Episode 7 Part 2
The moment Misha dropped into the room he heard the muffled cries and turned around quickly, eyes wide. Katia and Grozdan were there, tied to chairs facing each other in the middle of the room, clad only in their underwear, several strips of duct tape covering their mouths.
"MMM MMMMMMMMMMMM!" They both cried in surprise at the sight of Misha.
He swallowed nervously, approaching them. "It's, it's okay, we're getting outta here. I'm here to help."
As he said that he saw the hope spring in their eyes, after being sexually abused and humiliated so much over the past two days, they thought their lives as they knew them were over, but now they had a chance. He quickly got to work, pulling carefully at Katia's ropes until he got her mostly free. Once her hands were free she was able to help him and then she pulled the tape off her mouth.
"Misha, thank you. C'mon, help me." She said at once.
Misha nodded and together they untied a relieved Grozdan who managed a small smile.
"You did good Misha, thanks." He said. "But how are we-?"
Misha nodded over at the control panel. "I need to use that, then we get outta here and meet up with the others."
With that he hurried over while Grozdan and Katia grabbed their clothes from the desk, working on getting dressed as quickly as they could.
As they dressed, Misha looked over the console, relieved to see Britta was right, it was clearly labelled. He quickly checked and saw one of Pytor's music albums was already in the slot. He quickly fiddled with the controls until suddenly the music began blaring out over the external speakers, impossible for the herd to miss. At once they could hear the shouts outside the office, the panic.
"Misha what have you done?" Katia gasped. "There's a herd out there, that'll-"
Misha quickly explained. "I know, that's how we're getting out of here. The herd will be our cover."
Katia swallowed nervously but nodded, opting to go along with it. Turning to Grozdan she pulled him close.
"You gonna be alright, we need to escape."
He nodded. "I can, I can handle it."
With that, knowing they could only escape through the door due to Grozdan's hand, they moved towards it. But then they heard the sound of one of the guards approaching. Katia pulled the kids behind her and grabbed a nearby weapon, a plank of wood. As soon as the guard entered she struck out, hitting him in the head and knocking him out.
"C'mon." She whispered.
"Wait." Misha cried out.
But Katia and Grozdan didn't hear him, they just ran out. He never had any time to explain that he was suddenly getting a bad feeling. He could hear the gunfire and shouts as the fight with the herd clearly was already starting, screams and panicked yells told him that the Walkers may already be breaching the perimeter through sheer force of numbers. Then he heard a few more shouts, close by and then a loud gunshot and cries of sorrow, terror and a few of anger.
He knew that following Katia and Grozdan would be foolish, so, taking a risk, he slipped out of the door of the office and instead began to clamber along the outer edge of a large catwalk along the side of the wall. His heart dropped when he found out the source of what he had heard.
'No...' He thought in dismay.
His group had been caught in their escape attempt by Pytor, who was holding them all at gunpoint, Katia and Grozdan had walked right into it and also been taken prisoner. Their arrival had momentarily distracted Pytor as he brought them under control too; but it led to a rash attempt to try and take him down, resulting in Anton being shot dead. Dismay filled Misha, Anton had been so nice to all of them, to Misha especially. He had been like a grandfather to the boy and now he was dead.
"Stupid man." Pytor growled. "Well, good riddance, it's not like an old fool like him was of any use. Now...the rest of you are clearly making a big mistake, I don't see how you thought that would work, you are all-"
But before he could finish, Misha made his move. He leapt from the balcony, landing on Pytor and knocking him down, making him drop his gun.
"Misha!" Mara cried in horror.
The others reacted quickly however, pulling Misha away from Pytor, while Roman got his hands on Pytor's gun, they now had Pytor trapped.
Glowering at them Pytor snarled.
"You idiots, you could've had something here, if you just bothered to put the efforts in and actually work." He snapped. "Now you're all going to die, you brought a fucking herd here, you crazy fools."
Roman scoffed. "Funny, the way I see it, you and your kind are the ones who are going to die. Either from us, or the Walkers."
"They'll get you too, idiot." Pytor snapped.
Britta shook her head. "No, they won't, we've already got an escape plan."
Pytor laughed. "Escape, there is no-"
He was cut off when suddenly, snapping, Grozdan suddenly launched himself at Pytor, having grabbed a weapon, a wrench, and began attacking him.
"Fucking asshole, you, what you did to me, to...to mom, to all of us, Anton, you killed him!" He yelled, barely able to gasp out the words in his rage.
"Grozdan!" Katia cried in horror.
Roman quickly pulled Grozdan away. "That's enough kid."
"He, he-"
Niko stepped up. "I know, but I'm not having you ruining your soul by killing someone."
With that he turned to Pytor, who glared up at them, and spat.
"You idiots won't-"
He was cut off when Niko pulled the trigger, killing Pytor, shooting him between the eyes, ending his terror once and for all.
End of chapter, so, the group have killed Pytor and are ready to escape, but sadly Anton is dead. Read and review please.
