(A minute before the fish tank)

Natasha POV

I was sitting on a chair in the common room with the others thinking about what just happened.

"What happened in there she was fine one minute then and then she having a panic attack," Tony asks trying to figure out the young girl. it went quiet for a few seconds.

"if I had to guess I'd say she was scared," Bruce says.

"what would she be so scared of" Thor askes.

"I think she's scared of us. I mean when she looked up at me like she realised who she was talking to." I say

"what do you mean?" Bruce asked

"like when we were all in their she realised who we were and was scared of us," I said wondering what Hydra put her though

"Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Hydra made her think we were the bad guys and not them. It would make it easier for them to get her to fight against us" Steve said angrily "which makes me wonder how long she has been their" Steve concluded.

Then I saw it, out of the corner of my eye this big blue thing go through the room.

When it ended everything was blue and fish were everywhere.

I looked at the others puzzled.

When Thor touched a fish it quickly dissolved

"Fish?" Thor said wondering.

"What are fish doing here?" said Tony as I got up from my chair opened the door and looked out into the hallway.

"it's here too," I said walking back into the room.

"It's almost like... a fish tank," said Steve looking around the room.

There were a few minutes of silence before Bruce spoke up.

"Its Lyna right?, I mean this must be one of her illusions," it sounded right but I couldn't believe she made one this big.

"Jarvis where is Lyna now," Tony asked. "In her bedroom, Sir," Jarvis said back

We walked out of the room and heading to Lyna's room.

On the way I noticed little things floating in the air as if the water was actually there.

We got to the door and somehow I manage to be in front.

I opened the door, turning on the lights as I stepped inside.

I saw Lyna's wolf sleeping on the bed.

Then found Lyna who was sleeping on the ground near one of the side walls.

I walked up to her, sat on the ground and shook her shoulder gently.

"Lyna, wake up," I say. she opens her eyes and sits up. her eyes widen. she looks around the room then back at me.

"wh-where's Wolf," she says nervously. "he's on the bed," I say.

Lyna's POV

I sigh and calm down a little. "did you make this" Bruce says looking at the many fish. 'wolf,' I say through the mind link.

"I'm... I'm not sure," I say quickly. "Lyna can you please get rid of this illusion," Natasha says calmly. "Ok" I whisper and in a couple of seconds, the room is completely normal again and I look at the ground.

'Wolf?' I say worriedly "Lyna, are you ok?" I hear Steve ask, concern in his voice.

"Yes," I say right away. "Do you always create illusions?" Tony asked sounding annoyed. It took me a few minutes to get some courage to speak again. I take a breath.

"Sometimes, it is usually when I get bored, sometimes it happens when I'm asleep," I say.

"Did you do this one while you were asleep?" Thor said. "no, I got bored and I must have fallen asleep?" I said keeping my stare on the floor.

"Why didn't you do something or go exploring the tower?" asked Natasha gently I stayed silent. 'shouldn't they know, maybe it's a trick' I thought.

"I would be punished," I said.

"By who Lyna," Clint said concerned 'Why don't they know? have they forgotten that they've killed people' I take a breath 'they have treated me better than HYDRA though?. I've got my own bed and a bigger room than I ever did at HYDRA. Maybe Hydra where Lying? why would they' I thought

I took a deep breath before answering.

"b..b by one of y.. you or S.. Shield," I said I wasn't capable of talking with these people but I think it was better then them having to wait every couple of minutes for an answer.

"Who told you this?" said Tony disgusted at what you said. I took a couple of breaths.

"Hydra did, they told me who you all are and what you can do and what shield can do. They said that if they hadn't found me then Shield would have killed me on site. I wasn't sure what to believe it over the years but then you got me," I said trying not to think of the memories "I'm sorry" I said on the verge of tears.

'Lyna? are you ok, what did they do to you' wolf said frantically as he got off the bed and came over to me sitting next to Natasha. 'They... they did nothing' I said.

"You have nothing to be sorry for Lyna it was all Hydra fault and we would never hurt you," Natasha said rubbing my shoulder. "promise," she said they all nodded and headed towards the door.

"Do you want to come help make dinner?" said Tony awkwardly I shook my head no as they all walked out. "are you sure you're ok?" Natasha said stopping at the door I nodded she headed out closing the door behind her.

'Lyna are you ok, what happened' he said as tears made their way down my face.

'I... I told the Avengers what h...hydra told me about them and shield. they told me to put down the illusion and they promised me that they weren't going to hurt me. when they left I think all the fear I still have for them came out' I said wiping the tears away.

'hey, hey it's ok, I don't think they'll hurt you Lyna or they wouldn't have made a promise like that' he said 'your right' I said taking a couple of breaths to calm down.

I looked over at the clock, it read 4.05 and I was starting to get tried from crying or maybe it from all that been happening in a short amount of time.

'I might try and go back to sleep' i told Wolf as I laid back down and closed my eyes.

'ok,' Wolf said as I felt him lie down next to me. soon we were both asleep.

"Miss Mist, Mr Stark would like to know if you are coming for dinner,"

I jumped awake startled by the voice.

"w.. who are u," I said scared.

"I'm JARVIS Mr Starks A.I. I help Mr Stark wherever I can, I also run most of the tower so if you need anything just call me, I'm always here.

anyway, Mr Stark was would like to know if you are coming to dinner" he said. I stayed still for a moment taking his words in.

"can you tell him that I will come for dinner," I said unsure he heard me.

"Of course" he replied.

I walking towards the door Wolf following behind me.

I took a deep breath as I opened the door and walked out into the hallway. "can you smell where they are" I asked Wolf.

'1) I can their this way' he said walking down the corridor. 'And 2 why didn't you use the mind link?' he said.

'1) Thank you and 2) I wanted to know if you could still hear me if I talked' I said knowing it was a really stupid idea. 'Of cause, he can hear me' I thought. We turned around the corner and headed down some stairs.

'Lyna, are you going to be ok, I mean your eating with these guys' he said sounding worried. 'I don't know, but they said they wouldn't hurt me, right?' I said he stopped and turned to me as I looked at him,

'I'm really worried about you Lyna, Hydra told you Shield and the Avengers were the enemy for 7 years' he said. 'what's your point wolf' I say not wanting to remember Hydra

'Lyna I worried you're going to flip out at this dinner, that you're going to have this stage of fear' he said worriedly I sighed and sat down on my knees.

'Your right, I still fear them it may take months even years to get over my fear but I know that even if I lock myself in my room for weeks fearing them that I'll have won't ever get past it and I won't know if Hydra were lying or not' I paused 'will you look after me and help me through this dinner' I asked begging. 'of cause I will Lyna, your so brave' he said moving his face closer and licking my cheek.

we continued walking and soon arrived at a door. Wolf sniffed the air.

'They should all be in there' he said. 'Thank you. Do you think I should knock, I mean that I've never gone into a room freely before' I said looking at the door confused 'I think so' he said.

I knock on the door and heard everything in the room go quiet.

"Come in," said a voice I opened the door to see that the room had a kitchen on one side and a large table on the other.

"Hi, um sorry I'm late," I said looking around the room seeing that nearly all of the Avengers were sitting around the table eating.

"Your not late at all we were just serving up tea now," said Natasha near the bench serving up what looked like lasagne to Steve. I walked up as Natasha gave me a plate of lasagne. I went and sat over at the table next to Steve. Wolf laid down a bit behind the chair I was sitting on.

I picked up the fork and started spreading it out, it makes a clinking sound against the bowl startling me at first but then got used to it.

I started to try and get some food on this fork but it wouldn't work, I stared down at the fork thinking 'ok, what have I done wrong. how come it's not staying on the fork?' I looked around at the table and then noticed I had the fork up upside down.

(Note that she was taken when she was 6 and didn't properly get used to using a fork, and Hydra didn't give her and utensils to eat food with)

I quickly flip it over and start eating this time the food staying on the fork; I continued to eat until I had enough I heard the Avengers all chatting around the table.

"How is the food, Lyna?" Steve asked.

"Um, it was really good, the best I've had in a while," I said timidly. "That's good, you can thank Natasha for the food," Steve said getting Natasha attention who was sitting on the other side of me at the end of the table.

"Thank you, Natasha," I said looking her way giving her a small smile,

"That's ok, I'm just glad you, like it," she said and I saw something appear above her head it was her Biki it looked like a little ghost.

Natasha's biki had a black widow suit on and had brown wings and was now flying around the top of her head doing loops and other things.

"Lyna?" Steve said moving my arm a little, I turned to him and saw his biki it looked like a little Captain America "I'm so sorry, what were you saying" I said

"I was asking if you were ok, you were staring off into space," Natasha said as I looked back to her and then back at the table.

"Sorry I was just, lost in thought," I said as I felt Natasha and Steve share an uneasy look, I looked up again looking around the table to see that I could to see everyone's Biki.

Tony's – was Iron man flying around in circles.

Clint's – was him wearing a black and dark purple costume with short black wings and a cape flying around shooting arrows.

Thor's – was him wearing some kind of crown and swinging his hammer around everywhere.

Bruce – was him as the hulk with a devil-like tail.

I took a breath and went back to eating when I heard a voice from across the table. "Hey Lyna, I was wondering how you got here," said Tony

"Oh um" I paused for a little bit before answering

"Um, well I got Wolf to track your scents and it lead us here," I said and continued eating.

I looked back at my plate to see that I only took a bite or two but I was already full

"Um... Natasha thank you for the meal and all but I'm um.. kind of full, sorry' I said looking at the table as I felt everyone's eyes on me.

"that's ok we'll just have that as leftovers ok," she said as I nodded

After that, the Avengers put everything away and we sat there and the Avengers started talking. I would only talk if I was spoken to, 'Lyna' said wolf as I looked over my shoulder 'yeah' I said 'I'm so sorry to bother you but I have to pee, can you take me outside please or do you feel brave enough to be alone with these people for a few minutes while I teleport' he said.
