"So, you are a goddess of water?"

"THE goddess of water, healing and arts, thank you very much! I'm one of a kind, really!" Aqua answered proudly, as Yunyun's hands were running through her hair, while Megumin filled a water jug to rinse off the soap.

It's been a while since she had been treated like a goddess should, by anyone other than Kazuma that is, and even then mostly as foreplay. The Crimson Demons though were suitably impressed by her power and grateful for an impromptu healing session, so agreed to wash her long mane for her.

"And Kazuma? Is he a god too?"

Aqua snorted. Kazuma, a god?

"No, he's my holy champion."

The girls exchanged looks, but shrugged and continued with their tasks. Megumin didn't seem to be out of questions yet.

"And you are here on a mission to defeat the Devil King?"

"Yes, exactly!" Aqua nodded. After several months in this world she wasn't very clear on the details anymore, but that must have been it.

"But can't you just, you know, smite him?"

"That," Aqua scratched the back of her head, which was already free of suds, "that's not how these things work."

"And how do they work?" Megumin raised an eyebrow.

"Ugh, it's divine stuff, you wouldn't understand. Can you stop with the questions already?" She was getting annoyed by the persistent archwizard.

Yunyun squeaked behind her, but Megumin just rolled her eyes.

Entering the Guild hall, they quickly found Kazuma and Chris at Aqua's usual table. Both appeared to be glaring at each other, though they quickly turned in Aqua's directions and asked in perfect chorus:

"What took you so long?!"

Aqua huffed and tossed her newly washed hair, not dignifying them with a response.

Then Chris folded her arms and smugly proclaimed:

"Kazuma stole my panties!"

"It was an accident!"

Aqua stared at each of them in turn long enough to make them as uncomfortable as she now was, and then plopped on the bench beside Kazuma, while Megumin and Yunyun sat on Chris's side, making sure to be as far from the boy as possible.

"How can you accidentally steal somebody's panties?" Yunyun asked, blushing.

"She was teaching me the 'Steal' spell! And she stole my wallet!"

Aqua reached out her hand to the thief and waved it meaningfully. After a moment, the other goddess rolled her eyes but pulled out the wallet, which Aqua put in her lap for the time being, as she was still angry at Kazuma, but sadly lacked pockets of her own.

"Did he give them back?"

"I did!" "He did, I suppose."

"Then stop annoying me, both of you."

That seemed to shut them up, and Aqua could finally get started on her food, which thankfully was still warm. Megumin and Yunyun soon ordered as well, and the former tucked in with gusto, as if she hadn't eaten in days. Might be a consequence of both the healing spell and the earlier mana drain.

After they finished their food and (in Aqua's case) her drink, the goddess was getting sleepy after a long day, so leaned her head on Kazuma's shoulder as usual.

For some reason, this caused Yunyun and Megumin to stare at them in confusion.

"You know, Kazuma's not really that bad. I was just kidding around, mostly." Said Chris, trying to break the tension.

"Um, Kazuma, Lady Aqua called you her holy champion?" Yunyun finally asked.

"Lady Aqua?!" "She what?!"

Both Kazuma and Chris seemed to freak out for some reason. Yunyun groaned and put her head in her hands, while Megumin just watched, apparently entertained.

Aqua, robbed of the chance to fall asleep and be carried to bed, raised her head and tried to clear the air.

"Um, the girls know that I'm a goddess."

"Aqua! That's supposed to be a secret!" Kazuma complained. Chris just shook her head.

"What? I just healed them up!"

"With what? A divine spell?!"

"Um, yeah, kind of."

Apparently, not in the listening mood anymore, Kazuma got up and threw some coins on the table, from the wallet he somehow managed to get back in the last few minutes.

"That's it! We are going home. See you all tomorrow!" He called back, already pulling the stumbling goddess after him by her hand.

The Crimson Demons just watched, startled, while Chris sighed, already used to the couple's antics. She turned to the new acquaintances.

"Did Aqua actually say 'holy champion'? Are you sure?"

At Megumin's nod the junior goddess and part time thief shook her head again.

"Interesting..."
