It was a cold and harsh place in the mist village, especially under Yagura. Yagura had gathered the last three members in swordsmen of the mist, Kisame Hoshigake the wielder of Samehada and an Akatsuki mole, Mangetsu Hozuki one of the strongest of the swordsmen of the mist he was being called the second coming of the demon and lastly Zabuza Mamochi the demon of the mist. Yagura, the Mizukage came to the room he addressed his swordsmen "Now with our weakening state with the loss of four of our swordsmen has caused me to come to the conclusion that we must strengthen our numbers, the leaf village has been weakened by the nine-tailed fox incident and my spies have found they have put the fox into a small child called Naruto Uzumaki, I want you to locate and take the child and bring him to the village." After this, the three left the village. The three after a long journey of evading Konoha shinobi the three made it to the gates. Mangetsu looked across the village seeing how there were repairs being done in the homes. Mangetsu said "Man they really are lax on security, even if they just had a tragedy they should have guards on every wall." the three then began to go into the village. Mangetsu then told Kisame and Zabuza "I am going to go on my own." the three then began to on his own. He then looked and saw a small yellow-haired kid walking on his own 'this must be the kid' Mangetsu then went from the roof to the ground in front of him. "Whoa, where did you come from," said the now startled blond kid. Mangetsu then said, "are you Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto then said "Yeah I am Naruto Uzumaki believe it" Mangetsu then smiled and said, "I must take you now." He then touched Naruto's forehead, putting him under a genjutsu. Mangetsu then grabbed the child and began to leave. Mangetsu began to get to the outer areas of the village where he saw Zabuza and Kisame fighting Konoha Anbu. Mangetsu yelled, "what happened here." Zabuza said, "Kisame fought against one Anbu and then more began to join." Kisame then told Mangetsu and Zabuza "you two leave with the kid I will hold them off." Kisame then made mist and the two began to leave.

Yagura went up to the two swordsmen "so you have taken the child back, good now we will have to decide where he will go." Mangetsu then spoke up "excuse me lord Mizukage may I take him in, I believe I would be adequate to train the child." Yagura then responded, "yes, you may do so now leave." The two swordsmen then began to leave for their homes. Zabuza then told Mangetsu "you better not be lax on the brat, I have my own to take care of." Mangetsu responded, "don't worry I know how to take care of a child." Mangetsu then took him to his home in the Hozuki compound. Mangetsu then got to his home, he saw Suigetsu already training. Suigetsu went to Mangetsu and asked him "who is it that you have with you." Mangetsu responded, "this is Naruto I had to retrieve him from the land of fire, he is a Jinchuriki we will be training him." Suigetsu was a little taken back by the fact he is a jinchuriki. Suigetsu then said "is it safe to have him here" Mangetsu then said "yes I believe he is" Mangetsu then released the genjutsu. Naruto then opened his eyes and said "Where am I and who are you." Mangetsu then responded, "I am Mangetsu and we are in the land of water, from this day on you will be part of our family, we are the Hozuki clan."
