AN: Please read the entire thing, thanks.
Hello all, I know I finished this story back in 2017, which is three years ago and many people were confused and had questions about the ending. I'm sorry I never addressed them sooner, but honestly at the time when I finished that story I was losing interest in fanfiction, so I wanted to at least finish my story. Yes, I know it was probably rushed, but too late now I guess. I've recently started to get back into fanfiction so I thought I would just write a short AN to answer some popular questions.
So, first of all, yes Percy is alive at the end. I thought by making the bright golden light and flash forward, I could make people think about whether or not he was alive. I guess I didn't write it good enough for people to think if he was alive or not. I kind of wanted the ending to be like The Giver, did Jonas survive at the end or not. I know I never explicitly say Percy anywhere in that section but I had done that intentionally.
Yes, I know some people said the ending was bad and rushed. Like I did say, it was rushed I wanted to finish the story and give people closure before I had completely lost interest in fanfiction and instead leave them hanging. Hopefully you all will understand my decision to rush it.
That's pretty much it. As I did state earlier, I have gotten back into fanfiction recently so I decided to start back up my other story with a new chapter. Feel free to check it out if you guys want. I am testing the waters with that right now, if there is enough interest in it, I will start writing for it again because I have about 20 chapters already planned out, and I would just have to actually write them up.
Anyways, once again thank you for all the people that were here from the beginning when I first started this story, if you're still on fanfiction. Thank you to anybody who has found my story along the way when I was updating. And finally, thank you to the people who might even just find my story now.
