forgotten about. I realized how ingenious of a plan it was. I'm still hurt over Dumbledore's death, but I was surprised in Snape's involvement. That he did this all for his love of Lily Potter.
"You have to promise you that you won't tell anyone about Snape. He is still trusted by the Dark Lord and I want to keep it that way." he said.
I grabbed him and kissed him again. This time it was more passionate. We both smiled into the kiss and only stopped because we needed air.
"Don't you dare ever doing something like that again." I said pointing my finger at him.
"I won't."
"Now tell me what happened and where are we? The last thing I remember is apparating away and everything went black." I asked.
"When we we were about to apparate away she threw a knife and it hit you in the stomach. Which by the way, I still don't think you should be sitting up."
"I'm fine Percy. The pain isn't too bad. Anyways, where are we, you didn't answer that part."
"We are at Bill and Fleur's cottage. They let us lay low here for a while."
"How long was I out for?"
"A couple of days."
"A couple of days? How could a stab wound keep me out for that long?"
"Well the knife she threw was coated in poison. It almost killed you, it was a very fast acting poison. They were trying all types of magic to help but it just saved you. I guess you needed time to recover." explained the boy.
"Guess I'm lucky, huh. Did I miss anything else?" I asked
"Well Harry and Ron sort of made peace with me after I explained to them that Dumbledore wanted me to get closer to Snape, that he knew Snape would kill him and instead of preventing it he wanted me to be trusted by the Death also got another horcrux. Helga Hufflepuff's cup. We snuck into Bellatrix's vault while you were out. I didn't want to leave you, but Harry, Ron, and I wanted to act fast. That damn Griphook betrayed us and took the sword and left us to die. Luckily Dobby was able to save us." answered Percy.
"That's good. We need them to trust you again even though you still lied to them. And at least you guys got out of there alive. That's what really matters." I said.
"Oh! I almost forgot, Harry had some sort of vision. Voldemort was angry and killed Griphook and some others that told him about us taking the cup. He also revealed that there's one in Hogwarts, so we were planning on waiting for you to be ready."
"Do you have any idea what it is?"
"Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem."
"Do you guys have any leads on where it might be?"
"Nope."
"We should head out."
"No you need your rest. I'll go tell everyone you're up. We can leave in a couple of days."
Time Skip
"Everyone ready?" I asked. I got three nods.
"Thank you for everything Bill and Fleur." I said smiling to the couple.
"It's the least we could do. Just be safe out there. We'll be there when you need us." said Bill.
With a nod, we apparated away. We appeared in a clearing outside of Hogsmeade.
"How are we supposed to get to Hogwarts? I'm sure they have all kinds of wards and such." said Ron.
"Aberforth." said Percy.
"Aberforth….Aberforth Dumbledore?" I asked in realization.
"Yes, he owns Hogs Head Inn. He can help us sneak in." stated Percy.
With that, the four of us were on our way to Hogs Head. While we were walking, I couldn't help but feel like we were being watched. Hogsmeade was also unusually quiet which kind of unnerved me. When we got to to Hogs Head, no one was inside except for a lone figure by the fireplace.
"Welcome Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Perseus Jackson." greeted a man as he turned around. He looked almost exactly the same as the Dumbledore we knew. This must be Aberforth.
"Aberforth, it is good seeing you again." said Percy extending his hand out.
"Likewise." he said meeting Percy halfway for the handshake.
"Come children, I have food if you need to eat." he said to us.
"We need to get into Hogwarts tonight. We have a mission." said Harry.
"Yes, I know of your mission." said Dumbledore.
"Will you help us?" asked Ron.
Dumbledore nodded. He looked at a painting of a girl, "You know what to do." The girl in the painting nodded and started to walk away.
"You'll get there soon enough." he said before walking out of the room.
"I'm going to go ask him something. I'll be right back." said Percy to the three of us. Ron grabbed a plate and started to eat some food that was on the table. I rolled my eyes, how could he sit and eat at a time like this? I'll never understand the boy.
"Do you think we can trust him?" whispered Harry.
"I think we can. Percy seems to know him and hasn't given us any reason to not trust Aberforth." I reasoned.
"True. I'm still skeptical about Percy though, I know he had reasons for doing what he did. It's going to take time for me to fully trust him again." he said.
I nodded my head in understanding. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the girl coming back in the painting.
"She's coming back." I announced walking over to the painting. Harry and Ron walked over to me.
"Someone's with her." said Ron a little nervously while reaching for his wand. I noticed myself and Harry doing the same as well.
Just then, the painting swung open and stepped out an all too familiar face that I hadn't seen in ages.
"Neville, you look lik-"
"Like hell I reckon, but this is nothing. It's worse back at the castle. It's so good to see you guys." said a tired looking Neville.
Just then Aberforth and Percy walked in. Neville's face turned to anger in a split second as he reached for his wand.
"Wait, Neville don't!" I yelled stepping in front of Percy who was oblivious to the entire situation.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't attack that bloody traitor right now! How could you guys be with him after all he's done!" yelled Percy.
Then a wand landed in between me and Neville. Percy stepped pass me with his hands up and said, "If you want to attack me then do it. I know you're angry at me and you deserve to be-"
"Percy-" I started.
"Don't worry Mione. Now, Neville, I swear I will let you attack me if you want to." he said calmly.
Neville just stared at the boy. I couldn't tell what he was thinking.
"Listen Neville, I know you're a good kid, and we were friends. Just let me explain everything. I swear if you still hate me after then I won't hold it against you." he said.
After about a minute, Neville finally said, "Fine. I want to hear everything. And don't you dare lie to me Jackson."
For the next forty minutes, Percy told everything Neville everything he had told Harry and Ron. Neville sat quietly, absorbing the information that had just been given to him.
"So, all this time you were on our side. Dumbledore knew that him dying would still help us. He had a feeling that Snape would kill him and instead of preventing that, he wanted you to go undercover as a Death Eater." said Neville.
"Yes." replied Percy even though that wasn't the complete truth.
"I-I forgive you Percy." said Neville walking up to Percy with his arms spread.
"Thank you Neville." said Percy, embracing the boy.
"Now that, that is settled, we should be heading to Hogwarts." said Harry.
"Everyone will be glad to see you guys, well except Percy, but don't worry, I'll help you make them understand your reasons.
"Thank you Neville." said Percy appreciatively, knowing it would be hard to convince that many people.
As we walked down the dark tunnel, the only light coming from our wands, Neville told us about how Hogwarts has changed since Snape becoming headmaster and all the Death Eaters around Hogwarts now. It sounded horrible, I was glad to have left when I had the chance, but also bad for what they endured.
"This is it. So how should we go about this?" asked Neville looking at us. I turned to Percy expectantly and he just shrugged in return. I let out a sigh and shook my head.
"I'll stay hidden for now. I'll wait for the best moment to reveal myself." asked Percy.
"Are you sure?" asked Harry.
"Don't worry. Just go I'll be fine." said Percy.
"Be careful Percy." I said grabbing him and giving him a quick kiss.
"You know me, always staying away from danger." said Percy before he turned and made a path the other away using his power.
Neville walked up to the end and pushed it open. Light flooded into the tunnel and Neville stepped out first.
"I have a surprise for everyone." he said.
"Oh don't tell me more of Aberforth's cooking." groaned a voice that sounded like Seamus.
"Better." said Neville, stepping to the side to reveal Harry standing behind him. I heard a round of gasps and excited yelps along with people starting to walk towards us.
"Harry!" clapped everyone. When Ron and I stepped out as well there were more rounds of cheers.
"Go tell Remus and the others that Harry is here." Neville said to Seamus.
"So what's the plan Harry?" asked Neville.
"We need to look for Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem. It can help us destroy you know who."
"Great, where is it?" asked Neville.
"I don't know." replied Harry.
"Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem has been lost for centuries now. No one alive has seen it." said Cho.
"Well we have to look for it, it very important that we find it." said Harry.
Just then an all too familiar red head girl came running in.
"Harry." she breathed with a worrisome look on her face. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ron smile and wave to his sister. He failed to get any reaction out of her as she was too busy staring at Harry.
"You think after not seeing her brother for this long and what has been going on, you'd get some sort or response." whispered Ron.
"Well, you're not Harry Potter of course." joked Seamus.
"What's wrong Ginny?" I asked.
"Snape. He knows Harry was at Hogsmeade. He's called a meeting for all four houses." she stated. There were murmurs going around now.
"Everyone stay calm." ordered Neville.
"I'll go undercover with the Gryffindor house. The rest of you will meet up with the rest of your houses as well. As for the ones in the Order, be ready." instructed. Harry.

Harry
I was standing in the middle of the lined up Gryffindor students in the main hall. Every student was with their house standing in rows. I kept my head down, but I could see Snape walking towards the front of the hall. My blood boiled.
"Many of you must be wondering why I have summoned you. It has come to my attention, that earlier this evening, Harry Potter was spotted at Hogsmeade." said Snape. All the students started to whisper, but were silenced as Snape started to speak again.
"Now, should anyone, student or staff attempt to aid Harry Potter, they will be punished. Anyone with knowledge and fails to come forward will be treated as equally as guilty." he continued.
Snape started to walk down the middle, "Now if anyone has any knowledge of Potter's movements this evening, I suggest you come forward." said Snape looking around.
Deciding this was the best time. I stepped out. There were a lot of gasps that went around the room.
"It seems, that despite you extensive security measures, headmaster, you still have a bit of a security problem." I mocked as the Order stepped through the double doors in the back and everyone gasped.
"How dare you stand where he stood. Tell them how it happened that night, how you looked him in the eye, and killed a man that trusted you!" I yelled angrily.
Then Snape pulled out his wand and everyone backed away to the sides. Before I could pull out my wand, someone apparated in front of me with their wand out pointed at Snape. It was a green eyed son of Poseidon. There were more gasps. But no one said anything. They stared at each other, neither making a move nor saying a word. Then Percy started to fire incendio charms at Snape who deflected them. Percy started advancing on Snape, making him walk back. Snape continued to block Percy's attack, never firing one of his own. As Snape deflected the the incendios Percy sent, they hit the two Death Eaters standing behind him knocking them out. As Snape got closer to to the window, he started to become smokey and the flew away out of the window. Cheers erupted now that Snape was gone, but as soon as Percy turned around, it stopped instantly. They must've not known it was him. I gave Percy a nod of thanks to which gave me a small smile in return.
Percy threw his wand at my feet and put his hands up, "Listen, I kno-" Right then three blue lights flew past me and hit Percy, two to his stomach and one on the higher part of his chest, closer to his neck, sending him backwards.
"Percy!" screamed Hermione rushing over to Percy and checking if he was ok. I turned around to see who had sent the expulsos, but I couldn't identify who did it.
"Why is that traitor here? And why are you helping him?" asked a Ravenclaw student I didn't know.
"Percy is to be trusted. He has helped me and saved my life numerous times. We will explain everything if you just give us a chance." I said as Hermione helped Percy stand back up.
"Go ahead Mr. Potter." said Professor McGonagall glancing at Percy.
Percy explained to everyone what he had told us, about Dumbledore wanting him to go undercover as a Death Eater and that he knew Snape was going to kill him. I surveyed the room and saw that many people were sad, as Percy talked about Dumbledore. Most people seemed to accept it, but there were still skeptics.
"How do we know you're not lying!" shouted another Ravenclaw student.
"Professor McGonagall, shall we do an unbreakable vow to see what I just said was true?" asked Percy.
"Don't do it, he just wants to get close to you and kill you! He still works for you know who!" shouted a Gryffindor.
"I'll do it." said Professor McGonagall walking over to where Percy was leaning on Hermione.
"Professor!"
"Do not worry. I trust what Percy says is the truth." said Professor McGonagall.
"I'll be the bonder." said Remus who had been quiet the entire time walked over with his wand.
Everyone watched as Percy and Professor Mcgonagall clasped each other's right arm. Remus put the tip of his wand.
"Will you answer truthfully to the questions I will ask you?" asked Professor McGonagall.
"I will." answered Percy. A gold line wrapped around their arms.
"Will you remain loyal to our side and help us defeat Voldemort?" everyone gasped as Professor McGonagall said Voldemort's name out loud.
"I will." Another gold line appeared.
"Will you...properly take Hermione Granger, protect her, care for, and most importantly never stop loving her?" asked Professor McGonagall with a smile.
"I will." said Percy with a slight blush as a third golden line appeared.
"P-professor! Why would you ask that! That's the least of our worries right now and something we shouldn't be worrying about!" yelled a very red Hermione.
"That is all." The lines shone brighter before fading away completely. "Now as for the third question Ms. Granger, I had to make sure that once we get through all this and defeat the Dark Lord, that you are in good hands. I would want to know that someone I see as my daughter is treated properly." explained McGonagall.
She turned her attention back to the son of Poseidon, "Is what you told us about the late Headmaster Dumbledore telling you to become an undercover Death Eater true?"
"Yes." he said. Everyone waited in silence to see if anything would happen to him. After two minutes nothing happened.
"Young Perseus here tells the truth." said Remus.
"We shou-"
A loud rumbling was heard and then a voice spoke in my head, "I know that many of you want to fight, some of you may even think that to fight is wise, but this is folly. Give me Harry Potter and Perseus Jackson. Do this and none shall be harmed. Give me both of them and Hogwarts shall remain untouched. Give me Harry Potter and Perseus Jackson and you will be rewarded. You have one hour." I looked around and could tell everyone had heard Voldemort's demand.
"Someone grab them!" shouted a feminine voice from behind me.
I turned around to see who it was, my eyes landed on Pansy. She was in front of the crowd with her finger pointed at me. But before I could do anything, Ginny stepped in front of me protectively. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Hermione tried to do the same thing for Percy, but couldn't really because she needed to support him. Then all of my friends joined Ginny, by her side. Remus did the same thing for Percy as the was the only one near him.
"Students out of bed! Students out of bed! Students in the corridor!" yelled Mr. Filch as he came running in.
"They are suppose to be you blithering idiot." said Professor McGonagall.
"Oh, sorry ma'am." apologized Mr. Filch.
"However, your arrival is most opportune. I would like you to please lead Ms. Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house from the hall to the dungeon." said Professor McGonagall.
"Yes ma'am." said Mr. Filch as he beckoned Slytherin house to follow him. Everyone cheered as the Slytherin House left.
"I assume you have a reason for returning Harry, what is it you need?" asked Professor McGonagall as she walked towards me.
"Time professor, I need time. As much as you can get me." I replied.
"Do what you have to do Mr. Potter. I'll secure the castle." said Professor McGonagall
"Thank you." I said before turning around and walking towards the doors. Ron, Hermione and Percy followed me out.
"Harry, I was thinking that it doesn't matter if you find the horcrux or not unless you can destroy it. You destroyed Tom Riddle's diary with a basilisk fang, right? I think I know where we can get one." said Ron.
"Alright good. I'm going to go the Ravenclaw common room to start looking." I said before turning around and running up the stairs.
As I run up the stairs I hear the familiar voice of Luna calling after me.
Percy
We watched as Harry ran off up the stairs to the Ravenclaw common room.
"Hermione, go with Ron to get the basilisk fang." I said.
"What about you, what are you going to do?" asked Hermione.
"I'm going to go to the Gryffindor common room. I need to get something and then I'll go help Minerva get the defenses ready. I have a lot of experience with these kind of things." I said.
"You're in no shape to be walking around by yourself mate." said Ron.
"Don't worry about me. Trust me." I said.
"Percy are you sure?" asked a skeptical Hermione.
"I'll help him. It's the least I could do. You two will have a better chance getting the basilisk fang than I would if I went with Ron." said Ginny walking up to us.
"Thank you, Ginny." said Hermione before the two ran down the stairs, going in the opposite direction of Harry.
"Alright my favorite son of Poseidon, where to because I didn't hear where you were going?" asked the youngest Weasley.
"I'm the only son of Poseidon you know, my favorite daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley." I said walking towards the Gryffindor common room.
"Touche. Here let me help you." said Ginny as she supported me while we walked.
"The Gryffindor common room. I need to get some extra nectar that I stored in my room before I left." I said.
We walked in silence for about halfway there until Ginny spoke up.
"I'm glad Hermione has someone like you there for her. When you first left, I hated you and wanted nothing but to strangle you. Hermione was so heart broken."
"You don't know how much it pained me to do so. I wanted to tell her so badly, but I promised Dumbledore. And we wanted to make sure it worked so I couldn't tell anyone. I know Hermione would never tell anyone, but there's always someone listening. You are never truly alone, if from anything I've experienced has taught me." I explained.
"You better not hurt her heart again. Or I will bring you back to life just to kill you myself." she said referring to the oath I made to Minerva.
"Don't worry, I don't plan on it."
"Good, and by the way, you're a lot heavier than I thought you'd be." said Ginny as we neared the common room.
"Calling me fat, Weasley?" I asked.
"And if I am?" she asked jokingly.
"When this is all over, you better watch yourself. You're boyfriend won't be able to protect you." I joked.
"I'm so scared." she said sarcastically with a slight blush on her face.
As our conversation died down, we reached the painting of the fat lady. Ginny said the password and it swung open. We walked inside the common room and towards the boys' dormitories.
"Percy, I don't know if I can..you know…" trailed off Ginny.
"Don't know if you can what?" I asked confused.
"I know the rules don't really matter now, but girls aren't allowed in the boys dormitories and vice versa." she explained.
"Gods Ginny, are you really worrying about that right now?" I asked incredulously.
"Fine! Fine! Whatever." said Ginny as we walked into the boys dormitories.
I guided us to the room Harry, Ron, Neville and I shared. I opened the door and we walked inside.
"Wait here." I said.
I walked over to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I took off my torn shirt and threw it on the floor. I examined my wounds in the mirror. They weren't too serious, but I would have some bruising. Thank gods for being a demigod and that the caster of those spells hadn't mastered the spell yet. I stepped into the shower and I felt rejuvenated as the cold water flowed over me, closing the cuts and scrapes that littered my torso. I stepped out of the shower, completely dry and walked out of the bathroom to see Ginny lying down on my bed.
"I'm sure Harry wouldn't be too pleased to hear that his girlfriend was lying on my bed with me shirtless in the room." I teased.
"Shut up Jackson or I'll hex you." said a red Ginny getting off the bed as soon as I finished speaking. "And besides, how was I supposed to know whose bed was who." explained Ginny.
"I was joking." I said laughing at the red faced, red head.
"Guess I'm going to have to borrow one of Neville's shirt." I said walking over to his chest where his clothes were. I pulled out a plain t shirt and put it on. It was a bit snug, but it would have to do. Thanks the gods the boy had grown otherwise I wouldn't be able to fit at all.
"Where's the nectar?" asked Ginny.
"Under the bed, in a silver flask." I replied as she bent down and reached her hand under. She pulled her hand back out and was holding the bottle. Ginny tossed to and I took a small sip. I'd save the rest for later, just in case. I stuffed the flask into my pocket and told Ginny that I was ready to go.
It was time to end the third war and hopefully the last one I'll be in.
AN: As you can tell by this chapter, I am not going to cancel my story. After really thinking it about it and my friend who really wanted me to finish the story convinced me I should. So you can all thank her because she was the primary reason for me deciding to stick with this till the end. To be honest, I was a little bummed that out of almost 600 follows, only about 20 people left a review saying that I should continue.
Anyways hope you enjoyed the chapter.
