Chapter 3: Sandcastle Water Park

The next day, my mentor, Jenna, her younger sister, Jill and I met Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at Sandcastle Water Park in Homestead. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. After we put our stuff away in the cabana that Alex rented, I rode on some of my favorite waterslides with Sarah, James, and Henri, including the Blue Tubaluba, the Thunder Run, the Tubers Towers, and the Boardwalk Blasters. Then, we all got some food to eat for lunch. Jenna, Jill, and I ordered green salads with iced tea, Sarah ordered a soft pretzel, James ordered Potato Patch fries, Henri ordered nachos and cheese, Alex ordered the chicken strips combo, Justin ordered the cheeseburger combo, and Max ordered the hot dog combo. "Do you plan to host any more outings this fall, Alex?" Sarah asked. "You know, in case the pandemic is still going on by then." "I am so glad that you asked that, Sarah," Alex replied. "That is what I wanted to tell you about. I will see if I can get everyone to go to Arsenal Bowling Lanes and also host our annual Christmas party." "Wow, I wonder how the coronavirus will affect Christmas this year," I stated. "The best Christmas ever was when I opened presents and ate dinner with Sarah, James, and Henri. Do you think that maybe we could just do that this year?" "I might need to consider it if the coronavirus outbreak continues," Alex agreed. "Do you still wish that you had a high school senior trip to Sandcastle, James?" Justin asked. "Of course, Justin," James replied. "But of course, I didn't go to MSG Academy like you guys did. Although, I have been to Sandcastle almost every summer since Angel first met us." "Did you really come here your senior year, Max?" Henri asked. "Yes, Henri," Max replied. "We did a lot of the same things that we were doing today, like riding waterslides and swimming in the wave pool." After lunch, I rode all 4 waterslides again with Alex, Justin, and Max, and then ordered Dippin' Dots ice cream before joining the rest of the group at the Mon Tsunami Wave Pool. "Ricola!" I shouted every time the waves came on. "That joke is as old as you are, Jill," I jokingly stated. "So, you created that joke in 2005?" Jenna asked. "Why did you do that?" Jill asked. "It was a silly answer to one of the game shows that I watched as a kid," I explained. "I'm glad we came to Sandcastle today, Angel," Jill remarked. "Yeah, thanks for inviting us... again!" Jenna thanked. "Would you like to go home and do some fun games and activities, girls?" I asked. "Of course we would," Jenna replied. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to leave. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
